What is the volume of oil in the automatic transmission aisin 09g.

29.09.2019

The six-speed Aisin TF60-SN is installed on front-wheel drive vehicles equipped with 1.4-2.0 liter engines. The most popular automatic 09 G is used by such well-known automakers as Audi, Volkswagen. This design was created in Japan by Aisin together with the German company VAG. VAG designers are engaged in the design, settings of electrical circuits and electronic sensors. Among the many names of this box, you can find BMW GA6F21WA (for the Mini Cooper model).

Brief description of gearbox 09 G

The automatic transmission is designed for a transmission of no more than 280 Nm. Like everything, the mechanism is characterized by the following indicators:

  1. Increased durability.
  2. Affordable repair, thanks to relatively cheap spare parts.
  3. Compared to German counterparts, the 09 G box has a harder gear shift, which is less comfortable for drivers.

Interesting: The variety of box names is explained by the great popularity of this design. Many well-known automakers, when installing Aisinovskaya 09 G on their cars, assigned the original name to the gearbox. In this matter, the engineers of popular German firms were especially distinguished. There are a large number of models in which the valve body 09g differs in design, as well as electrical and electronic circuits have their own characteristics.

Due to the increased popularity of the 09 G automatic transmission, numerous modifications are being created on the basis of automatic transmissions developed by Aisin and VAG. New developments are adapted for engines with a volume of 1.4 - 3.5 liters, have different gear ratios and appropriate settings for computer programs.

On which cars is the box 09G (Aisin TF60-SN) installed?

Due to its excellent performance and technical characteristics, this box has found wide distribution among the most famous engineering corporations:

  • SKODA
  • VOLKSWAGEN
  • Volvo
  • FORD etc.

Aisin box maintenance features

Synthetic-based automatic transmission is poured into the 09g gearbox lubrication system. Brands of recommended ATP lubricants:

  • G 055 025 A2;
  • Toyota T-IV;
  • Mobile - 3309.

The amount of ATP transmission oil poured into the Aisin gearbox is more than seven liters (excluding fluid flow to a separate rectangular heat exchanger or radiator).

Aisin 09 G automatic transmissions are very sensitive to insufficient ATP in the lubrication system. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the level of the lubricant.

We set the automatic transmission oil level 09g according to the following scheme:

When determining the amount of oil in the box, the automatic engine must be turned on, the temperature of the lubricant must correspond to the operating parameters: plus 40 - 50 ° С. The oil level is checked using a special overflow tube, which is located in the control hole at the bottom of the gearbox pan. Simultaneously with checking the level, it is recommended to analyze the quality of the gear oil. To do this, you need to prepare a special napkin made of cotton fabric, on which to apply a few drops of the studied oil.

High-quality ATF transmission oil must meet the following parameters:

  1. Color - all shades of red up to light brown.
  2. Foreign inclusions in the form of metal fragments - chips, fragments, etc., as well as suspensions formed as a result of wear and combustion of friction linings of clutch discs are unacceptable.
  3. No bad smell of burnt oil.

If there is at least one violation from the list presented, it is urgent to change the oil in the 09G automatic transmission, followed by a diagnosis of the working units and parts of the gearbox in specialized service centers.

Tip: If the oil has darkened, but remains transparent, the 09g manual recommends that in new machines a partial replacement of the lubricant be made after the initial distance traveled, equal to no more than 80,000 km. Indicators such as the durability and stability of the automatic transmission depend on the degree of purity of the oil.

Why are oil filters replaced?

One of the mandatory maintenance items for an automatic transmission is the replacement of filters, both external and internal. Box 09G is designed for metal filter devices equipped with a special metal mesh. On modern cars with automatic transmission 09 G, internal coarse filters of modification 134010B of Chinese or Taiwanese production are most often installed. Dismantling and installation of a new mechanism are carried out in the process of sorting the box or changing the oil.

Important: The nominal service life of steel mesh filters is 200 - 300,000 km. However, it is not uncommon for the friction linings of the clutch discs to wear out and completely burn out, as a result of which the oil is filled with a refractory adhesive composition that clogs the cells of the metal mesh. Such contamination is very difficult to remove even when strong solvents are used. If an old filter is placed in a repaired gearbox, when the oil temperature reaches more than 150 ° C, the resins are washed out of the filter cells. Contaminants enter the lubricating fluid. penetrate into the thin channels of the valve body in the form of harmful precipitation, . Experienced auto mechanics advise not to save, but to install new filter elements when changing the oil in the automatic gearbox.

