The only thing that can help is a warm garage or heating before starting.

There are Webasto heaters, but they cost as much as my kidney 10 years ago (still young and relatively fresh). There is another solution. Or self-made heating in the form of a “sealed kettle”, or purchase an alternative to the expensive Webasto - Alliance engine heating (not advertising, I just got caught first, I bought it. That is, I don’t know how it works reliably and for how long - I don’t know yet).

But it's not so simple here. We'll have to "farm" a little.

So, this crap crashes into the engine cooling system. It only works like a kettle, that is, it heats up the antifreeze in cold weather, and it, in turn, heats the engine head, which ensures a more gentle start-up in the cold season.

Personally, I'm not special in this (connection to the system). Kolkhozil is my spine. He crafted everything. Here is this detail (tee), for example.

We fixed the heating pad itself on a regular Alliance, but “modified” bracket. I removed the compressor kondeya, there was a lot of space freed up. They stuck it in there.

In parallel with the installation of the “heater”, the antifreeze was also replaced. They poured about 10 liters of fresh green. All failed to merge. We look at the photo.

3. Antifreeze Starex G12. Modern carboxylate antifreeze produced by carboxylic acid technology. Starex red antifreeze is based on high-quality ethylene glycol. There are no substances such as nitrites, nitrates, amines, phosphates, borates, silicates and glycerin. This helps keep the inside of the cooling system clean, better protecting it from corrosion and wear, scaling and harmful deposits. It is recommended to fill it in any cars and trucks. The fluid complies with the G12 standard. Color - red, fluorescent. The recommended replacement interval is 3-5 years.

Important! In case of urgent need, these liquids can be mixed with analogues - carboxylate with carboxylate, traditional with traditional, antifreeze with antifreeze. However, it is better not to do this unless absolutely necessary. The fact is that even with the same production technology, different manufacturers use different additives that may be incompatible.

The color of the refrigerant is red, fluorescent. Corresponds to the international classification G12, as it does not contain unnecessary compounds in its composition:

• nitrates,
• borates,
• silicates,
• glycerin.

The absence of these elements allows you to maintain the engine cooling system from the inside, in proper clean condition, protecting all areas from rust, premature wear, and unwanted precipitation.

Many drivers are interested in the question, is it possible to mix coolers from different manufacturers? The manufacturer allows the mixing of refrigerants, however, it is recommended to observe the types of consumables, for example, carboxylate can only be mixed with carboxylate, standard antifreeze with the same.

But don't overuse it. The fact is that different manufacturers, despite the similarity of the scheme for the production of cooling mixtures, use different sets of additives. Therefore, additives may be incompatible with each other.

How to distinguish a fake Starex

Fake antifreeze is immediately different, just visually examine the packaging. The canister must be closed and made of high-quality plastic.

Checking the tightness of the container with the coolant is simple, for this you need to slightly squeeze it with your fingers on the sides and turn it upside down.
