2 weak spots. Weaknesses of the Nissan Qashqai

23.09.2019

Good day! Glad to see you again on the blog pages. You must have read, and today I will continue to write reviews of the Ford Focus 2. Here I will describe the advantages and disadvantages of the model, as well as talk about weaknesses and what to look for when buying. Go…

Let me remind you that we are now talking about a car that I had for a little over 6 years, during which time it ran 90,000 km. You don't have much to say, but it's enough to draw certain conclusions. So, Focus 2 is a restyled sedan, released in December 2009, model year 2010, respectively, Titanium equipment + Sony music + winter package, 2.0 engine with automatic transmission.

I read articles on the Internet about poor noise isolation of tricks, immediately after the purchase I undertook to fix it. I glued it with vibroplast, and on top of it with a splen motor shield on the engine side and plastic fender liner, that is, I got a double Shumka. It has become a little quieter, although now I would definitely not do it. Moreover, the acoustic comfort on cars with 1.8 and 2.0 engines is much higher than 1.4 and 1.6. Here is the first advantage of a two-liter car.

At first I wanted to change the rims and tires to 225 / 45R17, but I felt sorry for the money. As I understood later, I did it right, since Michelin tires with a dimension of 195 / 65R15 make Ford very comfortable when driving on bad roads, of which, by the way, we have the majority.

Advantages (pros)

There was even a case, at a low speed, a KamAZ flew into my rear bumper, yes, yes, it was him. The blow fell right into the corner of the bumper and a dent formed, but the paintwork was not damaged. A dent with a depth of 5 and a diameter of 12 - 15 centimeters. The traffic police were called, the accident was processed as expected, and I planned a trip to the insurance company for the next week. And what do you think, in a day, either when driving through bumps, or by itself, the bumper took on its original shape.

Disadvantages (cons)

As they say, where without them. Moreover, there are no perfect cars.

Weaknesses and what to look out for

This concludes the second part of my review. Meet me at

From the very first appearance to the present day, the "focus" has undoubtedly become one of the most popular cars in Russia. Most buyers liked it at an affordable price combined with good quality and good performance.

This car can easily claim to be the main car for the average family. Oddly enough, the model has become interesting not only to young motorists, but also to experienced drivers who expect to get a comfortable and obedient car to drive and, most importantly, an economical car.

Possible problems and malfunctions of electrical equipment

The electrical equipment of the Ford focus is one of the weak points of the car.

Main faults:

A failure in the power window control unit, as a result of which the glass either does not go down or is inactive, is usually treated by removing the fuse for 10-20 minutes.

Broken trunk lid contact. as a result of which the trunk will have to be opened from the passenger compartment. to avoid this, constantly monitor the condition of the wiring.

Failure of license plate lighting. The reason is simple - leakage of the ceiling, treated with sealant or additional seal.

Burnout of lamps in the headlights of the dipped and main beam. A design feature of the model, in the service center, there were cases of complaints about the simultaneous burnout of 5 lamps on a new car, unfortunately it is treated only by replacing the lamps.

Engine and fuel system

Ford Focus engines are considered very capricious and require increased attention. The main problem here is floating speed, this problem is especially common on engines with a volume of 1.6 liters, the manufacturer advises to carefully choose fuel and clean the throttle every 30 thousand km. Due to the fact that the service interval is 20 thousand km. we strongly recommend that owners check the condition and level of working fluids, and replace filter elements in a timely manner.

Noise isolation

Like most cars in the middle price segment, the Ford Focus also has poor vibration and noise insulation, after a run of 40-50 thousand km. crickets appear, and from various places, such as seat belt anchors and glove box lids. It is treated only by installing additional sound insulation.

Chassis and suspension

The most complex structure in this car is considered to be the suspension, not every service station will be able to carry out qualified repairs and maintenance. Here, special attention should be paid to the shock absorber struts. The average service life on this model is only 40-50 thousand km, when replacing, we recommend immediately changing it with a support bearing, since the latter is not famous for its reliability.

wheel bearings at the focus are clearly not adapted to Russian roads, their short resource will remind the driver with an exhausting buzz about the necessary replacement.

Due to the complex design of the car's suspension, repair prices in many non-specialized services are very high and comparable to servicing premium luxury cars.

Renault Logan 2 phase (after 2008) is a car that needs no introduction. In it, if not at the wheel, then in the passenger seat, probably every second resident of the city was sitting. And it would seem that everything in this machine is known. But only until it comes to buying it in the secondary market. And here the questions begin, when it breaks, what breaks, how much it will cost. Now you will know the answers to these questions.

