Hyundai Santa Fe Prime: restyled version of the crossover. Hyundai Santa Fe third generation Watch the road

Called in Europe “Santa Fe Sport” (and here in Russia “just Santa Fe”), the five-seater crossover is the next generation of one of the most popular cars in its class. The Koreans managed to combine a high level of safety, comfort and advanced workmanship with modern filling, allowing this crossover to easily compete with more expensive Europeans.

In general, the Koreans are only improving every time, and so it happened in 2012 - with the advent of the third generation of a mid-size crossover.

The appearance of the "third" Hyundai Santa Fe is quite modern and attractive. The exterior is executed in a bold style that can attract the attention of a wide audience of potential buyers. Let's highlight the elongated silhouette of the body, crowned with "strict" headlights, peering intently into the roadway. You can also note the abundance of eye-catching stamps that decorate not only the hood, but also the sides of the car. By 2015 (shortly before the “large-scale restyling”) for the Santa Fe, the shade of the chrome grille was slightly changed.

In terms of dimensions, the third-generation car has not changed much: the length is 4690 mm, the height is 1675 mm, the width is 1880 mm, the wheelbase is 2700 mm, and the ground clearance is 185 mm. Trunk volume is 585 liters, and with the rear seat folded down increases to 1680 liters. By the way, at Santa Fe in early 2015, a “smart” electric trunk drive was added to the list of equipment (it is enough for a car owner to have a car key with him - stand behind the car, wait 3 seconds - the trunk lid will open automatically).

The interior of the Hyundai Santa Fe crossover in the 3rd generation has stepped forward noticeably and is now persistently stepping on the heels of European giants. Korean engineers took into account all the mistakes of the past and created a truly cozy car with a high level of comfort. The front seats are equipped with lateral support, and the rear seats fold down comfortably, increasing the luggage compartment.

The quality of the finishing materials and its execution are at their best: no “crooked” seams, clearly creaking panels and other “joys” are found in the cabin. The front panel has a bold, bold layout with an original design that immediately attracts increased attention. The only thing you can find fault with is the steering wheel, which is made too thin. In addition, the on-board computer display control buttons located in its lower part are not very convenient due to their location.

If we talk about technical characteristics, then in Russia the 3rd generation Hyundai Santa Fe five-seater crossover is offered with two power plant options.

  • The developers chose an improved Theta II gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.4 liters (2359 cm³) capable of developing 175 hp as the main one. (129 kW) at 6000 rpm. The engine is equipped with a new distributed fuel injection system with variable nozzle geometry and complies with Euro-4 environmental standards. The maximum torque of this motor is 227 Nm at 3750 rpm. The available engine power is quite enough to reach the top speed ceiling of 190 km / h, while the novelty will spend about 11.4 seconds in the case of a 6-speed “mechanics” and 11.6 seconds with a 6-speed one to accelerate to the first hundred on the speedometer. "automatic". The average fuel consumption in mixed mode is about 8.9 liters of gasoline, in city traffic 11.7 / 12.3 liters (manual transmission / automatic transmission), and on the highway - 7.3 and 6.9 liters, respectively.
  • The second engine is the R 2.2 VGT diesel unit. This unit has a working volume of 2.2 liters (2199 cm³) and develops 197 hp. (145 kW) power at 3800 rpm. The engine is equipped with a third generation common rail injection system, an electronic turbocharger, an EGR cooler and piezo injectors with an operating pressure of up to 1800 bar. The peak torque of the diesel unit is at around 436 Nm at 1800-2500 rpm, which allows the crossover to accelerate to the same maximum 190 km/h, spending only 9.8 seconds to raise the arrow from 0 to 100 km/h. The diesel unit is equipped with only an automatic transmission, and its average fuel consumption is about 6.6 liters in mixed driving mode, 5.3 liters on the highway and 8.8 liters in city traffic.

