Initially, all Mondeos were produced only in Belgium. But already in 2009, sedans were assembled near St. Petersburg. They are produced here to this day. Station wagons and hatchbacks were discontinued last year.

The car is unpopular among car thieves: the opened Mondeo is more of a misunderstanding than a rule.

FOR TASTE AND COLOR

Mondeo was presented with the widest range of engines. The younger, gasoline "aspirated" with a volume of 1.6 liters has proven itself well on the "Fusions" and "Focuses" of the second generation. But for "Mondeo" it is rather weak. To drive dynamically, you have to spin it up to high speeds, which significantly reduces the resource. "Mondeo" with this engine is common in a taxi, where he gets how much in vain. As a result, the timing belt often does not live up to the scheduled replacement. And the maintainability of this motor tends to zero: there are no spare parts - only a short block (cylinder block assembly) or the entire engine. Although one taxi driver from Cheboksary managed to drive 350,000 km on it. The secret is in a quiet ride and a halved (up to 7500 km) oil change interval. Moreover, the block head died, and the condition of the cylinders and piston was good.

The 1.6-liter engine often leaks variable phase clutch control valves (VCT). Engine oil flows through them quite quickly, and the control lamp lights up late - when less than a liter remains. If the driver did not notice this in time, the unit is kaput. And the valve cover gasket is also leaking, but this is not so bad for the engine.

Atmospheric gasoline engines with a volume of 2.0 and 2.3 liters ("Dyuratek-HE") are the most common. Sometimes they are characterized by high oil consumption and are less reliable than the 1.6-liter, but in general they live longer due to quieter operation. Repair is not provided by the manufacturer, but you can find non-original or Mazda spare parts (the latter have a longer resource). The timing chain survives a mileage of up to 250,000 km. Often, cheating servicemen assure her of her imminent death - do you hear, they say, a roar? And it is actually produced by swirl flaps in the intake manifold. This usually happens on a run of 70,000 km. The reason is the increased backlash of the damper shaft from the side of the attachment. Previously, they sold a special repair kit, now they are increasingly changing the manifold assembly. Competent servicemen treat the disease by installing machined support washers. By the way, these motors also often leak valve cover gaskets.

A rather rare five-cylinder 2.5-liter turbo engine came from Volvo. He was also put on the previous Focuses ST and Kugi. As long as the motor was one hundred percent Swedish, there were no worries with it. But as soon as Ford had a hand in it, sores appeared: the timing belt was exfoliating, oil seals were leaking both because of their wear and because of the breakdown of the oil separator of the crankcase ventilation system.

The supercharged "eco-boosts" (2.0 l, 200 and 240 hp), which replaced the 2.5-liter Volvo engine on restyled cars, burned out the piston at first due to detonation and low-quality fuel. Some owners managed to change the motor under warranty as much as twice - these "ecoboosts" also have no maintainability. After the appearance of the updated firmware of the engine control unit, the disease receded. There were no leaks either. The most common culprit is the rear crankshaft oil seal.

For gasoline engines, the manufacturer recommends 5W‑20 oil and, alternatively, 5W‑30. When using the first one (it has a lower viscosity) after 40,000 km, knocks are sometimes heard in the head of the block on a cold engine, so servicemen recommend filling in only 5W‑30. (By the way, only such oil is recommended for diesel engines.) The long-suffering 1.6‑liter engine is most susceptible to this problem. With an interval of 40,000 km on all gasoline engines, it is imperative to clean the throttle pipe. Please note that the "Check Engine" light may not come on even if the assembly is very dirty. It is advisable to flush the nozzles: on atmospheric engines every 80,000 km, and on supercharged engines - after 150,000 km.

The maintainability of Mondeo diesel engines, developed by the French concern Peugeot-Citroen, is high, any original spare parts are available. If, for example, parts of fuel equipment under the Ford brand are only assembled, then French counterparts can be ordered separately. By 140,000–170,000 km, high-pressure fuel pumps and fuel injectors fail. Fuel pump wear products clog them so that it is useless to clean. Unfortunately, there is no prevention. The first call is a malfunction of the main pressure pump control solenoid. Symptom: Difficulty starting the engine. Replacing only the solenoid will not protect against the imminent death of the pump. The fuel filter is enough for 20,000-30,000 km. When replacing, it is important to manually bleed the system - long-term dry running will kill the high-pressure fuel pump. The pumps of supercharged gasoline engines are just as sensitive.

