Campers. Choosing a Motorhome American Classic Luxury

Campers. Choosing a Motorhome American Classic Luxury

20.06.2020

A house on wheels is not a cheap pleasure. Prices for high-quality imported equipment in Russia start at five to six million rubles. It is all the more gratifying that firms engaged in the construction of motorhomes for every taste and budget appear on the territory of our country. We got acquainted with the products of some of them at the Caravanex exhibition in Sokolniki.

Outwardly, the motorhome of the company Autocamper is difficult to distinguish from imported analogues

One of the main suppliers of caravan equipment to Russia, the Avtokemper company, has recently started its own production of motorhomes. The first sign of the company was the Helix model 4200 camper. It was built on the Citroen Jumper chassis with a 130-horsepower diesel engine and “mechanics” with a gross weight of 3.5 tons, which means that the driver needs to have a category B certificate to drive it.

In the back - a solid bed

The walls of the motorhome are made of sandwich panels, and the plastic elements of the cladding are made by the Togliatti company Avtoritet Plast. Inside there are sleeping places for six travelers. At their service - a gas stove, a sink, a 90-liter refrigerator, as well as a bathroom, including a shower and a toilet.

Combined bathroom

The motorhome is equipped with two independent heating systems (if one fails, the equipment can still be used for its intended purpose), and the gas equipment is located in a separate compartment, which provides for heating and ventilation. Tanks for clean and waste water (100 liters each) are also heated.

The body is combined with the cabin in one piece

At the moment, several such motorhomes have already been built. Moreover, their additional production in Kolomna near Moscow should start at the beginning of summer. At the same time, the cost of one such camper is four million rubles.

In the back of Toyota there is a cramped, but full-fledged house

Another solution is a "house" in the back. For example, a Helix 2400 four-seat module fits comfortably into the cargo platform of a Toyota Hilux all-wheel drive pickup truck. This module is designed for four people.

Inside is cramped than in a full-fledged motorhome, but there is also a kitchen and a toilet with a shower. The approximate cost of such a superstructure is in the range of one and a half to two million rubles, depending on the content.

Want cheaper? Then a smaller house with a lifting roof - Helix 1500 - can be installed in the back of a pickup truck. At the exhibition, this design was hoisted on a Volkswagen Amarok. In the bowels of such a "tent" there is a large bed (2x1.4 m), a table and a sink with a folding washbasin. The price starts from 650 thousand for a superstructure without a heater. And this figure seems big? Then welcome to the "homemade".

At the exhibition, a battered old Gazelle buried its “muzzle” in the bushes, and in its body - a simple-looking, but neat motorhome, trimmed with aluminum panels. Its author is the Russian traveler and engineer Yuri Litovka.

Inside, everything is very simple, but cozy.

The motorhome itself is removable: it is installed in the body of any flatbed truck - for this you just need to remove the sides on the sides and front. Inside you will not find decoration with "thoroughbred" materials, but it is very comfortable here. In the front is a huge bed. In the middle - a living area with a table and sofas, which also transform into beds. Behind - a huge (for motorhomes) size shower.

The bathroom is larger than the more expensive competitors

The motorhome was made entirely by hand, only Yuriy ordered sandwich panels for the walls from Istok from Krasnogorsk, which manufactures trailers with various add-ons. According to Yuri, if such motorhomes are built to order, they will cost no more than 350-400 thousand rubles.

So, with a strong desire, you can also find a completely budget solution on the Russian market, even in such a highly specialized segment as the construction of motorhomes.

Motorhomes are cars with accommodation in a special van. The living quarters can be located in the trailer, and inside the car itself. The residential module is mounted on the chassis of light trucks and attached to the vehicle. The cabin of the car is inextricably linked with the living compartment.

This is the most common type of motorhome, because the living compartment itself can be easily unhooked if, for example, the car needs to pass inspection, and its availability will be problematic.

However, there are motorhomes, the living quarters of which are located directly in the cab of the car. It turns out a hybrid of a dwelling with a vehicle. Outside, motorhomes may resemble a bus or other shuttle vehicle.

