The 6th generation Chevrolet Camaro has become smaller than its predecessor in all respects at once: the length is 4784 mm, the width is 1897 mm, the height is 1348 mm, the distance between the axles is 2811 mm. What Chevrolet Camaro of the sixth generation noticeably added against the background of the fifth generation model is the quality of finishing materials - solid plastics, fabric or leather in the seat upholstery, metal inserts. In terms of dynamic performance, the "sixth Camaro" is not bad - even the basic version of this coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 6 seconds, and for every 100 km of combined cycle it uses an average of 7.8 liters of gasoline.

This two-door is based on the rear-wheel drive Alpha platform (which also serves as the basis for the Cadillac CTS sedan, but it has been redesigned by 70% specifically for the Camaro). An aluminum multi-link scheme with MacPherson strut and a double steering knuckle is mounted on the front axle, and a steel five-link suspension is mounted on the rear. The wider use of "winged" metal in the body structure increased the rigidity of the latter by 28% and reduced the total weight of the car by at least 90 kilograms.

The steering device implies the presence of an electric amplifier.

In the basic version, the coupe “flaunts” Brembo brakes: 4-piston with 320 mm discs in front and 1-piston with 315 mm discs at the rear. "Top" cars are equipped with devices with a diameter of 345 mm on the front wheels and 338 mm on the rear.