Maintenance of the automatic transmission heat exchanger

The heat exchangers of the automatic transmission cooling system in cars with high mileage also need to be dismantled and completely replaced with a new device. During operation, the narrow honeycombs of the automatic transmission cooling system 09g are filled with the adhesive base of the friction linings. Subsequently, wear products of the old oil settle on this viscous layer.

The gearbox heat exchanger, like oil filters, is clogged with sparingly soluble deposits. Experienced drivers recommend dismantling the contaminated heat exchanger, and instead use a special adapter (adapter) 134998, which connects to an external gearbox cooling radiator.

The purpose of the external fine oil filter

Owners of cars with high mileage often equip automatic transmission 09 G with an external main filter 100019. With the help of a filtering device, the radiator and transmission oil are kept clean, while the wear rate of working parts and gearbox assemblies is sharply reduced. Thanks to the use of an external filter, the service life is noticeably extended and the quality of the operation of the electromagnetic valves of the automatic transmission valve body (solenoids) is improved.

Typical breakdowns 09G

The 09G overhaul and overhaul will require a variety of spare parts. First of all, these are oil seals, gaskets and other sealing parts included in ready-made repair kits 134002 from well-known manufacturers:

  1. Transtech.
  2. precision.
  3. ATOK.
  4. Overalkit.

Sets of pistons 134008, friction discs of the clutch mechanism 134003 are in no less demand. When replacing friction clutches, it is recommended to use the entire kit as an assembly in order to prevent the effect of slippage, followed by accelerated wear and burning of gaskets.

Important: Friction disc designs have undergone some changes over time. Therefore, experienced auto mechanics recommend paying attention to the number of teeth located not on the inner diameter of the clutch modifications (60 or 55).

The accumulators of the automatic transmission valve body have a great influence on the performance of the hydraulic system. In worn-out batteries, 15741-14K Sonnaks 134741B valves most often fail.

When replacing pistons, a universal kit is installed, which is perfectly combined with all valve bodies of six-speed automatic transmissions manufactured by Aisin. After installing it, the clutches stop slipping, the gear shift speed is restored.

If damage to the oil pump 134510 is found, you can try replacing the bushings 134034 or bearings. However, if the defect is discovered too late, it is often necessary to replace the entire pump assembly with a new unit.

What is the repair of the hydraulic unit? All channels are thoroughly cleaned, all worn valves and accumulators are replaced. Hydraulic plate wear is one of the most complex automatic transmission defects. With such a breakdown, one cannot do without a complete replacement of the entire expensive valve plate (Valve Body valve body No. 134740).

In the process of repairing an automatic transmission automatic transmission 09 G, experienced craftsmen adapt the gearbox to the driving style of a particular driver. At the request of customers, special tuning methods are used: encoding and firmware.

List of automatic transmission spare parts subject to frequent replacement:

  1. 09G927321B - speedometer speed sensor 09G927321B VAG
  2. 09G919823 - automatic transmission selector VAG VW GOLF V / AUDI A3
  3. 09G927363B - wiring harness
  4. 09G927749M - control unit
  5. 09G325429A - oil filter for automatic transmission Volkswagen
  6. 09G321370 - pan gasket
  7. 09G321181A - a small sealing ring of the heat exchanger.

The 09G automatic transmission is designed for quiet moderate operation. Frequent use of the KickDown function, pressing the gas pedal “to the floor”, as well as sudden braking lead to a decrease in the resource of the automatic transmission and the car as a whole.

In addition to the requirements for a calm driving style, it is recommended to change the transmission oil and automatic transmission filters in time. Do not believe automakers that the box is maintenance free. The 09G box needs a complete ATF replacement after every 50,000 km run. At the same time, it is also necessary to remove and clean the sump, replace the oil filter with a new mechanism, and carefully inspect the valve body.

If sharp fluctuations and jerks are noticed in the operation of the automatic transmission when shifting gears, the defect will not correct itself by changing the oil. This will require qualified assistance from service stations. The repair service shop must be technically equipped and equipped with a special calibration stand for checking, adjusting and restoring the operability of the automatic transmission valve body. The valve body of the automatic gearbox is not manually adjusted - this must be remembered by all novice car owners.