Inside the motorhome must be all the amenities for the life support of people. There must be a shower and a dry closet, a gas or electric stove or a microwave if residents prefer semi-finished and finished products, heating so that it is not cold to move at low temperatures (most often gas), lighting and cabinets with shelves for storing items.

wagons

The idea of motorhomes passed to people from ancient people. Our ancestors used wagons for long journeys and military campaigns. These wagons were very convenient, as they could accommodate several people, and it was also possible to store provisions and transport jewelry and prisoners in the event of a successful military campaign.

Wagons were used not only by the military, but also by merchants and missionaries. The first transported goods in them, as well as provisions, spare clothes and weapons in case they had to defend themselves from robbers. The latter simply traveled around the country, spreading the ideas of their beliefs. For them, carts were a means of storing belongings.

It was easy to shelter from the rain in the wagon-wagons, but severe weather in the form of a storm and squally wind could easily turn this prototype of a mobile home over, and it could only be lifted by the efforts of a few people.

The dwelling wagons were most likely used by the nomads, but they still preferred to sleep in tents, and use the wagons for storage. Some inquisitors transported caught witches in special cages mounted on wagons.

Abbots and other clergy made long journeys from one abbey to another in them. What can we say about the whole train for the royal person. In such a train, which was a few wagons (carriages), not only the nobles themselves, but also their decoration moved.

The caravan is mentioned in the fantasy story The Wizard of Oz. The family of a little girl Dorothy (Ellie), who was the first of the people to enter the magical land, lived in such a van.

Such vans were not uncommon in the United States, since they were much more convenient to move around the semi-desert state of Kansas. Wagons, if necessary, were harnessed by horses and moved from place to place when, for example, the supply of fresh water ran out.

Leisure Trailer

The world's first recreational trailer was created by the Bristol Carriage Company. The customer was the popular writer Gordon Stubels. The first house on wheels was called the Wanderer. With his family, the writer traveled in this house in Britain.

Zagleimer made a big step in the development of motorhomes. Its design based on the car Ford T. had a retractable berth. However, in the future, cars with telescopic sliders did not receive distribution. When cars became commonplace, full-fledged autocottages with terraces and backyards began to appear.

All the amenities of life that we can see in ordinary residential buildings have become available. They experimented with motorhomes as best they could: they made extensions above the body, attached entire wagons, fitted a platform and put an ordinary house on it, converted buses.

The first motorhome that had a more or less modern look was the Land Cruiser bus house. In fact, these were simple intercity buses converted into houses. The line was soon sold to a certain Kirvin Elmers, who founded the Custom Coach Corporation. The company was engaged in alteration of buses under motorhomes to order. Today, this company occupies a leading position in the bus conversion market.

Motorhomes were designed not only on the basis of buses, but also on the basis of trucks. For example, Ray Frank built a motorhome on the chassis of a Dodge truck. Having a good engineering auto and air training, Frank was able to create a model that was quite breakthrough for his time.

The model began to attract attention, and the son of a talented designer, Robert, acquired a significant investment for Frank Motor Homes. Frank's company soon merged with Chrysler Motors, and motorhomes began to be produced under the Dodge brand. From that moment on, class A motorhomes began to flourish.

Since the beginning of the 50s, motorhomes have really become very reminiscent of ordinary trucks and buses. Moreover, the most compact of them turned out to be VolksWagen, which has firmly established its position in the United States due to its compactness and unpretentiousness. VolksWagen has also been developing unique DIY MiniHome kits. Such a motorhome was offered for assembly on its own, like a regular designer.

A very unusual motorhome is a five-wheeled camper trike built by David Castillo from California. The model was five-wheeled and outwardly resembled a motorcycle, since instead of the driver's cab he had a steering wheel from this vehicle.

By the way, some models of old motorhomes are still relevant today. For example, GMC Motorhome manufactured by General Motors is still in use today (remaining models). The model combined the body with an aluminum frame and fiberglass coating.

For the suspension, special air cushions were used, which were manually controlled for the convenience of determining the parking lot. The options that this car contained were available almost exclusively for luxury car models (cruise control, powerful audio system). The streamlined body slightly improved the dynamics and gave the motorhome an original design.

Advantages and disadvantages of a motorhome

Many people are excited about buying a motorhome because it gives them a certain independence and freedom of choice. Indeed, with a motorhome at your disposal, you can choose the place of residence that suits you almost anywhere on the continent where there is a road network.

And for those who do not like to stay in one place for a long time, the motorhome attracts with the opportunity to explore new tourist routes "without leaving home." In this case, you will save on hotel rooms and on some excursions, since you can conduct them yourself.

