Before changing the oil in the variator, it is necessary to remove the crankcase / gearbox protection according to the manufacturer's instructions or remove the back of the nameplate. Dismantling is carried out on a pit, overpass or lift.


To do this, unscrew the 2 x 10 bolts on the sides of the attachment to the front of the subframe and remove 4 clips from the side parts and 1 clip from the front of the subframe.

To remove the pistons, hook the central part of the piston and pull it down about 8 mm. After that, the piston is easily removed from the hole.


It is convenient to unscrew the bolts with a head, because. they are recessed inside the shield. But you can get by with an ordinary open-end wrench.

Changing the oil in the variator must be done on a warm engine and gearbox. Before you start draining the oil, you need to remove the CVT dipstick and check the level.


To remove the probe from the seat on the tube, use a slotted screwdriver to press the locking tab and pull the probe up.


On a warm box, the oil level will be higher than the marks on the dipstick and tend to the inscription > HOT<.

From tools and improvised means you will need:

  • ring wrench for 10;
  • funnel for draining oil;
  • capacity for old grease with a volume of at least 8 liters;
  • liquids for washing the pan and filter (carburetor cleaner and diesel fuel);
  • rag.


The replacement of transmission oil in a 2014 Nissan Qashqai car must be carried out in a certain sequence.

  6. The crankcase of the box and the magnets on it, as well as the filter, are cleaned of dirt and metal particles with diesel fuel and a carburetor cleaner. If the filter does not wash off, you will have to replace it with a new one.
  7. The filter is installed in its place. The pallet with a new gasket also needs to be installed back. The drain plug with a new copper gasket is screwed on.

Next, the fine filter is replaced. To replace it, you will have to remove the air duct and battery under the hood, unscrew the bolts securing the platform under the air duct. Before that, remove the left wheel and partially unscrew the fender liner.

Getting to the heat exchanger will be quite difficult. It should be remembered that oil flows through thin pipes of the oil cooler, and antifreeze flows through thick pipes. The oil cooler is unscrewed and the filter located inside is changed.

Finally, all parts and pipes are installed in place. New oil is poured through the funnel into the dipstick hole. Usually it takes from 7 to 7.5 liters of lubricant. Periodically check the oil level with a dipstick. Then you need to warm up the engine and transmission well and add lubricant if necessary. This completes the procedure for replacing the transmission fluid in a 2013 Nissan Qashqai car.

4. Oil liter 999MPNS300P and 4 liters KLE5300004 or 5L KE90999943. Or Ravenol NS3. I used 1 (0.964l) and 4 liters - the same thing, Japan. The price is somewhere around 5-6 tons for 4 liters. The rest just did not check. For a complete replacement without removing the pan, you need 11 liters. For partial, about 5. With the removal of the pallet, another half liter will be added. Therefore, take 12 liters in the first case, 6 in the second, if you plan to remove the pan.
5. Ring for fine filter - 315263VX0A - 100r
6. The fine filter itself - 31726-28X0A 400r or less. Filter size: length 63mm, diameter 37mm. The 31726-3JX0A (previous version) will also work, which has exactly the same dimensions and shape.
7. O-ring for the sump 315261XG0A (old code, therefore more accessible) or 31526-1XZ0C - 100-200 rubles. According to the procedure, it is supposed to be replaced, but you can put the old one. But when we replaced it, we dropped it into the oil and did not look for it.
8. Ring for the level control plug - overflow plug 315263VX0B - for aesthetes - 100 rubles. Nothing will be done to him if you put the old one. Regular gum.

Complete replacement - pour 3 liters of oil (considering that we removed the pan and sump - 3.5, and the procedure is designed for a simple drain), run the box, start the engine and drive the selector through all positions for 5 seconds, muffle, drain, pour another 3 liters oils, repeat the procedure
It is most convenient to fill the oil through the upper hole of the former dipstick, you will need a small funnel and remove the plug .....

Now we need to set the level ..... the procedure is a little bit dreary.
First things first, you need to cook everything and wait for the temperature in the box to 35 degrees. It is important!
It may take a long time to wait. To speed up, you can blow a fan on the car.
It may take an hour and a half to wait, if we did not do a complete oil change - then the oil is already more or less cold.

I must say right away that it is probably possible to perform the procedure for setting the level, as in the service manual, but it is extremely difficult. The manual says that you need to fill in the oil through the level control plug (overflow plug) half a liter, then wait until the excess drains. On a running engine.
At a temperature of 40 degrees.
And the oil warms up when the engine coolant is above 70 degrees rapidly - it goes through the heater.
And such a procedure will take 5 hours, no less, because after one iteration, everything will cool down for another hour and a half.

So we slightly modify the procedure, taking into account the presence of a hole for the former probe .....

So. We raise the car on a lift - one in the cabin (it will start), one at the bottom - unscrew the plug, one on a stepladder near the hood - a filler.
We unscrew the level control plug - overflow plug (top left on the vario, you can see it). Slowly pour in the oil until it flows out of it.
Now the oil has partially filled the GT and at startup it will take another 600-700 ml. Immediately prepare the right amount.

We start and run the selector over all positions for 5 seconds and set it to P. From this moment on, everything must be done quickly.
If so, check the temperature. If not, she hasn't run away much by this time.
Slowly add oil until it runs out of the plug. Screw on the overlow plug.