Diesel particulate filter regeneration usually occurs when driving for a long time at high speeds. If the car does not leave the boundaries of the metropolis, the corresponding operation can be done in the service, in manual mode. Due to a clogged particulate filter, not only does the dynamics of the car fall, but the expensive EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation valve), which is not reliable anyway, dies faster. It sticks in the open position - and the car starts to smoke.

On all engines, except for the 2.5-liter supercharged, after 80,000 km of run, the right upper support dies. This can be determined even visually - the motor sags and rests on a metal bracket. The resource of the lower support (about 160,000 km) depends on the timely replacement of the worn right one, but the upper left one is almost eternal.

The longevity of the turbine depends on the consciousness of the owners. If you let the unit cool down at idle after a trip, then it will last for 250,000 km. Traces of oil in the intake system are an absolutely normal phenomenon: any turbine spits out at least a little lubrication. In cars with diesel engines and "eco-boosts" that have been in an accident, some time after the frontal impact, the supercharger shaft is destroyed. Having survived the deformation, it breaks at high rotational speeds.

Once every three years (or every 60,000 km) it is necessary to remove and flush the engine and air conditioner radiators. Saving on washing threatens the death of motors due to overheating. Many owners catch on too late. First of all, all rubber parts die and piston rings lie down - coked deposits are to blame. You can try to save the rings, but you need to do it quickly. In the cylinders, through the holes for the candles, injector flushing fluid or another similar solution is poured.

Often, due to the high temperature of the engine radiator, the fan control unit located on its body suffers. Because of this, the electric motor may not work in all speed ranges or even fail. Unfortunately, the unit is only sold as a set. It will be very lucky if there is a separate block from the fan during disassembly.

GEAR RATIO

Mechanical boxes are well known for Fusions and Focuses of the second generation. For a 1.6-liter engine, only the IB5 five-speed is available. On the conveyor, different clutch kits were installed on it. Until about 2010, there were less massive disks, they are enough for 100,000–120,000 km. Later, thicker ones went, with a resource of up to 150,000 km. In both cases, the weak point is the release bearing. Due to a lack of lubrication (this often happens even with original parts), it quickly starts to make noise and gets upside down. As a result, the clutch pedal becomes stiff, it is difficult to shift gears, and the disc wears out faster.

Reliable 5-speed “mechanics” MT75 is available only for gasoline 2-liter “aspirated”. Based on this unit, a six-speed version was made for a 2.5-liter supercharged engine and diesel engines. To extend the life of all manual transmissions, simply change the oil after 100,000 km or at the same time as changing the clutch. The right drive oil seal often leaks, and this is the trouble with all Ford boxes.

Front oxygen sensors live on gasoline engines 120,000–140,000 km. The quality of the fuel does not particularly affect their life expectancy.

Front oxygen sensors live on gasoline engines 120,000–140,000 km. The quality of the fuel does not particularly affect their life expectancy.

The six-speed "automatic" "Aisin-AW21" is paired with diesel engines and a 2.3-liter gasoline engine. It is also installed on Mazda and Volvo, but for some reason it is naughty on Mondeo. Problems with gear changes occur when the EGR recirculation valve malfunctions, which affects the change in engine torque (the gearbox control unit calculates the shifts using it). In severe operating conditions (hot climate, driving in traffic jams), the “machine” does not have enough cooling - shock switching occurs. The valve body and the torque converter lock-up clutch suffer the most. If you catch yourself in time, then a box worth 150,000 rubles can be saved by installing an additional radiator. Extend the life of the unit and change the oil every 60,000 km.

The Powershift robotic box with a wet clutch is paired only with Ecobust motors. There are several times fewer problems with it than with the dry counterpart on the latest generation Focuses. The main thing is to monitor the condition of the oil and change it every 70,000 km. Shift problems occur when the clutch and synchronizers of the first and second gears are heavily worn. Although with careful operation, these boxes regularly serve up to 200,000 km. Only the clutch is supplied as spare parts. To replace, you will need as many as four special tools, so you should not contact random services.

AROUND YES ABOUT

At the steering mechanism, the support sleeve of the pair of gears - the rack that regulates the gap is made ... of plastic. Over time, it deforms and the knot begins to knock. Conscientious servicemen will not breed the owner for a new rail, but simply replace the plastic plug with a home-made aluminum one. According to the factory technology, in order to change the steering rods, you need to remove the rack or fix its shaft. The second option is very risky: turning the shaft can kill the rail. Assembly leaks are associated with side impacts to the wheels.

