Such a delay is associated with a change in the production site: before, cars were produced under a contract at the Circassian Derways plant (with welding and painting bodies), and updated versions are assembled at the Belgi enterprise in Borisov, Belarus (so far from SKD car kits). Crossovers are also made there. The hatchback became a victim of the "moving" (it accounted for 10% of demand) - from now on, the Emgrand 7 passenger car in Russia will be sold only with a sedan body.
Restyling did not change the car much: new bumpers, a radiator grille and lighting equipment are very similar to the previous ones, although one unusual feature still appeared in the exterior - these are the zigzags of the parking lights in the headlight units. A similar evolution is in the cabin: the front panel seems to be different, but very similar to the previous one. However, the steering wheel, instruments, climate control unit and even the gear lever are now new.
The upgraded motors have slightly increased in return and now meet Euro-5 standards. The base "four" 1.5 develops 106 hp. and 140 Nm (previously it was 98 hp and 126 Nm), and the performance of the 1.8 engine is 129 hp. and 170 Nm instead of 126 hp and 162 Nm. As before, both engines are combined with a five-speed “mechanics”, and for versions with a 1.8 engine, a Punch V-belt variator is offered.