The suspension of the third generation "Santa Fe" has changed significantly in the settings, which was dictated by a change in the clearance and center of gravity of the car. As a result, on a flat road, the novelty has become easier to manage, confidently keep its course, easily take turns at speed and provide peace and comfort to passengers. But when sensitive bumps, pits or ground cover appear, noticeable shaking, increased noise in the cabin, and a decrease in vehicle stability begin to be felt. But, by the way, this is typical of almost all crossovers of this class. In general, the suspension of the “third Santa Fe” is still independent, MacPherson struts are used in front, and a multi-link system in the back. The brake system is front-ventilated disc brakes with wear sensors and separate drums on the rear wheels for an electronically controlled parking brake. The steering is supplemented by electric power with three switchable operating modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport.

It is worth mentioning the security settings. During tests according to Euro NCAP standards, the third generation of this crossover was awarded five stars. In particular, we note that the level of safety for an adult passenger is at around 96%, and the level of pedestrian protection in case of collision is 71%. Moreover, in January of this year, the same Euro NCAP association awarded the new Hyundai Santa Fe crossover with the title of “safest car” in its class.

Options and prices. In Russia, the car of 2014-2015 is presented in a wide range of modifications:

  • In the initial “Comfort” configuration, this car is equipped with a 2.4-liter engine with a 6-speed “mechanics” and all-wheel drive, and from the “assistant systems” there are ABS and EBD and a VSM stabilization system, assistance systems when starting on a descent / ascent (DBC / HAC), emergency brake assist, immobilizer, heated front seats, adjustable steering column, full power accessories, dual-zone climate control, trip computer, cruise control, rain sensor, heated wiper rest zone, CD/MP3 audio system with six speakers and USB support, fog lights, LED position lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a full-size spare tire and reclining rear seats. The cost of the “Comfort” configuration of the 3rd generation Hyundai Santa Fe is 1,674,000 rubles, and the same “Comfort” but with an “automatic box” will cost 1,734,000 rubles.
  • The “Dynamic” package additionally offers modern xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, an audio system with an LCD display, leather elements in the interior trim and other additions. The price of such a "Santa Fe" is 1,870,000 rubles.
  • The cost of the “top-end” petrol configuration “Sport” (electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, “keyless”, 18″ wheels) in 2015 is 1,994,000 rubles.
  • Modifications with a "diesel" under the hood are a little less. The starting equipment of the diesel Hyundai Santa Fe "Comfort" will cost the buyer at a price of 1,874,000 rubles. In the “Dynamic” configuration, its cost rises to the mark of 2,010,000 rubles. Well, the most prestigious “High-tech” equipment, which is distinguished by the presence of an adaptive lighting system, tire pressure sensors, electrically adjustable passenger seat, driver’s seat with settings memory, panoramic sunroof, automatic parking system, Navitel navigation and 19-inch molding, will cost to a Russian buyer at a price of 2,065,000 rubles.

Here is a crossover model with an elegant and bold appearance. Hyundai Santa Fe 3rd generation started production in 2012. He received an improved design of external and internal elements, security systems, as well as even more space in the cabin. There are versions with 5 or 7 seats.

A powerful petrol or diesel engine of 2.2 or 2.4 liters in combination with a manual or automatic transmission can accelerate this car to a speed of 190 km / h. Silence lovers will love the excellent sound insulation. Even when driving on dirt roads at high speed, no extraneous loud sounds appear in the cabin. A high level of comfort and NCAP 5-star safety makes travel comfortable and relaxing.

Hyundai Santa Fe III review:

Santa Fe 3 is a very comfortable crossover that boasts average cross-country performance in this class. Electronic stabilization, stability, emergency braking and brake force distribution systems make driving safe and enjoyable.

The electric power steering and its effort is adjusted by a button on the steering wheel and has 3 positions for different driving styles. In sports settings, the steering wheel becomes heavier at high speed and begins to respond even more clearly to hand movements. Shifting gears in the configuration with an automatic transmission is smooth, but there is a slight delay, which does not cause any inconvenience.

Off-road this car behaves quite confidently. When driving on snow, sand and mud of light and medium terrain, the suspension takes on the main bumps and potholes, and the powerful engine creates enough torque to overcome road obstacles in the form of ruts, bumps, ups and downs.

The rear axle is connected by a multi-plate clutch, its blocking will help in some cases to get out of difficult places. The gas pedal at the very beginning of the course reacts without much enthusiasm, but already with a slight acceleration, good acceleration begins to be felt.