Changing ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluids) in a 6-speed automatic transmission (tiptronic)
Car - 2005.5 Jetta 2.5.
A small report on how it was all done.

Changed Lifetime ATF in my wife's car.
There were two reasons: the first of the religious category - there is no faith in life-long working fluids.
The second, in fact, confirms the first. I noticed that the box began to switch with small jolts.
Mileage by car ~ 95 thousand miles. The fluid was changed for the first time.

Spare parts:
Filter with gasket: 09G325429A (Rein)
ATF: G055025A2. Bought 6 liters. Changed a little more than 4x. It is not necessary to buy original oil. The same Mobil ATF ™ 3309 will cost two to three times cheaper. Mobil1 officially confirms fluid compatibility by number: VW G-055-025-A2

Stopper: WHT000310A
Sealing washer for plug: 09D321181B.
The washer is aluminum, disposable. When tightened, it changes its profile.

Tools:
- Torx T25
- L-wrench Hex 5mm
- Socket Hex 5mm
-Socket 10mm
- Garage Jack
-Jack stands
- ASSENMACHER ATF1033-5VW VW Transmission Fluid Filler
- VCDS (VAG-COM).
- Rags for wiping.

Work progress
I drove the car onto the ramps, put the stern on jack stands. Made sure the machine is leveled. We set the level to the midsection / midship frame (if such terminology is suitable for the car body). We check in both planes.

Removing engine protection: 8 T25 screws

We substitute the container for receiving liquid and unscrew the drain plug: Hex 5mm

In my case, a little less than 2 liters merged.

Unscrew the level tube from the drain hole. About 0.75 liters of liquid will merge.

We screw the old plug back into the drain hole and remove the transmission pan: socket 10mm.
Remove transmission filter. When removing the filter, about half a liter of liquid will merge. Be ready to "catch" her. Three bolts: socket 10mm.

We wipe everything dry. Install the level tube and a new gasket in place.
We install a new filter, wetting its cork surfaces in ATF. Bolt tightening torque 4Nm.
We install the pallet in place. Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross sequence. Tightening torque 7Nm. Do not drag!

Install the ASSENMACHER filling adapter into the drain hole.

We pump four and a half liters of liquid. Used for this pump:
ASSENMACHER ATF1033-5VW VW Transmission Fluid Filler is recommended for VW of America. Worth every cent.

Close the hose valve.
We start the engine.
We squeeze the brake pedal and shift the gears of the box, lingering on each for 3+ seconds. Repeat several times.

We connect VCDS and wait for the temperature of the transmission fluid to rise / fall to + 35..40C. (* - the regulated temperature for measuring the level. In my case, everything was much more severe. The temperature in the garage was + 37С and when the engine started, the box instantly warmed up to 58С. I operated with this temperature.)

After the temperature has reached the prescribed value, disconnect the hose from the filling fitting and drain the excess fluid.

After the excess fluid has drained, we twist the cork with a new washer. Tightening torque 20 Nm. Washer disposable!

We turn off the engine. Reinstall the plastic engine cover.
"Cleaning jobs".

The tremors after changing the fluid are gone. The box works like new.
So you need to periodically refresh the ATF, even if it is somehow immortal. With a high degree of probability, the information on repair and maintenance is also suitable for your car.

The world's first 6-speed automatic transmission 09G(TF60-SN- according to Aisin Co classification) - since 2003 it has been used for almost all front-wheel drive cars of the Volkswagen and Audi family (A3, A4 and TT) with an engine from 1.4 to 2.0 liters. ( Mini Cooper, Skoda Fabia, Polo... complete list -)

Developed by the Japanese company Aisin according to the terms of reference of VAG, which took over the design and settings of the electrics, ECU and aggregation with the engines of their cars. According to the BMW classification for the Mini Cooper, it can be called: BMW GA6F21WA.

09G p rated for torque up to 280 Nm.

The next "innovative" generation of 5-speed. Together with the longitudinal one, released at the same time, it competes with the German ZF box and is considered more durable and relatively cheap to repair, but not as comfortable for the driver. A typical difference between Aisin's boxes and ZF assault rifles.

