Fog lights not only increase driving safety in poor visibility conditions, but also provide a more presentable and stylish look to the car exterior. However, not all cars are regularly equipped with the specified element, and often the fog lights installed “from the assembly line” quickly fail, which requires their appropriate replacement. Our online store offers high-quality Grant fog lights, which you can buy directly on the presented website.

How to choose the right fog lights for Lada Grant

The specified fog lights of the VAZ Grant have an important distinguishing feature. It consists in the ability to emit a narrow directional light, which makes it possible to illuminate the road quite well during fog. Also, your car will be as visible as possible to other road users, significantly increasing driving safety in difficult climatic conditions.

We offer products exclusively from trusted manufacturers, which use high-quality incandescent or LED lamps. They have a long service life and minimal power consumption (made using LED technology). Choosing such foglights, you can take advantage of their following advantages:

  • significantly transform the appearance of your car, making it look as attractive and aggressive as possible;
  • move safely at the desired speed in fog with limited visibility;
  • the high-strength housing of the proposed fog lamps minimizes the risk of damage to them, which will save you from additional expenses;
  • a special streamlined shape will improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the machine and eliminate the appearance of extraneous noise when driving at high speeds.

After agreeing on all the details, the service of delivering the selected accessories directly to your address will be offered, which will make the purchase procedure as profitable and convenient as possible. We are always ready to answer any questions regarding our activities, and are also open to fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation!

If the equipment of the machine does not provide for (PTF), this is not a big problem for the lucky one, since they can be installed and connected independently. So, consider the process of installing additional lighting.

First you need to buy fog lights: you can buy tuned ones, you can buy original ones for Lada Granta, but in order to save money, you can replace them with optics for Lada Kalina. The connection kit can be taken for Priora. Now that we have everything we need, we can proceed with the installation. This will require .

Headlight installation process

Steps for dismantling the bumper:

  • remove the registration plate;
  • unscrew 2 bolts under it;
  • remove 2 fender liner screws;
  • unfasten 6 bolts securing to the body;
  • disconnect all the screws of the lower mounting of the bumper to the body and fender liner;
  • unfasten the side latches;
  • remove the bumper by sliding it forward.

After the bumper is dismantled, you can begin to prepare the place of attachment of the optics. The standard mounting points for the fog lamps of the Lada Grant are closed with plastic plugs. In order to remove them, we need a knife. Carefully cut out holes of the desired diameter, periodically trying on the PTF so as not to cut off the excess and not damage the bumper.

Once reached, the edges of the hole should be processed with a file to obtain an aesthetic appearance. Next, we fasten the foglights with self-tapping screws to the bumper, install this entire structure in place, after which you can start connecting the PTF according to the attached diagram. After installing fog lights, they must be adjusted in accordance with GOST. You can drive the car to the service station, or you can do it yourself, making sure that the tire pressure is correct.

For self-adjustment, you need to put the car at a distance of 5 m from a flat wall in the dark (instead of a wall, any flat surface of a sufficiently large size can be used: a fence, a sheet of plywood, and so on), swing the body manually (then the suspension springs will fall into the correct position ) and after that adjust the PTF. If xenon lamps are installed in them, it is necessary to carefully check that the fog lights illuminate the road and do not blind drivers of the oncoming lane.

Provide for the presence of fog lights (PTF). However, this is not scary, because you can install and connect foglights on the Grant with your own hands.

Which PTF to choose for Grants

To install PTF in Lada Granta there are regular places in the bumper. They are just right for standard PTF from Kalina. There are PTF Bosch (Ryazan) - with flat glass, and PTF Kirzhach - with convex glass (like a lens). Both headlights have the same mountings, so choose according to your taste. The price is 1500 rubles.

As an option, you can install universal foglights, there is a place for them in the bumper of Grants.

First you need to remove Grants bumper. Now cut out the holes for the PTF with a clerical knife. We fix the installed headlights on the screws, connect the wires and install the bumper in the reverse order.

Connecting PTF to Grant

Wiring can be taken from Lada Priora (price 400 rubles), but note that this kit does not have enough wire, but its length is enough to fix the relay in the mounting block under the hood. Then the control wire from the button will have to be pulled to the relay through the plug above the gas pedal. We take the button power from the dimensions, or from the ignition. We take power to the relay next to the battery, after the relay we cut the fuse sockets into the power wires on the PTF.

