I have owned a car since 2010, I bought it new, for 682,000 rubles. Almost the maximum grade (everything except leather) titanium. For the entire period of operation (city-80%, highway-20%), only consumables (oil, filters, pads) have changed. At 100,000 km I changed all the brake discs (although the rear ones could not have been changed), when changing shoes, I noticed a wet spot on the rear shock absorber and immediately changed all four of the OD. And as they told me that you can still ride .. but I decided to change, somehow calmer.

There was also a replacement of thrust bearings (under warranty), a belt tensioner roller (under warranty), a stabilizer bar on the left (under warranty for 80,000 km), and I changed the second one for my own. Here, in fact, all the expenses ... yes, more candles every 20,000 km. Service only at OD.

Strengths:

The car is inexpensive, reliable, comfortable ... in operation it is also quite budgetary. This is the second Ford Focus I have (the first one was 2008v.1.6mkpp). Only 2L is more suitable for this machine.

Review Ford Focus 1.4 16V (Ford Focus) 2009

Auto was bought by accident. Needed a machine "to learn how to drive after driving school." Initially, I looked at 2113-2114 (due to the limited budget and lack of knowledge / assistants in choosing used cars), but thanks to the crisis in the spring of 2009, a preferential car loan program was launched and Ford lowered the price for its simplest model to 345k rubles. True, after a couple of months, the ceiling on the cost of the program was raised by almost 2 times and the prices immediately flew away, but who managed to snatch it. I am one of them. Since I initially counted on the domestic auto industry, I was running out of money and the car went to the most basic base - without ABS, kondeya, casting, music and other joys of life - but oh well.

In general, for 5 years and 60k kilometers, the machine itself did not cause any trouble. The engine subjectively produces more than 80 horses. With 1-2 people in the car, I didn’t feel flawed in city traffic - acceleration at the level of 8-valve dozens. A very good gearbox (only there are plugs with a reverse gear - as they said at the service “design defect”). Good visibility, the mirrors are generally the best I have ever encountered - moderately large, with curved ends on both, there were no blind spots, at least for me.

In the very first winter, due to my own stupidity, I discharged the battery on the car and left it in the cold for several weeks (New Year holidays). The verdict of connoisseurs on the forum and other familiar motorists - a replacement, they say, not a tenant. Nevertheless, it warmed up, discharged and charged a couple of times and it still works! In the last winter, after 40 hours of inactivity, it started up at -29 the first time (if you know how). Also in the first year of operation, I rubbed myself against a concrete column when parking - I slightly deformed the wing and stripped the paintwork to metal. The first months I didn’t do anything with it at all (I was looking for where I could do it on a budget), then I just smeared it with paint from Ford chips in several layers - after 5 years there were no hints of rust. 2 times in the city I got into an accident with a "muzzle" - judging by the sound and sensations in the cabin, I thought seriously, but no - the metal is very good on the body and even the local craftsmen were able to restore the native bumper.

This is what I want to talk about.

At the next MOT, the master strongly recommended repairing the rear suspension. Showed me a good tattered rubber salintah leverage. It turns out that I didn’t go to the psychological barrier of 100 from the multi-link bulkhead. run. Bottom line: the rear suspension moved away 70k, while the first signs of rubber band fatigue were noticed at 50k. Is it a lot or a little? I don't know, but I expected more. Despite the fact that the front is still ideal - therefore, the exploitation is not brutal on my part. Thoughts do not leave me about some kind of trick, because there was a trick with a mileage of 200k nearby. – the rear suspension is still in good condition! The owner swore that he did not climb there. And from the differences in the cars, I only found that he had a German assembly. And I have: replacement of the trailing arm salints (killed tightly), steering levers assembly (killed tightly), large spring-loaded levers assembly (dead) and a mandatory similarity collapse. Total for everything with work 16500 rubles. I still have sickles and a stabilizer - together with them there would be 20,000 rubles. This is a good informal. The dealer has 42,000 rubles. For all. Yes, and I want to note: even the bumpy rear multi-link does not knock or rattle. Look there. After the replacement, I felt increased elasticity and ... composure or something ...

From under the chrome saber on the fifth door, the paint peeled off again in places that I tinted with a brush. I found two more hearths on the same door on the fold under the very glass. Decided to paint the door completely. Price 9000r. along with cutting and pasting glass. By the way, I want to note that in places where the paintwork has fallen off, the metal does not rust. I got this car thanks to the recycling program of our Vladimir. We stimulated it well then. Actually, I thought, well, let's take a spot for a couple of years, and the wife - I want a foreign car;) They took it, the wife chose the color, it is more noticeable on the road - it is therefore safer. Well, it looks clear (when washed).

The first driving experience, as far as I remember — WOW (this is after the vase). Excellent handling and tenacious brakes, small pedal travel, backstage, informative steering wheel - a charm. It feels like it can do whatever you want on the road, it depends only on your reaction and the horses under the hood. There were not enough horses, of course, - 80. But in principle, I had enough for my riding style, on the track you get a little nervous when overtaking a long vehicle, but it’s normal. The equipment is the simplest, with twists. But for me it's better than a stuffed basin. A friend took the fourteenth in the latest configuration, I don’t remember exactly, probably 100 thousand less than mine. I ask, what is not a Ford or some other foreign car. He says that he has no money to service foreign cars. I think it’s not worth saying here who did the most digging in the yard and in the garage and who spent more. Because Ford had a warranty of 2 years or 100,000 km. Having survived a year of operation safely, I decided to give up on maintenance at the dealer and changed the consumables myself. By that time, I had heard a lot about the maneuvers at the dealer, how they “work” there - yes.

Once, while reversing in the parking lot (it’s so hard to see), the front left wheel hit the open hatch (it’s on Bogatyrsky, opposite the okay, there is a center for various spare parts, I think it’s still open), but the wheel didn’t go all the way, I braked in time , and somewhere cm 6 left to the bottom. And here I am, on the handbrake, turn the steering wheel all the way, including 2nd gear and gas — I was surprised at myself and the horse. Then somehow at a low speed I drove into a high parebrik (distracted). Pah-pah, it seems to be nothing. In appearance, the clearance seems so small, but in fact I felt more confident on it in such kaldoebins than on the 99th, I almost didn’t shuffle, except perhaps with mudguards. This apparently depends on the design of the car itself, everything is very thought out - both outside and inside. Now I don’t remember what surprised me and when, but the fact that such a feeling remained is a fact.
