ATTENTION!

A double-tube shock absorber that has not been pumped before installation is a common cause of failure of the shock absorber piston system. If air remains in the inner sleeve of the shock absorber, the shock absorber cannot function properly. A malfunction leads to noise, knocking during operation of the shock absorber and its possible failure.

Before installing a two-tube shock absorber on a car, it must be brought into working condition. During transportation and storage, in double-tube shock absorbers, the working fluid can flow from the inner to the outer cylinder, while the back-up gas enters the inner cylinder. In this case, the shock absorber will make knocks when working in the car's suspension, and its throttle valves will be destroyed. To avoid damage to the shock absorber, it MUST be brought into working condition (pumped) before installation. It is also necessary to pump over the shock absorbers that were removed during the repair process and were not stored in the working position. For this:

1. Turn the shock absorber upside down (in an inverted position) and smoothly, without jerking, squeeze it;

2. Lock the shock absorber rod in this position for 2-3 seconds;

3. Holding the rod, turn the shock absorber upside down, fix the shock absorber in this position for 3-6 seconds;

4. After holding the shock absorber in a vertical position, the specified time and smoothly extend the rod to the end of the stroke;

5. Turn the shock absorber upside down, pause for 2-3 seconds. and repeat operations 1, 2, 3, 4 5-8 times;

6. Having finished pumping the shock absorber, following the sequence, stop at step 4;

7. Holding the shock absorber vertically, rod up, perform a control operation (sharp, but short movements of the rod make sure that the piston moves smoothly, without dips). A well-pumped shock absorber is a smooth piston movement without failures.

After pumping, the shock absorber should be in the working position, ROD VERTICALLY UP, until it is fully installed on the car.

Air cylinders BlackStone M "HD"(HD - heavy duty, translation - heavy duty, heavy duty) for high loads BlackStone 295.202.90 "M HD" with a side nipple at initial pressure has overall dimensions (202x88) mm.

Operating pressure from 0.3 to 1.5 atmospheres, depending on the size of the springs of a particular car. The easiest way to determine the maximum pressure visually on an empty and loaded car. After filling the empty space of the air bellow inside the spring, do not apply any more pressure to prevent partial release of the bellow between the coils and its further deformation. Service life is not limited. Temperature of use: from -50 to +80 degrees.

Pneumoballoons are made of a special rubber mixture, which is not rubbed from sand and stones. Wall thickness 6-10 mm, at the ends - 15 mm. Installed in springs in cases where the spring in the suspension is separate from the shock absorber.

Check that there are no protruding and sharp elements inside the spring that could damage the cylinder. Standard fenders should be removed when installing air springs.
- The minimum pressure in the cylinders is 0.3 atm. The pressure must not be allowed to fall below this value, otherwise the cylinder will be damaged.
- If possible, the height of the spring under load should not be less than the height of the cylinder, but in some cases (for example, an SUV lift) this is allowed. For advice, contact a specialist of our company.

What gives the installation of air springs in the springs:

Suspension breakdowns excluded
- the drawdown of the car is reduced to a minimum when fully loaded and even overloaded
- the drawdown of the "tired" spring is compensated due to the air pressure in the cylinder
- when connecting separate suspension circuits, the "windage" of the car is reduced, stability in turns and during sudden changes in lanes is increased
- increases the life of all suspension components
- Disappear or significantly reduce such unpleasant effects as noise in the rear suspension, bumps from bumps in the road, buildup of the car with a lot of pits and bumps
- the car becomes more balanced and comfortable compared to driving without cylinders. Some customers changed their minds about selling their cars after installing the pillows, as the ride comfort began to suit them completely.

Installation instructions:

  • Raise the car on a jack (lift, overpass)
    . Dismantle (if any) in the inner space of the springs the buffers of the suspension compression stroke (standard bumpers)
    . Clean the spring coils from dust and dirt.
    . Install bumpers in the technological holes of the suspension compression stroke buffers (standard bumpers), if necessary (typical for high springs), install additional bumpers on the opposite side
    Attention!!! In some cases, the installation of fenders is not required.
    . Release air from airbags
    . Insert the air bags into the springs between the coils
    . lower car
    . Check the location of the airbags. there must be no sharp metal parts that could damage the air spring.
    . Inflate air in air bags - from 0.3 atmospheres Maximum working pressure 1.5 atm. You can determine the maximum pressure for your car visually on a flyover or pit. The air spring must not protrude between the coils further than the coils of the spring.

More detailed instructions for installing air springs:. Air bellows must not be left without pressure.