Booking rooms during the holiday season really takes time and money, and the motorhome will only consume fuel, which is in abundance.

It is also worth highlighting the spaciousness and comfort of modern motorhomes. Since progress does not stand still, motorhomes are becoming more comfortable, and living conditions are as close as possible to those in an ordinary house.

A motorhome can have amenities such as a shower, a refrigerator, a toilet, a comfortable bedroom, and even a gas or electric stove. Also, the patency of the motorhome was not ignored. Since they are designed, as a rule, on the chassis of trucks, problems with cross-country ability rarely occur. Is that the clearance is not enough, but this problem is easily solved.

As for the shortcomings of the motorhome, there are certainly fewer of them. But still, some shortcomings can scare away from acquiring such convenience as a mobile home. First of all, a motorhome is a luxury item, because not every inhabitant of even the richest country can handle its cost.

The motorhome tax is appropriate. Those who think that buying a motorhome saves themselves from property tax are only partly right. The second major drawback is the increased fuel consumption. Motorhomes are quite “gluttonous”, because they have to carry a whole dwelling in the back, and this is a rather big weight.

For some, the disadvantage may be the need for campsites, where residents can resupply food and just relax. The networks of such campsites are poorly developed, and you have to be content with what you have. In Russia, motorhomes are not very common, despite the wide variety of attractions.

Modern motorhomes are divided into 4 main types.

The main feature of such a mobile home is the original design. In its production, only serial engines, suspensions and transmissions are used.

The cabin is fully integrated into the living space. Such motorhomes have the highest class among other models.

Semi-integrated motorhome

Such motorhomes are built on serial chassis, on which a living cabin is installed. A semi-integrated motorhome is more manoeuvrable.

Residential minivan or kastenvagen is a mass-produced minivan, which is equipped with all necessary furniture, household appliances and a bathroom.

Designed, as a rule, no more than two people. In Europe, such motorhomes are popular among fans of short-term tourist trips.

Alcove motorhome

Like semi-integrated, it is built on a serial chassis. But the main difference between such a motorhome is the presence of an alcove, which is located above the driver's cab. This alcove usually accommodates a double bed. Such a motorhome is very convenient for large companies, as it can accommodate about 8 people.

Trailer house

A good alternative to a motorhome is trailer-based housing. It differs from a motorhome mainly in size (there is no cab space), the absence of a stationary sewage tank (they are drained to the side of the road, as in many long-distance trains), as well as the required category of driving license.

To move a house based on a trailer, category E rights will be required, but when moving in accordance with traffic rules, people will not have to be in the trailer.

Another difference is the lifestyle. The trailer-based house is designed for long-term living in one place with the ability to move. Whereas a motorhome is much more suitable for constant movement. After transportation, the trailer-based house must be brought to comfortable living conditions (electricity and a pipe for the bathroom).

trailer tent

It is the most maneuverable and cheapest type of caravan. It is transported by ordinary passenger cars, for which a regular driver's license is sufficient. A special difference is the presence of a folding mechanism, thanks to which the tent takes up little space during storage.

A caravan is considered the most comfortable type of motorhome for those who prefer stationary camping with minimal movement.

The interior space of such a trailer can be divided into several rooms.

Pickup module

It is a residential trailer that is attached to the body of a pickup truck. Even an ordinary Nissan is suitable as a pickup truck.

This type of home does not require any special categories of driver's license and is perfect for those who like to spend weekends in nature and travel in the absence of roads.

The living compartment can be easily detached and stored separately, so that you can easily move around the city by car. The capacity of the living compartment can reach 6 people.

Choosing motorhomes

By living area

The record holders for living space are alcove motorhomes. They can accommodate up to 8 people thanks to the presence of an alcove, which has extra beds. But if we are not talking about the number of people, but about the size of the living space, then it is best to choose an integrated motorhome.

patency

Most motorhomes have good cross-country ability, which cannot be said about trailer-based houses. Trailers are difficult to transport off-road, with the exception of the pickup module. So if you want to travel off-road, choose semi-integrated, alcove motorhomes and minivans.

Price

The most expensive are integrated motorhomes. They are also the most comfortable. Such houses are considered a luxury item.

Therefore, if you want to save money when traveling as a couple, give preference to a residential minivan and a pickup module.

