On Russian roads, cars with green numbers will no longer be a curiosity - they will massively designate all electric vehicles. State signs of a distinctive color will be issued to all car owners when registering electric vehicles. The green number indicates that this is an eco-transport, which practically does not pollute the environment.
Roman Malkin announced plans to make electric vehicles as popular as possible in Russia at a conference attended by members of the Avtonet working group. He stated that the introduction of green numbers will be the first step towards popularization.
According to Roman Malkin, the government intends to take decisive steps to develop urban infrastructure to meet the needs of owners of electric vehicles. They will even introduce concessions and preferential terms. So far, cars with electric motors are not popular in Russia, since very few special charging stations have been built. Meanwhile, abroad, sales of electric cars are growing annually by 40-60%.
