Sooner or later, any technique fails in the system. The reasons for such troubles can be very different: non-fulfillment of operating conditions, wear of old parts, poor-quality assembly of the unit itself, and so on. In any case, no matter which of these reasons is, it is necessary to repair the equipment. Today we will talk about all kinds of malfunctions with Agro walk-behind tractors. We will try to figure out the repair without contacting service centers for this.

Engine starting problems

Motor failures fall into two categories:

  • The engine won't start at all.
  • The engine runs, but intermittently.

If the diesel engine does not start on the Agro walk-behind tractor: causes and solutions

  1. Before starting the engine on a walk-behind tractor, you need to conduct a thorough inspection of all equipment. Are all parts and fasteners in place, as they are fixed.
  2. One of the reasons for this problem may be stagnation after a cold winter, which leads to the following problems:
    1. contacts are oxidized;
    2. oil and fuel are flooded;
    3. clogged jets in the carburetor;
    4. wire insulation may be damaged.
  3. Another reason may be outdated oil, which needs to be changed urgently.
  4. A huge nuance is the correct fuel for a particular engine model. If it is 2-stroke, then you need to fill in such a mixture in appropriate proportions.

Setting up nodes and mechanisms

How to determine for the Agro walk-behind tractor that the diesel engine does not start precisely due to malfunctions of components and mechanisms. Everything is very simple, if after the following series of operations the engine fails at startup, then the problem is in the mechanisms:

  • preparing fuel;
  • we feed it into the cylinder;
  • turn on the ignition;
  • release all exhaust gases.

To determine the cause of a breakdown in the nodes, you must first carry out a detailed diagnosis. The diagnosis made will be able to identify the true cause of the malfunction, and this may be:

  • the fuel supply path may be clogged;
  • broken carburetor;
  • the air filter may not let air in;
  • clogged fuel tank cap.

It is also important to pay attention to the candle, if it is dry, then this means that fuel is not entering the combustion chamber. What do we do in this case:

  1. Completely drain the gasoline.
  2. We clean and rinse the tank.
  3. We clean the filter.
  4. Blow out the fuel supply hose.
  5. We blow jets in the carburetor.
  6. We fill the tank.
  7. We open the faucet.
  8. We are cleaning the respiratory canal.

Repair of the ignition system

The cause of a breakdown in the ignition can be hidden in the following details: a candle, a magneto, a cap and a high-voltage wire. How to troubleshoot various issues:

  1. If there is no or weak spark, the intermediate gap and the condition of the electrodes must be adjusted. The adjustment gap should be standard 0.8 mm.
  2. If a low compression ratio is found in the cylinder, then you just need to change the worn parts.
  3. When adjusting the valves, it is imperative that both valves, inlet and outlet, fit snugly and tightly to the seat.
  4. Silencer cleaning.

How to repair a gasoline engine?

Before finding the true cause of the malfunction of this part, it is worth taking a number of actions:

  1. We turn on the ignition and check the presence of fuel in the tank.
  2. Open the fuel cock.
  3. Check if the carburetor choke is closed.
  4. Now you need to check if the fuel goes directly to the carburetor. To do this, simply disconnect the fuel hose from it and see if gasoline runs freely. If gasoline flows poorly in a thin stream or does not run at all, the tank air valve cover is clogged. And then it just needs to be cleaned.

How to repair a starter for a motoblock Agro

Basically, the essence of such a repair is to correct the places where the springs are attached or the elementary replacement of several parts. Problem solution:

  1. If the cord breaks, replace it.
  2. If there is no hook on one of the ends of the annular spring, then it must be bent or the spring should be changed altogether.

Read the diagram carefully, and carry out all repairs, only relying on it.

If the gearbox chain has failed?

Such a breakdown will be indicated by a stop in the rotation of the power take-off shaft of the walk-behind tractor, and the gearbox itself will simply wedge. It is possible that the chain itself has burst, then it just needs to be replaced and the PTO will resume its work.
Also, very often owners of walk-behind tractors have problems with adjusting attachments. For example, adjusting a plow on a walk-behind tractor involves the following steps:

  • We fix the hitch with 1 pin, where the play in the horizontal position should correspond to 5 ° - 6 °.
  • We adjust the depth of plowing. The norm will be somewhere deepening into the ground by 5 - 7 cm.
  • Adjust the angle of attack. We place the walk-behind tractor with a plow on a flat surface. We unscrew the adjusting screw so that the plow touches the ground. And we unscrew the screw back until the back of the canopy rises 2.5 cm from the ground.