Trailer-based houses are also relatively cheap, but they are not suitable for frequent movements. If you want to travel a lot, you should stock up on money, since motorhomes themselves are expensive, and not weak fuel consumption is added.

Service

The least maintenance-intensive are trailer-based houses, as they are transported by conventional vehicles. They do not have any wear parts and assemblies, except that the rubber on wheels and disks need to be changed.

Motorhomes, on the contrary, are more demanding in terms of maintenance, since there are even more components and assemblies in them than in ordinary cars. In addition, motorhomes use more fuel. If there is a gas stove in the motorhome, then you must also take care of the gas supply.

Well, you should not forget about the water for the bathroom and sink. As for food and water, it is better to stock up on them for the future, especially if there is a refrigerator in the motorhome. Thus, in terms of maintenance, trailer-based homes outperform motorhomes.

conclusions

Motorhomes are not only a convenient means of transportation, but also a great alternative to real estate. At the same time, they are deprived of some of the amenities that are present in an ordinary home. For example, there may not be a bathroom, you need to constantly stock up on water, there are no utilities that will come on call and fix all the electrics.

Of particular note is the high cost of motorhomes. Trailer-based houses are much more affordable, as they are more unpretentious in maintenance and create a complete imitation of living space.

Such houses are easy to move, but it is not possible to live in them under transportation conditions. Therefore, when choosing a motorhome, be guided primarily by the way it is used. Good luck and easy roads!

Traveling is always cool! Adventures, new places, acquaintances. But only one thing overshadows the upcoming vacation - the collection of things. You never know what you'll need, so you take whatever you can stuff into your suitcase. It would be great to travel without leaving home, or rather with him!

For this, resourceful people have adapted motorhomes or motorhomes. Every traveler's dream! We will tell you below which one is better to choose for the upcoming trip.

Kinds

There used to be one option - I took a horse, hitched a cart and went wandering. This is not a joke - before the advent of cars, circus artists, gypsies, nomads, moved only in this way (by the way, it was they who began to use “motorhomes”). There was no dwelling and everything needed was placed in a wagon.

Cars have not only made life easier, but also made travel more convenient. Now motorhomes for every taste and budget:

trailed - a dwelling is attached to the transport using a trailer

motorhomes or campers - accommodation is located in the cabin of the vehicle

Let's look at each in more detail.

trailed

Here is the link trailer. Such motorhomes are divided depending on what we attach to the car - a tent or a residential trailer (trailer).

trailer tent

The name speaks for itself - a tent is attached to the car, which must be assembled and disassembled at each stop.

There are extremely simple designs that only create a canopy and provide people with sleeping places. But there are much more advanced trailers that combine: a sleeping area, furniture, lighting, kitchen equipment.

The following brands of tent trailers are known on the domestic market: Skif, Picnic, Kupava, Viking, Camp-Let.

Residential trailer

Here you can at least put together a house and attach it to a car. It looks like a full-fledged dwelling with a bathroom, shower, heaters, necessary furniture and several rooms. It is also called a trailer-dacha - Europeans like to go on vacation to the seashore or to the mountains in them.

There are completely different sizes - it all depends on the imagination and needs of the owner.

Benefits of using a caravan:

1. At any time, you can unhook the trailer and move on in your usual vehicle.

2. Low cost compared to motorhomes.

3. You can save on accommodation.

Disadvantages of using a trailer:

1.Low speed of movement on the road (no more than 80-90 km/h).

2. Poor maneuverability.

3. Many European cities do not allow caravans to enter.

4. When driving in a trailer, it is forbidden for passengers to be.

Motorhomes (campers)

Every traveler's dream! A compact apartment on wheels - you live and drive with all the amenities.

A camper is a hybrid of housing and vehicle. From the outside they look like a bus or minivan, but inside they look like an apartment or a studio. There are sleeping places, a kitchen, a shower, a toilet. Even the smallest camper model can be equipped with a TV, coffee machine, satellite dish, bike racks, etc.

During the movement, the conveniences are powered by a car battery, while parking - on gas or from an external source of electricity (in campsites).

Campers are: alcove, integrated and residential minivans (kastenvageny).

Alcove motorhomes

A distinctive feature is the superstructure above the driver's roof (alcove), which accommodates an additional double bed. The capacity of such houses is up to 7 people.

