How many liters of oil in the engine Ural 4320.

How many liters of oil in the engine Ural 4320.

The cooling system has a capacity of 31 liters. During the control inspection, the amount of coolant is checked and, if necessary, added to the norm.

During TO-2, the operation of the radiator shutters is controlled, the radiator fastening is checked, the tension of the fan belts is adjusted. The core of the radiator, if necessary, is cleaned with compressed air or a water jet directed from the fan, the operation and condition of the expansion tank plug valves are checked.

In autumn, during service stations, the low-freezing liquid is changed. If the water in the cooling system is used for a long time, flush the system in the spring.

Check the fluid level in the expansion tank. The level must be above the level cock. The amount of liquid in the container should not exceed two thirds of the volume. The fluid level is checked with a cold engine.

The tension belts of the liquid pump drive are regulated by the movement of the generator (). A correctly adjusted belt has an allowable deflection of 15-22 mm when pulled to the middle of the largest branch with a force of 40 N.

The tension of the drive belts of the fluid coupling on the Ural-4320 is carried out using the roller of the tensioner. It is necessary to loosen the nut fixing the lever to the bracket, insert the knob into the hole at the end of the lever. Turning the lever with the pulley around the axis, debug the belt tension.

Liquid is drained through four taps: on the lower tank of the radiator, on the boiler, on the heater pump unit, on the lower branch pipe of the liquid pump with the radiator plugs and the heating inlet pipe unscrewed. To drain the liquid from the expansion tank, it must be raised to the required height. Do not place the machine tilted backwards when draining fluid.

When using water in the cooling system, it is recommended to turn on the pump motor of the starting heater for a while after removing it. Thus, residual water is expelled from the pump. This is also done so that the impeller does not freeze. It is necessary to screw all the taps after the water drains. It is not recommended to close the radiator neck and the heater inlet pipe with plugs to prevent their freezing.

Starting and short-term operation of the motor without liquid is strictly prohibited: this can lead to the destruction of the sealing rings of the rubber cylinder liners, the burning of the gaskets of the block heads, the falling out of the valve seats, and the deformation of the heads.

The coolant system is filled through the radiator filler neck. The liquid level should be brought to the edges at the top of the cooling radiator pipes. If water is used, then its level should be at the lower edge of the neck, this is thirty millimeters above the edges of the radiator tubes at the top.

In the case of constant use of water as a coolant, the cooling system should be flushed. The radiator and motor are washed separately. The thermostats are removed from the engine, the drain cocks are removed from the block, the radiator valve is opened, the pipelines to the expansion tank are disconnected. A jet of clean water is fed into the opening of the nozzle of the thermostat box until the liquid from the taps is clear. The radiator is flushed by supplying water pressure through the lower pipe.

They get rid of scale by adding 20 grams of technical trilon per liter of water to the water that fills the system. The machine with the solution is operated for five days, and every day it is changed to a new one at the end of the day.

At the top of the unit is a fan drive fluid coupling. It is driven by belts from the crankshaft pulley. Therefore, the design of the fluid coupling housing, its fastenings and pulleys have been changed. To tension the drive belts, there is a device with a roller, which is mounted on the fluid coupling housing.

In the upper tank of the four-row radiator there is a plug with exhaust and intake valves. At an excessive pressure of 65 kPa, the exhaust valve opens, throwing excess liquid and steam into the expansion tank. The inlet valve opens at a vacuum of 1 ... 12 kPa. In this case, the fluid from the tank enters the radiator.

This vehicle of universal application is designed both for the transport of people and for the transport of goods. Professional carriers quickly appreciated the Ural 4320, the technical characteristics of this car were excellent. This SUV appeared in 1977 and immediately gained popularity due to its excellent cross-country ability.

On the net you can find footage of how the Ural 4320 moves in the mud, videos of this kind clearly demonstrate its impressive driving performance. In fact, this car is a civilian modification of the "" truck, which has been produced for military needs since 1961. It is not surprising that the load capacity of the Ural 4320 in conditions of not very reliable road coverage or even complete off-road conditions is very high.

Of course, the design of this car does not differ in special frills, moreover, in his case it is more about the construction, and not about the design. However, if you carefully look at the moving Ural 4320 (video at the end of the article or, even more so, in real life), then you can not help but find its harsh grace in it.

Permeability indicators

This brand is able to overcome obstacles that will baffle many analogues. She will not be blocked by shallow water barriers, and she will easily climb to a very significant height.

Modifications

There are many varieties of Ural 4320, photos available on the network give a general idea of their features. These include:

Thus, for various modifications of the Ural 4320, engine power varied significantly.

