Well, maybe I'm just used to spacious cars. Long hood, dimensions will have to tinker a bit. The review back seemed to me not important because of the unusual shape of the body. Behind the ceiling is low, it is not very much. But if you raise your head up there is a panoramic roof and you can see the sky in the clouds or stars (if at night) through the glass. I have a complete set (only there is no cruise, there was one on the Civic). Excellent full-time music, subwoofer, DVD, panorama, leather electric seats, etc. Great box and engine. Of course, it might be nice to add strength, but I think that it’s the best for the track and city driving. Fuel consumption is very moderate. I got 7-10 liters, but as you know, if you wish, you can run into 15. Moderately stiff suspension (18th wheels, of course, play a role). Our roads are not good everywhere, but there have never been any breakdowns. Handling, when compared with my former Civic is worse, he somehow behaved sharper on the road. The capacity of the cabin, of course, is not so great, beauty requires sacrifice, what to do. A driver over 190 cm tall will have to prop up the roof with his head. Well, in a nutshell, that's all.

In the end, as a result of long disputes and discussions purchased this car! Most likely, the decisive factor was that I really wanted to transfer, finally, to the left wheel. On our domestic roads, this car looks like an alien from outer space, well, very unusual.

Well, for those. service or some serious points, I can’t write in detail yet, I’ll tell you about my first impressions for now.
At first I was impressed by the GDI engine, but after climbing the Internet, having obtained information about the Hyundai engines and how they accept our domestic gasoline, I realized that you can use it. When I got into the car for the first time, I was surprised by the unusualness of the seats (in Recaro style, but, unfortunately, less comfortable). Also impressed by the hard (too) gas pedal. The problem was solved by turning on the economy mode. It slows the engine down a bit. Very high quality music - pleased. The tuner and the stitched navigation system pleased even more. When landing in this "spaceship" all the seats are automatically adjusted, with such comfort you don't even want to get out of the car, especially after you get used to it. Although the engine size is small (1.6 liters) and the power is 140 hp, my baby, on her 18-radius wide, low-profile wheels, leaves other cars far behind and, moreover, consumes gasoline very economically. 6 automatic transmission. Accelerates quickly enough, and before you blink your eye, the speedometer indicates 120 km * h. But although it provides for a maximum speed of up to 240 km / h, in reality it will not do more than 160.
Automatic thinks and switches very quickly! I was very worried about the 18th casting, I was afraid that the car would drive too hard on our roads. And now directly about the Hyundai Veloster itself. The car was purchased from an authorized dealer, the entire registration with the traffic police took me only 2-3 hours. As for seat adjustments. On the driver's seat, they are all electric, while the passenger's are manual. What I did not like in the cabin is the glass, or rather the plastic of the dashboard, after the first wash, when it gets into the sun, you can see scratches. When driving on gravel, the headrest of the front passenger seat, if raised to the maximum, then rattles. There is a cricket lurking somewhere in the trunk area, but so far I can’t find it, because it is heard only periodically. There is also a very convenient thing in the cabin - support for the belt in the driver's seat, because after you sit in the seat, it is not easy to reach the rack due to the width of the door.
I have no time to look at the sky while driving, so the panoramic roof is unnecessary. Passengers, however, like it, they say it's cool, especially if you turn off the display at night, you can see the stars. The trunk for such a small car is roomy, and if you fold the rear seats, you can even cram an adult bike into it. I did not check it myself, but I visually estimated, I think it will fit.
I don't know what else to add... multimedia is on top, I'm not a big music lover, but I can appreciate that the sound is excellent, the presence of various inputs allows you to connect everything you can. Connecting a Bluetooth phone to a car is also a matter of a couple of minutes. In almost one minute, I transferred the entire contact system to the car's memory and now, through voice search, I can call the phone without touching it at all. But, this will happen at the testing stage, so no one should suffer. The 1.6 MPI torque is 158 Nm, which is already available at 3500 rpm. In general, if you look at the torque graph, then even at 1200-1500 rpm the driver gets more than 120 Nm. The first hundred will be exchanged in 8.4 seconds on the mechanics, on the robot it will be 0.1 seconds longer. It is noteworthy that the seven-speed robot with two clutches is available only in this configuration.
The atmospheric version is equipped with a 6-speed manual or a similar automatic. In any configuration, the buyer will receive exclusively front-wheel drive. Of course, Hyundai is not positioning the Veloster as something supernatural, it's just a quick hatchback for everyday use.
I must say, the power units are quite voracious, despite the fact that they are slightly modernized. For aspirated on the machine, all the same 98 liters of AI-95 in the city, or 5.8 liters on the highway, are required. It is strange that the manufacturer was already finishing it there, but it did not affect a single value at all. Thus, the power reserve for this hatchback is only 714 kilometers. Five years ago, this figure would have made a positive impression, but now, even with a power of 132 horses, this is a bit too much. Let's put it down to the automatic transmission.
The turbocharged engine has even more appetites. With a robotic gearbox, it will require no more than 7.1 liters on the track every 100 kilometers. To be honest, it's hard to believe.