The entire structure of the residential module (walls, floor and roof) is made at the factory from special sandwich panels, which improves the thermal insulation of the motorhome. In addition, the living unit is much wider than a standard minibus, which increases the interior space of the motorhome.

$ Price - from 1 to 5 million rubles.

Integrated

Such motorhomes look like buses and differ in their individual design. Individual design has not only the main body, but also the cabin of the car.

Refers to premium or business class campers, as manufacturers complete models at the highest level. Due to the complexity of construction, the price for them is higher and produced in smaller quantities.

The driver's cab is fully connected (integrated) with the living compartment, so there is a lot of free space inside. The motorhome of such a plan can accommodate from 4-8 people.

$ The price of the new model is from 1 to 10 million rubles.

Residential minivans (kastenvagens)

In fact, it is a residential minibus with a high roof. Due to its small size, it is the most maneuverable on the road of all types of motorhomes.

In the van of the kastenvagen there is only a living compartment with the necessary furniture and equipment. The bathroom is rarely built in - there is too little space. Designed for 2 people.

$ Price - from 1 to 2 million rubles.

General layout

In most cases, the layout of the motorhome includes: sleeping places, a dining room, a kitchen area and a bathroom. Depending on the size of the interior space, these elements can be placed in the same room or in different rooms.

Dining room

The dining room is the main difference between a motorhome and other vehicles. It has a removable table and sofas around its perimeter, which can easily be used as extra beds.

Usually in left-hand drive motorhomes, where the entrance door to the salon is located on the right, the location of the classic dining room is on the port side. Two chairs are located across the table opposite each other or around the table in a semicircle.

Sleeping places

Sleeping places can be both separate and transformable. The former include stationary double or single beds, located, as a rule, in the aft part of motorhomes.

Transformable beds are folding sofas or beds formed during the layout of the dining group. A classic option when dining chairs transform into a double bed.

Kitchen

A full-fledged kitchen unit is a gas stove with 2 or 4 burners, a kitchen sink (on the same worktop as the stove), a refrigerator built into the furniture (single or with a separate freezer), cutlery boxes.

There are always several outlets next to the stove. They can be from 2 to 3 pieces. The mains voltage is 230 V. The power supply system functions only if the camper is connected to the mains using an extension cord.
Refrigerator is powered from the mains or from a battery. Some models of caravans on wheels allow you to connect a refrigerator to gas.

The kitchen area is complemented by upper shelves above the countertop. The kitchen unit can be located on either side or in the stern. The kitchen can be straight or angular.

bathroom

The c/a combines a shower, a washbasin and a dry closet and is the only room allocated to a separate room. Smaller motorhomes may not have a shower cabin.

Interior design options

Interior design in motorhomes can be anything. It all depends on its area and type, on the taste and preferences of travelers. Here's how to furnish your motorhome in style and comfort.

trailer motorhome

In a wooden motorhome with an area of 9 sq. m and a height of 240 cm has everything you need: a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom. The house is made of lightweight natural materials - the facade and interior are made of oiled pine wood, and the floor is made of lightweight birch plywood. One of the facades is completely glass, so there is always light in the van.

Inside there is a sofa that converts into a bed, cabinets and drawers above and below the bed.

The kitchen has a small worktop, sink, electric oven and refrigerator.

You need to connect to electricity in campsites using a regular outlet - there is a switchboard in the van.

house bus

Its advantage is dimensions, so such a motorhome can be divided into several residential areas: an office, a kitchen, a toilet, a bathroom, a bedroom, a living room and even a garage.

There are solar modules on the roof, LED wiring, ventilation and a water heater. When the batteries are low, you can cook on the gas stove. The walls of the motorhome are insulated with a modern insulator so that you can travel comfortably in winter. Light wood interior.

The kitchen is spacious enough for an ordinary motorhome and is designed for two people. A deep sink, two-burner stove, microwave, refrigerator and built-in cabinets sit on a long wooden countertop.

Not all motorhomes have a separate living room. Here it consists of a large sofa, armchairs and a separate dining table.

There are even two workplaces with computers, drawers, sockets and a system unit. Everything is thought out and comfortable.

The bedroom is a large double bed located at the rear of the bus on a raised platform.

Above the headboard are two lamps and several wooden bookshelves. The highlight is a small glass hatch on the ceiling.