These are the main points of plow adjustment that need to be done when installing it.
Of course, such breakdowns of the Agro walk-behind tractor, such as turning on the power take-off shaft, adjusting the clutch, can be eliminated with your own hands without much difficulty. Also, in the event of a malfunction of the Agro walk-behind tractor, it is worth contacting its instruction manual, where all problems with such equipment should be described in more detail. If you still understand, for example, you need to disassemble the imported engine of your unit, that you are not sure that you will do it right, then it is still better to contact specialists. Still, in service centers they can make a detailed diagnosis and establish where the problem is with an accuracy of 100%. So in cases of doubt, it is better to turn to professionals.

You should not start repairing a gearbox on a walk-behind tractor yourself if the operation of the unit and its device for a new user are a complete secret. Since the gearbox is a rather complicated unit, you should not proceed to repairing it yourself immediately after detecting breakdowns. It will be better if the repair of the checkpoint is carried out by professionals.

If an oil leak from the gearbox is detected, it means that the seals of the bearing assemblies were incorrectly installed or worn out. They can be poorly tightened on the lids. Under them, damaged gaskets may appear. If the air valve (breather) turned out to be clogged, it is necessary to clean it and bring the oil level to normal. Oil leakage can be eliminated by replacing or properly installing oil seals or gaskets. Tightening the cover bolts will also help solve the problem.

Types of violations in the checkpoint and ways to correct them

If the automatic transmission mechanism has ceased to function normally, then the following types of malfunctions may be observed:

  1. Violation of the kinematic connection inside the gearbox.
  2. Spontaneous inclusion of gears or lack of their fixation.
  3. Oil leak on shift shaft.
  4. Violation of the function of the mechanism of separation of the semiaxes.
  5. No gear change.
  6. Gear jamming.

If the kinematic connection inside the gearbox is broken or the sprocket in the block is broken, it is necessary to disassemble the gearbox in order to replace the problem sprocket. The cause of oil leakage on the shift shaft may be excess oil in the gearbox, so the oil level must be checked. When the welding connection of the gear is broken, after disassembling the gearbox, the block shaft is changed. Draining excess oil, you should check the degree of wear of the working edge of the cuff on the shift shaft, disassemble the gearbox and replace the part.

The reason for the lack of fixation of gears or their spontaneous disengagement is a violation of the adjustment of the gear shift mechanism. When making repairs, loosen the screws securing the switching mechanism board.

After that, turn on the first gear and tighten the screws securing the board. For example, having made a minitractor with your own hands, it is imperative to monitor the correct adjustment of the drive by changing the tension of the cable for controlling the separation of the semiaxes. In order to fix the breakage of any element of the axle disengagement drive inside the gearbox, the gearbox should be disassembled, replacing the broken parts.

If a broken spring or worn shift plate retainers are found, replace the damaged parts by performing a shift adjustment. If it is missing, the shift cracker or the threaded piece of the shift knob may be cut off. After disassembling the gearbox, it will be necessary to replace defective parts. If there is no gear shift, the gearbox should be disassembled and the worn shift fork replaced. If the cause of the jamming of the gearbox was an open circuit, then it should be disassembled and the chain replaced.

If the operation of the gearbox is accompanied by increased noise in the gearbox, then the reason for this may be a lack of oil in the gearbox device or a discrepancy between the quality of the lubricant and the required parameters. It is necessary to choose oils of the appropriate brand, they must have a certain purity. If there are any problems, you will need to change the oil or add it to the gearbox.

The occurrence of noise in the transmission units of the walk-behind tractor can be caused by a weak tightening of the fasteners, so it is necessary to inspect the fasteners by tightening them properly.

The cause of frequent noise is the wear of gears with bearings. This can lead to more serious damage to the gearbox of the walk-behind tractor. It is not difficult to avoid their appearance if you do timely inspection and repair of the walk-behind tractor. It consists in the usual replacement of worn components and parts.

If the transmission units of the walk-behind tractor are heated, the following main causes of this malfunction are distinguished:

  1. Lack of gear oil in crankcases.
  2. Bearing wear.
  3. The oil condition does not meet the required parameters.

There are two reasons for correcting deficiencies:

  • replaced bearings;
  • adding or changing oil.

In order for a gearbox or a homemade gearbox to last longer, it is necessary to periodically check the oil level in them, for fear of a sharp change in load.

Signs of violations associated with difficulties in switching speeds, spontaneous shutdown, violation of the process of turning on the unit, occur for the following reasons:

  1. Depreciation of parts.
  2. Abrasion of shaft splines.
  3. Incorrect clutch adjustment.

Rolling (wear) of the ends of the engaging gears causes two problems, leading to self-shutdown or incomplete engagement of speeds.

Conclusion

If the factory or home-made box works with any violations, it will be necessary to disassemble it, as well as edit the gear teeth by grinding. With sufficient wear, new parts must be installed. To adjust the axial position of the shafts, additional installation of locking rings is required. In certain cases, worn bearings and rings should be replaced.