Of particular importance was the appearance in 2009 of a new version of the Ural, equipped with a superior cabin. It is equipped with a fiberglass hood and a kind of stylish plumage. Since that time, the manufacturing company has taken care not only of the off-road qualities of the brand, but also of the amenities for those in the cab, which were previously not given the closest attention.

Characteristics

Ural 4320 has a full set of parameters that make it an impeccable off-road workaholic.

The Ural 4320 engine, which was first produced at Kamaz, began to be produced at the Yaroslavl Motor Plant in the 90s, the cause of which was a fire at Kamaz. The clutch of the car Ural 4320 refers to the KamAZ-14 modification.

physical characteristics

The optimal size of the Ural 4320 wheel, as well as its configuration, among other factors, provide increased cross-country ability of this truck. At the same time, the machine is capable of developing a maximum (85 km / h) or close to it speed with a load of up to 5 tons, both when driving on the road and off-road.

Permissible conditions

This truck performs flawlessly in extreme conditions. Both in frost and in bad weather, it is the Ural 4320 that will cope with the transportation of goods, the device of this truck makes it minimally vulnerable to the elements.

The range of the Ural 4320 truck is also very significant, the volume of the tank allows it to move many hundreds of kilometers without refueling.

Service

The car, as it should be for a product of this category, is as unpretentious as possible in maintenance; in this indicator, it significantly surpasses foreign analogues. The Ural 4320 user manual is very detailed and written in an accessible language. Simple car repairs are quite feasible in open areas. To repair electrical equipment, a legible Ural 4320 wiring diagram is required. If it is available, any qualified technician can handle the work.

The Ural 4320 generator connection diagram must also be available for the uninterrupted operation of the vehicle. In its absence, difficulties may arise with the installation of this unit.

Market positions

This car is very popular. This is not surprising, among the factors that give the advantage of the Ural 4320 model - the price, which makes it as affordable as possible for the consumer, as well as the already mentioned excellent off-road qualities. Therefore, companies that need to transport goods to areas where communications leave much to be desired choose this durable truck with pleasure.

At the same time, the manufacturer does not stop there and is constantly developing new Ural models. At present, the options that appeared in 2009 and are equipped with the already mentioned superior cabin are enjoying significant success.

Like its predecessor Ural 375, this vehicle can be used for military purposes. Armored Ural 4320 is considered a very efficient and productive army model. It is designed to transport personnel and has a protection class 3, which means that it is able to protect those inside from being hit by bullets from some modifications of the AK, not to mention pistols.

The Ural Automobile Plant OJSC, which exists today in Miass, Chelyabinsk Region, was built back in 1941.

Initially, it was created as an enterprise specializing in the production of trucks.

The history of the creation of the base chassis of the car

Since the beginning of the sixties of the XX century, the Ural plant began to produce a truck of its own design - the Ural-375.

With all the positive qualities in terms of cross-country ability, which was very important at that time, this car had a serious drawback: a gasoline engine that consumed a huge amount of high-quality fuel - 50-60 liters per 100 kilometers.

In 1977, he was replaced by the Ural-4320.

Initially, it was planned in several modifications and was designed to transport various goods and people, as well as to transport trailers and trailers.

Due to the fact that in the base it was designed as an all-wheel drive vehicle with three driving axles, the Ural-4320 easily overcame difficult roads and swampy areas, and was also able to pass fords up to one and a half meters deep.

This was facilitated by the sealing of all the main units of the engine and machine during manufacture and assembly.

Refueling capacities of the fuel tanks of a truck allow you to take on board up to 300 liters of diesel, and in some modifications - up to an additional 60 liters.

Further changes in the technical characteristics of this tractor made it possible to create a machine that was able to drive off-road, regardless of the condition of the soil.

Military applications

Due to its unique characteristics, the Ural-4320 was very popular in the Armed Forces of the USSR.

During the fighting in Afghanistan, another quality of this machine appeared. During a mine explosion, the personnel who were in the back did not receive injuries and contusions. Undermining an armored personnel carrier guaranteed one hundred percent shell shock.

The basic serial "Ural-4320" was produced in the period from 1977 to 1986. It was replaced by the Ural-4320-01 with a new onboard platform, which was produced until 1993.

Modifications

"10" - modernization of the base chassis

With the beginning of the nineties, a modernized truck "Ural-4320-10" entered mass production. It can be distinguished from its predecessors by the air filter, which is installed on the right wing.

The basis of the truck is a rigid load-bearing riveted frame made of high-strength steel.

The design involves short front and rear overhangs, which contributes to increased cross-country ability. When assembled, the car has the following geometric dimensions - 7 588x2 500x2 785 mm.