House trailer from the 70s

The interior is made in soothing white and gray tones, bright accents - curtains and bed linen with a floral pattern characteristic of the 70s.

The motorhome is very bright due to the large number of windows.

The trailer has a kitchen (white illuminated kitchen unit, two sinks, oven, stove and large refrigerator).

Dining room (dark wood table, two sofas that convert into a full double bed and a crystal chandelier on the ceiling).

Bedroom (two beds, built-in cabinets near the ceiling, two large windows on both walls).

Very cozy and bright house for travel.

American luxury classic

While Europeans produce motorhomes with minimal standard equipment, Americans create additional amenities - air conditioners, CD-audio systems, TVs, full-sized toilets and showers. For Americans, comfort is the first item on a journey.

They invented a system of sliders (retractable walls) to increase the living space of motorhomes. In many cases, this design increases the final cost of the motorhome.

Many important details have been thought of. For example, the sink (there are two of them, as in all kitchens in the USA) closes at the top, which turns the counter into a large table, convenient for cooking. The plate is also closed with a lid.

All stoves are gas, for 3-4 burners, with an oven and do not differ from home stoves. In the morning, the coffee maker will make coffee, toast will pop out of the toaster, the dishwasher will wash the cups, and you can have breakfast and watch your favorite show on TV. Like in a normal apartment.

The living room is primarily a cozy space for communication. Usually a wide sofa, a pair of armchairs, a chest of drawers, a plasma TV with a satellite dish are installed.

The dining room is designed mainly for four people who can accommodate at a large panoramic window. Under the seats is a storage space. At night, the dining area can be transformed into a comfortable bed for two.

In luxury motorhomes, the center of the bedroom is a spacious bed with bedside tables and built-in drawers for storing linen, a plasma TV. The minimum width of any bed is 90 cm, the maximum width is 200 cm or more.

The bathroom is in a separate room. There is a toilet on one side and a shower on the other. The bathroom area is ventilated. All plumbing is chrome plated. The bathroom has a heated towel rail and heated floors.

Here it is, the American dream in all beauty.

If you are still thinking about what to go to conquer the open spaces, then just weigh all the pros and cons of traveling by motorhome. To do this, we have prepared this table:

Campers are cars combined with living quarters in them or living quarters in the form of trailers and vans. The mobile home is designed for long-term living, and you can travel with the whole family on it.

By choosing this way of active recreation, you have freedom of movement, and at the same time there is no need to purchase tickets and book hotel rooms. For the convenience of travelers, the camper is equipped with equipment necessary on a long trip: you can cook food, watch TV and relax comfortably after a long journey.

Classification and design features

According to the method of movement, two types of autocampers are distinguished: self-propelled and trailer motorhomes (trailer).

In turn, self-propelled vehicles are divided into five types:

  1. Kastenvagen.
  2. Alcove camper.
  3. Semi-integrated campers.
  4. Integrated mobile homes.
  5. Trailer.

Let's consider each of these types in more detail. Kastenvagens are built on the basis of a minibus, so they can be used in everyday life. They are equipped with furniture and appliances and are designed for short trips to nature.

Alcove camper

The device is built on the chassis of a serial car and consists of a driver's cab and a residential van. Above the roof of the driver's cab is an alcove with a double bed. This design allows you to save free space, so you can go on a trip with a large company.

The camper van is divided into a dining area, which is convenient for cooking, a relaxation area, a toilet with a shower, and a place to store luggage. Semi-integrated campers are similar in design to previous models only without an alcove, however, they have better technical characteristics.

Integrated mobile homes

Integrated motorhomes differ from other types of campers in that the driver's cabin is integrated into the living area. This is the most expensive type of car campers, therefore, the level of comfort and quality of equipment is much higher.

For the convenience of passengers, such vehicles are equipped with floor or wall-mounted air conditioners, electric generators, for autonomous operation of a mobile home, a stove and a gas cylinder for cooking. In order to travel on a camper in winter, its walls and floor are insulated. Some models have a garage in the back that can fit a small car or motorcycle.

The trailer, like the camper, is designed for long journeys and is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable trip. However, such a mobile home is not able to move independently and is attached to a car. Most often, such a motorhome has one axle for better maneuverability. But there are also multi-axis models that are larger in size. The design of the exterior and interior of the trailer can be chosen according to your preferences.