The gearbox clutch for the walk-behind tractor should be adjusted in a timely manner, otherwise it will no longer be squeezed out and difficulties may arise when shifting gears. Difficulties in driving a walk-behind tractor often arise for beginners who, due to inexperience, can lower the clutch lever too early when shifting gears.

Motoblock Agro is a multifunctional, agricultural module for performing agricultural work on household and farm land plots of small and large areas. The unit was specially developed in 1996 for a class of heavy agricultural implements called Agros by PJSC "UEC-Ufimsk Motor-Building Production Association" (Russia).

The manufacturer of the motoblock Agro is constantly working to improve motor vehicles, modernizing its individual assembly units and parts, increasing demand. The walk-behind tractor is included in the heavy category of professional units, it is distinguished by high power, long-term operation and ease of use. Due to the large weight and increased traction force, the Agro agricultural mechanism performs all tillage operations.

The Agros motoblock engine with a volume of 333 cm³ is similar in design features to the Japanese Honda GX240 engine, has a lower compression ratio, and is less whimsical about fuel. The machine is designed for gasoline from A-76 to AI-92.

The module has a reliable transmission and a 2-by-2 wheel running system. The wheels are mounted on the final drive shafts and are equipped with pneumatic tires with a pressure of 0.08-0.12 MPa.

Motoblock Agros has a steering rod, adjustable in height and changing direction in the opposite, left or right side at an angle of 30 ° to the main movement.

The manufacturer has also improved the lubrication system. The oil is supplied to the friction parts under pressure through the pump after filtering.

Attachment

Complete with trailed and attachments for the Agros walk-behind tractor, with the help of a hitch, the unit is able to perform a wide range of agricultural work, including:

  • plowing the site;
  • loosening, leveling the soil;
  • melioration;
  • crushing and removal of weeds;
  • hilling of industrial crops;
  • harrowing;
  • digging up root crops;
  • planting seeds of grain and vegetable crops in the ground;
  • mowing vegetation and shrubs;
  • landscape works;
  • snow removal work;
  • cargo transportation.

The module is also used in housing and communal services.

Motoblocks can be used with attachments, these are:

  • plow NP-1;
  • rotary tiller - 20.00.000;
  • diggers;
  • harrow-cultivator;
  • potato planters;
  • lugs;
  • frontal mowers KN-1, KN-1.5, KN-02;
  • 2-row hiller STV;
  • snow blower SMB-2;
  • trolley-trailer PTM-500.

Each mechanism performs its own operation. A potato digger for a motoblock Agros digs up root crops. The harrow cuts off the top layers of the earth without turnover of the soil. A trolley with a load of not more than 400 kg is a single-axle, dump trailer with a body that tilts 30 ° back and is used for transporting crops, inventory, and household items.

The design features of Agros are that it has a universal hitch, with which it is allowed to attach additional equipment from other manufacturers and home-made hinged mechanisms.

Front adapter

The front adapter is a special module attached to the walk-behind tractor and consisting of the following parts:

  • driver's seat;
  • frame for installation of structural parts;
  • wheel axle or axle with 2 wheels;
  • hitch for mounting a walk-behind tractor and adapters for attachments;
  • steering wheel.

Such a machine is similar in functionality to a mini tractor, in which the driver occupies a comfortable position and skillfully controls the mechanism. The front adapter is easily assembled with a walk-behind tractor and aggregated with any attachments.

The manufacturer does not produce a device for the Agro walk-behind tractor, but the universal hitch allows you to install adapters from other manufacturers. Some owners of motorcycles make an adapter for a walk-behind tractor with their own hands.

Rotary mower

The KM-0.5 rotary mower was designed for the Agro machine. It consists of 2 self-sharpening knives located on the bottom surface. The height of the knives is 0.5-10 cm. The mower mows grass vegetation and small shrubs.

Breakdowns and repairs

The Agro unit differs from other heavy-duty models in its long service life and reliable operation.

The operation of the walk-behind tractor is affected by operating conditions, competent running after the purchase of the factory unit, timely maintenance and care.

If the unit is under warranty, all repairs must be carried out by the module manufacturer. The owner has no right to open the seals and repair it. If the malfunctions of the walk-behind tractor are minor, then you can independently adjust its operation.

Possible breakdowns and damages are presented in the Agros walk-behind tractor repair manual and have a general view. Among them are the following:

  • starting problems and engine malfunctions;
  • running gear does not work;
  • malfunctions in the gearbox (gearbox);
  • clutch failures;
  • the lubrication and cooling system is broken.

