Which tires have the strongest sidewalls? Which tires hold the best impact? I present to you the eight most reliable models of winter tires.
How to determine the strongest tires?
Autoreview experts will help us answer this question, they conduct tire tests as part of shock test: put a curb with a height of 94 mm. At an angle of 45 degrees run over with one wheel. After a successful passage, increase the speed by 5 km / h.
Raise the speed until the end-to-end breakdown of the sidewall. After that, the tire starts to deflate. Such an experiment allows us to simulate the situation when a wheel hits a hole with a sharp edge or a stone, brick or piece of sharp ice hits.
Of the nineteen models of the 2016 Supertest, I offer you the top 8 strongest tires, divided into three groups. Tires with the weakest impact resistance received a breakdown at a speed of 40 km / h. Now look at the winners...
Good tires with strong sidewalls
These tires managed to break through at a speed of 50 km / h, they are better than most of the other participants:
- (Wi31), silent tires with good performance on asphalt.
- - the frame was specially reinforced for Russian conditions, and they are produced in Russia. Of the benefits: grip on snow and wet asphalt.
- - Tires with good performance on asphalt.
- Japanese are good on ice and easy to handle on snow.
Very strong winter tires
In this group, tires, the sidewall of which is stronger than the middle group, but falls short of the leaders:
- - inexpensive tires with high hydroplaning resistance,
- - passable "Velcro" with good grip on the snow.
These tires managed to break through at a speed of 55 km / h. Pirelli - the only non-studded tires in this collection.
The strongest tires
There are two tire models that allowed for even more speed.
The roads this spring are quiet horror. Really. Looks like the budget is being sawed very famously)) Already 4-5 times I have come across taxi drivers who drive an emergency gang with a punctured wheel. I have rarely seen this before. That is why I decided to make a reviewer of summer tires for "puzoterki", which really hold the blow in the pits. It's much easier for us, the owners of SUVs - you take tires with the highest possible profile (from 75 and above) and it will be very difficult to break through them. Well, if there is also a model with a reinforced XL sidewall, then you can not be afraid of tire breakdown.
But it’s really difficult for owners of passenger cars to drive through such pits, the suspension is killed, mufflers fly off, disks bend and tires break through. A friend asked yesterday what tires on the R14 are the most indestructible. So I will answer him with this note))
Strong tires - they are usually hard, so here you have to choose - either ride hard, but reliably, or comfortably (hello Continental), but the chance of blowing a wheel is incredibly high. Now almost all friends who drive cars take domestic tires, since changing wheels every 2-3 months is really expensive, and even the crisis dictates its own terms. Cordiant is ahead of the rest here, and some models are generally ideal in terms of comfort and sidewall strength. Let's consider several models for puzoterok, maybe this mini-reviewer will come in handy for someone.
Cordiant Sport 2
Inexpensive and really strong and tough tires are optimal for our Russian roads. The ride is tough, and therefore it is stated that the Sport tires, the oak sidewall will not allow the car to “fall over” during sharp turns and when rearranging at high speeds on the highway. The ride is tough, but there are no compromises. There are many modifications, for R14 there is an excellent indestructible version with a high profile - 185/65/R14. By the way, if you have a large sedan, then pay attention to the Cordiant Sport 3, they are already the size of an R15 and are also very chic in terms of wear resistance and impenetrability.
Ride with a taxi driver around the city, he drove me to sports in the morning)) got into a conversation, says that he takes these tires all the time, because they are weakly sharpened and hold the blows. He mainly carries people around the city and we really have pits here, pits pits. The city of Kirov, by the way, may have been seen in the news. I'll take a picture of our "chic" roads later))
Kama-Euro-236
Kama - well-known tires. And model 236 is also considered indestructible, because it is declared as all-weather, the tread here is a la AT, so it’s suitable for puzoters who like to go to barbecue)) I have on my blog, by the way, the first thing their owner told me - Tires are very hard to pierce. The sidewall is really strong. In the R14 size, the 185/65/R14 modification will be interesting, the profile is high and this also adds strength to the tires when driving through pits. All other indicators are good, not excellent, namely good - comfort, aquaplaning and directional stability. For the money it's a great tire. I wouldn't drive in the winter
Hankook Optimo K715
I like Korean rubber, the price-quality ratio here is the highest, it seems to me. I myself have been driving the Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 for 4 seasons, the rear wheels have worn off by 15 percent, the front wheels by 50 percent. The mileage is 65k km. So I recommend Hankook to everyone. And for puzoterok there is just the perfect Optima 715. It is soft in itself (the tread itself), but the cord is very hard and it turns out that it is not easy to break through this rubber.