Salon The updated Hyundai Santa Fe is spacious and made of better materials than in the previous model. There are inserts made of genuine and artificial leather. It will be comfortable for rear passengers to ride thanks to adjustable separate seats (forward-backward), tilt adjustment of the backrests, as well as the presence of air ducts in the side pillars of the car.

If in many cars the rear passengers have to freeze and feel uncomfortable, then here they will be able to direct the air flow in the right direction on their own. They'll also like heated seats, activated by buttons in the doors. And in the center armrest there are retractable cupholders. The only thing missing is a TV.

The location of the ignition switch, which is located under the steering wheel, may seem a little inconvenient. Because of this, you have to constantly look for it with your hands. This inconvenience is treated by developing dexterity or choosing a configuration with an engine start button that you don’t have to look for (Sport or High-tech). These trim levels have all the necessary security and comfort systems, and the High-tech trim level has a car parking mode and a panoramic roof with an electric sliding sunroof.

Used Hyundai Santa Fe models can be easily found on classifieds sites and bought from hand. Prices for used cars, depending on the year of manufacture, are presented in the diagram:

As you can see, old used models can be bought from hands from 300 thousand rubles, then every year about 50 thousand are added to the price of a car. Given the reliability of the Hyundai brand, in principle, you can buy cars under the age of 5 years without much risk if they were watched by their owners. Older models can be bought, but with the risk of unexpected repairs. Most often, investments are required in the repair of the suspension, sometimes engine systems, depending on how hard they were exploited and whether maintenance was carried out on time.

Video review of the car Hyundai Santa Fe III:

A good video test drive of the all-wheel drive diesel Hyundai Santa Fe III 2.2 l from the Avtovesti Barnaul channel:

Another video review and test drive of the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe in the Autopanorama program:

After 10 years, my Outlander began to age and at home we began to think about what to transfer.

Chose 2 months. Alternative options were X-trail, Qashqai, Sportage, Prado, Outlander model 2007-2012, Touareg and Tiguan.

I liked the new X-trail with a facelift, liked its 20cm clearance and low fuel consumption. I didn’t like the CVT (I planned to take the car for trips through the sands and mountains with 45 degree elevations), I didn’t really like the interior and the price. Seeing how the car bent and how far the pole went into the cabin during a side crash test, I realized that it was not mine.

Strengths:

  • Beautiful
  • Comfortable
  • Moderate fuel consumption (I eat an average of 12 liters)
  • Big car for only $31,000
  • The car has withstood crash tests very well.

Weak sides:

  • Tires
  • trunk seal
  • Dumb AKP
  • I would like a more powerful motor for this configuration

Review Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi 4WD (Hyundai Santa Fe) 2012

Review Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 4WD (Hyundai Santa Fe) 2012

Once upon a time, I had a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. I traveled on it for 8 months and sold it. The car never made me upset and go to the workshop, as well as rejoice in the fact of owning this car. It did not cause any emotions at all, the same sensations appear when you see a seemingly pretty girl, but not your taste. All is well, but hmm … would not :) After the sale, I said to myself that this was probably the first and last Hyundai in my life.

Then, as you can read, there were several cars, including the SAAB 9-3. My love! Before buying this car, I drove a Toyota RAV-4 2007. Very high quality and reliable car. Small, nimble, passable. It's time to change, and I began to look around.

I want to note that now the action takes place in Russia :)

Strengths:

  • Quality
  • Design

Review of Hyundai Santa Fe (Hyundai Santa Fe) 2008

Hi all.

I will briefly describe the “happiness” of owning this device ... .. I chose for a long time, monitored the Internet for a subject - all-wheel drive, roomy, gasoline, automatic transmission, year of issue from 2008., price up to 650t.r. There are not enough options, but they were, this R. Koleos, F. Escape (2008-2009), J. Santa and EVERYTHING!

1). Koleos-cons: variator, I don’t like the torpedo in it (reminds me of the WALLY robot from the cartoon), the interior (on the back) is small. There are much more pluses, but I don’t write about them!

