But, as always with turbocharged Volkswagens, the moment of acceleration is so spectacular that it seems as if three seconds have passed at most. One way or another, in comparison with 11.7 s., which, according to the passport, a 1.6-liter 110-strong aspirated engine is capable of, the difference is still noticeable.
The Polo GT sedan can be bought with a robotic DSG box. But as for me, such a perky car should be on the mechanics. Moreover, the “handle” here is six-speed, while there are only five gears on simple Polo.
Too bad the suspension and steering setup is no different from the regular Polo. However, nothing surprising, because there is a Polo GTI in the world. Unfortunately, this version is not represented in Russia.
The seats in the GT cabin look good and refer to the Golf in appearance, only sitting in them is not half as comfortable. The back and cushion are very flat. Yes, and there is very little lumbar support.
Other differences in the cabin, not counting the nameplates: cropped bottom and covered with leather "sports" steering wheel, chrome pedals.
The handbrake lever is also covered in leather. But the appearance of the parking brake is the tenth thing. The main thing is that it was convenient to pull, and there are problems with this because of the armrest hanging directly above it.

There are no additional amenities here, no ceiling, nothing, but this is the norm for budget cars. An interesting observation, in this configuration there are power windows even for the rear doors, but the driver does not have buttons for the rear windows, only at maximum speed. That is, if you opened the glass here and left, the driver will have to go back and close the glass.

Fitting is good, good quality. The gap between the panel and the door, in some you can poke your fingers, but here is a small gap. The plastic parts fit together very well, there are no burrs, nothing, because other foreign cars suffer from this. The position of buttons, control buttons is standard. Most people like to say that the Volkswagen Polo life has calibrated ergonomics, that everything is perfect, obviously this is about the location of the buttons.
There are flaws in the location of the pedal assembly.
If the equipment is with mechanics, then the clutch pedal is shifted to the center there and it is quite long-stroke. Noise isolation is average, usual for this class, the car is still budget. Again, before restyling, it was just terrible, the engine rumbled, growled at any speed and it was tiring. If you had a mechanic with rather short gears, then when driving along the highway you drive 110, you will already have 3000 rpm and this roar was constant, now it will no longer be there and the engine itself is quieter, and the gears are longer.
It became much more comfortable to drive along the highway in terms of acoustic comfort.
Fuel consumption is very moderate. If you go to the limit of a hundred, you can fit in less than 5 liters per hundred. If - 120-130 will be 6.5-7 liters, this is also a very moderate consumption for such a speed. If we take a car with 1.4 TSI, it will be even more economical due to longer gears.
With regards to the headlights, on DRIFT STYLE in any configuration, the dipped and main beams were combined, they shone badly. Now in medium and high trim levels there are separate headlights, they illuminate the roadway much better. In the maximum speed, you can put xenon.
The dynamics of a car with 1.6 is enough. According to her passport, she has an acceleration of 11.7 with a gun, which, it would seem, is not the most outstanding number, but the fact is that the engine pulls well in the range of 1500-3000. Good elasticity, namely, there is enough traction on the bottoms, this is more important during normal movement. Starts well, no hiccups. If you want something faster, you can take 1.4, it takes 9 seconds to reach a hundred, this is already more than fast.