At the base, a three-seater cabin is installed on the frame, assembled from thick sheet stamped metal.

The glazing is made in such a way that visibility from the cab allows you to fully control the traffic situation. This is also facilitated by large comfortable side mirrors.

The platform for transporting cargo or people is made of metal. It has an opening tailgate and lifting side seats.

It is possible to add boards on both sides, mount arches and an awning. In some trim levels of this truck model, a platform made of wood is installed.

The sides can be solid or lattice. The number of places for transporting people varies from 27 to 34. Load capacity - up to 10 tons.

The design of the machine assumes a front-mounted engine, the hood for access to the power plant opens up, there are wide flat wings on the sides that protect the driver's cab from dirt when driving.

The wheel formula of the car is 6x6. High cross-country ability is achieved, among other things, due to the installation of single wheels with automatic adjustment of the filling of the chambers with air on all three drive axles.

The best tires for an all-terrain vehicle are 14.00-20 OI-25.

The front suspension is dependent, on semi-elliptical springs with double-acting shock absorbers. Rear - also dependent, on springs with jet rods.

All three axles are leading, the front axle is with steered wheels, has CV joints. Friction clutch with a drive having a pneumatic booster.

In a two-stage mechanical transfer case, the drive to the front axle is permanently connected. The checkpoint of the Yaroslavl Motor Plant has five speeds and is fully synchronized.

Powerful towing devices in the form of hooks and a towing mechanism are installed on the rigid front bumper and behind the frame, which improves the technical characteristics of the car.

The brake system consists of a double-circuit working and spare single-circuit vehicle. In addition, there is an auxiliary vehicle with a pneumatic drive from the exhaust system. A mechanical parking vehicle has a brake drum on the transfer case.

24 V electrical system.

The machine has two 6ST-190 batteries, a waterproof generator of the G288E brand.

Two engine options are installed as power units on the Ural-4320-10:

  • diesel KamAZ-740.10 with a capacity of 230 liters. With.;
  • YaMZ-236, diesel, with a capacity of 180 liters. With.

It should be noted that when designing an all-terrain vehicle, its creators also took care of the driver. The steering has a hydraulic booster.

There is a powerful heater in the cab. The driver's seat has adjustments in three directions - forward-backward, up-down and adjustable backrest. The dashboard is conveniently located.

Instruments are easy to read, all the necessary buttons and switches are easy to get from the driver's seat. There is a large and comfortable glove compartment, as well as a shelf for storing documents and property; there is a tool box under the passenger seats.

All-terrain vehicle "30"

In 1994, the Ural Automobile Plant launched the serial production of an updated modification of this all-terrain truck, and the car began to be designated as Ural-4320-30.

This the model received a long base and tires with a wide profile - ID-P284. This car was produced until 2002.

This version of the cargo "Ural" has become a real all-terrain vehicle. It was intended for the development of hard-to-reach areas and easily moved off-road at speeds up to 65 km / h.

In addition, the machine of this modification overcame ditches up to two meters deep and steep obstacles with an angle of up to sixty degrees. For this, a YaMZ-238M2 engine with a capacity of 240 hp was installed on the truck. With.

Features of "31" series

In the period from the mid-nineties of the twentieth century to 2002, along with other Ural brands, the Ural-4320-31 car was in mass production.

It featured a longer hood and an air filter on the right side of the cab. It had a carrying capacity of 6.85 tons and could pull a trailer with a total weight of 11.5 tons.

Just like the "thirty", it was an all-terrain vehicle capable of moving off-road. The YaMZ-238M2 was used as an engine, developing a power of 240 hp. With.

On the chassis of this modification, in addition to the cargo platform, various KUNGs and devices were installed. These were, among other things, truck tractors working as timber carriers. Lifting devices were also installed on them, and they themselves loaded the timber onto the platform.

Cars of these models can be bought on the market at prices ranging from 1 million 300 to 1 million 800 thousand rubles, depending on the state of preservation.

What's new in the design of the "40" model

In 2002, the "thirty" was replaced by a more modern modification of this car - "Ural 4320-40".

Important! One of the main changes was that a different engine was put on this model. It was also a Yaroslavl diesel engine, only of a different brand - YaMZ 236NE2 with a turbocharger, which developed a power of 230 horsepower.

This car could be operated in the most severe conditions at temperatures from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.

Currently, various cabs are installed on the base chassis of this model, including a sleeper cab.

In place of the working platform can be installed: a mobile workshop or laboratory, a shift bus or technical assistance KUNG. It is also possible to mount a tipper metal body on this chassis with two- or three-way unloading.