Front suspension "Mondeo" raises no objections. Shock absorbers and thrust bearings run 100,000 km. When replacing, the correct orientation of the supports is important, otherwise they will not last long. The resource of wheel bearings is about 120,000 km. Ball arms can be changed separately. The stabilizer struts are enough for 60,000-100,000 km. The outboard bearing of the right drive is enough for 120,000 km, after which a hum appears, like that of a hub. CV joints run 150,000–200,000 km. The first problems with the rear suspension begin no earlier than 150,000 km - these are breaks in the silent blocks of the lower transverse levers.

The cars are nicely painted. Traces of corrosion on the body will indicate a low-quality restoration repair. The wiring for the front and rear parking sensors is routed inside the bumpers. It is not protected in any way from dirt and reagents, which is why it quickly rots. In sedans, after three or four years of operation, the trunk lid wiring harness breaks in winter when opened at a large angle. The way out is to buy a European harness with softer wire insulation at the disassembly.

The engine control unit is placed unsuccessfully - on the left side of the front bumper, on the washer reservoir. All of its plastic protection must be intact, otherwise the connectors will begin to rot - you will have to buy a new or used unit for 15,000-40,000 rubles.

On cars with a smart charging system, it is important to use the appropriate Ford battery and alternators when replacing, otherwise the electrician will start throwing tricks. To determine whether such a system is installed (the operation of the generator and the charging of the battery is controlled by the "brain" of the engine) on the car, you can use the charging sensor on the negative terminal of the battery.

maintenance regulations

For machines with the same engine, but different years of manufacture, the maintenance schedule may vary - for example, the timing belt replacement interval. It must be found on the manufacturer's technical website - www.etis.ford.com (it is freely available).

TOTAL

Ford Mondeo has good value for money. But a long and carefree life of the car is guaranteed only with careful attention to it.

We thank the FORDEXPRESS service for their help in preparing the material.

Size matters, especially in the automotive industry. Sometimes cars step over the classes, sometimes they pull the whole class behind them. For example, Toyota Camry was once the heiress of a small model Carina, not the largest in the D class. Now it is E ++, which competes in size with the limousines of the past, and the VW Golf is now larger than the third generation Passat, and the VW Polo has long outgrown the first generations of the “big brother”.

So the fourth-generation Ford Mondeo "growth" and noticeably added in all directions compared to its predecessor, so much so that it seems to have moved into a different class. The bet on the size turned out to be correct, this made it possible to gain a serious advantage over the traditional rival in the face of Opel Vectra, and at the same time hope for unification with the American counterpart, the Fusion model in the future. Since 2005, it has been produced on its own platform, since European technologies turned out to be too expensive, and the body size was insufficient.

The Mondeo Mk 4 platform is the well-known Ford-Mazda EUCD platform, on which such excellent cars as, and S 60 II, Range Rover Evoque were released. In general, the technological backlog of a modest Ford is very good - there was something to brag about, in addition to size.

Ford Mondeo" 2007–14

With all its new merits, the Mondeo has remained true to the brand's core values of practicality and low price. Buyers were offered the whole set of bodies, a sedan, station wagon and a very large hatchback. The choice of engines was noticeably expanded: 1.6 engines reappeared, since they added power, while the weight of the car did not increase so much. But basically, the cars were equipped with well-known engines of the Mazda L series, they are also Duratec -HE with a volume of 2.0 and 2.3 liters.

Diesel engines for the Mondeo were issued in abundance - from 1.6 to 2.2 liters and a power of 100 to 200 hp. With. But the V 6 engines on this generation of Mondeo are gone. At the top of the range were five-cylinder Volvo 2.5-liter turbo engines, after restyling replaced by new Mazda 2.0 engines with direct injection and turbocharging, better known as EcoBoost.

3 / 3

They didn’t offend the car with automatic transmissions either: all engines, except for the weakest 1.6 and the “Volvo” “five”, were equipped with automatic transmissions, and after restyling, the latest Powershift preselectives were paired with ordinary “automatic machines”. The kinship with Volvo had the best effect on the quality of the passive safety of the body, protection against frontal and side impacts was no lower than that of premium classmates.