If the engine does not start, the causes and remedies are as follows:

  1. There is no fuel in the fuel tank. Fill the tank with fuel.
  2. The hole in the gas tank cap is clogged. Open the tank cap, clean the hole and reinstall.
  3. Fuel is leaking from the carburetor. It is necessary to adjust the carburetor of the walk-behind tractor.
  4. Clogged fuel system. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank, flush with gasoline and blow through the carburetor jets, inspect the spark plug.
  5. Filter clogged. Replace or clean the filter.

If the engine is running with noise, knocking or jerking, it is necessary to adjust the valves on the Agro walk-behind tractor using special probes.

If the idle speed is unstable, the clearance of the gearbox cover may be too large, therefore it is necessary to adjust the clearance to 0.2-0.5 mm.

A drop in the power of the walk-behind tractor is possible in such cases:

  • clogging of the carburetor, gas hose, air filter;
  • crankcase cuff failure;
  • soot in the combustion chamber.

Elimination methods consist of inspecting, cleaning all parts, blowing the hose.

If the starter of the Agro walk-behind tractor fails or the fuse blows, the best way out is to replace unusable parts.

Reducer circuit malfunctions are manifested as a result of its jamming. The clutch can be damaged if the chain snaps, so it needs to be replaced.

In the gearbox, the following failures and breakdowns are possible:

  • the kinematics inside the gearbox is broken;
  • spontaneous gear shifting or their complete absence;
  • oil leak on the shift shaft.

Repair of the box is best done in special workshops. The gearbox is a complex unit, you can’t do without knowledge in mechanics.

Ignition system

In the “why is there no spark” problem, the causes of failure lie in the details, such as:

  • candle;
  • magneto;
  • cap;
  • high voltage wire.

If there is no spark or the spark is weak, it is necessary to adjust the intermediate gap and check the condition of the electrodes. The clearance rate is 0.8 mm.

With changes in the gap between the intake and exhaust valves on the engine, they are clamped or relaxed to an acceptable value.

A low compression ratio has been detected in the cylinder. All worn parts are removed and replaced.

Cleaning the muffler will also help get rid of the spark problem.

Engine replacement

If the engine for the Agro walk-behind tractor breaks down and needs to be replaced, use an adapter kit. Instead of a native motor, imported ones with a cylindrical shaft with a diameter of 25 mm are well suited:

  • Weima - with a capacity of 13 liters. With.;
  • Subaru EX 27 - 9 l. With.;
  • Honda 9 - 13 HP With.;
  • Lifan 9 - 13 l. With.

Engine replacement is as follows:

  • remove the motor from the cultivator and dismantle the clutch mechanism;
  • remove the leading cup under the conical shaft, change it to a machined one under the cylindrical one;
  • a motoblock clutch is put on an imported engine and connected to a transmission.

Spare parts

Parts can wear out with continued use of the machine. Most often, replacement of parts of the clutch mechanism and bearings is required. There are no problems with the choice of parts for Agro. They can be purchased both from official dealers of the company, and in free sale.

Motoblocks Agro are produced in Ufa at the Ufa Motor-Building Production Association. This enterprise is a prominent representative of aircraft engine manufacturers in Russia.

For the first time, the development of the Agro walk-behind tractor was started in 1996, and by 1998 it had already been put into mass production. Further, it found wide application in farmlands and garden plots.

A feature of Agro motoblocks is that engines are not purchased from abroad, but are produced directly at the factory. Thanks to this, the price of the device can be significantly reduced. At the same time, the build quality remains at a high level.

Initially, the production of motoblocks of the Agro series was carried out at the Ufa Engine Plant. The model came out under the Agros brand, but was soon renamed.

The UMZ-341 engine is installed on Agro motoblocks. This is a single-cylinder four-stroke device with a power of 8 hp. It successfully competes with imported models. It simply has no analogues among Russian manufacturers.

Recently, Lifan engines have been especially popular. They are an identical copy of the famous HONDA GX-220 model. At the same time, the price of the Lifan motor is much lower, which allows you to leave the price at the same level.

Oil and fuel

A distinctive feature of the UMZ-341 engine is unpretentiousness to fuel. You can use AI-80, AI-92 or AI-95. But Lifan only works with 92 and 95 brands. The main thing is to fill in clean gasoline without foreign impurities. Since in this case there is a high probability that the fuel system will become clogged.

An important nuance is the fact that the fuel intake valve is located at a height of 1.5 cm from the bottom of the tank. And the fuel that is below does not enter the carburetor. This was done on purpose to prevent mechanical impurities from entering the fuel pump, since the Agro walk-behind tractor is operated with soil and there is a possibility of soil getting into the tank. Therefore, before starting work, it is necessary to fill in at least half a tank of gasoline.