Of course, everyone has a tensile strength, and in Optima it is noticeably higher than in other highways. I know this from three cars of friends, two of whom received this rubber on a new car and have been driving through pits for 2 seasons. There are no cuts, breaks or hernias. It can be worn down faster than Kama and Cordiant, but there is more comfort here)) Not to say, of course, that the sidewall here is unrealistically strong, but stronger than on many other summer tires.
While I remembered these 3 tires, which are really strong and great for driving on bad roads. Leave your observations in the comments, which summer tires do you consider indestructible. The main criterion is the strength of the sidewall. In fact - for driving around the city with bad roads, deep pits and potholes. For slow speeds, in order for the tires to be used as long as possible - the dream of taxi drivers))
Specialized magazines, forums, car clubs, international associations often form a rating of summer passenger tires, especially in February-March, when, according to the law, it is necessary to change winter tires to more suitable for the season. Independent test drives, contests, controls over the product line are preliminarily carried out in order to determine the existing problems in the field of manufacturing and marketing of products, as well as to outline a list of entrepreneurs who are able to find the most profitable solution in the current situation. The entire foreign and domestic auto industry is aimed at creating safe and comfortable tires, and all innovative technologies and experiments with the new tire production scale are aimed at this. Competition in the market stimulates the management of large companies to continuously develop and modernize tires. Successful companies are on everyone's lips, because the authority of the innovator is already deserved, and besides, such a terrible word as “rating” hangs over everyone. The list of leaders is based on different parameters, most often tires are distributed to domestic and foreign models, and they are also formed according to quality and innovation classes, pricing policy is also taken into account, all the more there is a wide spread in the cost of goods, the price of rubber varies from 2,000 to 15,000 rubles.
Summer tires
There are brands that most often occupy leading positions in the rankings, mainly tires from large corporations that have their own research laboratories, regularly innovate and conduct test drives, but also special resources inform consumers about class B products. , C, which is credited with versatility and affordability.
Premium Summer Tire Rating
Class B universal rubber rating
Rating of summer passenger tires of economy class
Along with the increase in temperature outside the window, the relevance of the issue of seasonal re-shoeing of the car is also growing. It is good if a set of summer tires is stocked up in the garage or on the balcony for replacement. Well, if not, then the car owner will have to go all out, plunging into the abyss of reviews and tests in order to choose his tire ideal. We tried to simplify this task by preparing a review of 47 2019 summer tire models from 17 brands available on the Russian market. We talk about their features, advantages and available sizes.
BRIDGESTONE TURANZA T005
A new model in the line of road tires, the main feature of which is high braking and traction in corners on wet surfaces. According to the results of independent tests by TUV SUD, the stopping distance of Turanza T005 is 3 meters shorter than that of the closest competitors of the brand. The wear resistance of the new tires is increased by 11% compared to the previous model. Tire performance has been improved through a new tread pattern, innovative rubber compound technology, optimized carcass design and the use of new materials. In the spring of 2019, the Turanza T005 model will be available in 35 sizes ranging from 16 to 21 inches.
BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S007A
Premium sports tires are another new addition from Bridgestone for the upcoming summer season. The tires of the Potenza line are designed for cars with powerful engines and fully help to unleash their high handling potential in both dry and wet conditions. Nano Pro-Tech tread technology, combined with an innovative 3D M-shaped sipe shape, ensures optimal contact with the road surface and extends tire life. Thanks to the increased rigidity of the tread of the Potenza S007A, the behavior of the tire at high speed in corners has become even more stable. The model is available on the Russian market in 24 sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches.