Review Hyundai Santa Fe new l / f 2010 (Hyundai Santa Fe) 2010 Part 2

So the time has come to pass TO-1 (15 t.km). Phoned the officials found that the spread in prices from 12 to 16.5 thousand rubles. I chose with a lower cost, i.e. 12 tr, knowing that apart from oil and consumables, they will not do anything. And the problems were:

  1. Engine oil consumption was 1.5 liters - a bit too much for a new car. Naturally, the service did not reveal any reasons, which I did not doubt, although when I received the car they said that the consumption was too big, but it's okay, as long as the car is under warranty. I'll see what happens next.
  2. With a large suspension travel, a creak appeared on the right in the rear suspension, they also did not find anything criminal, they have the same principle: a good creak (knock) will come out, then come.

The final price of TO-1 was 11,700 rubles. (did not change the cabin filter).

For six months of operation, the car has never failed, only brought positive emotions. I traveled far to the Orenburg region. (1300km one way) in mid-January 2011. The road was different: both ice, and dry, and in some places covered with snow, and besides, the Moscow-Chelyabinsk highway was heavily overloaded with trucks in both directions, so we had to overtake very often, thanks to good dynamics (10 seconds to 100) it was, but of course with road correction. It was warm and comfortable in the car all the way, the windows did not sweat (t was from -3 to -18). By the end of the 17 hour journey, of course, I was tired, but neither my back nor my butt hurt. The consumption was 7.5 liters per 100 km, and the average consumption in the region was 10 liters per 100 km, and even the prime minister worked - the solarium began to get cheaper. A trifle, but nice.

In this snowy winter, all-wheel drive was more than ever useful. Never had a problem driving on snowy, unpaved country roads.

Review Hyundai Santa Fe new l / f 2010 (Hyundai Santa Fe) 2010

Four years exploited Sportyagu diesel, there are reviews about it), but it's time to change it, I wanted something a little larger, with a large trunk, with a modern diesel engine and costing 1,500,000 rubles + -200,000. And the height should be no more than 176cm, since the height of the garage door is 180cm. I protested all the cars in the showrooms, I really liked the diesel 3l Tuareg, I hoped that there would be some kind of sale in connection with the start of production of the new Tuareg, but it began to cost more than 2 lemons in June, of course it was deleted from the list of contenders.

After much torment (I didn’t find a single review on the Internet about this model, that’s why I decided to write this review, maybe it will help someone decide on the choice of a car) the choice fell on Hyundai new l / f 2010 for the following reasons:

  1. Arranged dimensions
  2. New 2.2l diesel engine with 197 hp, should reach hundreds in 10 seconds
  3. New 6 st.automatic
  4. Clearance 200mm
  5. Price - 1432000. Of course, a lot, but with such TTD and dimensions, other brands of cars did not have
  6. In ******** for my Sportage 2006, they offered the most money - 625,000 rubles.
  7. The car was promised within 2 weeks, and it happened
  8. Spacious interior, rear seats fold almost flush with the boot floor in one motion

At the end of July, the manager called and said that the car can be picked up. At 9, I arrived at the car dealership, the registration process took 2.5 hours, including the registration of the sportswear for trade-in. I arrived in an old, or rather a used car, and left in a new one. At 14.00 I arrived at the traffic police in Balashikha, it was Saturday, to find out how much, but in two hours I registered the car, passed MOT, insured OSAGO and at 17.00 I was already with numbers. Many thanks to the employees of the Balashikha traffic police for good operational work (there are miracles, the day before in Yelnya I deregistered Sportyagu from 8.00 to 18.00).

On August 1, active exploitation of Santa began. Today, the mileage is 4200 km, first impressions: what I wanted, I got it, namely all 8 points, according to which the choice fell on Santa. The interior of the car suits 90%, the interior is made of beige leather, the design of the torpedo is slightly outdated, it is extremely unfortunate (at the bottom left behind the wheel, and there is no duplicate information on the instruments) weak lateral support. Radio with mp3 and USB. The driver's nurse with 8 electric adjustments, I managed to set it up for myself quickly, the nurses are harsh, but comfortable for me. On long trips (more than 8 hours), the body did not get tired. The cabin is quiet at a speed of 180 km / h, only tires are heard, but within the limits of what is permitted. Climate control works efficiently, in the current heat, 30% of power is enough. The suspension for me is a bit harsh on asphalt, but comfortable on rough terrain, although the short-stroke suspension spoils the impression, there are often breakdowns.

