When I first got behind the wheel, I was very impressed with how the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 goes through bumps. Now, after the acquisition, I drew attention to some shortcomings: the interior vibrates, it’s a bit crowded in the rear seats, the third-row seats are almost never used, and the diesel picks up speed poorly. That's all according to the claims. I felt the dimensions immediately, in the city you feel like a shark among a school of fish. The fuel efficiency is huge (this is not the only car in the family, the wife drives an Acura MDX and there is also a Jaguar so that it is fashionable to relax and recharge with adrenaline). You can stop everywhere, it seems to me that every tow truck in our country is trying to bypass the Toyota Land Cruiser 100. Very stable on the track. But the work of the limiter is very mysterious (on the speedometer more than 180 km / h, but the tachometer does not rise above 3.5 thousand). The seats are comfortable, no fatigue in the back, even long journeys are not annoying. I really liked the work of cruise control, you relax completely, much better than on the same Acura. Cornering is not the same as on the Jaguar, although on the other hand, it’s not about a sedan. I bought a car not only because I had long dreamed of, but also for constant use. Now trips to nature, out of town exclusively with the Toyota Land Cruiser 100, I roll out the Jaguar from the garage no more than once a month.

Advantages : economy, cruise, comfortable driver's seat.

Flaws : comfort of the rear seats, "blunt" diesel.

The car was bought only in order to drive off-road, where you need to go along the highway and carry all the necessary luggage or people. I won’t say that there are a lot of offers for roomy cars among classmates, in fact they are extremely limited. As a result, we decided to purchase a Toyota Land Cruiser 100. Actually, the only competitor of this Toyota option, it seems to me, is the Nissan Patrol. As a result, they took exactly what we wanted - a huge, uneconomical, with a very spacious interior, a minimum of comfort, mediocre appearance and interior. On the track, I do not advise accelerating to more than 120 km / h, because at higher speeds, driving becomes extremely difficult. On a poor-quality road, the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 drives dynamically and confidently. On frank off-road have not yet experienced. Only once they crawled over the dune. It’s better not to get out into the city on such a car, but when there are traffic jams, it’s just a nightmare. In principle, we like the car, it copes with the tasks assigned to it perfectly, we have already dashed off more than 60 thousand km. And a lot went to the mountains, to the passes. Not to say that the car is a pleasure to drive, at least for me personally.

Advantages : the main advantage is a functionally off-road car.

The first emotions from the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 were as follows. I don’t go fishing or hunting, so if you wanted to read about how this car behaves off-road, then my review will hardly be of interest to you. I have not traveled through swamps, fields and snowdrifts, and in fact I am not going to. I bought a car for reliability, endurance (because I concluded from the reviews that it was exactly like that) to ride on asphalt and curbs, well, so as not to flinch every time I remember a lever or a dead bearing after falling into another hole. The first thing I noticed after the purchase was the large dimensions and power of the unit. The level of comfort is not very high. The salon is quite noisy (creaks, knocks, grunts), but not very annoying, although it is loud. I think that only a naive person can count on a perfectly quiet interior when buying such an SUV. The seats are large, leather upholstery, only it is not perforated, so you sweat a lot on it. To call the seats of the Toyota Land Cruiser 100 comfortable also does not turn the tongue. As for fuel consumption. Since I want to save money, I mainly use gas. In the city, Toyota Land Cruiser 100 eats about 24.5 liters per 100 km, on the highway - about 20 liters per 100 km. These data are taken from the readings of the on-board computer, but in fact, when I independently calculated how many liters of gas were consumed per trip, I got the same results. I don't like driving from traffic lights. On traffic jams, the on-board computer gives out from 33 to 38 liters (but it's hard to say how much it actually takes). On the highway it goes quietly at a speed of 120 - 140 km / h. That's just a few worries about the sound on the windshield. I would also like to dwell on soundproofing separately, I was really surprised that it is quite decent.

Advantages : comfort. Smooth running. Noise isolation. Off-road qualities. Reliability. Unpretentiousness.

Flaws : no special.
