Enhanced engine flushing Oil-Schlamm-Spulung is used to clean engines in a state of severe contamination and in the presence of sludge formed in the system after prolonged overheating, abnormal oil changes, water ingress into the system, use of low-quality oils and fuel. A strong level of pollution is indirectly indicated by the presence of ointment-like deposits under the oil cap. Helps to eliminate problems caused by contamination of the system, such as noise in the drive of the chain, the sound of hydraulic lifters. Recommended for vehicles over 100,000 km. It is poured 150-200 km before an oil change.

Properties

Dissolves the strongest sludge and varnish deposits. Thanks to a special package of additives and a long-lasting action, it penetrates deep into the most inaccessible places and cleans all internal hydraulic drives in the engine: hydraulic compensators, hydraulic tensioners, VVT-i, V-TEC, VANOS, etc. - Extends the service life of a new oil - Thanks to a package of protective additives in engine oil safely cleans the engine and forms a protective layer that reduces friction - Contains a complex for the care of rubber parts of the system - Completely leaves the system together with old oil Flushing is universal for diesel and gasoline engines

Application

Add to the old oil in a warm engine 150-200 km before the planned change date at the rate of 300 ml per 5 liters of engine oil. Operate the vehicle as usual without exceeding 2/3 of the engine power. After passing 150-200 km, drain the old oil, replace the oil filter. Fill with fresh high quality oil.

- highly effective agent

Advantages: high efficiency

Cons: Virtually none

Good afternoon, dear readers of the site Review pro.

In a word, we launch them and bring them to the handle, squeezing out the last juices, and after that we also demand the impossible from them. Of course they are patient, but in any case it is necessary to change this approach.

Features of long-term flushing of the engine.

In order to improve the operation of the engine in my car, I decided to use a complex preparation designed for long-term flushing with active protection of the oil system. This drug is used two hundred kilometers before its replacement and helps to improve its circulation and heat removal from engine parts. A distinctive feature of this product is the possibility of using it in both gasoline and diesel internal combustion units. One bottle of the substance is designed for two and a half liters of the system.

The tool is absolutely safe for all rubber products, that is, seals, oil seals, oil scrapers and is compatible with all types of motor oils. Gradually removes all impurities formed during long-term use. It should be noted that in this case there is no clogging of the channels of the system and, moreover, it is not deposited on their walls, since it completely evaporates during operation. It has absolutely no effect on the quality and properties of the oil poured into the engine.

For the use of this tool, there are certain prerequisites, which can be fully attributed to such as significant engine pollution, a significant excess of mileage before changing the oil, after using low-quality fuel or lubricant, as well as after operation with faulty fuel equipment or low pressure.

If we talk about the methodology for using this composition, it should be noted that it is very simple. First you need to shake the bottle thoroughly and do it continuously for at least five minutes at an ambient temperature of at least twenty degrees Celsius with a plus sign. After that, pour the composition into the unit warmed up to operating temperature through the neck. After this procedure, you should start the car and let it run for twenty minutes in normal mode, then drain the engine oil and replace it with a new one.

Of course, like any chemical composition, the agent is moderately toxic, and as a result, it can have a moderate irritating effect when it comes into contact with the skin or mucous membranes. Therefore, when working with it, it is necessary to observe special precautions and prevent exposure to your body. In case of contact with the skin, immediately remove it from the surface and wash first with a stream of clean water and then with warm water and soap. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. In case of ingestion, seek immediate medical attention.

To date, this type of product can be purchased in almost all specialized stores in our country and, depending on the brand, its cost can range from four hundred to six hundred rubles per bottle. As a rule, its volume is three hundred and twenty milliliters, although both smaller and larger volumes can be found. Certainly with a slight difference in price. This product has proven itself from the best side and is rightfully very popular among motorists. The company has been present on the market for more than fifteen years and its technologies are known far beyond the borders of the country.

During the operation of a vehicle with different (diesel, gasoline), car owners quite often encounter recommendations to flush.