In the operating instructions for the k45r carburetor, it is recommended to use M-5z / 10G1 oil in winter, and M-6z / 12G1 in summer. If you do not want to think about what time of the year to use oil, then you can buy a universal one from the 10W-30 or 15W-30 series.

It is necessary to change the oil every 100 hours of operation of the Agro walk-behind tractor. The crankcase volume is designed for 1.2 liters.

To lubricate the transmission, you can use the usual Soviet Nigrol or any other equivalent with a classification of 80W-90. The volume of the transmission tank is 2.5 liters.

The control levers are also not whimsical to maintain. For their processing, you can use the classic Litol-24 or Solid oil fat.

Running in

Particular attention must be paid precisely to the beginning of operation, since the durability of the operation of the Agro walk-behind tractor will depend on the correct start.

Before the first start, be sure to fill in not only gasoline, but also oil!

Since they are sold from the factory without these fluids. And if you forget to pour oil into the crankcase of the Agro walk-behind tractor, then strong friction will occur on the parts, and you can break the mechanism even before the start of full-fledged work.

Before the active start of operation, it is necessary to run in the Agro walk-behind tractor. It implies the use of half the maximum power. Driving with an empty trailer is considered the ideal break-in option, since the load on the engine is, but small. If there is no trailer, then you can start doing field work at half capacity. If your plow is designed to immerse 18 cm into the ground, then when running in, you should not immerse more than 9 cm.

The running-in of the Agro walk-behind tractor is done so that the parts get used to each other and securely enter the grooves.

Motoblock Agro at work:

Motoblock Agro is a technique, and no matter how reliable it is, sooner or later something can fail and you need to know how to repair it.

Major breakdowns

The main cause of breakdowns in Agro walk-behind tractors is the wear of parts or their incorrect setting. This issue is especially relevant at the beginning of the robot after a winter downtime. Therefore, before starting operation, it is necessary to fully inspect the entire system of the walk-behind tractor, eliminate possible problems and configure all parts of the device.

During operation, the following breakdowns most often occur:

  • Faulty spark plug;
  • The oil in the nodes has run out;
  • The gasket on the cylinder head is worn out;
  • Fuel system clogged with debris;
  • The gear chain has failed.

Let's take a closer look at each part, possible breakdowns and ways to solve the problem.

Strong heating of transmission units

The main reason for this failure is the wear of friction bearings, lack of oil in the transmission, and poor quality of the lubricant. To repair these problems, you should: change the bearings, replace the gear oil or add it.

Fishing while working

The main problem here is the condition of the wheels: different tire pressures or tread wear has occurred. There may also be improper adjustment of attachments.

For repair, it is necessary to check the tire pressure or make the correct adjustment of the hitch.

Big vibration of the motoblock Agro

This behavior of the walk-behind tractor is typical when attachments are incorrectly connected or bolted connections are loosened. In this case, it is strictly forbidden to carry out work. Stop the engine and tighten the bolts.

Engine starting problems

Before proceeding with the repair of the Agro walk-behind tractor, it is necessary to determine the problem. There can be two of them in the engine: the engine does not work at all, or it works, but intermittently.

Solutions:

  • Before starting, visually inspect everything is in order, if oil is leaking anywhere, if there are any damaged parts. Then check the tightness of all bolted connections, tighten if necessary;
  • After a winter downtime, the following engine problems are possible:
    • Contact oxidation has occurred;
    • They forgot to drain gasoline and oil, and over the winter a large amount of water accumulated in it;
    • Garbage has accumulated in the jets of the k45r carburetor;
    • Wire insulation broken.
  • Do not use expired or poor quality oil. Can cause great damage to the engine;
  • The fuel must be free of foreign impurities and of high quality, otherwise the fuel system will become clogged;
  • If the device is at an angle, then you should put it on a flat surface;
  • Check the entire system for supplying gasoline to the carburetor;
  • Check the condition of the spark plugs.

Motoblock and engine device

The walk-behind tractor is a single-axle chassis with two wheels. It is equipped with a 4-stroke Lifan or UMZ-341 engine, a power transmission and a transfer bar for control. The control mechanism is connected to the engine.

Directly behind the engine are: transmission, clutch, gearbox, forced-lock differential and power take-off.

How the engine is replaced with Lifan:

Wheels are connected to the final drive shaft. They are equipped with pneumatic tires with a pressure of 0.8-0.12 kgf/cm 2 .

For aggregation of the hitch, a bracket with a width of 72 mm is used with special holes for the latch and kingpin.

The steering stem is attached to the transmission, where the main control levers are located.

It is important to study the operating instructions for the Agro walk-behind tractor in order to know the diagram, detailing and be able to make repairs on your own.