BRIDGESTONE ALENZA 001
A premium tire designed for SUV/CUV owners and approved by many leading car manufacturers in the premium segment, for which it is supplied as an original equipment. The rounded edges of the tread pattern and the tire's uniform pressure design in the contact patch contribute to high performance on wet roads. Thanks to the reduction of rolling resistance, fuel economy is significantly improved. The use of Nano Pro-Tech technology (uniform distribution of silica molecules) made it possible to reduce temperature loads. In addition, the molecular bonds between the silica and the polymer are greatly strengthened, which extends the life of the tire. The reduced deformation of the tread blocks during braking prevents the contact patch from shrinking, which ensures both effective braking on dry roads and long tire life. The model is available in 60 sizes in the range of bore diameters from 16 to 22 inches.
CONTINENTAL ECOCONTACT 6
A new tire with improved rolling resistance, wear resistance, wet and dry braking and handling compared to the previous EcoContact 5 model. The current model uses a rubber compound specially developed for eco-friendly tyres. The combination of high silica content and high-strength polymer compounds made it possible to reduce deformation during movement, which had a positive effect on reducing rolling resistance. The asymmetrical tread pattern with dense tread pattern contributes to both acoustic and dynamic comfort. Grooves in the shoulder areas that widen towards the outer edge effectively drain water from the contact patch. The edges of the ribs and blocks facing the outer side have a rounded shape, which prevents the “breaking” of the tread elements and maintains a high area of the contact patch during maneuvering. In combination with an elastic rubber compound, the new tread provides high braking performance, especially on wet pavement. A wide range of standard sizes allows you to install the EcoContact 6 tire both on compact cars and on large crossovers. To ensure equal performance for all sizes, Continental has developed three tread options with a different number of longitudinal drainage channels.
CONTINENTAL PREMIUMCONTACT 6
This tire with an asymmetric tread pattern is aimed at owners of middle-class cars and SUVs. The tread design features include micro-blocks and interlocking long shoulder blocks - a solution that provides high lateral support and helps in high-speed cornering. The wear-resistant rubber compound with the addition of amorphous silica contributes to increased tire grip on wet and dry asphalt surfaces, high wear resistance and reduced rolling resistance. Last season, the model received proprietary ContiSilent noise reduction technology. It is a layer of foamed polyurethane glued to the inner surface of the tire from the tread side. The foam effectively absorbs sound vibrations that are transmitted to the rim and then to the suspension and body parts, reducing the noise level by about 9 dB. The tire was introduced to the Russian market two years ago, but 15 new sizes have been added to the current season, the total number of which has exceeded 120 in the range of bore diameters from 16 to 22 inches.
CORDIANT COMFORT 2 AND COMFORT 2 SUV
This season, Cordiant is expanding the size range of the Comfort 2 model, which uses a number of advanced technologies. Thus, the Flex-Cor technology (asymmetric tread pattern and the method of alternating its elements, elastic sidewall, new carcass cord material) provides acoustic and dynamic comfort even when driving on poorly paved roads. Dry-Cor technology (a new profile that has increased the outer diameter and width of the tire to optimize the contact patch, as well as the original design of the central and outer tread) contributes to a high level of road holding and cornering stability, and also reduces rolling resistance. Wet-Cor technology (original drainage system of the central and lateral parts of the tread, a new rubber compound with an increased content of silica) helps to significantly move the hydroplaning threshold and increase traction on wet road surfaces. By the beginning of the summer season, the range of tires includes 37 sizes with landing diameters from 13 to 18 inches, and 15 of them are focused on SUV cars (tires with a reinforced carcass and an increased load index).
DUNLOP DIREZZA DZ 102
The tire is aimed at drivers who prefer an active driving style. containing a combination of carbon and silica provides optimal heating of the tire and its rapid output to performance characteristics. A nylon layer, belt and high-stiffness belt reinforce the structure under the tread layer. Wide longitudinal and transverse grooves well drain water from the tire contact patch with the road, which allows. Wide and strong ribs in the central part of the tread provide the tire with stability when maneuvering. Blocks of variable size in the tread pattern prevent the occurrence of sound resonance and thus provide acoustic comfort. The tire is presented in 41 standard sizes with landing diameters from 14 to 22 inches.
