Despite the modest external dimensions, inside the Micra it has a fairly compact and at the same time spacious interior, so that people of almost any height and build can comfortably sit behind the wheel, for which, in addition to the standard set of adjustments, it is possible to change the seat height. The two-story dashboard is clear and informative. And the audio control buttons located on the steering wheel help you not to be distracted on the road. The on-board computer menu is simple and convenient, you can even enter especially significant dates into it, then the car will wish you a happy birthday or wedding anniversary. Apparently, wanting to prove to everyone that the Micra is really a 5-seater car, the interior designers managed to fit five cup holders into it: a double cup holder for the driver and front passenger is located at the base of the center console, a holder is placed in the sidewall trim and one lockable nestled on the tunnel.

In addition, the car has excellent additional features for transporting things. Let's start with the fact that under the front passenger seat there is a fairly spacious compartment where you can put anything you want, from a bag to any small things. The glove compartment has a special compartment for A4 paper, which is perfect for business women. And to the left of the glove compartment there is a hook hidden on which you can hang a bag of groceries. The machine is also equipped with an ISOFIX child seat. At the same time, the rear seats can be pushed all the way to the front and you do not have to reach out to the baby. Also, the rear sofa moved forward makes it an excellent opportunity to put bags there and not be afraid that they will fall to the floor during sudden braking. By the way, with this position of the rear seat, the volume of the trunk increases by 1.5 times (from 251 to 371 liters).

Micra has important practical solutions for everyday use, designed to make driving easier. For example, an electronic chip key that allows you to open and close the doors of the cabin and luggage compartment, as well as start the car without inserting the key into the lock. The car detects the proximity of the smart key within 80 cm from the car, after which the doors automatically open and close by simply pressing a button. To start the engine, the key is also not needed, it is enough that it is located somewhere in the car. In addition to the smart key system, Micra has the ability to remind you to fasten your seat belts if you have not done so. In addition to the above, the car has rain sensors, however, in heavy rain, the mustache wipers do not do their job very well. Confident behavior of the car on the road is provided by all sorts of smart systems such as ABS, EBD and Break Assist. A since September 2003 Micra with petrol engines is equipped with anti-skid system ESP.

All third-generation Nissan Micra engines are either newly designed or significantly improved. The car is produced with three types of gasoline engines and two types of turbodiesel (dCi) with direct injection with a common rail system. The three petrol engines belong to the CR series engine family. These are 4-cylinder all-aluminum 16-valve engines with 2 overhead camshafts, equipped with variable valve timing (VTC). They have a volume of 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4 liters with a capacity of 48 kW (65 hp), 59 kW (80 hp) and 65 kW (88 hp) respectively. The 1.2 liter petrol engine is also available with 48 kW (65 hp) for some markets. Since April 2003, the Micra has been available in Europe with a 1.5-litre 48 kW (65 hp) turbodiesel engine equipped with a common rail system. In September 2003, a more powerful version of this engine was released, with an intercooled output of 60 kW (82 hp) and a torque of 185 Nm at 2000 rpm.

A five-speed manual transmission is standard on all engines, while the 1.2- and 1.4-liter Micra is also equipped with a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The third generation Micra is more comfortable, quieter and more refined thanks to the use of hydraulic engine mounts used to reduce vibration and a new front subframe that absorbs noise and vibration while driving.

A high level of safety for the driver, passengers and pedestrians includes three main components: informational (information that the driver receives, necessary for complete control over the car), active (electronic ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, ESP systems) and passive safety (seat belts , active head restraints, frontal, side and side curtain airbags, as well as energy-absorbing materials for door trim and other interior details).

Nissan Micra won first place in its class in anti-theft protection in special tests conducted by the English magazine What Car?. As part of this test, not only the performance of anti-theft systems is assessed, but also the attractiveness of the car for the hijacker as a whole. In addition to the effectiveness of the keyless entry system, an important factor that influenced the assessment of experts was that the Nissan Micra is painted in unusual, bright colors. Car thieves, on the other hand, do not like to mess with conspicuous cars and will most likely choose a different, less flashy car to steal.

In 2010, the fourth generation Micra premiered at the Geneva Motor Show. At the heart of the car is a completely new platform. The Micra still offers a relatively spacious cabin with modest exterior dimensions. Being the smallest in the model range of the Japanese manufacturer, this car is perfect for city trips. The geography of production has expanded significantly, in addition to Japan and Europe, the car is produced at factories in Thailand, India, Mexico and China.