Carburetor

The carburetor is responsible for preparing the fuel mixture. And if his work is incorrect, the result is immediately visible. It is recommended to tune the carburetor before starting agricultural work.

To adjust the carburetor, follow these steps:

  • unscrew the screws that regulate the minimum and maximum gas as much as possible, and then tighten back about two turns;
  • The engine is put on warm-up for 10 minutes;
  • It is necessary to set the lever that controls the operation of the motor to the minimum position. The operation of the engine should not stop;
  • Set the minimum idle speed using the throttle. The engine should work clearly, without extraneous noise and wheezing.
  • We adjust the position of the screws to create an accurate fuel mixture (when tightening, a large amount of gasoline enters, when loosened, it decreases)

Basically, malfunctions in the carburetor are solved by setting it up. If this does not help, then you need to remove it from the motor. Then carefully disassemble and wipe with a soft cloth dampened with gasoline to remove carbon deposits. After that, dry the k45r carburetor for the Agro walk-behind tractor and only then assemble it in the reverse order.

If during disassembly you notice a chip on the carburetor, then you can not repair it. It is recommended to replace the device with a new one.

Reducer and gearbox

Here are the main malfunctions that occur on the part of the gearbox and gearbox:

Oil is leaking

This behavior is typical when the seals on the bearings are worn or incorrectly installed, the gaskets under them are damaged, the cover is not tightened, the air valve is clogged, or there is an excess amount of lubricant in the tanks.

Depending on the cause, you need to perform certain actions:

  1. Adjust or replace oil seals;
  2. Replace gaskets;
  3. Tighten connections;
  4. Clean breather;
  5. Drain excess oil.

Difficulty shifting gears

This behavior of the Agro walk-behind tractor is manifested by many owners of this equipment. Here are the main causes and ways to fix them:

  • Due to the wear of the parts that take part in gear shifting. Most often, the wear of the ends on the gears occurs. The consequence of this is involuntary disengagement of gears or difficulty in locking. With such a breakdown, the gearbox should be disassembled and the ends of the teeth should be ground. In those situations where this is not possible, a complete replacement of the gears will be required.
  • Shaft splines worn or misaligned. This failure occurs due to wear of friction bearings or circlips. In order to adjust the correct position of the Agro walk-behind tractor shaft, additional retaining rings should be used. If the bearings are worn out, they should be replaced with new ones.
  • Incorrect clutch adjustment can lead to difficult shifting. That is, you cannot lock the clutch lever in its final position. Most often this happens with the inexperience of the owner, who releases the lever during the shift too early. The solution is to adjust the clutch and change the position of the lever correctly.

The checkpoint is a complex nodal connection. If you do not understand the principle of the gearbox, then you should not repair the Agro walk-behind tractor yourself. In this case, it is better to contact specialists.

Clutch and transmission

The transmission is a system that serves to transmit torque from the engine to the shaft.

In the Agro motoblock, the transmission consists of the following parts: clutch, gearbox, final drive and differential.

Clutch design

The most common repair of the transmission of the Agro walk-behind tractor is to adjust the clutch.

In cases where the clutch "leads", that is, when the lever is squeezed to the end, the device tries to move forward, then the adjusting screw should be unscrewed.

If the clutch slips (when the lever is released, the Agro walk-behind tractor remains in place or produces a small number of revolutions), then the adjustment screw must be tightened to the end.

After finishing the adjustment work, the screw should be locked in order to maintain its position.

However, often the adjustment does not help and you have to disassemble the clutch for repairs.

Clutch disassembly occurs in the following sequence:

  1. Drain the used oil from the housing. After disconnect the engine and the flange from the transmission;
  2. Using a wire hook, disconnect the spring from the pressure plate, then remove it;
  3. Remove the clutch fungus and all discs;
  4. Using a screwdriver, remove the lock washer;
  5. Fix the position of the drum so that it does not rotate, and unscrew the nut from the drum. An important factor is that the thread in this device is left-handed. Keep this in mind when disassembling;
  6. Disconnect the drum.

Assembly should be carried out in reverse order.

This video demonstrates how to remove the clutch from the crankshaft:

Belts

Motoblock Agro as standard is a belt device. That is, the transfer of torque occurs in this way.

If the belt is too tight, it will break during operation. If it is weakened, then the engine will not produce the necessary speed, but they will not reach the PTO. Therefore, you should periodically inspect and check its tension.

chain drive

Recently, belts have not been very popular, because they are not very reliable in operation, and often break under increased loads. The Agro walk-behind tractor itself weighs 160 kg, and if you add attachments to this mass, as well as the resistance of the earth when working with a plow. That turns out to be a very large load.