The number of additional active and passive safety systems has increased significantly. Frontal and side airbags were supplemented with side curtains, and airbags for the driver's legs were also available in a number of markets. In EuroNCAP tests, the car received the highest rating for driver and passenger protection and two stars for pedestrian safety. It would seem that there are no shortcomings, but this does not happen. The car clearly lacked prestige, and some minor flaws tarnished a positive reputation. Let's take a look at everything in detail.

Body and interior

The body, or rather its dimensions and strength, is one of the undoubted advantages of the car. But you can't say it's perfect. For example, the lack of lockers, layers of mastic and the banal thickness of the paintwork make the body very vulnerable. On the top, it suffers from scratches from trees, cats, and even the nails of passengers - they scratch the area around the door handles. Rust is already creeping out in the wheel arches, bottom and sills with unpleasant red flakes. It appears on poorly protected seams of the body, in places of “sandblasting” and contact between metal and body plastic.

Ford Mondeo Hatchback" 2007–10

Felt fenders, popularly called "felt boots", are distinguished by a short service life - they quickly lose their rigidity and sag. Most often, heavy dirt, rare car washes and sleet in winter are to blame, but the root of evil is still on the designers - they obviously neglected the attachment points and the frame for such a vulnerable part. Without a locker in the car, it becomes noisy, and the arches begin to bloom with triple strength.

The appearance of the car suffers not only because of scratches. The "Ford" emblems peel off, the bumpers sag, the headlights and the windshield "blur" very quickly. On the thresholds, the paint can simply peel off in layers, and if you do not paint the area within a couple of months, it will also become covered with rust.

In general, the beauty of the car is not very durable, at the age of nine, some specimens already resemble beaten grandfathers with gout and senile spots all over the body. However, the bulk of the car is in an acceptable condition, but if the body is not taken care of, then the damage can become irreversible. Usually the car needs at least anticorrosive internal cavities and tint of problem areas.

Despite the enhanced filtration system, the problems are the same here, and they are associated with a large amount of contaminants in the oil, its high temperature and severe wear of the control solenoids. But the resource of solenoids, pistons and clutches is limited, besides, box seals and bearings are also very sensitive to oil contamination.

A box leak usually does not indicate a problem with an inexpensive rubber product, but a serious contamination of the insides and an upcoming bulkhead. There are few services so far, which official dealers use with might and main - their repair price is at least three to four times higher and sometimes it’s easier to buy a new box than to repair an old one. Many unfortunate craftsmen who have become adept at simpler units are ready to take advantage of a similar situation, but the complexity of the design leaves them no chance, and after their repair, often the box will never come to life.

Buying a car with such a transmission, if you do not know where to service it, is definitely not worth it. In practice, the resource of the box ranges from 100 to 250 thousand kilometers. The main consumables are solenoids (by the way, compatible with those used in the DSG DQ 250), a clutch kit and filters. If you often change the oil and carefully manage traction, then the box can prove to be very resourceful, but for some reason, for most drivers, everything is not so good.

Motors

Mondeo Mk 4 engines are familiar to all Ford car enthusiasts. Motors 1.6 of the Zetec -SE series are the same as on. Motors 2.0 and 2.3 are familiar from the past. I repeat, these are very successful engines, with a good resource and inexpensive repairs. They have drawbacks, and in the Mondeo an additional risk factor is the tight layout of the engine compartment and very dense radiators that clog easily. In addition, there is no temperature sensor here - the manufacturer bashfully hides that the thermal regime of the engines is very intense, and often the engines operate at temperatures above 115 ° C.

It is highly recommended to install tuning firmware with a different fan control algorithm and a “cold” thermostat at 85-90 °C. This tuning reduces the tendency of these engines to leak oil under the hood. And yet - it seriously reduces the chances of losing antifreeze, which leaves through the automatic transmission heat exchanger tubes and the expansion tank. The main problems of motors are bad rubber tubes, leaks in seals and seals, and weak ignition modules,

The newer EcoBoost units don't really differ much from the older ones. Other cylinder heads, direct injection and turbocharging do not make the engine completely different. By the way, the operating temperature of these engines is less than that of atmospheric ones, and they have fewer leaks. But on our gasoline, engines are very sensitive to fuel quality, and the degree of forcing 2.0 engines is so high that the 240-horsepower version often fails with damage to the piston group and scuffing of the liners. Options for 200-203 liters. With. at the same time, they can be considered a very, very reliable option.