DUNLOP SP SPORT FM800
The tire is aimed at both owners of middle-class cars and owners of premium cars. The new rubber compound, developed with the use of, reduces the rolling resistance of the tire and allows more. The variable stiffness of the tread (the blocks are more rigid in the outer shoulder zone) allows you to optimally redistribute the pressure in the contact patch between the central and shoulder zones, which allows more. Four wide grooves in the central part of the tread contribute to the effective removal of water from the tire contact patch with the road. The original profile reduces the deformation of the sidewall of the tire under load, which increases the dynamic comfort. The tire is presented in 42 standard sizes with landing diameters from 13 to 18 inches.
DUNLOP GRANDTREK PT3
A tire designed for crossovers and SUVs. A new modified polymer in the rubber compound reduces the amount of overheating of the material, while maintaining its strength and elasticity. Reduced rolling resistance allows for more and enhances . Wide ribs in the central and lateral parts of the tread allow . The rounded profile reduces the deformation of the sidewall of the tire under load and prevents uneven wear. The tire is presented in 29 standard sizes with landing diameters from 15 to 19 inches. The Grandtrek PT3 is also available in size 275/50R21.
DUNLOP SP SPORT MAXX 050+
The tire for passenger cars with an asymmetric tread pattern is available in two versions - for passenger cars and SUVs. The composition of the rubber compound, developed using, has an increased content of silicon dioxide (silica), which gives the tread layer elasticity. The breaker layer of the tire uses a two-layer tape consisting of nylon and aramid fiber. This not only gives the tire structure strength, but also increases the area of the contact patch. Wide rigid shoulder blocks and a solid center rib contribute to good directional stability and stable maneuvering behavior of the tire. Wide center grooves effectively evacuate water from the tire's contact patch with the road, thereby reducing the risk of aquaplaning. The tire for passenger cars is presented in 37 standard sizes with landing diameters from 16 to 20 inches. In the version , given the higher weight and center of gravity of these cars, a stronger material for the frame is used. Model SP Sport MAXX 050+ for SUVs is available in 27 sizes with landing diameters from 17 to 22 inches.
GISLAVED ULTRA*SPEED 2
The tire is aimed at owners of compact, family and golf class cars, including their powerful modifications, as well as compact and mid-size crossovers and minivans. The tire tread has an asymmetric design, and wide longitudinal channels, the number of which varies depending on the size, allow you to quickly remove water from the contact patch and combat hydroplaning. The edges of the transverse oblique grooves form sharp edges that enhance traction on wet pavement. Wide longitudinal ribs are responsible for handling and directional stability, and reinforcing elements in the transverse grooves increase the tread density and improve steering response. The "proprietary" combination of polymers and silicon dioxide provided reduced rolling resistance and increased tire mileage. Also, the developers managed to increase the elasticity of the tire and provide a high level of grip on wet pavement. The tire range includes a wide range of sizes with landing diameters from 15 to 19 inches, speed indexes T-Y (190-300 km/h), as well as an increased load index XL for most sizes.
GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 3 SUV
A key feature of these new off-road tires is active braking technology. In the braking mode, the contact patch of the tire with the road increases, which allows you to shorten the braking distance of the car on both dry and wet surfaces. The use of Grip Booster technology, based on the use of a new rubber compound with special adhesion properties for dissimilar surfaces, also helped to reduce the braking distance: thanks to this composition, the tire “sticks” to the road surface. Another innovative technology - SUV-Optimized Construction - involves the use of cords of different composition and structure in the layers of the tire carcass. This solution gives the tires optimal rigidity, which improves handling at high speeds. And UHP Cool Cushion Lauer technology, which reduces tire heat, helps reduce rolling resistance.
GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC 5
These new generation tires are geared towards active driving and feature an innovative high silica rubber compound as a key feature. This compound provides a combination of good handling and a high level of wear resistance. The tread pattern of the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is designed so that during braking, the tire's contact patch with the road increases, providing a level of grip close to that of a racing tire. The design of the tire minimizes contact patch deformation when cornering, contributing to good handling when maneuvering and improving the quality of feedback. This year the tire will be presented in 61 sizes with bore diameters from 17 to 22 inches.
GOODYEAR EAGLE SPORT TZ
The original asymmetric tread pattern indicates that the tire is focused on comfortable driving at high speed. High tire performance is maintained even when driving on poor quality roads and with significant tread wear. At the same time, thanks to the optimized tread compound, the Eagle Sport TZ has increased mileage. The design of the tire uses the Flat Protection technological solution - a special protective bead provides additional protection for the disc. The Goodyear Eagle Sport TZ is available in five sizes, 15" and 16".
GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERSPORT
This is the new Eagle F1 Ultra Ultra High Performance (UUHP) line of tires, which includes the SuperSport, SuperSport R and SuperSport RS models. Good-year engineers have applied state-of-the-art technology to the Super-Sport family of tires to deliver short braking distances and performance on the track without compromising equally important tire performance. A massive shoulder area with a closed tread block design allows you to control the redistribution of load in corners, and a very rigid sidewall design further enhances handling without sacrificing comfort. Despite the focus of this tire segment on dry pavement, the design of the Eagle F1 SuperSport line contains solutions that make it possible to operate on wet pavement. It is a combination tread compound with an outer section optimized for dry performance and three central sections for improved wet performance. During 2019, 25 sizes of Eagle SuperSport tires will be introduced to the market, ranging from 18" to 21". The aramid-nylon undertread layer provides the necessary rigidity for tire stability when driving at high speeds. The structure of the tread blocks prevents their excessive deformation, which has a positive effect on handling and increases the wear resistance of the tire. Due to the weight of the vehicles for which the Pilot Sport SUV is intended, the tire is constructed with a double carcass. The premium tire is emphasized by the original sidewall design with Premium Touch technology. This season the tire is presented in 49 sizes with landing diameters from 17 to 23 inches.
MICHELIN PRIMACY 4
Thanks to the use of a new generation of elastomers in the rubber compound, the tire provides a high level of grip on wet surfaces throughout its life without compromising performance. The tread pattern has been optimized to improve traction. It is distinguished by the original profile of the drainage channels, which allows to increase their width by 22% when worn to a residual tread depth of 2 mm. This solution makes it effective to remove water from the contact patch even as the tire wears out. Thus, safe use of the tire is possible throughout its entire service life, up to the minimum permissible tread depth of 1.6 mm. The braking distance of the Primacy 4 is independently tested by 0.9 meters shorter than the average competitor, and in the event of significant tread wear on both tires, the difference will be as much as 2.8 meters. Also, independent tests have shown that the average mileage of the Primacy 4 will be 18,000 km more than its competitors. This year the tire is available in 35 sizes from the 15th to the 18th bore.

In addition, given the specific use of the tire, it has a strong construction: the sidewalls of the tire reinforced with aramid fiber provide the necessary strength. The tire is available in 30 sizes with bore diameters from 17 to 22 inches. Most sizes are marked XL, which means an increased load index.
NOKIAN HAKKA BLUE 2 SUV
Tire for SUVs and crossovers. Its robust construction, combined with a reinforced sidewall, including the use of aramid fibers, allows it to withstand bumps and cuts during operation. Stone removers in the center grooves provide extra durability, while off-road lugs in the shoulder areas enhance traction. Hybrid tread compound improves wet weather safety: this next-generation rubber compound delivers effective wet traction. In addition, original lamellas are used in the tread layer, which contribute to the rapid removal of water from the contact patch. Improved types of polymers and an improved structure of silica used in the rubber compound reduce friction, which in turn leads to lower heating of the tire. Lower tire temperatures reduce rolling resistance and therefore fuel consumption. The Hakka Blue 2 SUV model is offered in 21 sizes with landing diameters from 16 to 19 inches with speed indices H (210 km/h) and V (240 km/h).
NOKIAN ROCKPROOF
An off-road oriented tire for light trucks and SUVs. The tread blocks are equipped with supports located at different angles, which makes them as stable as possible and contributes to precise control. Special stone removers prevent stones from getting stuck in the tread and increase tire life. Aramid fibers are used in the sidewall rubber compound, which makes this part of the tire more resistant to cuts and damage, and the hybrid rubber compound prevents damage to the tread layer. The tire is presented in eight sizes with landing diameters of 16 and 17 inches and a speed index Q (up to 160 km/h).
