Yes, the body is in fact the same rectangle. Only without a single corner. Moreover, the exterior designers not only rounded them - they, in the best traditions of Pablo, created an indescribable and original image, on which, like on a huge canvas, an incredible number of elements, strokes, lines and shapes were woven into a single picture.

How organically and attractively black and white are combined, richly diluted with chrome. Not bad taste, no! Framed in mirrored metal on a black background in a white bumper, the fog lights flow into the tricky and equally black and white pattern of the 17-inch wheels. Rising up the wings, through the black-and-white mirrors, they turn into a panoramic curve of a three-piece windshield. And then - along the roof rails, smoothly flowing down the black-chrome edging of the lanterns, the lines logically end with the last stroke of black paint on the rear bumper. Real art! Out of time...

And what the French have done (just done, from the word "creation") inside cannot be described in words. It feels like I got into a real cockpit of a good old starship in the good old series of games "X:" or "Descent: FreeSpace". Before my eyes is a huge panorama of glass divided into sections, moved away from those sitting in front. Of course, there is no question of any lack of visibility in the C3 Picasso.

In the center - as many as four screens, and of different shapes, with different content and different display of information. The left one is the most important - the Citroen vision of the instrument panel. With the exception of the overly schematic tachometer, all other information is read well. But the largest screen with a standard navigation system, when the headlight is turned on, goes into night mode and “goes blind” in daylight. So it’s uncomfortable to drive with low beams - that’s what the LED strips of running lights are for.

By the way, in terms of the quality of finishing materials, given the five-year age, Citroen can give odds to many modern competitors. Plastic may not be soft everywhere, but certainly not cheap. The French are one of the few who have never saved on interior design.

Only when you get used to this non-trivial world, you begin to understand that the ergonomics here are very specific. This is the whole point! The fact is that the French school of interior design is very different from the generally accepted one. Let's say German. If the whole world is used to controlling the radio and cruise control with the buttons on the steering wheel, then the Citroen joysticks on the steering wheel may seem like a real torment. But! Having accustomed hands to them, it turns out that such control is incredibly convenient. Transplanting into any other car, the fingers reflexively stretch not to the steering wheel hubs, but to these "bursts". And so it is with almost everything...

The front seats, although flat in appearance, are generally comfortable. The unobtrusive profile in them appears already under the weight of the body, and the tenacious texture does not allow to slip out. Behind it is cramped only in width - after all, the class "B +". But the sofa can be adjusted in parts in four directions. And most importantly - smile again!

Does everyone have tables in the back? And the French - with an individual backlight. Do all the curtains on the windows pull out of the doors? And the French - from the support pillar of the window. Does everyone have a reclining armrest with cup holders? And the French have only a lid-table, but with a hole in the trunk. And above your head - of course, the sky in the entire roof!