Therefore, some owners replace standard belts with chains. However, this also entails the replacement of tension rollers. After all, standard couplings are not designed to rotate chains. Therefore, special stars are installed in their place. The result is much stronger and more reliable than a belt.

Ignition, spark plugs and starter

The ignition system is designed to supply a spark to the engine and bring it into action and turn it off when work is completed.

And here is how the electric ignition is installed on the Agro walk-behind tractor:

In the basic configuration, the Agro walk-behind tractor has a manual starter, which is driven by a cable. However, when operating in winter, problems arise with starting the engine. Therefore, the owners change the conventional starter to an electric one.

It is considered more reliable. In this case, it will be necessary to consider additional space on the Agro walk-behind tractor for the battery, since the electric starter is powered by it.

Most often, the problem with starting the engine lies in the candles. They are designed to spark. Candles must be securely fixed in the grooves, have an appropriate gap (0.6-0.7 mm) and power caps must be firmly connected to them. It is not allowed to work with candles on which there is a large amount of carbon deposits, since the spark does not flow. They must be periodically cleaned or replaced with new ones.

6 Preparing the walk-behind tractor for work

6.1 General requirements

The manufacturer sends the walk-behind tractor to the consumer complete.

A set of spare parts and tools, operating manuals for the walk-behind tractor and engine are attached to each walk-behind tractor.

Before starting a new walk-behind tractor, perform the following work:
- carefully inspect the walk-behind tractor, check its completeness, tightening of threaded connections;
- set the gearbox and PTO levers to the neutral and disengaged positions, respectively.
- check the oil level in the crankcase of the engine, transmission, top up if necessary;
- Fill the fuel tank with fuel. The fuel must be clean, without mechanical impurities and water;
- perform all shift maintenance operations (ETO).

6.2 Preparing the engine for starting and starting the engine

Preparation of the engine for launch and engine start are carried out in accordance with the UMZ-341 engine operation manual.

6.3 Starting off and moving the walk-behind tractor

To set the walk-behind tractor in motion, do the following:
1 Move the engine to low speed.
2 Squeeze out the clutch lever to failure and engage the desired gear. If the gear does not immediately engage, slightly release the clutch lever, and then squeeze it again and select the desired gear.

You can start moving in I, II, III and IV gears under load and without it.

To do this, by turning the throttle control lever, increase the engine speed while slowly releasing the clutch lever.

The walk-behind tractor moves slowly.

When starting off on the reverse (re-equipment of the walk-behind tractor for operation on the reverse, see clause 6. 7.) turn on the gears in the following sequence:

Squeeze out the clutch lever

Move the mode switch lever forward along the walk-behind tractor.

Then (with the clutch disengaged) engage 1st or 2nd gear.

Perform further actions in accordance with clause 2 of this section.

Notes

1 Do not abruptly release the clutch lever, make great efforts when shifting gears.

2 Use the clutch lever when starting off, when shifting gears, stopping and braking.

3 Do not change the speed of movement due to slipping of the clutch, as this leads to rapid wear of the clutch parts. To change from a higher to a lower gear, reduce the speed - "throttle off". When the speed of the walk-behind tractor decreases, disengage the clutch. Then turn on a lower gear, smoothly release the clutch lever and at the same time increase the engine speed - "add gas".

6.4 Stopping the walk-behind tractor

6.4.1 Reduce engine speed.

6.4.2 Press the clutch lever.

6.4.3 Place the gearbox shift lever in the neutral position.

6.5 Stopping the engine

Pull the emergency stop cord to stop the engine.

If it is necessary to stop the engine in an emergency, after starting, close the throttle valve of the carburetor.

6.6 Run-in walk-behind tractor

A new walk-behind tractor must be run-in for 40 hours before starting operation. In the process of running-in, the parts of the walk-behind tractor are run in, which contributes to an increase in the service life of all assembly units. Run-in is recommended to be carried out under partial load or light transport work.

ATTENTION: It is forbidden to run the walk-behind tractor with the gear lever in the neutral position, i.e. without wheel rotation, because this can lead to jamming of the gearbox gears due to a violation of the lubrication regime.

6.7 Re-equipment of the walk-behind tractor for reverse operation

Work on a walk-behind tractor with mounted implements of an active drive is carried out with the steering rod reversed. In this case, to re-equip the walk-behind tractor, you must perform the following operations:

1 Set gearshift lever 1 (fig. 3) to 4th gear. Set the operating mode switching lever 2 (Fig. 3) to any position.

2 Release the rods 2 and 3 (Fig. 5) by removing the fastening pins of the adapter with the earring.

3 Loosen the handlebar collet by unscrewing the steering stem fixing bolt.

4 Rotate the control rod from the main position I (Fig. 5) by 180° to position II clockwise and fix it with the bolt.

5 Loosen the bolts securing levers 4 and 5 (Fig. 5). remove lever 5 and install it by turning two teeth (corresponds to 60°) towards the PTO. remove lever 4 and install it by turning three teeth (corresponds to 90°) towards the PTO and fasten the levers with bolts.

