nissan tiida engine oil. What oil to fill in a nissan tiida engine

Nissan Tiida's first service is at the 5,000th milestone mark. This includes the first oil change. Further from replacement to replacement, you can ride 15,000 kilometers. The main thing is to pour good oil. Nissan oil is the same Elf, by the way. Only under a high-profile brand and with a slightly higher price. But using Elf instead of the original one may void the warranty.

At the factory, 5w40 is poured into the engine. This is a very thick oil, and it is unacceptable for winter. Of course, the car will drive, but not in the way it can. After the first five thousand, consider switching to a more liquid one. A good option for winter is 0W-20. The original 5W-20 is suitable for both winter and summer. Well, or look for oils of similar viscosity from other manufacturers.

So, the car is on a horizontal surface. We start the engine, warm it up to operating temperature, turn it off, let the oil drain, and after 15 minutes we get to work. We take a key or head for 14 and unscrew the drain plug. The volume of oil in the engine is 4.3 liters. Drains into the container a little more than four liters. We are not in a hurry, let the oil drip for about ten minutes.

Be sure to change all the gaskets and the oil filter along with the oil. It may be the original, or it may be an analogue. Putting your hand on your heart, there is no difference. Whatever you find on the counter, take it.

We clean all surfaces that will be connected through sealing washers. We carefully clean the filter seat. We put a new one. 300 grams of oil should be poured into it, that is, about two-thirds of its volume.

We close the cork. If there is a torque wrench, set the torque to 35 Nm. Now we can pour fresh oil. The manual recommends pouring 4.3 liters directly into the neck, remembering that 300 grams have already been poured into the filter. That is, it took a total of 4.6 liters of oil. We remove all smudges, wipe dry with a rag. We start the car and observe all the connections. If in ten to fifteen minutes oil has not appeared anywhere, then the system is tight. We check the level on a hot engine.

When we bought the car, OD (autoprodix in ekb) said that only Nissan oil should be poured, otherwise they will remove the guarantee
Moreover, the oil should be changed every 15,000 and only at OD.
I don’t like the figure of 15,000 at all, I think you need to change the oil every 5-7000. I asked the OD if I buy oil myself and change it, to which I received an answer - fly off the guarantee, even if you buy NISSAN oil from the OF and change it yourself ...
Honestly, some kind of nonsense, how can an oil change take a car out of warranty? pull out the cork - pour. but somehow I don’t want to pay 2000 for this, if I don’t want to get dirty myself, then they change it in any service station for 200 rubles ...

OD ALWAYS pursues first of all the interests. There are instructions in the manual for oil. By following these recommendations, you fulfill the manufacturer's requirements. The dealer here is like a gasket between the factory and the owner of the car, nothing more. This is due to the choice of oil in the engine

If you change the oil yourself, no dealer can prove it. And most likely he will not do this, because these are his costs for examination, etc. If there are concerns about the quality of work when changing oil not at OD, ask the mechanic (locksmith) to carefully unscrew the drain plug, tighten it just as carefully and remove all oil smudges. Everything will then be covered with dust, no one will understand whether the drain plug was unscrewed or not.

Further, the mechanic at the OD simply fulfills the work regulations, i.e. he needs to change the oil, and not to study what you have and how ... Therefore, change the oil when you want and where you want, while not forgetting to come to the OD for routine maintenance.

Regarding the service interval, in my opinion, the figure is 10-15 thousand km. nothing more than the marketing consequences of the production process and auto warranty service. Oils are now such that they can withstand an interval between maintenance of 20 thousand km or more without much damage. The same Ford and Mazda quite recently in every way adhered to exactly the 20,000th run between oil changes. I don’t believe that the situation with engine materials and oil quality has fallen sharply, which was the reason for reducing the oil change interval to 15 thousand, I see this as a banal desire for financial gain.

A simple example is the United States, where there are recommendations for changing oil after 5-7 thousand miles. But at the same time, it is silent that states often use inexpensive mineral oil, which is not intended for long runs, which is the reason for frequent oil changes.

As a result, if you wish, change it yourself, in a friend's garage or in an unofficial service. Just follow the manufacturer's recommendations for oil and original consumables. If the OD suddenly has suspicions about your actions, then let him prove them, this is his problem!

He himself changed the oil on his cars based on his goals and mileage of the car, regularly visiting the dealer for maintenance. Never had a problem!