After break-in 09G and improvements came out sub-modifications (for hardware) 09K and 09M, which began to be used together with engines up to 3.5 liters (TF-62SN -61SN,Passat, Superb, Transporter). There are many other modifications in the repair, which differ mainly in electrics and the design of the valve body. Due to the fact that the box went "from hand to hand" it has many names, such as AW6VWF1 and so on, where changes were generously made by German engineers.

More about features

In parallel, in 2003, a modification of the related rear-wheel drive 6-speed ) longitudinal arrangement.

This family of 6-speed automatic transmissions was developed by the Japanese Aisin in collaboration with the German VAG (Audi-Volkswagen Group), which can be considered a co-author responsible for the operation of the computer-ECU and valve body solenoids. And it is not entirely clear: who is to be considered responsible for the failures TF60-SN- Germans or Japanese? As always, the reliability of the design is attributed rather to Aisin, and the problems with early repairs are the "merit" of the Germans.

pilot model 09G(TF-60SN) was tested for a couple of years on the Mini (as 6F21WA) and after improvements in 2009 it began to be used for the Skoda Superb and Saab 9’3.

The rest of the automakers installed a reinforced modification 09K (torque up to 400 Nm). The masters gave her the name TF-61SN.(In the auto world, Aisin classification TF62.. or TF61.. - rarely used. German names are more convenient and common 09 ... )

09K first tested on Polo, Golf and Transpotrer. In 2004, when the main "childhood" diseases of the design were eliminated, they began to put it on rare Seats, Skoda Octavia, Fabia and Roomster and on the Trade Winds around the world, including in Russia. And since 2005, this machine has conquered the market of Chinese Ford Mondeo and British Mini, and other cars of the Volkswagen family (Touran, Sharan, Tiguan, Jetta) and Skoda.

By 2006, a more powerful hardware version of this box was developed - 09M which was installed with 3.2l VW Transporter. For the all-wheel drive Passat 3.6 l, this modification of the automatic transmission was named by the Germans as 09M, parts for which are related 09K . Acceptable torque - up to 450 Nm.

Now it is already a proven and reliable modern automatic transmission for popular bestsellers with excellent performance, the only real competitors for this machine are ZF-- and younger brother - . It also successfully competes with 7-speed DSG type . Difference 09G - long-lived, unpretentious, maintainable indestructible box, which really requires change and don't overheat the oil.

and filter

The box is sensitive to the "correct" ATF oil level, which is checked at t=40°±5° by the level of the overflow pipe in the sump ( ) , with an oil change, the filter is usually not changed, only when the box is rebuilt.

For cars with different dimensions of the engine compartment and with different valve bodies, automakers have developed their own metal filters with a metal mesh:

Coarse filter - with a metal mesh, has two sub-modifications - 134010, for small pallets (since 2003) and 134010B, with a deep intake (since 2005) - the most common in orders. Original filters have not been popular with craftsmen for a long time, only non-original ones, which are made by leading factories in China and Taiwan with a zero percentage of defects.

They change only when the box is rebuilt and when the oil burns out.

- filter 09K (No. 134010A) with a small intake began to be produced in 2004 and is more rare in our market.

And rare Volkswagen models with modification 09M in repair use the third version of the filter 134010C. (left)

Filters with a metal mesh normally serve for 200-300 tkm, but in the case of combustion of friction clutches to iron, a refractory adhesive layer enters the oil, which clogs the filter meshes and is hardly washed out even with very strong solvents. And when installing the old filter in a repaired automatic transmission, when the oil temperature rises to 120-150º, these resins are again washed out of the filter into the oil and settle in the cleaned channels of the valve body and solenoids. Very rare economical owners do not change metal filters with oil.

In age cars it is criticalclogged heat exchanger cells. And after overheating and combustion of the clutch frictions, the adhesive base gets into these narrow honeycombs. Dirt from hot oil settles on this glue over time and the heat exchanger already serves as an “additional oil filter”.

Such plaque is practically not washed out of the honeycombs and critically reduces the characteristics of the heat exchanger.

Therefore, the masters recommend that when overhauling 09G with burnt clutches, replace the heat exchanger with - install an adapter / adapter on the radiator - # 134998 (most often found in 2 types: round and rectangular - on right). And an external oil cooler is already connected to the adapter. More details -.

