I would like to "be filled with nightingale" - for a long time, diligently and carefully, I would list the options of my configuration and would hardly mention non-warranty replacements (clutch, racks). Well, not the point. Wrote - as it really is. There are two main club forums on the Internet - Ukrainian and Russian (I don’t give links, it’s forbidden by the rules of the resource), on which people have been slowly dismantling every Geely MK part for many years (Rolf imported this car to Russia, AIS is engaged in assembly in Ukraine). And the information there is by no means closed. And no - it’s not pompous, there are serial jambs - few original racks have passed more than 30,000, there are technological miscalculations - one rear air duct valve on only one side, apparently because of this, windows on the driver’s side tighten more. There are also successful jambs - copying the vios (it is right-hand drive, made for Malaysia), the Chinese rearranged the steering wheel, forgot or were too lazy to fill the tank neck. Queues at gas stations are not terrible for me now (I drive up from the other side, like a "prul"). But most of all they are valuable with information about the Geely MK resource and its components. And according to information from my dealer, and according to the forums, mileage over 200,000 for this car is quite the norm. And no one described anything serious (corrosion, overhaul). No one has run 300,000 yet (or they all rotted and fell apart - I don't know). And there, analogues of original spare parts have been carefully selected for a long time (and the resource of these very original components has been calculated). For example, the native rear engine cushion lives for a season and a half (it dies by the second winter) or 60 thousand. According to dealer brandbooks, it changes for a long time and tediously, at exorbitant prices (more than a standard hour according to the service master) and costs about 150 bucks. Ours quickly picked up an analogue for 10 (i.e., 15 times cheaper) bucks and a replacement method in 30 minutes with smoke breaks (this is if you yourself and in the pit). Distracted something...

This car is not suitable for a taxi. Taxis are runs of 150-200 per day. With such runs, you often have to change consumables - this is unprofitable. For a taxi profitable - Lancer. Japanese assembly, replacement of racks after 80,000, replacement of hubs and belts after 120,000. And we took Lanos in a taxi first. Calculate the cost of ownership and stop.

The tanks there burst on their own, all sorts of covers, tubes are torn (well, it’s just sad when the rear washer hose breaks at a bend because it’s “pulled in” and in order to increase it you need to disassemble the floor of the car), it eats oil, it doesn’t go more than 150 ( rides, but scary), the gearshift lever rattles forever and this is incurable, after 50,000 each piston in the cabin and each bracket imagines itself to be a musician, the consumption rises to 10 per 100 and until you change all the sensors, you will not make sure that you have covered cat. You can ride all this, but spend the weekend at Uncle Vasya's garage or in a "familiar" service. The Chinese, on the other hand, stood motionless for three days only once - the dealer changed the clutch (why did he do this for three days - well, such a dealer). And this is really the only car out of all the farthest ones, in which, apart from the pump, wires and cable, I didn’t buy anything else “on duty”. Usually, by the end of the first month, a box with tools, refills and spare parts was started in the trunk.

About Bosch, by the way. The ignition coil started up in the second ten of the run, it was Bosch, and then in small letters "made in polan" or "finland" - something like that. Replacement under warranty, now it costs the same boss, but already made in China. It's worth it, and it's worth it, and it's worth it...
