Too bad the suspension and steering setup is no different from the regular Polo. However, nothing surprising, because there is a Polo GTI in the world. Unfortunately, this version is not represented in Russia.

The seats in the GT cabin look good and refer to the Golf in appearance, only sitting in them is not half as comfortable. The back and cushion are very flat. Yes, and there is very little lumbar support.

What was the real downside? It's like a motor. Why? The fact is that of all the engines that are put on cars - 1.6, which was called CFNA, issuing 105 forces (there was also version 85, it was installed before the restyled version of the model), was extremely noisy.

Not only was it very loud, it also gave out a roar that is typical for a diesel engine, not even a passenger diesel engine, but those that are put on a minibus. In addition, he gave acoustic vibrations throughout the cabin. As a result, there was a feeling that he was not somewhere under the hood, but right in the cabin.

What happened, the foreign car itself is good, a large interior, well-made, enough space, but very uncomfortable. Because in terms of noise level it surpassed even the VAZ. This shortcoming of the car definitely made it worse.

Comparison

The differences between the new Volkswagen Polo 2017 model are a different grille, other headlights with separate low and high beams, a little change in the rear lights, and changes in the cabin, the main thing is the new motor. Now he gives out 110 forces or 90 forces, depending on the version. But most importantly, the new Volkswagen Polo Life has become much quieter and has become a class higher. The ride is quite comfortable. And now he has practically no flaws.

There are changes with the new motor, it warms up better. The old one warmed up for a very long time, if the temperature outside was somewhere around minus 15-20, if you drive through traffic jams or stand still, it does not warm up, the air will blow cold from the air ducts.

If the car is with a manual transmission, then the gear ratios have been lengthened. With the old engine, which was 150 or 85 forces, there were 2600 rpm at a hundred, with a new mechanic box it will be 2300, respectively, 130 will go at 3000. This is really convenient for the track, less speed, not so noisy and fuel consumption is also small.

The plastic parts fit together very well, there are no burrs, nothing, because other foreign cars suffer from this. The position of buttons, control buttons is standard. Most people like to say that the Volkswagen Polo life has calibrated ergonomics, that everything is perfect, obviously this is about the location of the buttons.

There are flaws in the location of the pedal assembly.

If the equipment is with mechanics, then the clutch pedal is shifted to the center there and it is quite long-stroke. For the track is a very good option, the consumption is very small and quiet.

If you had a mechanic with rather short gears, then when driving along the highway you drive 110, you will already have 3000 rpm and this roar was constant, now it will no longer be there and the engine itself is quieter, and the gears are longer.

It became much more comfortable to drive along the highway in terms of acoustic comfort.

Fuel consumption is very moderate. If you go to the limit of a hundred, you can fit in less than 5 liters per hundred. If - 120-130 will be 6.5-7 liters, this is also a very moderate consumption for such a speed. If we take a car with 1.4 TSI, it will be even more economical due to longer gears.

With regards to the headlights, on DRIFT STYLE in any configuration, the dipped and main beams were combined, they shone badly. Now in medium and high trim levels there are separate headlights, they illuminate the roadway much better. In the maximum speed, you can put xenon.

The dynamics of a car with 1.6 is enough.