We will talk about Renault Logan 2013 release with a mileage of 70 thousand kilometers. The seller wants 310 thousand rubles for the car. As for the purchase of a new car, the second generation of the model with a 1.6 liter engine is on sale. The car has become prettier, more comfortable and functional inside.

General impression

It is difficult to talk about general impressions, because. everyone has their own. In short, Renault Logan 2 phases have average visibility, very small side mirrors, uncomfortable seats and a weak, “strangled” engine. An obvious plus is the suspension, which forgives virtually any road adversity.

There is no feeling of any comfort, compared with classmates. The operation of the gearbox and engine, landing, finishing materials, etc. - all this is at a very average level. Although, I must say, the car has no crickets. Among the same classmates with passing mileage is a rarity.

Owners of Logans of the 1st generation are trying to justify many of the shortcomings and disadvantages by the low price of ownership, they say, "show indulgence, this is a budget car." Yes, there is truth in this. But there are fundamental things that cannot be forgiven. The first is design. Yet some of the competitors interior looks much nicer. The second is the location of the buttons. They seem to be made not for people, and it is difficult to get used to them.

But let's turn to the technical side of the issue and find out the weaknesses of the Renault Logan 2 phase.

Engine

For all the years of work, service center specialists most often note such major engine sores as a leak in the front crankshaft oil seal, the problem begins to appear at a range of 40 to 100 thousand kilometers, and failure of the ignition coil. It does not withstand temperature extremes, cracks over time, and the engine starts to triple.

In problems with starting the engine, the fuel filter is also to blame. Well, or, as many write on the Internet, its absence. Moreover, he was in the first phase of Logan. Only the owners complained about its unfortunate location and the French during restyling integrated it into the fuel pump. The decision is controversial, because. from now on, the part is changed only in the assembly. You need to carefully monitor the timing belt.

Box

According to the same service center specialists, the most common sore found on the second Logan is oil leakage from the oil seal of the left drive of a mechanical transmission. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the gearbox. Or almost none. On the Internet, only the lazy did not write about the reverse gear, which switches with a characteristic crunch. It's all about the lack of synchronization. To avoid it, you need to squeeze the clutch, wait 2 seconds and “stick” the gear. Then the torque from the engine will have time to synchronize with the torque on the gearbox.

Suspension

During operation, such a problem arises as the failure of ball bearings and silent blocks of the front levers. These are the main points that mechanics face. And there is practically nothing to add. Suspension Renault Logan 2 phase - indeed, a strong point! And, even if something breaks, the availability and prices of spare parts offset the unpleasant effect. True, there is one sore subject - uneven wear of the brake pads. But it depends more on the driving style, the origin of the spare parts and who installed them and with what hands.

Electrician

The most common sore is a broken horn. Due to poor soldering during operation, the contact departs. It is treated by replacing the steering column switch.

household sores

There are more than a dozen angry reviews on the Internet for household sores of Renault Logan Phase 2. For example, about incomprehensibly falling out foglights. Yes, it happens that they crack, but more often in winter, when you park in a snowdrift in a “hot” car. And the often mentioned problem with breaking off the headlight mount is hardly possible without physical impact.

Logan also has other weaknesses. The most common are cracking of the paintwork of the gutters of the rear fenders and the roof (this is a factory defect), and the formation of chips on the rear fenders (appear during off-road driving).

There are many cons. But there is also a pleasant moment. Most Renault Logan sores can be repaired in a garage. The car is simple, and, apart from some work that requires special tools, it is serviced elementarily.

If we talk about love or dislike for Renault Logan Phase 2, then the story is twofold. It's all about the people who buy it. They can be safely divided into 2 contingents: the first are those who did not have enough money for something else, and they took Logan out of hopelessness, and the second - who, on the contrary, approached the choice of a car as rationally as possible and counted every ruble.

Yes, the car has many flaws. But they all overlap with the very “indestructibility” that everyone is talking about. The only thing that you need to see before buying is who was the previous owner of the car. Of course, if it was a taxi company, then the car must be checked especially carefully.

Focus II - a car manufactured by Ford. These cars are no longer produced and can only be bought second-hand. The demand for these cars is, as a rule, only among young guys who have recently graduated from a driving school. Many call Focus " credit sickness" or " office plankton machine”, due to the fact that low-income citizens often buy them on credit.