Flushing the engine for prevention may be advised at a car service before a scheduled oil change, flushing may also be necessary after certain malfunctions have been eliminated (,), when switching from one oil to another, etc.

At the same time, not all drivers are sure not only of the need, but also of the benefits of such a flush for the motor. Next, we will talk about what results should be expected if you use engine flush oils and flushes. The flush test in practice will also help answer many controversial questions.

Read in this article

Why is it recommended to flush the engine before changing the oil?

  • Flushing oils were used last in the test, which involve flushing the lubrication system under load. After draining such a flush and filling in fresh grease, the new oil turned out to be in good condition in all respects, except that the viscosity decreased slightly.

Note that the engine in this case was also opened. At the same time, no dangerous deposits were found in the pan, that is, they were dissolved. Compared to the fast “five-minutes”, the result turned out to be noticeably better.

What is the result

As you can see, the test of flushing oils and flushes for the engine clearly demonstrates the situation and allows us to draw certain conclusions. However, it is important to understand that it is still impossible to unequivocally answer the question of whether it is worth flushing the engine before changing the oil.

First of all, you need to make an adjustment for a specific engine, its condition, operating conditions, service intervals for lubrication changes, the quality of the oil used, etc. For example, if the owner pours the same good quality lubricant, and also always changes it every 7-8 thousand km, then flushing is not needed. Even non-draining residues cannot cause much harm to fresh lubricant.

At the same time, it is better to flush the motor when changing the type, class and manufacturer of oil (when switching from one brand to another, from, etc.). Also, flushing is also desirable when, for various reasons, the service interval was increased, antifreeze or antifreeze got into the oil (appeared), occurred. The engine also needs to be flushed if the previous service history of the car is unknown.

Do not forget that there is always a risk of pouring into. If this happens, then the power unit must be washed, and especially carefully. In this case, the washing method is determined by the owner himself, in which the above test can help.

Flushing oil for the engine: in what cases and how is it used, what is included in the composition, advantages and disadvantages of this type of flushing of the lubrication system.

  • Features and types of flushing oils, how to use them. In what cases it is necessary to use flushing oil, which brand and type of flushing is better to choose.

  • During the operation of the car, even when using high-quality motor oils, harmful carbon deposits inevitably form on the internal surfaces of the engine and the channels of the lubrication system. When changing oil, some old used engine oil also inevitably remains in the internal cavities of the engine. Therefore, if fresh engine oil is poured immediately after draining the engine used without prior flushing, the detergent additives of the newly filled oil will immediately begin to actively dissolve all these deposits and contaminants remaining in the engine, which in turn can lead to a number of extremely negative consequences: in particular , to partial clogging of the oil filter and, accordingly, to a decrease in the efficiency of its operation, as well as to the premature development of an additive package and the loss of detergent properties of fresh engine oil. All this has the most detrimental effect on the engine resource and its power characteristics.

Today, the need to flush the lubrication system when changing engine oil is quite obvious, no one doubts and does not need any additional justification. Nevertheless, given the importance of this problem, let us dwell on this in more detail.

THE MECHANISM FOR THE FORMATION OF HARMFUL DEPOSITS IN THE ENGINE

In the combustion chamber of a gasoline engine, where the fuel-air mixture enters, it ignites, completely or partially combusts, resulting in carbon deposits. In addition, the products of incomplete combustion of fuel are the cause of the formation of varnish deposits on the internal surfaces of the engine. Further, most of the combustion products leave through the exhaust system, however, a small part of the gases breaks into the crankcase and, accordingly, comes into contact with the engine oil. In this case, the oil is oxidized and diluted, sparingly soluble oxidation products are formed, which, in turn, additionally contribute to the formation of sludge and other deposits.

In diesel engines, in addition, sulfur enters the combustion chamber with the fuel. As a result of oxidative reactions of sulfur, during the combustion of the fuel-air mixture, harmful deposits are formed, which result in corrosion and engine wear.