6 Connect the rods 2 and 3 (Fig. 5) with the levers 4 and 5 and fix them with spring clips 1. In this case, it is allowed to make minor adjustments in the threaded connection of the adapter with the earring.

7 When turning to the original position, perform the operations in reverse order. Adjust rods 2 and 3 to the previous position.

7 How to work with agricultural implements

7.1 Preparing the walk-behind tractor for work

Depending on the type of work performed and the agricultural implements aggregated with the walk-behind tractor, set the tire pressure, as well as the working or transport gears of the gearbox.

7.2 Attaching agricultural implements

When installing agricultural implements, you must:
a) install the walk-behind tractor on a flat area;
b) using kingpin 7, attach the hitch with the tool to the bracket of the tow hitch of the walk-behind tractor;
c) install the hitch perpendicular to the axis of the motoblock wheels, unscrew the bolts 5 to the stop and screw them in 3.5...4 turns, then lock them.

Install the mower on the walk-behind tractor only if there is a protective cover for the knives.

Mount the mower connecting unit in the bore of the PTO housing 18 and lock it with the pin 20 (Fig. 8).

ATTENTION: Fix the king pin on the hitch bracket with a lock! failure to comply with this requirement leads to breakage of the trailer bracket of the walk-behind tractor.

7.3 Working with mounted agricultural implements

7.3.1 Working with the plow

Adjustment of the depth of tillage is carried out by handle 1 (Fig. 13). Turning the handle clockwise increases the tillage depth, counterclockwise decreases it.

Bolts 9 (Fig. 13) and holes in bar 6 are designed to adjust the width of the plow.

When plowing, after laying the first furrow, by turning the hitch in the grooves, adjust the working width and fix the position of the plow leg with bolts 9 (Fig. 13). When turning the plow clockwise, the working width decreases, and counterclockwise, it increases.

If bolts 2 fail to achieve the required width of the plow, loosen the bolt 3 (Fig. 15) and move the rack along the bar 1 to the right - to increase the width of the plow, to the left - to reduce it. In addition, by moving the rack 2 along the bar 1, the spontaneous pull of the walk-behind tractor to the side, which may occur when plowing, is eliminated.

7.3.1 Working with the mower

When working with the mower, to facilitate the control of the walk-behind tractor, it is recommended to mount a ballast weight on the mower casing, which is supplied upon additional request.

The mower should be turned on at minimum engine speed and the clutch disengaged. Connecting the mower to the walk-behind tractor, disconnecting, mounting, dismantling, repairing, adjusting and lubricating it, as well as cleaning the cutting unit, should be carried out with the walk-behind tractor engine off.

7.3.1 Working with a soil cutter

The soil cutter is designed for pre-sowing tillage, mixing of fertilizers, as well as for inter-row tillage.

Attach the cutter to the walk-behind tractor in accordance with the passport 20.00.000PS, attached to the product.

ATTENTION: It is not allowed to mill unploughed or previously uncultivated, compacted soils.

When working with a cutter, it is forbidden to deepen the blades by more than 80mm in order to avoid overloading the engine and transmission. Reducing the load on the engine and transmission by slipping the clutch is not allowed.

7.3.1 Working with the snow thrower

The operation and maintenance of the snow blower, as well as the safety requirements for operation and maintenance, must be carried out in accordance with the operation manual 42T.116.00.00.000RE, attached to the product.

7.4 Working with the cart

When working with the trolley, check the following before leaving (Fig. 14):

a) check the technical condition of the trolley (reliability of wheel fastening, serviceability of brakes, pressure in the tires of the wheels);

b) attach the drawbar 6 (Fig. 14) of the bogie to the trailing bracket 18 (Fig. 8) using the king pin 7 (Fig. 13). Fix the pin securely with a latch.

Engage differential lock only to overcome obstacles when slipping of one of the wheels increases.

7.4 General requirements for working with agricultural implements

When plowing heavy soil with a plow, it is recommended to attach ballast weights to the wheels to improve traction.

Make a U-turn with reduced engine speed and disengaged differential lock.

It is FORBIDDEN to change the speed of the walk-behind tractor when turning due to slipping of the clutch. This leads to rapid wear of the friction lining of the clutch, premature failure of the clutch.

During operation, it is necessary to constantly monitor the condition of the fasteners, the correct adjustment of agricultural implements, and timely troubleshoot.