The 2nd generation of Focus was produced from 2004-2012. The suspension design, which was truly amazing and reliable, is taken from the first generation. In 2008, restyled cars with an updated design went on sale. There is nothing left of the first generation (the only exception is the engine and roof).

Safety

The second generation Focus is one of the safest cars. Indeed, according to Euro NCAR, it has five out of five stars for the safety of a passenger (35) and a child (40), but pedestrian safety is much less, and is only two stars out of five.

Advantages and benefits of the Ford Focus 2

  1. Several body styles: four-door sedan, three-door and five-door hatchback;
  2. Salon: ergonomic, different colors, depending on the configuration, good acoustic sound, roomy, informative and readable instrument panel, decent quality of the air conditioner, leather or fabric seat upholstery, comfortable lumbar and lateral seat support;
  3. Luggage compartment: the volume of the sedan is 466 liters of luggage, the hatchback is 281 liters, if the seatbacks are folded down, the seats located will increase to 930 and 1145 liters, respectively, the loading height is low, the openings are wide;
  4. A large range of power plants: 5 gasoline engines and one turbocharged diesel;
  5. Low fuel consumption for a car equipped with a 1.4 engine - in the combined cycle is 6.6 liters per 100 km;
  6. Electronic injection, upgraded ignition system, good dynamics in a two-liter engine;
  7. Power plants comply with the standard not lower than Euro-4;
  8. Reliable steering;
  9. Long service life of automatic and manual transmission;
  10. Hodovka is hardy and comfortable;
  11. Good indicator of controllability;

Weaknesses Ford Focus 2

  • Body;
  • Salon;
  • Electronics;
  • Engine;
  • Transmission;
  • Suspension.

The first thing to look at when buying is the body. You should immediately understand that the car is quite old, and the fact that the factory paint has faded somewhere, and the body and doors may be rusty, the trim in the cabin will be worn out, and the thresholds and bumpers will have operational damage. But still, Ford has other disadvantages for the body, which you must be aware of and repair them immediately after purchase. Ford Focus 2 does not like Russian winters, it is because of this that the Focus has frequent breakdowns:

1) The problem with locks. The most important thing is with a larva for opening the hood (a Ford Focus feature of both 1st and 2nd generations is opening the hood with a key), the lock turns sour. There are two ways to fix all this: anoint the lock cover (where the emblem is) with penetrating grease or change the lock from plastic to metal, which will work well from the Ford Mondeo.

2) Sometimes there are “jambs” with incorrect operation of the central lock, which is responsible not only for the lock of the door itself, but also for the gas tank hatch.

3) The problems of chrome coating, which is designed to make the car more beautiful, but after several winters, rust begins to appear in the place between metal and chrome, which no longer makes the car beautiful.

4) If you have a hatchback or sedan car, then you should regularly check the license plate lights, because. these body types have problems with the wires of this node, which is corroded due to moisture.

5) Malfunctions with windshield washers, which consists in the fact that the windshield washer hoses fly out of their fasteners and flood the engine.

In general, Ford's interior is not bad. The quality of the fabric lining is excellent, it remarkably withstands the dry cleaning process and is wear-resistant, but after a few years of operation, the interior begins to creak noticeably.

The most expensive piece of electronics that often fails is heated seats, for which you will have to pay no small amount of money. Often there are problems with the stove, the motor of which can fail. Also, by about 50 thousand km., The resistor breaks, accompanied by a not strong, but unpleasant whistle. The heat sensor in the cabin also suffers, but only in versions with cruise control. Also, because of the Russian winters, the heating filaments of the side mirrors suffer. In restyled cars, it is quite difficult to change the bulbs in the headlights, since for this the headlight has to be taken out entirely.

Focus has four engine options: 1.4; 1.6; 1.8; 2.0 liters. Let's look at each separately:

1) 1.4 liter engines, by themselves, are strong and reliable (if they regularly change the oil and filters), but it is better to put the mechanics in the layout, because it definitely won’t go on the machine. But one problem arises from this - due to the fact that the engine always spins at high speeds (it will not go at low speeds, because it has little power), the engine resource is quickly depleted. Therefore, when purchasing a car from third or more hands, you should think carefully, because there is a risk of getting into a major overhaul of the motor;

2) 1.6 liters (100 hp) - this engine, like 1.4, is considered durable and reliable (also do not forget to change consumables). Its main advantage is the simplicity of design, so you can fix the engine yourself. But, today, the engine power is very small. And if you take it assembled with a machine gun, then you definitely won’t have enough dynamics.