    ENGINE FLUSH INTERVAL

Carbon deposits formed on the internal surfaces, channels of the lubrication system and engine parts lead not only to a deterioration in heat removal, but also to a noticeable decrease in the adhesion of oil to friction surfaces, which, accordingly, worsens the retention of the oil film on engine parts in friction units.

If these harmful deposits are not periodically removed, this can lead to an avalanche-like increase in engine wear. That is why it is necessary to regularly flush the engine with every oil change and oil filter change.

FLUSH SELECTION OF THE ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM

If the question is “to wash or not to wash?” has not been on the agenda for a long time, since the answer here is unambiguous - wash! - then the problem of choosing the optimal means for flushing the engine remains relevant. So what to wash? There are several options. The best solution is to use as a flush ... fresh engine oil of the same brand that is currently being used! The used oil is drained, fresh is poured in, the engine is allowed to run for some time, then the oil is drained again, the oil filter is replaced, and fresh engine oil is poured again. This completes the oil change operation.

The solution is optimal and ... not used by anyone. Why? - The answer is simple: proceeding from the uttermost economic inexpediency! It is easy to calculate what such an oil change will cost - exactly twice as much. If, in addition, “synthetics” are used as engine oil, then the price of such “pleasure for the engine” becomes generally sky-high.

However, some unfortunate motorists who do not flush the engine at all when changing the oil, in fact, do so. If the motorist still mistakenly believes that there is no need to flush the engine when changing the oil, then he can be advised to remove the oil dipstick after two or three days and see what color the "fresh" oil will be. Most likely, he will be very upset - after all, the oil will be almost the same black color as the previously drained mining.

Another, more rational option is the use of flushing oils. The used oil is drained, and, without changing the filter, flushing oil is poured in full. The engine is allowed to idle for 15-20 minutes, then all flush oil is drained, the oil filter is replaced, and fresh oil is poured. The key word here is "everything"! The fact is that just all the flushing oil is physically impossible to drain. Depending on the design features of the engine, about 5-10% of flushing oil inevitably remains in it. Flushing oil is usually an inexpensive thin "mineral water". This residue can significantly reduce the viscosity and other service properties of fresh engine oil. Accordingly, this has a negative impact on both the oil change period and the engine life.

The best option is to use special “five-minute” detergents and some others when changing the oil, which are poured directly into the old oil. "Five minutes" significantly increase the detergent and dispersant properties of the oil, as well as increase its fluidity. Carbonaceous and other contaminants are effectively removed from the lubrication system and internal engine cavities, and used old oil drains more completely from the engine crankcase.

The use of "five minutes" allows for better flushing of the channels of the lubrication system and the internal cavities of the engine. As a result, the mobility of compression and oil scraper piston rings is restored, heat dissipation is improved, fresh oil and filter work more efficiently, engine wear is minimized, and engine life is increased.

The use of "five minutes" is completely safe for rubber seals, oil seals and valve stem seals. Does not affect the viscosity and does not reduce the resource of freshly filled oil, unlike "flushing" oils. At times, in comparison with "flushing" oils, it reduces the amount of waste product to be disposed of.

    FEATURES OF FLUSHING WEAR-OUT ENGINES

When flushing engines with high mileage and in especially neglected cases, when the engine was not previously flushed during an oil change, certain care must be taken: large fragments of contaminants to be removed can pose a danger to interacting engine parts. In such cases, it is recommended to use "soft engine cleaners", which are poured into the engine 100-300 km before the oil change. They work while the car is moving, gradually transferring contaminants into finely dispersed phases that are safe for the engine.

    PROFESSIONAL ENGINE FLUSHES

    In case of constant use of low quality mineral oils (wash at least once every three oil changes);

    In case of severe overheating of the engine (usually, when overheating, the oil is highly oxidized and forms carbon deposits);

    In case of systematic use of fuel of dubious quality;

    In the event of obvious engine malfunctions: excessive oil consumption associated with “bedding”, coking of piston rings, smoke, loss of compression, poor engine start;

In case of strong and constant knocking of hydraulic lifters caused by clogging of the oil supply line.