In age machines with an external radiator, the craftsmen install an external fine filter - 100019,

Inline filter helps keep oil and radiator clean and reduces component wear. This is especially recommended for all age machines that have a standard coarse filter that has a metal mesh membrane, and not felt.

In addition, the design of the main filter has an additional magnet that holds the iron fraction. More details -.

09G uses synthetic ATF type: G 052 025 A2. For a complete replacement (excluding radiator/heat exchanger), approx. 7l. For modifications for a 2.5 liter engine, a larger volume heat exchanger is provided - a rectangular one. And for cars with a 3-liter engine that are rare in repair, there is a separate cooling radiator that can accommodate an additional volume of oil.

The box is sensitive to the correct oil level. The oil is checked at a temperature of 40° ± 5° with the engine running - according to the level in the control hole of the sump, the oil should flow out of it a little. It is quite difficult to find original German oil at a decent price, so most often after a major overhaul, either the original oil from Aisin - Toyota T-IV or non-original from Mobile - 3309 is poured in. In some modifications in recent years, they switched to fully synthetic oil like Toyota WS.

Car dealers claim that the oil lasts until the first overhaul, but after each hot summer for cars older than 5 years (to prolong youth), it is recommended to check the quality of the oil and, if the oil is in good condition, change it. The presence of chips-grains (larger than 1 mm) in the pan is an indication for diagnostics at the automatic transmission service. Masters recommend a partial oil change after the first 60-80 tkm, if the oil is dark, but still transparent. The cleaner the oil, the less risky it is to change. For machines with a heat exchanger, you should especially carefully monitor the cleanliness of the oil.

Automatic transmission features TF60SN are characteristic of most of the first 6-mortars and are associated with accelerated oil contamination by the friction lining of the torque converter, which operates in an unusually stressed lock-up clutch, and the motor at an unusually high temperature. The torque converter is repaired at each overhaul - 134001.

Pick up repair kits - press the button on the left.

Typical repair locations 09G (TF-61SN \TF-60SN):

A typical transmission overhaul of the 09 family is a bulkhead and replacement (except for the filter) of such consumables:

Repair kits for oil seals and gaskets 09G - no. 134002A approximately equivalent in quality and equipment for all order pickers: Transtek-ATOK-Precision. ATOK is ordered most often, followed by Precision. For 09K and 09M overlays are collected here - 134002.

With a set of gaskets and seals () together almost always change - Set of 4 pistons No. 134008 consisting of a pair of piston / retainer for problematic package K2 (C2) and retainers for packages K1 and K3.

Clutch Kit - No. 134003 . It is recommended to change the clutches as a whole set when the K2 package (below) has burned down to the adhesive layer and the rest of the friction linings are saturated with burnt oil.

Here, all packages work in an intelligent "slip mode", and the clutches soaked in burnt oil work with shocks or slippage, which leads either to uncomfortable shifting or to rapid wear of the components.

The clutches of the K2 package have been modified, therefore, before ordering the kit 134003, it is necessary to clarify the number of teeth of the clutch K2 134100 - 55 teeth or 60.

The next repair step in this chain is - Pump complete (134500 ).

Due to uneven wear and associated vibrations, the axle breaks, surfaces are abraded by chips, the Pump bushings 134034 rotate.

This problem was solved by installing a bearing instead of a bushing, but in our case this often leads to the fact that the owner who is late with the repair is forced to change the entire pump with the bearing (only BU - 134500).

The problem is exacerbated if the driver kickdowns the GT mode too often.

Set 5 pcs. #134030A - a repair view of 09G, who got to the operating table late.Bushings are the most broken and popular in replacement: Sun gear134052 , back cover ( 134066 ), Pump ( 134034 ) and package sleeve K3 (C3). For the back cover even releasedrepairbushing if the seat is badly broken by prolonged vibrations.

The process of a typical breakdown in this case can be described as follows:

1st stage. The torque converter clutch engages with slipping starting from the 3rd speed, without much waiting for the engine and transmission shaft speeds to equalize. At the same time, the locking friction actively wears out, contaminating the oil with a hard and sticky powder. This aggressive suspension enters the channels of the valve body and solenoids, clogs the spools, and prevents the springs and solenoids from working. It is expressed in jerks, delays in turning on and off packages, there is a difference between working in cold and hot oil.