1.6 liter (115 hp) - this model of the engine will be better than its predecessor of the 100-horsepower engine, and you can already drive with a gun, with almost the same gas mileage. It is distinguished only by the added variable valve timing system, both on the intake and exhaust shafts. This motor has a problem with the phase shifter clutch, which "ends" quickly, but on later and improved models, this problem happens less often.

3) Engines of 1.8 and 2.0 liters are almost identical in design and their problems are also similar. The resource of such motors is 350 thousand km. What needs to be changed? The most important thing is the timing chain (200 thousand km.), And the gasket between the head and the block (100 thousand km.), Otherwise, oil loss from the engine begins. You also need to often monitor the tightening of the bolts, otherwise they are unscrewed due to vibrations.

The gearbox of this car has three options, and each has its pros and cons, let's deal with each:

1) The IB5 manual gearbox is not very good, it has enough sores and they are not very pleasant. The most common is the departure of the second gear. All this is due to weak synchronizers. But due to the fact that the box will often work at full capacity, the axis of the satellites in the differential may burst, and all these actions in the future will lead to a hole in the crankcase, the repair of which will not be cheap. There are also problems with the input shaft bearing, if you hear a rumble from the box, then run to the service, because. this will not lead to good consequences, but only to difficult and expensive repairs.

2) The MTX75 manual transmission gives more love and hope because it lasts longer. Its disadvantages are oil seals and gear shift rod seals, but this is all easily done. It is also better to monitor the oil, it should not be at a minimum, otherwise the shafts and gear rims wear out quickly and become unusable. You also need to monitor the release bearing, which is very weak and wears out after 50 thousand km.

3) The 4F27E automatic transmission is very reliable, because it has been installed on cars since 1980, and all the jambs in it have long been fixed, which is why this automatic transmission is reliable like a tank. Only one thing spoils the picture - after 55 thousand km. it is advisable to change the valve body and also need to replace the pressure regulator solenoids.

As I said before, the Focus has a great suspension that came from the first generation. The suspension is reliable and rarely breaks, all this is due to the excellent tuning of the independent chassis, but still some elements fail and need to be replaced. The most basic, not long-lived elements:

  1. Rack support bearings. By 40-70 thousand km. They fall into disrepair and require replacement. The wheel bearing also requires attention, which comes only assembled with the hub.
  2. After 40 thousand, a soft knock may appear, which means that the stabilizer struts have become unusable.
  3. At 80-110 thousand kilometers, it will be necessary to change the bushings and with them: ball bearings, levers and silent blocks. After all this, you need to pay attention to shock absorbers.

After replacing these parts, your suspension will be as beautiful as the car that came off the assembly line.

In conclusion, about the shortcomings of the 2nd generation Ford Focus.

Our "office plankton machine" is not even bad. For a simple guy, she is quite suitable, even though she has some disadvantages, but if you follow these disadvantages, then everything will be in order. Of course, you won’t be able to buy a new car, but when buying “from hand”, you need to check all the listed weaknesses.

P.S.: Dear car owners, if you have noticed systematic breakdowns of any parts, assemblies of this model, please report it in the comments below.

- a mid-size crossover developed by the Korean company Hyundai. To date, the main players in the mid-size crossover segment are the Japanese and Europeans. But Korean manufacturers keep a little aloof, stating that this was originally intended. Their products, they say, are designed for customers who do not pursue frills in design and new technological solutions, but choose a car for its reliability and practicality. But how reliable, in fact, was the Hyundai Santa Fe 2, and whether it is worth buying this car in a used condition, now let's try to find out.

A bit of history:

The Hyundai Santa Fe was introduced to the public in early 2000 at the Detroit auto show. At the end of the same year, sales of this model started on the American market. The car was named after the capital of the US state of New Mexico. In Spanish, "Santa Fe" means "Holy Faith". Santa Fe was the first crossover produced by the Korean company Hyundai. The car shares a common platform with the Hyundai Sonata. For all the time, several facelifts have been carried out, during which the following have been changed: the radiator grille, front and rear optics, the design of bumpers and rims. Cars were assembled in three countries - South Korea, Russia and Turkey. Officially, the production of the first generation Santa Fe ended in 2006, despite this, this model continued to be produced at the Taganrog Automobile Plant under the name Hyundai Santa Fe Classic until 2012.