    Assortment and technical description

FIVE MINUTE OIL SYSTEM FLUSH. Significantly improves the washing and dispersing properties of used oil. Additionally dilutes the oil, which allows you to remove contamination from the most inaccessible cavities and channels of the lubrication system. Contains special anti-seize components that provide additional protection for engine parts and guarantee complete safety of the flushing process. Promotes the most complete removal of used oil from the engine. Due to its ease of use, high efficiency and safety for the car engine, "five-minute" is in high demand among motorists. That is why this flush can be found not only on the shelves of specialized car dealerships, but also at gas stations and chain hypermarkets.

    Art. 1920

PROFESSIONAL WASHING. Flushing the engine lubrication system (art. 7507) contains a higher concentration of detergent and anti-seize components than the "five minute". The mechanism of influence on pollution is the same. Allows you to effectively wash and safely remove a variety of contaminants: carbon deposits, sludge, varnish deposits that inevitably form in the engine. The composition is so active that it allows you to remove even DEPOSITS FROM PISTONS AND FROM THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER of the engine, restoring normal compression. Promotes the removal of particles insoluble in oil and wear products of parts. Developed with a synthetic base. The composition is effective both for removing varnish deposits and soot and sludge. It can also be used to flush mechanical transmission units.

[IMPORTANT:] The time of use of flushing should not exceed 10 minutes, since the volatile components of the additive evaporate from the oil and the cleaning properties of the composition after 10 minutes of operation are sharply reduced.

    Art. 7507/2425/2428

Special flush, recommended to be used before applying the anti-friction additive "Motor Protect". Similar in action to PRO-LINE MOTORSPULUNG, but additionally performs preliminary preparation of surfaces of friction pairs for subsequent treatment with MOTOR PROTECT antifriction compound. Helps to increase the efficiency of using MOTOR PROTECT.

    Art. 1019

NUMBERS "FIVE MINUTES". Appeared in the assortment of the company relatively recently - at the end of 2009. The purpose of the release of this line of flushes is to simplify the choice of flush by the buyer with minimal involvement of the seller. This is a classic example of a “self-selling” product. The range consists of three petrol flushes, varying in efficiency and intended use, as well as a specialized diesel flush. For the convenience of buyers, washings are assigned numbers, from 1 to 3, and operational features are presented in the form of a table:

SOFT FLUSHING OF THE OIL SYSTEM (100-300 km). Effectively and gently cleans the parts of the valve mechanism, the valve cover, the grid of the oil receiver of the oil pump. The peculiarity of this washing is to remove contaminants from those parts that oil does not get under pressure, but by spraying or in the form of oil mist. Removes even old oil sludge against which other flushes are powerless. Especially recommended for flushing engines WITH HYDRAULIC COMPENSATORS and other hydraulic mechanisms, such as VVT-i, V-TEC, VANOS valve timing clutches and hydraulic timing chain tensioners. Minimally dilutes the old oil, which allows the use of flushing during the operation of the car. Ideal for flushing engines of vehicles with high mileage or in cases where the lubrication system has not previously been flushed.

    Art. 1990

FLUSHING OIL SYSTEM OF MOTORCYCLES. Specialized formula designed for gentle flushing, for engines combined in one oil sump with clutch mechanism and alternator in the same oil bath. Reliably and gently removes deposits, deposits, sludge and sediments from the oil system of 4-stroke motorcycle engines. Decokes rings, raises compression. Does not damage clutch friction linings, lacquer insulation of wires, gaskets and seals, exhaust gas catalytic converter.

    Work with objections

    Good oil cleans itself.

Answer: Towards the end of the oil's life, the detergent additives are exhausted and their effectiveness decreases. Without flushing, the contaminants remain in the engine, and the detergent additives of the newly filled oil are developed even faster - by the end of the service life, it no longer cleans, and the accumulation of contaminants becomes an avalanche.