Under the hood of Ford Mondeo Turnier" 2010–14

But do not look at the data sheet, a lot of inexpensive firmware has been made for these engines with a power of 270 to 300+ forces from Rambach, Beletsky and other chip tuners, so 200 hp engines. With. they could well depart for a long time with a limit of 300 forces and a moment of more than 450 Nm. What this is fraught with, I already wrote in detail in the material about. In general, be vigilant - without instrumental diagnostics, such a motor can bring not joy, but a lot of grief. So far, the engines are relatively new, but they have been used for a long time on the Mazda CX -7 and Mazda MPS, and we can say that the resource has dropped significantly, and the resource of the piston group and chains has also decreased. So, in addition to a quick failure, we can expect a banal “oil burner” and stretching of the timing. And don't forget about the maintenance cost of direct injection fuel equipment.

Under the hood of Ford Mondeo Hatchback "2007–10

Diesel engines of French origin, PS A DW 10 and PSA DW 12, make up the bulk of diesel engines on the Mondeo. When operating on low-viscosity oils, there are problems, the liners of the motor and turbine lift up, oil burnout appears due to wear of the rings. But already on oils of viscosity SAE 30 and SAE 40, most of the difficulties were gone. But the fuel equipment is still considered to be superbly capricious, and these engines are far from serviced everywhere. In any case, in the services of Peugeot or Land Rover with mechanical problems or the injection system, they will sort it out much faster than in the Ford one.

What to choose?

Does size matter to you? Is comfort more important than prestige? If the answer to both questions is yes, then Mondeo-4 is created for you. True, it is better to buy it with simple motors and gearboxes, find a better package, and the body is as well-groomed as possible. There are enough shortcomings, but the manufacturer made an inexpensive car, you need to come to terms with this.

Pictured: Ford Mondeo Hatchback "2007–10

And the Mondeo Mk 4 is beautiful - though not as ceremonial as the heir, but still attracts the eye to this day. It is not “for the soul” at all, it is for the body. Well, for the passengers. Of course, if you really care about them.

Would you buy yourself a Mondeo 4?

Good reliability, optimal value for money - all this makes the car an excellent choice for budget driving. At the same time, Mondeo can often be found in the secondary market. Immediately there are doubts about how good it is - why sell a great car?

The review will be useful for those who, when choosing a car, look towards the secondary market. This is a really good way to save on buying a car or buy more for the same budget. In order not to be mistaken in the acquisition, one should compare in more detail the phenomenon of the status of the best family car and the frequent appearance on the secondary market.

History of the Ford Mondeo

The model was developed as a family car - small, simple and economical, available to a wide market. From the French "monde" is translated as "peace". The development of the car took place in the branches of the Ford concern around the world, but the bulk of the work was done in Germany. The plan with the release of an affordable car partially failed - by the standards of the United States, the Mondeo was too expensive for a compact car, and its dimensions were at the expense of comfort.

One way or another, the Ford Mondeo was to the taste of the Europeans. As for the American market, it was no longer supplied there shortly after the creation of the model. In 2000, a new generation appeared, whose representatives became larger and, therefore, more expensive - such an alignment of events would not be to the taste of US drivers. For America and Canada, a special line of budget Ford Fusion cars was released. From the very beginning of the release, the Mondeo failed to become a worldwide machine.

With the advent of the third generation, Mondeo ceased to belong to the compact class, and after a while lost the title of family. It turns out that drivers who still call the family model are mistaken.

Should I Buy a Used Ford Mondeo?

This difficult question can only be answered by comparing all the pros and cons of the car. It should be borne in mind that each used model is very different from any other and has its own history of operation, so a decision in each situation should be made individually. One way or another, the entire line has characteristics that are pronounced both in a new car and in a used car in any condition. It is about them that you can talk without fear of making a mistake.

Advantages of a used Ford Mondeo

The most common generation of Mondeo in the secondary market is the fourth. It was produced between 2007 and 2010 and differed from older models by an increased level of comfort. At the same time, it was the fourth version that came close to the moment when the Ford Mondeo began to turn into a business class car - this has gradually happened from the very moment of release.

Among the positive features of the Mondeo, a wide range of engines can be noted. This, however, is far from always possible to turn in favor of the buyer in the secondary market - there you have to be content with the available models. One way or another, there is a chance to find an offer with both gasoline and diesel engines, the power ratings of which range from 125-220 horsepower. Engine capacity can be from 1.6 liters to 2.5 liters.

