    The development of the concept of the Lanos model was the Sens car that appeared in 2007, produced for the domestic market of Ukraine at the Zaporozhye Automobile Plant. Like Lanos, the model is available in hatchback and sedan bodies. Since 2009, the model has been exported to Russia, where it is sold under the name ZAZ Chance.
    The appearance of the car is practically no different from the Lanos prototype - a pleasant exterior and a good quality of fit. The only differences are in the grille, rear design and some trim elements.
    The interior is also slightly different from Lanos. Inside the cabin, peace and quiet reigns thanks to excellent sound insulation. All panels are installed qualitatively, the gaps are uniform. During the movement, nothing creaks, the seats are comfortable and comfortable, their adjustments are enough for a person of any height and build to be able to find the position he needs.
    The volume of the luggage compartment with a completely flat floor is enough to go on a short trip. However, if this volume is not enough, you can fold the rear seatbacks and thereby get almost 640 liters of additional space.

The production technology of the “heel” is quite ordinary: a platform with a front part of the body (along the middle pillars) is taken from a passenger car, instead of the rear doors between the pillars and the rear arches, a power frame of rectangular pipes is welded into the gaps. All this is covered with a fiberglass cap, which goes to the roof in front, and descends from the sides to the level of thresholds. In the stern there are two doors of unequal width, which swing open at an angle of up to 180 °. The volume of the cargo compartment of the machine is 2.8 m3, and the load capacity is 550 kg. The large door opening and low loading height greatly facilitate loading and unloading operations.
    Gasoline engines are installed on the car: 1.3-, 1.4- and 1.5-liter in-line fours with distributed fuel injection with a capacity of 70, 77 and 86 horsepower, respectively. The 1.3-liter MeM3-307.C engine produced in Melitopol is the main difference between Sens and Lanos. According to the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases, this unit complies with the EURO III environmental standard.
    All engines are aggregated with a five-speed manual gearbox, originally designed for Tavria. At high speeds, it practically turns off, and when parking and at low speeds, it makes turning the steering wheel as easy as possible. The advantage of the steering mechanism is its layout. Steering rods are attached to the swing arms of the telescopic struts not at the bottom, like most front-wheel drive foreign cars, but at the top. This design avoids deformation of the steering rods in contact with curbs and road defects.
    There is no reason to worry about the operation of the car in the winter, when tons of reagents are poured onto the roads, which adversely affect the condition of the body, since it is all (including the roof) covered with a zinc-nickel composition.