PIRELLI NEW P ZERO
According to the developers, a feature of the new tire is maximum stability even at the highest speeds. The technology, the essence of which is the use of a particularly hard rubber compound in the bead area, has appeared thanks to the experience in the development and production of tires for Formula 1 racing. This solution provides the fastest and most accurate steering response without loss of traction in the transverse direction. The use of another special technology made it possible to flatten the contact patch, which contributes to more even wear and increased tire durability. The increased number of tread grooves, as well as the deepening and widening of the channels, made it possible to increase the volume of water removed from the contact patch by 10%, which increased the tire's resistance to hydroplaning. The special tread pattern also made it possible to reduce the noise level emitted by the tire while driving. A number of new solutions used in the development and production of the tire made it possible to reduce rolling resistance by 15%, which significantly affects fuel efficiency. Today, under the same name P Zero, several technically different tire options are produced, and each of these options is designed for a specific type of car. For cars with more pronounced sporty characteristics, there is a P Zero Sport car option with a less embossed tread (photo on the left), the second option P Zero Luxury saloon (photo on the right) is more suitable for luxury sedans.
PIRELLI SCORPION VERDE AII SEASON
The tire is designed for SUVs and crossovers. The optimized tire profile and the use of innovative materials have resulted in a 10% reduction in weight and a 20% reduction in rolling resistance, which contributes to comfort and fuel economy. Thanks to the often spaced longitudinal and transverse lamellas, directional stability is increased on wet and lightly snowy roads. The large contact patch and four wide longitudinal grooves in the tread pattern provide effective water evacuation, increasing the level of safety on wet roads. The tire is presented in 31 standard sizes (taking into account 2 Run Flat sizes) with landing diameters from 16 to 22 inches and with a width of 215 to 285 mm.
TOYO OPEN COUNTRY A/T PLUS
This premium crossover and SUV tire features both aggressive design and high performance. Compared to its predecessor, the Open Country A/T, the tire has been updated with a new tread compound, tread design and sidewall design to improve most of its predecessor's performance (dry and wet handling, acoustic comfort, rolling resistance coefficient). The model is suitable for operation both in urban conditions and for light off-road use. By this season, the number of tire sizes has grown significantly - there are now 60 of them with landing diameters from 15 to 20 inches.
TOYO PROXES SPORT
This Toyo Tires model fulfills the key requirements that high-performance car drivers place on tires: handling at high speeds and grip on wet roads. Toyo Tires has strived to provide these characteristics without sacrificing dynamic comfort and tire mileage. When developing Proxes Sport, Nano Balance technology was used to optimize the rubber compound. It allows you to simulate and analyze the interaction of the components of the mixture at the nanoscale and mix the components with high accuracy. The result is a firmer, more wear-resistant compound and reduced tire rolling resistance. The tire structure is also engineered with the most advanced technologies, which, combined with an optimized tread pattern, provide more precise handling. This season, the tire is available in the widest range of sizes with bore diameters from 17 to 20 inches.
TOYO PROXES SPORT
These UHP-class sports tires are designed for urban SUVs and crossovers. The key requirements for this class of car are the same as those declared for the entire Proxes Sport range - high-speed handling and wet grip, but without sacrificing comfort and mileage. The tread design uses such solutions as rounded edges of the ribs (allows even distribution of pressure in the contact patch), blocks of the original shape (improved handling and grip), ribs with an increased number of sipes on the inside of the tread (improved traction properties on wet roads and lowering the level noise), rigid ribs on the outer side of the tread (high grip and cornering stability). The strong carcass and rigid construction of the tire also contribute to the stability of the tire when maneuvering, while the special sidewall rubber compound increases rigidity and contributes to fuel efficiency. The tire is presented in a wide range of sizes with landing diameters from 17 to 20 inches.
TOYO TRANPATH MPZ
Toyo Tires developed its own T-Mode computer simulation technology to design the tread pattern of this tire, and the rubber compound was developed using the original Nano Balance technology, a solution that reduced rolling resistance, improved wet braking and comfort, and increased wear resistance. The latter is also provided by the tread design. Other Tranpath mpZ design features include original 3D sipes (prevent uneven tread wear and increase block stability during braking and maneuvering), cord layers wrapped around the bead ring and high into the shoulder area (high-speed directional stability), grooved groove walls (reduces high-frequency noise from the tread). The tire is presented in 41 standard sizes with landing diameters from 14 to 18 inches.