Equipment manufacturers do not recommend washing.

Answer: In the same way, manufacturers do not recommend changing the oil in garage conditions, but insist on changing the oil in authorized car services, where engine flushes are also used. The first and main principle of creating all Liqui Moly products is DO NO HARM! Liqui Moly washes are completely SAFE. The main thing is to strictly adhere to the instructions for the use of flushes.

Washing for 5 minutes corrodes the seals.

Answer: This is not true! Liqui Moly flushes include a complex of ingredients that is aimed at restoring the elasticity of oil seals and all rubber seals. Accordingly, corrosion of seals when using Liqui Moly washes is excluded.

    Full-volume flushing oil washes better.

Answer: Such a comparison is not very correct, in fact, it is necessary to compare the composition of additives, and not the base. The oil itself is only a base, and the additive package used provides detergent properties. Therefore, a truly high-quality full-volume flush is close to conventional motor oils in terms of cost. Our flushes are a concentrated package of additives, and the oil poured into the engine is used as the base, which allows you to save both on the cost of flushing and on an additional procedure (twice drained and disposed of). The volume of additives in Liqui Moly flushes is significantly larger than in full-volume flushing oil, besides, Liqui Moly flushes contain diluting components in addition to detergents, which allows more complete draining of the used oil.

Never washed the engine and everything was fine. Why wash?

Answer: This does not mean that you have a clean engine! A dirty engine increases the risk of its emergency failure.

I'm afraid to pick up dirt, and it will clog the oil ducts, and the engine will break.

Answer: Liqui Moly washes are completely safe, as they are configured not to “separate” contaminants from surfaces, but to gently and layer-by-layer erosion of contaminants. "Thrombosis" of the system is excluded.

What can she wash in 5-10 minutes?

Answer: Flushing, first of all, dilutes the used oil, which allows the washing active components of the flush to penetrate into hard-to-reach places. In addition, it contributes to a more complete drain of used oil. As a result, the maximum possible amount of contaminants is removed from the engine.

It is better to change the oil more often than to spend extra money on flushes.

Answer: The question of economic feasibility. What is cheaper? Are you ready to change the oil twice as often and fully comply with the operating conditions, using only high-quality fuel, which is very problematic in our conditions? Only in this case you will have a relatively clean engine.

I washed it once, I don’t want to do it again (negative experience from using washes).

Answer: Find out the reason. Most likely, it is connected with one of the objections indicated in this section.

The old flushed oil will remain in the engine and degrade the properties of the new filled oil.

Answer: Quite the contrary! Old oil thickens and settles on contaminated surfaces, and flushing dilutes the used oil and contributes to a more complete removal of it from the engine.

Service station Flushing of the engine is not registered in the technological map of TO.

Answer: Engine flushing should be offered to service station customers as an additional service, referring to the difficult Russian operating conditions. In addition to benefiting the engine, flushing can bring additional income to the service.

    STO Customers refuse to wash.

Answer: Engine flushing should be offered to service station customers as an additional service, referring to the difficult Russian operating conditions. Service station customers need to be explained that this is an additional option, completely safe for the engine, on which they can make good money with the right approach.

The hydraulic lifter needs to be changed immediately.

Answer: This is a delusion, the performance of hydraulic lifters is just restored by flushing, which is much cheaper than replacement.

    I use cheaper washes.

Answer: Only a well-known company with an excellent reputation and proven products guarantees effectiveness and safety. Washes from Liqui Moly are German traditions of quality!

    High mileage car.

Answer: In this case, flushing is simply necessary to increase the resource and restore engine power. In such cases, we recommend a "soft" flush, which effectively removes old deposits and coking.

After such washing you will get to the engine bulkhead.

Answer: There is absolutely no connection between the use of flushing and engine overhaul. Overhauling is always associated with engine failure, and periodic engine flushing reduces the risk of engine failure and extends engine life.