Not every experienced owner of the popular Nissan Tiida car, due to various life circumstances and human factors, will take into account all the parameters for choosing the right oil for the engine of his car. The same applies to novice motorists who do not pay attention to the established rules and hope for the best outcome of the situation. As a result, after some time, another problem arises, and only then the owner understands what to do next - to sell the car or service it further on his own, since the warranty has already ended. Fortunately, in the case of Nissan Tiida, some procedures can be performed independently - for example, how to choose the right oil for the Nissan Tiida engine. The article will be useful for both beginners and experienced motorists who do not want to repeat their mistakes during the further operation of the Nissan Tiida.

First of all, you need to pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendations, and then be guided by advice and any marketing tricks. This is true, but on the other hand, the established rules may not always be useful, for example, for harsh climatic and road conditions, as in Russia. Nissan advises not to change the oil at all, which is supposedly designed for the entire life of the Nissan Tiida. And there is still a condition here - if you fill in only the original Nissan oil. But in Russian conditions, even the most expensive lubricant often does not help. Based on this, we can conclude, referring to the recommendations of professionals and former owners of Nissan Tiida - the engine oil change schedule, taking into account difficult climatic factors, should be an average of 30 thousand kilometers.

As for other criteria, such as viscosity parameters, only official recommendations should be preferred here. Let's consider them in more detail:
Oil for HR16DE and MR18DE engines must comply with the following parameters:

  1. According to API standard - oil type must be SL or SM
  2. According to the ILSAC standard - the oil class must be GF-3 or GF-4
  3. Oil quality according to ACEA specification - A1 / B1, A3 / B3, A3 / B4, A5 / B5, C2 / C3

How much oil to fill

1.For HR16DE engine:

  • with oil filter - 4.3 liters
  • excluding oil filter - 4.1 liters

2.For MR18DE engine:

  • if you take into account the oil filter - 4.4 liters
  • excluding oil filter - 4.2 liters

Viscosity parameters:

  • 5W-30; 5W-40 - when the air temperature is within - (minus) 30 +40 degrees
  • 10W-30; 10W-40; 10W-50 - when the air temperature exceeds minus 20 degrees
  • 15W-40; 15W-50 - if the air temperature is above minus 15 degrees
  • 20W-40; 20W-50 - when the temperature is above minus 10 degrees

The user manual for Nissan Tiida indicates that the most optimal viscosity option is 5W-30.

As you know, when choosing an oil, you first need to pay attention to the factory parameters, and then give preference to a specific brand. Let's highlight the best oil companies: Mobil, Castrol, Lukoil, Rosneft and others. The Nissan Tiida is filled with original Nissan grease from the factory.

How to change the oil on a Nissan Tiida

Changing the oil in a Nissan Tiida engine is practically no different from a similar procedure for other cars of this brand. If the work is done by a person who has already done it at least a couple of times on other cars, then there should be no questions. But for those who for the first time decided to carry out the maintenance of their car on their own, we recommend reading our article, and after that you should do the work itself. By the way, who else is going to deepen their knowledge, I recommend reading the material -

When do authorized dealers recommend changing the oil in a Nissan Tiida engine?

If you follow the official Nissan Tiida maintenance regulations, then engine oil should be replaced either once a year or after 15 thousand kilometers. It all depends on what happens first. But I will constantly say that this is not entirely correct. As laboratory tests show, additives in almost all oils begin to lose their properties already at 7-8 thousand runs. Therefore, the best option would be to replace Nissan Tiida engine oil at a mileage of 7.5 thousand km. Usually, after two such MOTs, I also do.

What kind of oil to fill in the engine when replacing?

K9K 1.5 l - 4.4 l
HR16DE 1.6 l - 4.5 l
MR18DE 1.8 l - 4.5 l

What is required to change the oil in a Nissan Tiida engine?

1. New engine oil in accordance with the required volume.
2. Oil filter. For gasoline engines - Nissan 152089F60A and its analogues, for diesel 1.5l - 1520800QAB and its corresponding duplicates.
3. With each oil change, the copper sealing ring of the drain plug is also changed. For gasoline modifications - 11026JA00A, for diesel - 1102600QAA.
4. We will also need tools such as a spade screwdriver, a 10" and a 14" ratchet socket.
5. A container for working off, a clean napkin, preferably a funnel for pouring new liquid.

The progress of the oil change in the Nissan Tiida 1.6 engine

1. Initially, in order for the oil to thin, you need to warm up the engine to operating temperature. After that, stop the engine and open the hood cover.