2nd stage. Plungers and valves wedge and lack oil pressure in one of the packages, leaks, oil overflows form in worn places, the pressure in the clutch packages drops critically (the first - in packages K2 (C2) friction clutches with steel discs - 134100, 134120 - on the right and C1) .Which is already expressed in the wear (burning) of the clutch frictions and the box "does not pull". The valve body is cleaned and critically worn valves and accumulators are replaced.

Valve body problems are most often caused by worn valve body batteries.

Craftsmen with experience repair the hydraulic plate using a valve 15741-14K Sonnax (134741B ) to repair worn-out batteries. The valve has a seal that prolongs the life of the valves in dirty oil. The piston is universal and is suitable for all Aisin hydraulic blocks of 6-speed automatics. Replacing it solves problems with clutch slippage, shift delays. If this does not help, then proceed to checking the solenoids.

First childhood iron disease09G: - Sun gear bushings -# 134052 . If the oil in the sump is cloudy and there are yellow chips in it, then the reason is most likely eaten sun gear bushings, (Rear Sun Gear #134614)

The reason is attributed to the fact that this structurally most loaded unit does not receive enough lubrication, while the computer, during kickdown, loads it to the limit values by warping with side loads from the differential through the OutPut Gear 705. (diagram on the left)

Every time the VW owner presses the gas to the floor, loading the transmission to the maximum, the sun gear bushings are overloaded and the K1 clutches (1-2-3-4) start to burn. Long-term operation with such wear leads to the loss of the valve body (above). After 2006, when VW programmers edited the torque curve in the most loaded modes, the masters began to forget about this problem. In this case, it is usually sufficient to replace the bushings during reassembly.

First of all, the craftsmen check for wear the friction clutches (134100) and steel discs (134120) of the already mentioned clutchK24-5-6 (C2). Gaps in packages affect the quality of switching and iron wear. (on the left - a table of gaps in packages)

In a burnt package, you have to change - Piston K2 (C2) # 134960 and retainer 134980 .

Almost as often change retainer K1 # 134984 . The cause of this problem is solved by replacing the bushing of the rear housing cover: # 134066 .

Consumables of the K3 package - 134106 - 134126 burn less often.

Another cause of valve body malfunctions is the replacement (or repair) of exhausted solenoids. You should first check the wiring and electrical contacts.

Change 6 electroregulator solenoids SL 5pcs. (No. 90, 283, 282, 92, 93) + 1 TCC Solenoid (No. 91). Sometimes they decide to replace the solenoids bushings - 136419.

These linear (PWM) solenoids, which pass through the entire flow of dirty and hot oil, are the first to fail. Taiwan and the USA () have launched the production of the most popular replacement solenoids in 09G\ TF60-SN.

There is a modification of solenoids for the 1st generation of valve bodies (before 2005 - "large") and for the 2nd generation - a smaller body diameter. Solenoid kit - #134420.

Rostra solenoids are interchangeable with each other. Taiwanese solenoids are made as an exact copy of the original ones and are not interchangeable. Both need an adaptation after installation, which is easy to do with the PRNDL Lever and the gas pedal. Adaptation instructions are supplied with the solenoids. In recent years, there have been no complaints against Taiwanese solenoids, and Rostov solenoids have ceased to be bought. They can only be found on the market by the piece, when the inflated price is not so sensitive.

In most cases, replacing the solenoids with cleaning the valve body solves problems with the valve body. The valve body also has two long-lived On-Off solenoid valves S1-2 (solenoids 89 and 88, not supplied for repair and rarely ordered).

The purpose of the solenoids and what switching they are responsible for - see the ATSG manual. ()

The ISS and OSS Shaft Speed Sensors (Nos. 134436 and 134438) are rarely the cause of malfunctions, they are cleaned and flushed of oil.

Also found in the replacement and wiring loops - for 14 contacts - No. 134445 and for 6 contacts - 134446.

One of the difficult diagnoses of the valve body is the valve plate itself and / or one of its non-replaceable components is worn out. Then you have to change the entire valve plate (valve body \ Valve Body No. 134740).

There is an old modification of the valve body (with 2 thermal sensors 2003-2004) and new ones, the model after 2005 without thermal sensors. In addition, there are differences in the type of cooling - with a heat exchanger and with a remote radiator. Another late upgrade is the use of 2nd generation solenoids with a smaller body size.