VIATTI STRADA ASIMMETRICO
Lightweight tire with an asymmetric tread pattern that gives it a high level of handling and braking properties on both dry and wet surfaces, as well as contributing to stability both in straight line driving and when maneuvering. The original solution is the variable stiffness of the sidewall, achieved by adding a patented co-synthesis product to the rubber compound. This technology allows the tire to adapt to road conditions, softening bumps on bumpy roads and increasing sidewall stiffness when driving at high speeds. Wide longitudinal grooves (with different widths on the outer and inner sides) effectively drain water from the contact patch, and transverse grooves accelerate water drainage, increasing the hydroplaning threshold. The outer and inner parts of the tread provide good handling due to the hard rubber mass in the shoulder area. The temperature range of operation of the tire is from 2 to 55 ° C, in the range there are 31 sizes with bore diameters from 13 to 18 inches.
VIATTI BOSCO A/T
A tire with a symmetrical tread pattern designed for crossovers and SUVs. The operation of Viatti Bos-co A/T is focused on light off-road and country roads. Like the Viatti Strada Asim-metrico, it uses variable sidewall stiffness technology based on the original rubber compound. Four longitudinal grooves quickly evacuate water from the contact patch, which is facilitated by the non-uniform geometry and pointed shapes of the central blocks, which effectively break the water surface. Transverse grooves of different geometry, located in the central area of the tread, and sipes of the original shape reduce noise from the tire when driving. The tread pattern has a rigid central rib and reinforced longitudinal rows of blocks, which provides high stability in a straight line and the ability to maneuver at high speed. Wide transverse grooves in the shoulder areas, coupled with special lugs between the lamellas of the shoulder blocks, increase patency. The carcass design of the tire contributes to its stability even during active driving. Depending on the profile width, Bosco A/T tires have two tread patterns - tires with a width of 215 mm or more have an additional stiffening rib. The range of the tire includes 21 standard sizes with landing diameters from 15 to 18 inches.
YOKOHAMA BLUEARTH-ES ES-32
The tire for owners of cars of average and compact classes. The BluEarth-Es ES-32 model is characterized by a stable tire-to-road contact patch, which, together with the stiffness and strength of the tread, prevents uneven wear and ensures a long tire life. The combination of deep lugs and sipes provides a high level of traction, while wide grooves in the central tread area effectively evacuate water to prevent hydroplaning. The variation of the tread blocks minimizes sound resonance, which helps to provide a high level of acoustic comfort.
YOKOHAMA BLUEARTH RV-02
A tire with an asymmetric tread pattern designed for modern crossovers and minivans. The optimized tread pattern of the BluEarth RV-02 promotes even pressure distribution when the tire contacts the road surface, which ensures a high level of handling. A rigid double rib on the inside of the tire and a strong shoulder area provide stability when maneuvering, while the grooves in the central part of the tread effectively evacuate water, reducing the risk of aquaplaning. The shoulder area has a golf ball pattern, which creates an aerodynamic effect that reduces tire noise while driving and improves acoustic comfort.
YOKOHAMA BLUEARTH-VAN RY55
The tire is designed for owners of light trucks, vans and pickups. The wide profile tread of the BluEarth-Van RY55 has increased stiffness and strength, which prevents uneven tire wear and extends tire life. The combination of deep lateral grooves and sipes, as well as wide longitudinal grooves, not only effectively drains water from the tire contact patch, preventing hydroplaning, but also improves braking performance on wet surfaces. The variability of the tread blocks not only prevents uneven wear, but also improves acoustic comfort.
YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR M/T GOO3
Tire for frame SUVs and pickups. It has a wide-profile tread pattern that continues on the sidewall, which improves the tire's flotation in off-road conditions. The 3-ply construction of the tire increases its resistance to side cuts, and the nylon tape under the tread layer increases the durability of the latter. Optimized tread pattern improves traction on difficult road surfaces. The design of the tire also involves protecting the wheel rim from damage.
YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR X-CV G057
Tire with asymmetric tread pattern for premium and sporty crossovers. Wide grooves in the central part of the tread effectively remove water from the tire's contact patch with the road. The combination of 2D and 3D sipes improves both dry and wet traction and mileage. Silica microparticles (silica) in the tread compound provide consistent dry performance, while silica-bound polymers improve wet performance. In addition, the use of polymers reduces tire overheating, which helps to reduce rolling resistance. Due to the variation of the tread blocks, sound resonance is reduced, which leads to an increase in acoustic comfort.
YOKOHAMA GEOLANDAR X-MT G005
A tire with a symmetrical tread pattern with high off-road capability for specially prepared pickups, SUVs and crossovers. The tread pattern is an image of natural stone “integrated” into it. Grousers on the sidewall of the tire and grooves in the tread blocks provide the tire with additional opportunities when driving off-road.
Hello fans prokorobok and successful cars! Soon I will get into your ranks of happy motorists of these car models uraaaa! Well, in general, on the topic of tires, I will say from the point of view of a professional in this area. I myself have been selling this stuff in the tire center for 4 years! I go to seminars of different manufacturers of imported tires consistently 2-3 times a year and talk to people about it 11 hours a day and 5 days a week!
I'll start with the mistakes of everyone who believes in some kind of "ratings")) tires - sorry for the expression garbage because. test tires in different weather conditions + on different cars + different sizes + buying this very rating (no one was caught by the hand, but it is possible), tests are the lot, believe me, not our budget magazines like driving, auto review, etc. True estimates can be given by German independent companies TUV SUD, ADAC, if anyone is interested, look at off sites, but there is one thing, but this is the climate and, again, everyone has their own climate. There is a FACT that at a temperature of -20 the density of ice becomes such that the thorn does not pierce it, but scratches it! At the expense of all-weather tires, there is no such rubber compound in nature that it would be under all temperature conditions in summer, respectively - summer, winter - winter, an all-weather tire, of course, our grandfathers and fathers drive it. it was not particularly possible to choose, and then try to find at least something in Soviet times) an all-weather tire is summer, autumn, spring, but not like winter! it hardens in the cold and loses its properties. As for the opinions that they say that I bought a Nokia, it’s just everything, but I went, let’s say, on the Michelin, all the spikes for the season lost trouble and not rubber, I can comment like this - take at least the most domestic slag and roll the spike normally i.e. the first 100 km without excessive acceleration and sharp braking no more than 60 km per hour and even Yaroslavl will please you with its studding, this is a fact !!! At the expense of Nokia, I can say one attention! - if your climate is not severe, asphalt is not observed throughout the winter, then this is your choice. she has a large protrusion of the spike, but on the pavement, a car on nokia is like a cow on ice, believe me) for ice, yes, it’s very even nothing, again, up to -20, and if it’s still moderate winter in your city and mostly asphalt, take michelin xin2 there with protrusion of the spike everything is ok. For icy roads, Gislaved Nord Frost 5 behaves very well and Continental Ice Contact tried no complaints except for noise, and without it, it’s like spikes! From Russian manufacturers, I can advise Cordiant snow max, unlike kam, etc. more elastic and soft + holds not bad, I will notice in comparison with imports this is heaven and earth in all respects, even in shock resistance, imports will be more interesting! At the expense of friction rubber (Velcro in the common people), rubber is better on snow than spikes, but spikes are more effective on asphalt! I consider the Bridgestone revo gz to be one of the best friction clutches the Japanese know how to make, half of my colleagues use it both in the city and on the highway! I’ll tell you not much about expensive tires, comrades don’t have to think that they say I bought the most expensive import and I won’t have problems, they will! It must be understood that it is first of all necessary to observe the speed limit, especially for those who do not have much driving experience, regardless of whether it is an import or a domestic tire!
I won’t say much about the summer, some people think that the thicker the sidewall, the stronger it is again a delusion! There is such a property as elasticity, take the example of Bridgestone and Michelin, the bridge seemed to be a very strong sidewall, harsh rubber, but there are fewer repairs for the Michelin (I talked with tire fitters and I know about it myself). they are able to do it. Winter yes Nokia is not very bad but summer neeeeee) very weak sidewall, a little bump keep the boob in the wheel and wait for the disc editing checked more than once!
Well, perhaps all dear members of the forum, if there are any clarifications or questions about tires or disks, ask if there is experience in this and not frail, I will answer everyone. Good luck on the road and God bless you!