Strengths:

  • Big car for a reasonable price
  • Economical and dynamic engine, good performance 6 speed automatic transmission
  • Good light: dipped - xenon, far - halogen

Weak sides:

  • Small punctures in the ergonomics of the cabin

Review Hyundai Santa Fe (Hyundai Santa Fe) 2001

Today, two friends decided to buy Santa Fe in the old body, for a long time they tortured me what and how. As a result, I decided to write a short review about Santa 2.7, 2001, mileage at the time of purchase in early 2006, 45,700 at the time of sale in 2007, 100 tkm with a tail, maybe someone will help in choosing. As often happens to me, Santa Fe was bought spontaneously, Grand Cherokee generally went to watch.

The 2019 Santa Fe features an aerodynamic profile with a stretched waistline and muscular wheel arches. Thanks to the increased wheelbase, the rear and front overhangs are shorter, making the car more practical.

Also in the updated exterior of the model, it is worth noting such elements as:

  • Head optics. The front of the Hyundai Santa Fe is decorated with two-tier xenon headlights with washers and auto-correctors.
  • Radiator grille. The fourth-generation SUV received a new signature cascading grille with chrome trim.
  • Rear optics. The three-dimensional taillights of the combined type have LED content.
  • tailgate. The slatted tailgate is more upright, which adds more space in the trunk.
  • Wheel disks. The spectacular image of Hyundai Santa Fe is completed by 17, 18 or 19 ”(depending on the configuration) alloy wheels with an original design.

Interior

Hyundai Santa Fe New 2019 model year received a new interior with leather trim, an expanded range of innovative functional equipment, as well as improved visibility obtained through increased glass area.

The following interior elements provide an impeccable level of comfort for the driver and passengers:

  • Ergonomic front seats. The heated front seats are electrically adjustable and have an integrated position memory system. The driver's seat is adjustable in 12 directions.
  • Dashboard. The digital informative instrument panel displays all the information the driver needs: navigation data, fuel consumption, outside air temperature, and more. The color of the instrument panel illumination changes depending on the selected driving mode - Comfort, Smart, Eco or Sport.

Hyundai Santa Fe III Owner Reviews

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2012

The choice fell on the Hyundai Santa Fe III 2012 model year, we decided to take the basic package, always white (well, I like the white color and that's it). I called all the car dealerships, one of them said that such a car would be in a week, that suited me perfectly. A week passed, and my wife and I left the salon on a new car. The dealer offered mats, crankcase protection, it seemed to me a little expensive, and I refused. "Begged" interior floor mats as a gift. In the market they promised to bring crankcase protection for 2400 rubles in 2 weeks. I was very pleased with the already tinted rear windows, good sound insulation, the door to the bottom, my feet don’t get dirty on the thresholds, the fit is comfortable (my height is 176 cm), comfortable second-row seats (adjustable for tilt and “seats” go back and forth), it works very well stove, informative rear-view mirrors, a bunch of drawers under the trunk floor. I can’t write much about the driving characteristics of the Hyundai Santa Fe III yet, as I decided not to drive the car up to 1000 km. Fuel consumption from 13.5 to 15.5 liters in the city, I hope it will decrease in a couple of thousand km. From the "special stages", I bought and already installed a standard head touch multimedia (Chinese), a TV antenna on the glass, a rear-view camera and parking sensors (they could not be installed, everything is perfectly visible in the camera).

Advantages : design. Comfort inside. Engine. Suspension. Noise isolation.