Repair and cleaning of the valve body is carried out in all cases when the automatic transmission arrives for repair. Often, along with it, preventive replacement of bushings (or re-plugging) of linear solenoids SL 136419 is carried out. In practice, the valve bodies of the first years of production were a "consumable" if the owner did not protect it by lowering the operating temperature to at least 100 - 110 degrees (). Now the valve bodies are adjusted with less freedom and they are ordered less often for replacement. Most of the time it's being repaired. Switching problems are usually caused not by plate wear, but by increased clearances in K1, K2, K3 packages.

The box adapts to the driving style, there are various ways to reset the adaptation.

Planetary gear rear. -№ 134584 .

The problem with it is explained mainly by turning “dry” bushings. There are unpredictable problems with planetaries, when metal filings travel through the machine for months and "harm" hard-working nodes.

The bushing of this planet is not supplied separately and it is extremely difficult to replace it in the "field" conditions, so you have to change the entire planet assembly. The problem is quite rare.

Popular replacement - Pump seals #134070 and axle shafts: #134076 134077 .

For "economic repair" a set of Teflon rings is often ordered - 134199.

Pump sleeve (46.9x43.9x14.8) - 134034A . Change if wear reaches 0.10 mm.

Clutch drum C1(K1) - Forward. Often the wear of clutches K1 leads to shocks when switching. The factory clearance is 1.4 mm. With an increase in the gap to 1.8mm, shocks and shocks become noticeable. Such clutches are replaced to stop the chain reaction of wear.

Long-term operation of the automatic transmission with sawdust in the sump further leads to the combustion of the clutches of the K1 package (-No. 134108) and steel discs (134128) and then to the replacement of everythingDrum (clutch basket) K1(C1) - No. 134554 .The problem is that the drum is machined with a retaining ring, the backlash provokes a further drop in pressure and combustion of the friction clutches. Breaks retainer 134984 .

The original piston ... 964 (early years of production) does not have an external tooth, which leads to slippage. There is a variant of the K1 Piston No. 134964 - with a tooth ( on right), similar to the thrust disk, ( in this design, the piston also serves as a support for friction clutches) and after installing such a piston, this problem does not recur. For machines with maximum torque, it is recommended to change this piston if the clutches of the K1 drum are changed. The problem with the 964 piston is a childhood disease of the first years of production.

One of the typical problems of 6-speed automatic transmissions of the beginning of the century is the gas turbine engine. It works with a wide "slip mode". Blocking pressure is supplied by a non-conventional solenoid valve, and a solenoid-electric regulator (PWM - ). This mode increases the efficiency of the car, but several times accelerates the wear of the friction lining of the gas turbine engine.

In summer, in order to combat the rapid wear of the lining, the thermal sensors of some machines inform the computer (TCM) that a critical temperature of 130 ° is reached and the "slip mode" of the gas turbine engine can be canceled by the computer.

If you keep the cleanliness and oil temperature in this automatic transmission up to 100 degrees, then the TF-61SN will go forever.

Automatic transmission 09G - the second case when the Aisinovskaya box comes to overhaul so often and early ( first - ). It is said that this transmission:

- "first pancake" by 6 steps, (with an extended period of "childhood illnesses")

Went through the hands of different parents. The box was made by one (Japanese), and the cooling system, aggregation with engine and adjustment of the Control Unit - another (Germans).

The first real competitor to manual transmission and DSG, and the settings allow you to drive aggressively and close to the limiting moments.

The cost and availability of the items you need can be checked in the online store (button top right) clicking to search details number on orange background.

On which cars this family of automatic transmissions was installed:

This box turned out to be so popular that many sub-modifications of 09G were developed for engines from 1.4 to 3.5 with different gear ratios and, accordingly, computer settings for the production of VAG cars around the world, so the data in the table becomes outdated every month.

The described method is suitable for all modifications of the Aisin 09G/K/M automatic transmission (such as KGV, KGJ, MFZ, JUH, KPH and others) installed on 1.6, 2.0 and 1.8TSI engines Seat, Audi A3, VW Polo, VW Golf, VW Passat and others, including automatic transmissions of the latest revisions, such as QDM, QNQ coming with CWVA 1.6 MPI ICE (Octavia A7, Rapid 2016).

