The declared ground clearance is 195 mm, but in fact it is approximately 185 mm, which, in principle, is quite normal for operation in difficult Russian conditions. Also, one cannot but rejoice that the bottom of the car is even - no protruding muffler pipes are visible, the engine compartment is reliably protected by iron, and the thresholds are located at the optimum height, making it not so easy to damage the body on a summer dirt road or a snowy road.

Comfort

Lada X Ray is not my first personal car, I used to drive a Subaru Forester, so my demands are high. Having a limited budget, you don’t really have to choose - the car market for seven hundred thousand rubles offers either Chinese cars or domestic Ladas. I liked X-Ray with a body very similar to Sandero. Of course, the reasonable price also hooked me - the top-end equipment for 673 thousand rubles (manual transmission, gasoline consumption of 6 liters per 100 km, engine power - 110 horsepower). In addition, I immediately changed the car into Kimho winter tires and bought rubber mats.

At the moment, the mileage of the car is four and a half thousand kilometers. I want to note right away that it’s quiet in the cabin, despite the studded “shoes”. The suspension is not bad, but in the pits it still shakes decently. Despite the low temperature outside and the icy rear windows, it is always warm inside the car. The front windows also freeze along the edge. Interior decoration - nothing special, although I did not expect anything else from a budget option. At the moment, the car suits me in everything. Maybe in time I will sell it and buy a foreign car.

I moved to Lada X Ray from Daewoo Nexia - we had another child and I wanted a car with a more spacious interior. So far I can’t judge the technical characteristics, since I bought the car only recently and the mileage on it is small. But I can make some points. The car is front-wheel drive, but I don't use it much, as there is not much snow in our city. Because of the hard plastic inside the machine, a knock is sometimes heard. The view behind and in front is partially blocked by racks, which is not very convenient. Fuel consumption is quite acceptable - in the city consumption of 9 liters. I bought a Lada X Ray some time ago and now I can name the pros and cons of this car. Of the merits, I note the impeccability of design, which some foreign cars may envy. In everything else - solid cons:

  • the clutch pedal is too soft, so it needs additional adjustment;
  • when the side lights are turned off, the backlight on the dashboard goes out;
  • the door seal is of poor quality - the driver’s side already needs a replacement, on the back it will also soon completely fall behind;
  • on the door handles, the plugs on the self-tapping screws do not fit snugly, and on the end side of the doors they are open;
  • uneven gaps are very noticeable on the front bumper.