Flaws : price.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2012

I saw in the press the new Hyundai Santa Fe III generation. Subtracted everything that is possible and on arrival at the salon conducted a test drive. One petrol version is presented for the test. The look in white is great. Salon and thoughtful door seals are beyond praise. Clearance and distance to thresholds sufficient. Sometimes I don’t understand how 185 mm may not be enough, when the Moskvich 2140 had 173, the Japanese had even less, but in their youth they climbed where I don’t go on the “hundred” (L.C.) now. In addition, the measurement actually showed 195-200 mm on an equipped car. The distance from the edge of the wheel to the edge of the wing suggests that it is realistic to put the "rubber" 10-20 mm higher. Although the dealer immediately warned against this seditious thought with a loss of warranty. The engine in the cabin does not “mumble”, the suspension behaves with dignity in terms of extraneous sounds, but this is a new car, and it is too early to judge this. Acceleration to “hundreds” was 11.6 s., And this was on an unrun-in engine (I was not driving, but I confess - my idea), there were 3 people in the car, two 100 each and one 65. The test car gets. Computer consumption 16.8 at the beginning of the test and one tenth less at the end. But here I make allowances for long idling and illogical driving (brake, gas) of many "drivers". In reality, I think it will be less, and the running will make itself felt.

The information content of the displays, both instrumental and multimedia, is rather poor. The display of information could be five points more (travel time, external and internal thermometer readings, etc.) maybe this is, but I apparently did not get to the bottom. Regular GPS on Hyundai Santa Fe III - did not like it. It is problematic with updating and information content, so that "my" Navitel is still better. The trunk is thoughtful and sufficient. Between the lower edge of the rear seat and the edge of the trunk there is another niche - a kind of safe. Although the trunk curtain could be implemented as in the Mazda CX-5 - rising along with the trunk lid.

Advantages : thoughtful interior. Ergonomics. Spaciousness. Comfort.

Flaws : the information content of the devices is simple. Regular GPS.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2013

What can I say, at first glance and a test for a 175-horsepower unit, Hyundai Santa Fe III is quite dynamic. In the city, you can not strain to drive 80 and 120, on the highway it is advisable to keep it on the “tiptronic” in the operating range of 3500-5500, then it has enough dynamics for both overtaking and getting ahead. After the maneuver, you turn on "D" and again peace and quiet in the cabin. At a speed of 180 km / h, the tachometer is 4300 rpm, and in the cabin you can calmly talk and listen to music - the roar of the engine is not annoying and road noise is almost inaudible. On the suspension in the city on small bumps you feel discomfort, and on the highway Hyundai Santa Fe III turns into just a big liner, easily controlled and keeping the rut, as if it does not exist at all. The strut stabilizer travel is very large, so it is very difficult to break through the suspension, even when all 4 wheels are off the road (believe me, I have already experienced it). The Hyundai Santa Fe III stability control system works for all 10 points out of 10 possible, I have not yet experienced smarter “brains” of the car.

According to the ergonomics of the arrangement of instruments in the cabin, a solid "4" out of "5". As for the cross-country ability of the Hyundai Santa Fe III, I can say the following, which is a little worse than my previous Hyundai ix35 transshipment car on the “mechanics”. However, half a meter of snow with loose soil for the Hyundai Santa Fe III is not a hindrance. The only thing that annoys me is the periodic creaking of the front panel (torpedoes), but I think this happened after the “officials” installed the parking sensors and the “signaling” for me. One gets the feeling that they forgot to fasten something, but in general, the car from the Hyundai concern turned out to be excellent and it is quite worthy of the name “Premium Crossover”.

Advantages : appearance. Salon. Driving qualities.

Flaws : fuel consumption.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2015

Good afternoon, I decided to insert my couple of lines about the Hyundai Santa Fe III. After the birth of the child, it was decided to transfer to a SUV with a more spacious trunk for transporting children's accessories, with tears in his eyes he sold his F10 2.0 diesel with only 9000 mileage. , and I didn’t really like the harsh runflat, but I also didn’t want to change tires and buy a spare tire for a new car. Then I drove in, tested the new Tiguan, it generally sucks, another deception of the buyer, they made up their lips and that's it. Rigid, shock absorbers break through even with a weak passage of speed bumps, the box is old from Multivan, roars, but stubbornly does not go. I was already upset, but on the way home I drove into Hyundai, where the new Hyundai Santa Fe III diesel came to the test and I was the first to drive it, the dynamics were very impressive and the box worked at the level, I compared it with the sold F10, then the manager said that they were selling his test drive car with mileage 3500, after negotiations, he was bought in the maximum configuration. So, I’ve been riding for the seventh month now, I’m satisfied with the dynamics and consumption, nothing broke, the guarantee is 4 years. That's it.