The debut of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2 took place in 2006 at the North American Auto Show. In April of the same year, serial assembly of the car began. Unlike its predecessor, the novelty has become noticeably larger and no longer had fanciful body lines and goggle-eyed headlights - the car had more familiar, as for crossovers, body shapes and more modern optics. Also, the changes affected the interior decoration - the front panel, instrument panel and steering wheel have changed. Like the previous model, Santa Fe 2 is built on a common platform with the Hyundai Sonata. In 2010, the model underwent restyling, during which the radiator grille, optics, and the design of alloy wheels were changed. Also, the changes affected the interior - a multifunction steering wheel, a wireless Bluetooth headset, wood trim, a touch screen navigation system with a rear backup camera, instruments received a new font and a different backlight color (blue).

The premiere of the third generation of the model took place at the New York Auto Show in 2012. The novelty is fundamentally different from its predecessors due to the use of a new corporate style "flowing lines", which give the car not only a fresh, but also, in a sporty, aggressive appearance. Also, many were pleasantly surprised by the new design and interior equipment. In 2015, the car underwent a restyling, after which the prefix "Grand" or "Premium" was added to the name.

Weaknesses Hyundai Santa Fe 2 with mileage

Traditionally for Korean cars, Hyundai Santa Fe 2 has a rather weak paintwork - it quickly becomes covered with scratches and chips, on some specimens there is swelling of paint around the windshield and on the roof. Despite this, the body iron is well protected from corrosion - in places where the paint is chipped, the metal does not rust for a long time. Of the common shortcomings in the body, rigid door seals can be noted, because of this, the doors close with effort. To fix the problem, adjustment of the lock bracket of a poorly closing door is required. Headlights are prone to fogging, most often this ailment manifests itself with temperature changes (in winter), in rainy weather and after washing. The windshield in severe frosts can burst in the area of \u200b\u200bheating the wipers, the reason is a sharp temperature drop.

Power units

The line of power units is represented by gasoline and diesel engines: gasoline - 2.4 (174 hp), V6 2.7 (189 hp); diesel CRDi - 2.2 (150 and 197 hp). Gasoline engines are quite reliable and do not often present unpleasant surprises to their owners. With proper maintenance, oil and filter changes every 10-12 thousand km, the engine life before overhaul is 350-400 thousand km. For a 2.7-liter engine, after 100,000 km of run, the ignition coils may begin to burn out. After 150,000 km, engine cooling radiator leaks appear, the problem is dangerous because it is very difficult to identify it at an early stage. The fact is that the expansion tank has a special design, in connection with this, a small amount of coolant always remains in it, even when there is practically no liquid in the system. If you do not fix the problem in time, there is a big risk of overheating the engine. The consequences of overheating can be deplorable - deformation of the engine head.

Closer to 200,000 km, replacement of catalysts is required. For a power unit with a volume of 2.4, in the cold season, when starting the engine, the bendix may not disengage from the flywheel. Temporarily, 2-3 forced engine stops help to fix the problem. Common problems that are common to all power units include: a small starter resource, leaks in the front crankshaft oil seal and engine pan.

Diesel engines are more capricious and can cause a lot of trouble to their owners. Most often, the culprit of the main engine ailments is the “bad” diesel fuel, as a rule, fuel injectors are the first to fail due to its fault. When using high-quality fuel, the nozzles can last about 150,000 km. Many owners of cars with a mileage of 150-200 thousand km blame the sudden knock from under the hood. The reason is that the injection pump clutch fails, and such symptoms may appear when the drive belt tensioner fails. If, in cold weather, a chirp begins to be heard from the engine compartment, first of all, you need to pay attention to the fuel pressure regulator.

Original glow plugs can last up to 100 thousand km. To replace candles, it is better to contact a specialized service, since, according to statistics, in almost 50% of cases, when trying to replace candles, they break off. To remove the remains of a broken candle, you will have to remove the engine block head. After 150,000 km, the glow plug relay fails. Another problematic place is the crankshaft pulley with a damper clutch, which can fail even on cars with low mileage, after 80-100 thousand km. With a run of more than 120,000 km, the rod of the vacuum regulator for the position of the blades in the turbine may begin to wedge. Symptoms - the boost pipe flies at the inlet to the intercooler. At the same time, the turbine is quite hardy and can last up to 200,000 km. After 180 thousand km, an oil leak appears on many copies, the reason is that it breaks through the cylinder head gasket.

