The car was bought new in 2007 by my parents, so at first (it's about 3 years old) I went in half with my mother, then gradually passed into my possession. I then had my own car 21099 - a beast of a car, it drove everywhere and didn’t break down much. Well, to be honest, after 99, the cue seemed just like a Mercedes, everything is new, beautiful, comfortable. I will write right away with what I will compare. There is enough engine for overtaking on the track (if the climate is not turned on), it took 20 horses for sure, so if it was turned on, you had to turn up to 6000 thousand. the speed for it is 120-150 and there is not much noise from the engine and you don’t need to catch it. Noise isolation on a car by 4, most of the noise comes from the engine after 3500 thousand rpm, but it’s not so noisy from the wheels, the noise on the Lancer is much worse, the noise from the wheels on it presses on the ears. They searched for 5 people for an hour, but they didn’t find it, they said when the crackling would be on the whole street, then come - I honestly went nuts from this, they understood in a proven service in 5 minutes. it was at the crankcase protection that the nut loosened up and did not attract the protection to the end, and from this it rubbed and there was a crunch. Bottom line: two nuts and 300 rubles. And the CV joint with a job of 16 thousand got up for me =))))))))))))))

For comparison, I’ll note that the interior of the Cherat is a little tighter than that of the Lacheti, but a little, the trunk too, the noise on the arches is worse (and there is no noise), all the sand that flies from under the wheels is heard, but it’s not scary, I want to install wheel arch liners, they say it will help. Salon of course many times prettier than Lacheti, looks like a luxury car. The dynamics are a beast, 143hp, the machine works perfectly, it doesn’t blunt a bit, if you want to overtake someone, you press it, immediately switch to a lower gear and go. By the way, the consumption on the highway in the speed range of 100-110 km. (At the same time, the tachometer needle at 110 - 2.5 thousand revolutions) in a quiet mode onboard showed 6.5 - absolutely truthful, I'm not lying. As for the city, with a quiet ride it gives out 10-10.3. As for the running gear, it is all native, except for the stabilizer bushings (mileage 61000), the holes go well, the only negative is the native front struts, a small knock on the right, at the service they said that they are in perfect order, they have such work of the struts, but they keep it that way , does not talk. Once I was driving from Voronezh at night. Desert highway M4, almost no one. The difference with the temperature outside is up to twelve degrees (I haven’t tried it again), for the sake of experiment, the measurements were carried out using a room thermometer, not connected in any way with the car.

With the onset of cool weather, the car was changed. Running diagnostics was combined with this event. As a result of which it was found that a set of front brake pads and a rather high degree of wear of the front brake discs are suitable for the final. The choice had to be made between Mitsubishi Lancer X, Nissan Tiida, Chevrolet Lacetti and, in fact, Kia Cerato. The final decision was influenced by a slightly lower price with a slightly richer list of options. Since he took the car in the winter, then the first winter impressions.

Positive - in the cabin: the stove heats up perfectly, the seat heating starts to warm up well after 3 minutes after being turned on, nothing freezes, the windows do not freeze, nothing creaks in the cabin, it starts up well (in winter from 2009 to 2010 it was up to -32 and there were no problems ), the speeds are switched easily (a little tighter in the cold, but not annoying). In winter, the presence of TCS allows you to move confidently.

Negative - in the cold season there is a knock in the suspension, apparently caused by the design of the racks. The stronger the frost, the louder the knock, at + temperatures it disappears. The first winter was unnerving, the second I got used to it. At the official service, they offered to change the racks (for free), but they did not give guarantees for eliminating the knock - I decided not to bother.

They shook hands and went on their way.When leaving the salon, I immediately realized that a car with ABS needed studded tires, otherwise I would drive like a kettle, I didn’t spare money, I bought a NOKIAN HP-5.

The first impressions - I was delighted: the dynamics are super, the brakes and the stability control system are a joy.After driving 1500 km, the cigarette lighter fuse burned out, but it was my own fault - I left my 3-year-old son in the cabin, and he smoked on the street, he studied the system there, pressing his finger and did not let go until I got into the car. They changed it quickly, though they ripped off 240 rubles for checking the electronics. By 2500 km, bugs appeared in the front of the panel (fortunately, I glued my domestic cars myself, I had experience), I bought a door seal for a VAZ 2110 and sealed it between the windshield and the panel - the bug died, but the seal is not visible, as if it should be so . In the summer, when the condo works to the maximum, 20-30 horses disappear somewhere, but as soon as the interior cools down and the condo works at 20-30%, the horses return to the engine herd. Part 1. Car selection.

The options under consideration for a budget of 500-550 tr for the fall of 2007 were as follows: Ford Focus, Mitsubishi Lancer, Honda Civic, Mazda 3 (sedan) and the newly appeared Nissan Tiida. Focus and Honda disappeared due to waiting lines, and what was offered in stock was much more expensive than the budget, Lancer was dropped due to the upcoming update, Mazda 3 because of the tightness in the back seat (I checked all the cars sitting down by myself, my height is 188 cm). Only the option of Nissan and Kia was seriously considered, and rationality won in this dispute, in principle, both options are not bad, but Nissan had a 1.6-liter engine and dynamics of 12 seconds to 100 km / h at a price of 555 tr, and Kia with 1, 6 liters and dynamics of 10 seconds up to 100 km / h for 515 tr to the SPORT configuration with a full electric package, a sports body kit, climate control, etc. and in the back of a sedan (the charm of hatchbacks didn’t seduce me then, I wanted the classics, but Tiida didn’t have a sedan and looked somehow clumsy). In general, it was decided to take Cerato, and issue CASCO, OSAGO and setting up a multimedia center for the difference in price, since the absence of a head unit in the KIA allowed this.

I used to work in car companies (sales, service), so when I chose the latter having an idea about cars, their operation, problems and cost, I had to rack my brains - what can you get for your “up to $ 20 thousand”.

The options were: Lancer 9th, Lacetti, Astra classic, Actavia Tour, Fabia.

Lancer 9th is expensive and modest (TO, equipment);

I accidentally noticed Cherato when I looked at all the salons that came across (except for Chinese and Soviet ones). At the time of purchase, I no longer worked in any of them, especially since I bought a car from competitors)).

I read the reviews in the same way - they were not very good about the Russian assembly, but they do not enter the market for us. At first it was a practical choice, price-quality-equipment ratio, but when I got to know better I was pleasantly surprised by the dynamics and driving performance, which are at the level of a completely different price category, because. I have a wealth of driving experience and the cheapest and very expensive and fast I had something to compare, but I thought that I had no money for this pleasure.

With its 1.6 it produces 122 hp. And the multi-link rear suspension, together with ABS + EBD, allows you to feel confident at speed - the car goes like a rut. The car listens to you, which is nice. The only thing you remember when cornering at high speeds is that this is still a sedan that has a rear overhang.