There are many PTF connection schemes, which one you like best, choose for yourself:
1) Turn on the PTF on a separate button with an indicator. Like this:

Scheme and description:

The disadvantage of this connection is the lack of PTF indication in the dashboard.

2) Turn on the PTF with the rear fog lights button. We connect the winding of the PTF switching relay to the wire going to the rear fog lamp. We remove the ICC (lighting control module), the connector at the back. We look at the color of the wire according to the scheme.

Thus, when the PTF is turned on, a symbol is displayed on the instrument panel, but the disadvantage is that the PTF only works with the near and far.

3) Turning on the PTF through the ICC, or rather its electrical part.
Adding a mic. Mikrik was taken with his feet in order to pass through the board. We mark its position, drill two holes for the legs and two next to it for wires. We pass the wire from the outside and solder it at the back. One end of the wire to dad 31 from the mikrik, the second wire led out through the hole.

Button illumination: solder the LED on the LED strip, cut out only the square with the diode and glue it in front of the mikrik. We connect to the LED at the rear PTF button. We'll have to break the partitions because of the wires.

The PTF button from Priora (a hat with a headlight icon) is crossed with our button-stub. That is, we cut off the top from the PTF Grants button, and glued a piece of the Priorov button in its place. It is smaller in height due to the rectangular window, so we putty, skin, level it.

If the ICC Grants are not finalized, then the installation and connection of the PTF will take no more than 3 hours.

PTF adjustment according to GOST

Do not forget that immediately after installing the PTF, you need to adjust them. PTF Kirzhach with convex glass, adjustable with a long Torx T20 screwdriver. Bosch (AL) with flat glass - Phillips screwdriver. Both those and other headlights are regulated only up / down.

Fog lights (PTF) are not a mandatory option in any of the cars. But their presence allows the driver in a certain situation to have significant preferences. These devices are able to expand the light beam and significantly improve visibility in adverse weather conditions:

  • in fog;
  • during the rain;
  • in the snow;
  • during the night period.

With the help of PTF, the exterior of any car looks more expressive.

Most representatives of the VAZ lineup, due to their “budget” origin, are not endowed with fog optics in the standard. Among them there is a popular modification - Lada Granta.

Connecting PTF to this model will not cause certain difficulties. Self-implementation of this event will save on the budget.

Attention! For the successful implementation of the installation of fog lighting devices, basic knowledge in the field of auto electrics will be required. If there are none, then the rational option would be to contact a special service.

How to choose PTF for Grants?

These lighting devices are available on the market in two versions:

  • with spherical glass;
  • with a flat glass profile.

For each owner, fog lights are available to choose from according to their own preferences. The starting cost of optics is about 1200 rubles. per set. According to the experience of the owners, it has been noticed that foglights made with a spherical glass profile are stronger and have excellent resistance to impacts of oncoming stones.

For Lada Grant, in most cases, fog lights from the Kalina model are used. However, among the available options there is optics specifically for the Lada Grant liftback. Her catalog code is 2190-3742010-11.

Features of mounting fog lights

Before the fog lamps are installed, a certain list of preparatory operations should be performed. First, we examine the front bumper, in the lower part of which seats for fog devices are integrated by the factory.

On later modifications, plugs were installed in these seats. They are simply squeezed out before the connection is made.

For this procedure, you will need the following list of devices and tools:

  • high-quality fog optics for Lada Grant;
  • special kit for mounting and connecting optics;
  • plus/minus screwdrivers;
  • drill with a drill;
  • an abrasive stone with an appropriate diameter, a file, an emery sheet of fine-grained paper;
  • knife (can be clerical);
  • wire cutters;
  • a set of keys.

Installation of fog lamps is carried out in accordance with the sequence below.