List of required spare parts:

ATF- at your choice, any JWS3309 specification fluid, as well as T-IV or optional - any compatible with it (including multi-fluids) (For new-style boxes - read the corresponding records)
For one partial replacement with the removal of the pan - you need 4 liters of ATF (rounded up) then we multiply by the number of such cycles, at the moment I consider the “double” partial replacement to be optimal if you did not change the ATP 30 or more thousand km ago.

For 1.6 - ideally it is recommended to change every 20-25K with one partial replacement or 40-50K with a double replacement
For 1.8T - ideally it is recommended to change every 15-20K with one partial change or every 30K with a double change
(but better more often with one partial than less often with a double replacement)

Filter original- 09G325429A (suitable for KGV, KGJ, JUH, KPH and similar boxes - tested) i.e. for PQ35 platform boxes (!)
Filter original- 09G325429 - for MFZ, KGG, QAW i.e. for PQ25 platform boxes (!)
Gasket original- 09G 321 370
sealing ring- 09D 321 181B
Cork- WHT 000 310 A
Bolts M6x1x21 automatic transmission tray (8 pcs) - WHT 000 309

There are two different filter options for TF60-SN/09G.
The filter is recommended to be changed at every automatic transmission oil (ATF) change. The volume of transmission fluid to be filled with a complete replacement is approximately 7 liters. The volume filled in during a standard (partial) shift, respectively, is somewhat less. The mileage between partial oil changes is quite standard, i.e. no more than 60–80 thousand km.

In some 2004-2005 VW models, oil cooling was organized by installing a cooler-heat exchanger on the automatic transmission, which, like in most automatic transmissions equipped with heat exchangers, leads to the risk of overheating. In these automatic transmissions, it is recommended to change the oil and filter more often - i.e. after every 40-60 thousand km. In addition, it is strongly recommended to install an additional automatic transmission cooling radiator.

On more modern versions of the automatic transmission, the cooling system is made differently and is devoid of overheating problems:

Only one point can be considered the advantage of such a system - convenient transportation of automatic transmission with ATF already filled (from the factory) and preservation of the working volume of ATF in case of accidents (the ATF circuit does not pass through an external radiator, which often loses its tightness upon impact).

In order to carry out a replacement on the so-called "old generations" automatic transmission 09G (which use ATF code G 055 025 A2),
need to purchase Automatic transmission filter(here I immediately note that (according to Elcats.ru) the filters for boxes with the index KGV and KGJ are different, BUT in fact it turned out that both KGJ and KGV have the same filter):

Filter 09G325429A goes for boxes KGV, KGJ, JUH, KPH
Filter 09G325429 installed in box MFZ, KGG, QAW

In general, the difference between these two filters lies in the thickness and shape of the liquid intake hole:

Next, we put a new filter (or tighten the old one), put a new pan gasket on the pan and screw the pan into place, screw the level tube into place. Do not forget to observe the tightening torques of bolts, tubes and plugs.

2) Volkswagen has a special system for filling fluid, consisting of an adapter that is screwed into the automatic transmission pan, and a special system for filling cans of ATF fluid on the other side. The can turns over, rises above the level of the automatic transmission and the fluid also flows into the automatic transmission, and the system involves squeezing the can by hand to increase pressure. Some OD mechanics, in order not to put pressure, can connect a hose from the compressor to the tube and speed up the process of pumping ATP into the box.

You need to fill in 200 ml more than it was drained, and then we check:

3) Checking the liquid level.
Before the procedure, some conditions must be met (according to ELSA):
- The gearbox should not be in emergency running.
- The car must be strictly level.
- Control lever in „P“, start the engine at idle speed.
- Air conditioning and heating off.

ATF temperature at the start of the test should not be higher than 30 °C, if necessary cool down gearbox first.
- ATF temperature is read by diagnostics.
- The ATF level changes depending on the temperature of the ATF.
- Overfilling and underfilling disrupt the operation of the checkpoint(but believe me, here VAG is very disingenuous)

The ATF level is correct if, at an ATF temperature at the ATF control screw between 35° and 45°C (in hot countries 50°C), there is a slight leakage of liquid (due to an increase in the liquid level when warming up).

We start the engine and let it idle, and when the ATF temperature reaches 35 ° C, unscrew the ATF control screw -A- (1), while the sealing ring for the ATF control screw must be replaced.