There are two types of gearboxes on the Mondeo - a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. The latter can be found in the configuration of far from every model - they were installed only on options with a 2.3-liter gasoline engine and a power of 161 hp. with., as well as diesel engines with a volume of 2 liters and a capacity of 130 liters. With. Thus, to get a Mondeo with an automatic transmission, you will have to carefully search among the ads.

The brake system of the car is quite sensitive and responds sharply to pressing the pedal. You need to be especially careful with this, especially when cornering. In general, the course of the Mondeo is as smooth as it allows - it cannot provide much comfort. The long wheelbase of the car, coupled with a three-link suspension, can almost completely hide the shortcomings of the transmission. A used Ford Mondeo handles well even on a dirt road, which is an important feature for Russian roads.

The body of the Mondeo is resistant to corrosion, and in general the car is very reliable. Its units rarely break, and if it does, the damage is usually minor. If the previous owner treated Ford well, then he will not be prone to frequent breakdowns.

The appearance of later models (the fourth generation can also be attributed to them) can be attributed to business class cars. The interior design is also quite rich and tasteful - soft plastic, leather seats, good functionality in the form of power accessories, climate control and other useful options.

Another significant advantage of the Mondeo is its price in the secondary market. Comparing it with competitors - Toyota Camry and Volkswagen Passat - it can be noted that Ford has an excellent price advantage.

Disadvantages of a used Ford Mondeo

As any car should be, the Mondeo also has negative qualities, and significant ones. Its shortcomings can completely save the driver from the desire to purchase a car.

One of the first negative qualities that will interfere with all further operation should be called fuel consumption. And the older the used Ford, the greater this figure. This applies to all types of engines - gasoline and diesel, with low and high power. At the same time, the Mondeo engine, created using European technologies, does not allow poor quality mixtures to be poured into the fuel system, so there are no options for saving fuel.

Trouble is also the need to constantly monitor the oil level in the engine. It needs to be topped up frequently, as with a low, albeit sufficient, oil sensor does not respond to liquid, showing “zero”. A warning about the complete absence of oil will be taken by surprise - in the middle of a busy highway or away from service centers and car dealerships. It is better not to allow situations when the liquid runs out at all - the Mondeo engine, like most other cars, is very sensitive.

Another disadvantage that will make you pay a large amount for maintenance is the high cost of repairs. This applies primarily to minor damage or scheduled work - replacing gaskets and filters, and so on. Mondeo was not focused on minor repairs initially, therefore, to replace the liners, it is necessary to reinstall the entire cylinder block - Ford does not accept "non-native" units, which, in turn, cannot be installed in parts.

An important criterion is its gearbox. In Mondeo, an automatic transmission is not designed for repairs, oil changes and other actions - most problems can only be solved by completely replacing the automatic transmission. This suggests that the mechanical version is much more preferable.

The front suspension of the Ford Mondeo is another weak point of the car. In used models, it may be of inadequate quality, as it was damaged during operation. A specific knock during a trip will make it clear for sure that the suspension needs to be repaired. In addition, simply replacing the units, even if the original ones, is not enough. A complete reinstall may be required. In addition, the Mondeo has weak stabilizer links that often need to be replaced.

The rather low ground clearance and long wheelbase are not the best off-road characteristics. The car is almost not suitable for trips to the village or out of town. The large wheelbase makes the body creak when driving.

Another weakness of the Mondeo are the doors. With strong rear cotton, they cling to the racks, due to which the body is covered with cracks, which in the long run leads to severe corrosion. When buying a used car, you should pay attention to the doors as well.

The salon of earlier versions cannot be called premium - it has modest equipment and the usual level of comfort, rather inherent in a family model. The salon has an average capacity, and the rear seats may seem cramped for adults.

Also, the disadvantage of the Ford Mondeo is a weak battery (this trend can be traced on all the company's products). In addition, it will take a long time to find the battery and disconnect it for the first time. face this problem even more often - in addition to the purchased used Mondeo, you need to take a new battery.

Outcome

The first thing that becomes clear upon a detailed study of the model is that this car is not a family car. For a passenger, it has insufficient comfort and too high costs. As for the business class car, Mondeo fails here too - modest equipment and troublesome maintenance make you look for a better model. A used Ford requires a lot of money to keep it running.