  1. Disconnect the minus terminal from the battery. This is very necessary, since any of the operations with an auto electrician provides for the mandatory de-energization of the on-board network.
  2. We dismantle the front bumper. For this purpose, we unscrew the bolts securing the radiator grille and the bumper itself (located under the license plate frame and below). Then we unscrew the screws connecting the bumper to the fender liner at the bottom and inside the wheel arches. We remove the LADA Granta bumper while simultaneously moving the extreme corners to the outside and place it on a flat tabletop.
  3. We use a drill to prepare places for installation. We drill holes around the stamped recess. Next, remove the plugs with a knife. To eliminate irregularities along the edges of the holes, we use an emery stone fixed in the fists of the drill. Here, if necessary, we use a file or an emery sheet. From the reverse surface of the bumper, we perform similar actions.
  4. We carefully place the headlight in the prepared seat and securely fix its body with self-tapping screws.
  5. We carry out the installation of the electrical circuit. It is given in the instructions supplied with the special mounting kit. We carry out the pulling of cables into the cabin through the engine compartment and a special hole made inside the mounting block.
  6. In the block we fix a relay with a fuse that will ensure the functioning of the PTF. We connect one cable to the button that activates the foglights of the LADA Granta stern. This connection option is the simplest. In addition, an indication of the operation of fog optics will be displayed on the instrument panel.
  7. We mount the bumper while simultaneously tightening the slack of the cables inside the engine compartment. We make reliable fixation of wiring with the help of ties.
  8. We activate the battery and control the operation of the PTF after the installation of the foglights is completed.

If it becomes necessary to adjust the light beam in LADA Granta, then we perform it until it reaches the same level as the dipped beam. So, as can be seen from all of the above, installing foglights is a responsible process, but not complicated. The connection can be made independently. And adjust the foglights as you like.

The car "Lada Granta" from the factory comes in three trim levels: "Lux", "Norma", "Standard". In this case, only the first of them receives fog lights. The second and third places for the installation of "foglights" have, there is a corresponding button on the panel, but there are no headlights themselves. PTF connection can be entrusted to service station specialists, but installing them yourself according to a ready-made scheme is both cheaper and more pleasant.

Rules for installing "foglights" on Lada

Properly installed PTFs help the driver drive the car in difficult road conditions. The rules of the road strictly regulate the height of the headlights, their color, as well as the position of light spots on the road.

Where can I install PTF

In the design of the modern "Grants", the installation sites are precisely worked out: under the license plate, on the sides. In some bumpers, there are even recesses left there. . In any case, for proper installation, the front bumper of the car will have to be removed.

But before that, you should go shopping and find the necessary details. Today's market offers both recessed bumpers and bumpers with headlights already installed. The choice, as always, remains with the owner.

Instructions for installing headlights for "dummies"

The whole process of equipping a car with “foglights” can be divided into several stages:

  1. Removing the bumper.
  2. Headlight installation.
  3. Wiring.
  4. Headlight connection.
  5. Assemble parts in reverse order.

Removing the front bumper

The bumper of the "Grants" is integral with the grille, therefore, in order not to warp the latches under the wings, it is advisable to remove it together with a partner.

Do-it-yourself headlight installation

For Lada Grants, two types of headlights are offered today:

  • Bosch - with flat glass;
  • Kirzhach - convex glass.

Both those and other headlights are standard, so their choice is up to the consumer.

What tool do you need

In addition to headlights, for PTF car equipment, you must have available:

  • self-tapping screws (6 pieces for mounting headlights);
  • drill;
  • set of drills;
  • countersink or skin;
  • stationery knife;
  • sealant.
  1. In the center of the oval, a hole with a diameter of up to 10 mm is drilled under the headlight.
  2. Starting from this hole, cut out a circle along the inner diameter with a clerical knife.

    It is better to cut the hole in several steps so that the hand does not slip off and ruin the bumper.

  3. A hole is processed with a sandpaper or countersink, the contour of which should be equal to the outer diameter of the headlight.
  4. Using self-tapping screws, install the headlight in the bumper.
  5. The gaps remaining after work are filled with sealant.

The last paragraph of the instruction is optional. However, experts recommend not to neglect it, otherwise dirt, snow or water may get into the cracks.

The steps described above are repeated in the same sequence to install the second headlight.

How to make wiring and connect a headlight

To connect the PTF, you will need various tools:

  • mounting kit for connecting fog lights on the "Grant". It includes a button, relay, wiring in the cabin, wiring under the hood;
  • corrugation (for example, 9 mm for the interior and 16 mm for the hood);
  • insulating tape;
  • drill;
  • set of drills;
  • head 10 mm;
  • wrench 13 mm.