The fourth generation Micra is slightly larger than its predecessor in terms of external dimensions. The baby has become only 5 mm wider and 61 mm longer than its predecessor, compensating for the increase in these sizes by a smaller 15 mm height. The wheelbase has also grown by 20 mm. But in the weight of the machine, it was possible to lose as much as 35 kg. The design has undergone significant changes. The front of the car received almond-shaped headlights and round foglights. The shoulder line falling back from the engine cover continues along the A-pillars, which stretch to the middle of the roof. For this reason, a transparent panoramic roof is easily installed in expensive versions of the Micra. According to fashion trends, the front of the car is made in the form of a monolithic part, where the bumper is combined with the grille. Door handles, oversized side mirrors and anti-scratch molding brought fresh currents to the body profile. The rear received a roof spoiler and nice vertical block lamps.

Especially for the Micra 2010, new body colors have been developed. In addition to the traditional red, gray, black, white and silver, three individual ones appeared: Spring Green (spring green), Tangerine (tangerine) and Nightshade (nightshade).

The interior design is very well done. The gauge cluster is made up of circles and semicircles, and pairs well with Nissan's well-known three-spoke steering wheel with round vents. Comfortable fit in all places, including the rear sofa. The driver's seat is height adjustable.

However, the "base" Micra 2010 is in any case richer than its predecessor. All versions have air conditioning, central locking with remote control, a folding driver's armrest, tilt-adjustable steering column and electric power steering. Security systems include ABS with ESP, front and side airbags, curtain airbags and automatic door locks.

And as an advanced urban exotic, luxury items are optionally offered, such as the PSM system, which helps the driver determine whether there is enough space in the parking lot.

Trunk size has increased from 251 to 265 liters. If desired, you can separately fold the rear seat backs and increase the luggage compartment to 1130 liters.

Under the hood is a 3-cylinder 12-valve HR12DE. With a working volume of 1198 "cubes" and a compression ratio of 10.7, the all-aluminum unit produces up to 80 horsepower at 6 thousand revolutions. The maximum torque is 110 Nm. The power unit is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT V-belt variator. In a combined cycle with a manual gearbox, the car consumes only 5 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers. The motor is one of the cleanest engines in the world and has a CO2 emission level of 115 g/km. And this is as much as 75% less than its predecessor. No wonder the stern of the Nissan Micra 2010 flaunts the label Pure Drive (“pure movement”).

At the end of March 2013, a restyled version of the Nissan Micra 2014 model year was presented in Thailand. Among the main updates is a new platform, on which, by the way, the Nissan Juke is produced. After restyling, the car has noticeably changed in appearance. The front part of the hatchback was radically redesigned - the shape of the headlights, hood, bumper and radiator grille changed. It has become more expressive and at the same time brought into line with the corporate identity of the Nissan brand. The stern received LED lights, a modified bumper and some decorative trim elements.

Modernization affected not only the external image, but also the interior. In the interior of the model, the quality of the materials used has been improved, the available colors have been expanded, but most importantly, the center console has noticeably changed, where, among other things, round ventilation nozzles have given way to rectangular ones. Now the Micra driver and passengers can use a 12-volt outlet for charging mobile devices and additional USB and AUX inputs for playing information from portable players and memory savers.

An important innovation is the 5.8-inch navigation system monitor, which will not only help you get to your destination on the most economical route, but also let you know the weather, report traffic jams and show the album art of the music in your library. The new parking system with smart sensors will report the most suitable parking space and skillfully adjust the driver's actions, taking into account his driving skills.

The technical part of the car has not changed much - the modernization has affected only some electronic systems and equipment. The list of available equipment has also been expanded.

Three trim levels are offered - Visia, Acenta and Tekna. The equipment of the base Visia includes: central locking with remote control, electric power steering and front power windows, EUR, 14-inch wheels, ABS, ESP, front and side airbags and side curtains.

The Acenta comes with chrome trim, body-colored side mirrors and door handles, 15-inch alloy wheels, a rear roof spoiler, air conditioning, an armrest between the front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an audio system with CD and Bluetooth support.

Finally, in the maximum configuration Tekna is equipped with automatic air conditioning, parking sensors, a multimedia system and NissanConnect navigation. There are also fog lights, light and rain sensors, electric folding side mirrors, suede seat trim. For a surcharge, this version will offer 16-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a smart key and improved interior trim.

The 2014 Nissan Micra is powered by two engines. The first 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine with 80 horsepower. The second engine of the same volume, but already diesel and 98 hp. The motors are standardly mated to a 5-speed manual, but it is possible to install a continuously variable CVT transmission.