Transmission

Hyundai Santa Fe 2 was equipped with two types of gearboxes - mechanics and automatic. Both transmissions are quite reliable, but not flawless. So, for example, in mechanics installed in tandem with a turbodiesel, often, after 80-100 km, a two-mass flywheel fails. Also, to the disadvantages of mechanics can be attributed leaks of the oil seals of the axle shafts. One of the most common problems with the machine is jolts (jerks) when shifting gears. The peculiarity of this disease is that it is almost impossible to eliminate it technically. The only thing that can temporarily improve the operation of the box is changing the oil in the automatic transmission. On some specimens, after 50-70 thousand kilometers, it was necessary to change the lever position switch. A typical problem that occurs on both gearboxes is premature wear of the right axle shaft bearing. (as a rule, the disease manifests itself on a run of 100-120 km). If the problem is not corrected in a timely manner, the wear of the spline connection of the inner and outer parts of the axle shaft will accelerate in the future.

More than 50% of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2 on the secondary market are equipped with plug-in all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive system is implemented using a multi-plate friction clutch, which is controlled by electronics. The coupling, in principle, is reliable, but is afraid of overheating ( frequent slippage should be avoided). One of the advantages of the clutch is that it is repairable, and if it fails, you will not have to pay more than $ 1,000 for a new one. As a rule, they ask for 100-200 USD for the restoration of the mufti. The main symptoms of a node malfunction will be kicks, jolts and bumps while driving with the wheels completely turned out. In the all-wheel drive system, the following most often fail: the rear gear cover ( starts leaking after 80,000 km), rear gear oil seal, propeller shaft outboard bearing ( serve 120-150 thousand km), flexible couplings of the cardan shaft ( replacement required after 150,000 km).

Driveability Hyundai Santa Fe 2 with mileage

Hyundai Santa Fe is equipped with an independent suspension: front - MacPherson strut, rear - "multi-link". The suspension is stiff, because of this, while driving on rough roads, the car shakes a little. In the front suspension, support bearings most often bother, they can creak after 40-60 thousand km. The shock absorbers began to leak after 30-50 thousand km, in 2010 the manufacturer finalized the part, thereby increasing the service life to 80-100 thousand km. On cars of the first years of production, wheel bearings are not famous for their reliability either, in most cases their resource is 50-70 thousand km (they change as an assembly with the hub). If, at the beginning of the movement, clicks are heard, the culprit, most often, is the hub nut. The nut needs to be replaced, as tightening fixes the problem for a while.

Front stabilizer struts go up to 50,000 km, rear - up to 70,000 km. The bushings serve 50-80 thousand km, in order to replace them, it is necessary to lower the subframe. In the 7-seater version, rear shock absorbers were installed with the ability to change stiffness, they are rented after 70-80 thousand km, but they cost several times more than usual ones, therefore, many owners changed them to ordinary shock absorbers paired with stiffer springs. The remaining suspension elements run more than 100,000 km: ball bearings - 100-120 thousand km, silent blocks - 120-150 thousand km, multi-link elements - up to 150,000 km.

In the steering equipment system, the weak point is the steering rack, in most cases, a knock in the rack appears closer to 100,000 km, but there have been cases when it needed repairs after 20-30 thousand km. As a rule, the rail fails due to wear of the right bushing, and leaking oil seals may also be the reason for early repair. The braking system as a whole is reliable, but, on some specimens, over time, the brake light on / off limit switch failed. In most cases, the problem was fixed under warranty. Many owners note the appearance of knocking in the rear calipers, in order to avoid problems, it is necessary to periodically lubricate the caliper guides.

Salon

The quality of finishing materials is not bad, despite this, there are still a couple of weak points here. Steering wheel - paint is quickly wiped off the leather trim. The problem is solved by re-painting or. Plastic - easily scratched and creaks in the cold season. There are also complaints about the reliability of the interior electrical equipment. The proprietary audio system received the most criticism - “glitches” appear ( the display turns off spontaneously, reboots, etc.). On a car with a mileage of more than 150,000 km, the air conditioning damper drive motor, which is responsible for the distribution of flows, often fails.

Outcome:

Hyundai Santa Fe 2 is a large and roomy car for ordinary people who do not need luxury and other "show-offs". Operating experience has shown that Santa Fe is a reliable and inexpensive car to maintain, which feels confident not only on the track, but also far beyond its borders. Like most cars, Santa Fe is not without minor flaws, but unlike many competitors, they do not require large investments to eliminate them.

Advantages:

  • Spaciousness.
  • Four-wheel drive.
  • Great ground clearance.

Flaws:

  • Weak paint finish.
  • A small resource of some suspension elements.
  • High fuel consumption of gasoline engines.

If you are the owner of this car model, please describe the problems that you had to face during the operation of the car. Perhaps it is your review that will help readers of our site when choosing a car.