The plan for connecting "foglights" looks like this:

  1. Take out the battery.
  2. Unscrew the screws securing the platform under it.
  3. Having shifted the panel to the side, loosen the bracket nut, removing the fuel pipes.
  4. The wire begins to be laid from the right headlight through the mudguard, then under the compressor, generator and cooling fan.
  5. The wire from the second headlight is passed through the left mudguard.
  6. Both wires are connected in the engine compartment. Then they are placed in a corrugation.
  7. The corrugation is passed under the ABS block next to the tubes of the headlight hydraulic correctors, entering the cabin through the rubber bands of these tubes.

Finished with wiring under the hood.

Now you can install the battery in its original place and attach the bumper. The diagrams below show where the ground terminals can be fixed on the right side.

The terminals are attached in the same way on the left side.

PTF connection in the cabin

The power button can be done in two ways:

  • using the button included in the mounting kit;
  • through the regular system of the light control module (MCS).

How to put a button

The first method is described in detail in the instructions for the kit. This is how the installation diagram will look like using the button from the installation kit.

Here it is worth mentioning the connection rules. The blue wire is connected to the "plus" of the ignition, the white - to the "plus" from the marker lights, the black - to the "minus". Relay in the system must be required. The current strength with the headlights on reaches 35 A, so the button will not last long without it. Power is supplied to the relay from the fuse box or directly from the battery, as shown in the diagram.

Scheme using ICC

This option is more complicated, but it allows you to display the indication of the operation of the "foglights" on the dashboard. In addition to the mounting kit, you will need to purchase Lira-type terminals (large and small).

In addition, you will need the ICC block from the Lux Grants. There are two types of this module on sale, the differences between which are the presence of another switch position and additional contacts. The price of ICCs also differs by almost a third.

Required tool:

  • soldering iron;
  • insulating tape;
  • flat screwdriver;
  • Phillips screwdriver;
  • 22 mm wrench with long handle.

The installation order looks like this:

  1. The fuse box cover is attached with clips, so to remove it, just pull it towards you.
  2. Unscrew the three screws holding the instrument cluster panel: a pair at the top, one under the fuse panel.
  3. The combination itself is held on by four screws. Unscrew them, then, sliding it to the side, remove the connection connector. It is held by a special switch, which is turned to the side.
  4. Then remove the steering column trim.
  5. We got to the ICC. Unscrew one screw above it, remove it from the block. On the sides there will be two latches that are wrung out with a screwdriver.
  6. Remove the handle from the headlight hydrocorrector by pulling it towards you, then release the nut holding it on the panel, sink it inward, slightly shift it down.
  7. Now unscrew the screw securing the fuse box.

    For convenience, move the steering column up to the stop.

  8. After removing the screw and shifting the block to the left, they release it from the mounts. Then it must be turned over, after removing several relays on the left side.
  9. Connect the pink wire from the ignition and the blue wire from the mounting block, so a “plus” will be applied to the circuit. Solder the junction, then isolate it.
  10. Next, look for empty spaces on the fuse box under the sockets F16, F17 indicated in the diagram below.

    The fuse F18 is indicated next to it. You can install it in advance if you plan to make seat heating in the future.

  11. Now, large “Lyres” are put on the ends of the wires coming from the “foglights”, inserted into the fuse box. The left headlight is turned on to fuse 17, the right headlight to fuse 16. The two remaining fuses must be connected to the power relay, as indicated in the diagram.

    You can do without a relay, because the ICC from "Lux" has its own. But it is more reliable to use an external relay and a thick power wire.

    Then an additional wire is brought to the instrument cluster to indicate the headlights are on, connecting to pin 15.

  12. The whole structure is assembled in the reverse order. Henceforth, the inclusion of fog lights will be provided through the ICC, like the rest of the headlights.

Video: installing fog lights and repairing head optics on the Lada Grant

"Lada Granta" in the configuration "Lux" already has fog lights. But, having bought the necessary parts, you can also equip other configuration models with additional headlights - “Standard” or “Norma”. This work is painstaking, but if you carefully do it, then it will not be much work. Every driver knows that the price of work at a service station is directly proportional not to the cost of parts, but to the duration of the work.