3. Unscrew the oil filler cap.

4. If protection is installed, then before changing the oil in the Nissan Tiida 1.6 engine, it must be dismantled. This is easy to do, but takes a little time. First, with a screwdriver at the edges near the wheel, we pull out two plastic clips. Then, using a 10" wrench, unscrew 4 bolts from the front of the shield and remove it to the side.

5. With a 14 "head and a ratchet, unscrew the drain plug from the oil pan, after substituting a container for working out under it. Please note that the oil will flow out hot, so try not to get it on your skin and burn you.

6. Now you need to unscrew the oil filter. If you can’t turn it off with your own strength, and there is no special puller, then we just pierce it with a screwdriver and unscrew it by the resulting lever. Be prepared for engine oil to leak from the filter.

7. When the oil has stopped dripping, and this happens mainly after 10-15 minutes, we wrap the drain plug in place, having previously changed the sealing ring on it.

8. ... and put a new filter, lubricating its rubber gasket with engine oil. We wrap it simply by hand without the use of special tools. Be careful not to overtighten the filter to avoid future oil leaks.

9. We install the protection in place if we dismantled it.

10. Let's start pouring new oil into the engine. We put a funnel in the filler neck and fill in new oil. The oil level is controlled using an oil dipstick. When the fluid level in the engine has reached the maximum upper mark, we wrap the cap and put the dipstick in place.

11. We start the engine and wait until the oil pressure lamp goes out. When this happens immediately turn off and wait 1-2 minutes. Then check the level again. if it is established between the MIN and MAX marks, then close the cork and enjoy the work done.

Changing the oil in a Nissan Tiida engine video

And we are talking to you. Thank you for your attention and see you soon.

On a Nissan Tiida, changing the oil will not take much time and effort, so you can not give your baby into the hands of servicemen, but change the oil in the engine with your own hands. Previously, you could see the video on, and so in the engine it’s naturally not more difficult to do this. There is also a lot of information on changing the oil in the engine.

When to change and what kind of oil to fill in Tiida

The oil change interval is 15,000 km or 12 months. Along with the oil, the oil filter also changes.

It is recommended to pour original oil Nissan 5W40 or Nissan 5W30 SN (a 5 liter canister is enough no matter what engine you have - 1.5 liters, or 1.8, although there is a difference in the amount of oil in the engine, but it is within five liters). The number of the canister for 5 liters of Nissan 5-W40 oil is KE90090042R.

Filling volume of oil for the engine:

  • 1.5 K9K - 4.4 liters of new oil;
  • 1.6 HR16DE - 4.5 liters of new oil;
  • 1.8 MR18DE - 4.5 liters of new oil.

original oil filter Nissan 152089F60A (also 152089F600) - for gasoline engines. Analogs: MANN FILTER W671, MAHLE C1052, PURFLUX LS892, DENSO 1501010, CHAMPION C180606 and others. For diesel engine 1.5 - 1520800QAB, and analogues: MANN FILTER W753, BOSCH 451103336, PURFLUX LS932, WIX FILTERS WL7254 and others.

You will also need a copper sealing washer drain plug - 11026JA00A. It is disposable and must be replaced when changing the oil, otherwise the oil will leak. Diesel engine needs washer 1102600QAA.

Of the tools you will need:

  • ratchet;
  • head on "14" and on "10";
  • filter puller;
  • flat screwdriver.

Everything you need for a successful oil change. And also a viewing hole or overpass (you can drive a car onto an impromptu overpass made of blocks and boards).

After a slight warm-up of the engine, open the filler cap.

Then we crawl under the car and look for the location of the drain plug and oil filter in order to unscrew it. On different motors, their placement is slightly different and in some cases you may not even see it right away (you will have to remove the protection).

In this case, so far we see only the drain hole bolt, and we will find out where the filter is a little later.

And so, with a 14 key or a ratchet head, we unscrew the drain bolt (substituting an empty container for working out in advance).

In the meantime, the oil is draining, we continue the procedure for changing the oil to the Nissan Tiida and the next step is to replace the oil filter. On this car, the filter is behind the protection, so in order to unscrew it, you need to dismantle it. And it's pretty easy to do so...

First, use a flat screwdriver to pull out 4 clips (2 on the left and the same number on the right)

Then unscrew the 4 bolts securing the protection. Remove and set aside.

Here is the oil filter. but to unscrew it you need a special puller. If this was not at hand (this probably could be if this is your first independent oil change), then you can either quickly or vandally pierce it with a screwdriver and unscrew it, or wrap it with sandpaper and try to unscrew it with your hands.