The following equipment can be installed as options on the Ural 4320-40:

  • cabin with increased comfort for the driver, namely - sprung seat, soft steering wheel, high roof, heated seats;
  • double cabin with four doors;
  • in the brake system ABS and differential lock system;
  • on the front bumper traction winch;
  • insulation and heating of the battery compartment;
  • insulation of sensors and elements of the fuel system;
  • equipment additional tank for diesel fuel.

Truck tractor "41"

This modification was put into production in 2002 instead of the Ural 4320-31. These machines began to install a YaMZ 236EN2 turbocharged diesel engine.

The power of 230 horsepower was quite enough for this car to cope as a truck tractor when transporting semi-trailers on any roads.

It is most actively used as timber carriers. Crane equipment is also installed to work on difficult terrain or soils.

The chassis of this model is also in demand for the installation of other special equipment such as drilling or shift buses.

Since these machines are often operated in the conditions of the North, all the options that are installed on the "magpie" are also used when completing the "Ural 4320-41".

The price of new cars of these models can be in the region from 1 million 700 to 1 million 900 thousand rubles.

Prices for KUNG

Since the Ural vehicles were constantly supplied for the needs of the Armed Forces, interesting offers are now appearing on the market for various modifications of this vehicle, which were in warehouses, on conservation.

Almost new cars with no mileage, with unworn units are sold very well, especially since their prices are relatively low.

KUNGs based on Ural 4320 from conservation have a price of about 900 thousand rubles, and an ordinary truck can be found at a price of 700 thousand rubles.

When purchasing this or that modification of the car, it is necessary to study all its parameters, as well as view the electrical equipment diagrams. This will help you choose the best option.

Ural 4320 is an all-wheel drive truck with a 6x6 wheel formula. It stands out against the background of competitors with its cross-country ability. Wetlands, ditches, rises and ditches are not terrible for the car. During the period of snow drifts and spring thaw, the car is simply irreplaceable.

Ural 4320 is positioned as a dual purpose vehicle. The main consumer of the equipment is the Russian armed forces, but it is also used in other areas.

Good technical characteristics and high cross-country ability provide a stable demand for the Ural 4320 model, because its production is currently ongoing.

The car is used not only in Russia, but also abroad. Ural 4320 is in service with the Uruguayan army, is used by the Icelandic rescue service, and is operated by the Mexican marines. The model is also exported to the countries of Eastern Europe.

The Ural 4320 was considered as a replacement for the Ural 375, which was a multi-purpose four-wheel drive truck that had been produced since 1961. The new modification was supposed to be used in the same areas. The main drawback of the predecessor was considered to be a gasoline unit with high consumption. In the mid-1960s, the manufacturer assembled and tested the Ural 640 diesel engine, but there were not enough funds for the project, so it did not enter the series.

The return to the project happened in 1969. Then the Yaroslavl Motor Plant was given a state order for the development of a new diesel engine and transmission for the Ural 375 model. Soon the engines were successfully tested. In 1970, the first modifications of the YaMZ 7E641 diesel plant and the YaMZ E141 transmission created for it began to be mounted on test versions of the Ural 375D. During the testing process, significant shortcomings and miscalculations were found in the engine, so it was returned for revision to the Yaroslavl Motor Plant. The upgraded YaMZ 740 engine began to be installed in the Ural 375 E4320 prototypes.

At the end of the tests, the new model was recommended for serial production with the name Ural 4320. In 1975, the production of the truck started. The main difference between the car and the Ural 375D prototype was the engine, which became more high-torque and economical.

Since 1978, in addition to the YaMZ 740 engines, the Ural 4320 was equipped with KamAZ 740 diesel units. Initially, there were few modifications with the Kama power plants, but they gradually replaced the Yaroslavl engines. Almost all versions of the Ural 4320 began to be equipped with KamAZ 740 units. This happened until 1993, when a large-scale fire occurred at the KamAZ units plant, after which the supply of engines to third-party enterprises ceased. The developers returned to the Yaroslavl engines, but chose the YaMZ 236 and YaMZ 238 versions, which were distinguished by improved parameters.

The shortage of diesel units for the Ural 4320 model led to the fact that some modifications of the truck in 1993 and 1994 were equipped with ZIL 375 carburetor engines. They were a copy of the Ural 375D, but had a different plumage of the engine compartment. The versions with the YaMZ 238 engine outwardly differed from the models with the YaMZ 236 and KamAZ 740 units by a longer compartment for the unit. Since the mid-2000s, all truck modifications have been produced with an extended engine compartment.