Advantages : appearance. Dynamics. Controllability. Spaciousness.

Flaws : soundproofing arches.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2016

The car is just a fairy tale. I enjoy every centimeter passed. Whether it's yard pits, country roads or a flat track, it's a pleasure in any case. You can safely drive 4 hours in a row. The comfort of the seat allows. And when the legs still begin to numb, I just slightly change the inclination of the seat with a button. Not hard on the go. This was the deciding factor for my purchase. She seems to be quite flexible. Small fraction, small irregularities, large gravel - passes gently, unlike so many others. Diesel is very playful. I really love how it accelerates. I like that I can safely transport 3-meter sheets of “lining”, for example. An old blanket on the torpedo and forward, even the seats can not be laid out, I just recline the central section of the back of the sofa. There are a bunch of niches and drawers. Another thing that pleased me was that when driving through diagonal bumps, the body does not bend, there is no characteristic creaking of the seals, as it was even on the Tuareg test. Four-wheel drive on the Hyundai Santa Fe III pleased me in the winter, when the whole city got stuck, I calmly rode, it wasn’t even interesting, it never skidded anywhere, and it didn’t stall. Yes, by the way, the suspension is somehow tuned so that, with sufficient softness, it does not allow to roll and go into a skid on cruel turns. That is, you can simply drown into the floor at a 90-degree turn. I really like how diesel rushing at idle up a steep hill. I remembered what I did not like - leather seats. They bask in our latitudes strongly, and the fifth point sweats. I have a model without seat ventilation, albeit with perforation. So they are good, but I put good gray covers. In terms of consumption: when I drove the Hyundai Santa Fe III from Moscow to the Crimea, it showed an average consumption of 8.5 per 1000 km. In the city, I drive exclusively in the yards and in traffic jams, with trips all weekend to fly through the forest-mountains, which also means 10-kilometer traffic jams at the entrance and exit of the city. Average consumption 10.4. Radio catches unusually well, I say this as a driver with 19 years of experience. The sound is excellent.

Advantages : a lot of pluses.

Flaws : the engine start button is not visible from behind the steering wheel.

Hyundai Santa Fe III, 2014

Hyundai Santa Fe III purchased in black - this is my first and last car in this color, the dust settles instantly and the appearance of the car in the dust is provided after 3-5 km. For a comfortable ride and not to break the suspension, I lowered the tires: up to 2 atmospheres in front, 1.8 atmospheres in the back - the effect is excellent. Our roads are very bad, in the spring there was a knock in the front suspension, on the passenger side when driving slowly on rough roads, the knock looks like a ball or thrust bearing one of these days I plan to call in for MOT. Fuel consumption up to 7000 thousand kilometers (city, traffic jams, warming up plus winter) - about 14-15 liters. Now in May consumption has dropped to 11 liters. The on-board PC (understates) - lies, by about 2 liters. The other day, the oil level dropped below zero, as evidenced by the yellow lamp in the dashboard. Taking out the dipstick, I saw black oil on it interspersed with black debris, as sulfur is written everywhere. Oil in the car from the factory. I will urgently go to change, in the future I plan to reduce the oil change interval to 8000 km. Diesel car. And the operation of the engine is clearly audible in the car. If you are ready to ride with the sound of a tractor, then this is your choice - for me this is not a problem. B - 24 degrees starts without problems. The car drives pretty well and holds the road well. The speed is felt differently, it seems that you are driving 80, and on the speedometer 100. I checked it on the navigator, on the navigator - 5 km / h relative to the speedometer. Overview, the right front pillar interferes a little when making a sharp turn to the right. The dimensions of the car in front and behind are badly felt without cameras. Noise isolation of the floor and arches is apparently absent, in our Kalina in 2007 it is in no way inferior. Gas pedal - there is a feedback delay. I read that it is eliminated with the help of a new brain firmware.

Advantages : good road holding at all speeds. Good brakes. Picks up speed well.

Flaws : rigid suspension. Regular tires Nexen N8000 (very noisy). Failure of the gas pedal. Poor soundproofing wheel arches. Windshield wiper - no permanent intermittent operation. The rain sensor has a life of its own. The dimensions of the car in front and behind are badly felt.