  • In the 1990s, Ural 4320 acquired a wide bumper with headlights installed in it. Plugs were installed in the wings in the former areas for mounting headlights. However, for the Ministry of Defense, versions were made with headlights in the wings and a narrow bumper.
  • In 1996, the Ural Automobile Plant began production of a light version of the Ural 4320 with a 4x4 wheel arrangement.
  • In 2009, the truck received an upgraded cabover cab, complemented by Iveco's front fiberglass plumage. She got a rounded look. Until 2014, individual modifications of the Ural 4320 were equipped with this cabin.
  • In 2010, the car began to be equipped with YaMZ 536 and YaMZ 6565 diesel units that meet the Euro 4 standard.
  • In 2014, the Ural 4320 series was upgraded. The changes affected many structural elements, but the cab of the previous type was preserved. The new family was named Ural M. In 2015, the series was again refined, having received a modern cab of the GAZelle Next type. Individual nodes have been improved.

Production of the Ural 4320 in a heavily modified form continues at the present time. In the future, the Ural Automobile Plant plans to replace this model with the Ural NEXT series.

In addition to the initial version, the Ural 4320 was produced in the following modifications:

Device

The basis of the car Ural 4320 was an elongated riveted frame made of 2 stamped spars connected by cross members. The design was highly durable. Various superstructures or a basic body were installed on the frame. All modifications were made as off-road models with the same layout (the cab was installed behind the engine, the engine under the hood) and the wheel arrangement was 6 by 6.

The Ural 4320 transmission included a basic gearbox, a double-plate clutch and a mechanical shutdown drive with a pneumatic booster. The 5-speed gearbox had synchronizers in 2, 3, 4 and 5 gears. Due to the transfer case, the number of gears increased to 10 forward and 2 reverse. The razdatka itself was a 2-speed with a cylindrical lockable center differential, which distributed the force between the axles of the bogie and the always-on front axle (2: 1). The power take-off from the razdatka reached 40% of the engine power. Cardan transmission included 4 cardan shafts. The main transmission of the bridges was double, the drive axles were of the through type.

The front suspension is dependent on semi-elliptical springs with shock absorbers with rear sliding ends and shock absorbers, the rear suspension is balanced, built on 2 semi-elliptical springs with sliding ends and 6 reaction rods. All 3 bridges Ural 4320 were leading.

The braking system consisted of a working 2-circuit system and a 1-circuit spare system. The working brake system was drum type and had a hydraulic drive. As an auxiliary system, a motor-type compression retarder installed in the gas exhaust system was used. The parking brake system was a drum brake mechanism mounted on the transfer case output shaft.

For the Ural 4320 model, disc wheels with 10 studs were chosen. They used wide-profile tires (on some versions - with adjustable pressure).

The electrical equipment included a G-288E generator, supplemented by a voltage regulator, a standard CT-142-LS starter and 2 6ST-190TR batteries. The mains voltage was 24 V.

In the basic configuration, a cabin was installed on the frame, accommodating 3 people. It was assembled from stamped thick sheet metal. A large glass area increased visibility for the driver. The car was also equipped with side mirrors and a ventilation system. The driver's seat has been adjusted. Some versions were completed with a berth. Noise and heat insulation made the operating conditions quite comfortable. Since 2009, the Ural 4320 has received an updated cabin made of fiberglass. The location, working conditions and management in it have become more convenient.

The body was made in the form of a metal platform with a tailgate. It was equipped with benches with removable arches, additional sides and an awning. The body structure was made in the form of short overhangs. Ural 4320 was also equipped with a drum-type winch with a belt brake and a worm gear. The winch was driven from the power take-off, and the pulling force reached 7-9 tf. There were also special devices on the bumper, made in the form of hooks and improving the technical equipment of the car.

The price of a new and used Ural 4320

Ural 4320 was produced in various modifications. Most of the cars were sent to the armed forces. However, some versions were operated in industry, agriculture and forestry.

Production of the Ural 4320 continues. Currently, the cost of the basic version with a new cab and a 230-horsepower engine starts at 1.8 million rubles. A version with an extended chassis and a higher carrying capacity will cost more - from 2 million rubles. You will have to pay extra for special features and add-ons. So, a winch will cost 15,000-20,000 rubles. Modification with CMU will cost about 3.7 million rubles, a tank truck - about 3 million rubles.

There are also quite a few used Ural 4320s on the Russian market. Here the prices vary greatly. This is explained by the fact that among the proposals there are very old models in a deplorable state. Versions of 1990-1993 are offered for 350,000-60,000 rubles, 2004-2005 - for 0.9-1.2 million rubles.
