But be that as it may It used to be that this “SUV compact class”, which is technically considered an “illegal copy” of the second generation Toyota RAV4, is a real “bestseller” among cars from the Middle Kingdom in Russia, and the “secret of its success” is modern design and an affordable price ...
Well, the "serial history" of this compact "off-road vehicle" began in the spring of 2011 - after the official debut at the Shanghai Motor Show, but its appearance was preceded by the concept "Lifan SUV" (presented at the same exhibition, but in 2010) ... For its short "life cycle" this car has already "survived" several updates.

Gears do not turn on, the manual transmission lever dangles. The most common cause of this problem is the loss of the locking latches on the gearbox rods. Access to the installation site of the latches (clips) opens from the engine compartment (experts recommend periodically checking the reliability of their installation). As a rule, the latches (due to a design flaw in the fastening) fly off due to the vibration of a running engine and the car shaking on road bumps.
When driving, the car speed drops. As a rule, the problem is accompanied by a lack of response to pressing the gas pedal, but after several "re-gassing" the speed returns to its normal position.
There are two main reasons for this problem:
- if the malfunction occurs on a new car, then it is necessary to change the engine ECU firmware;
- if a malfunction appears on a used car, then the reason is the use of non-resistor candles not recommended by the manufacturer.
In addition, swimming or a sharp drop in speed may occur due to clogging of the throttle assembly. In this case, it is necessary to clean the throttle assembly and check the setting of the electronic gas pedal.
Knocks of the front suspension. The main reason for the appearance of knocking sounds in the front suspension of the Lifan X60 is the wear of the stabilizer struts. To fix the problem, it is necessary to replace the stabilizer struts and check the reliability of fastening of all suspension units.
The ABS light is on and the brakes are working properly. As a rule, the cause of this problem is the failure of the ABS sensors on the front wheels. Seat heating turns on "once". The reason for this behavior is the unfortunate location of the temperature sensor, which can react to the heat coming from the seated driver, which leads to too early shutdown of the heating. To fix the problem, you need to disassemble the seat and move the sensor to a deeper place. In addition, it is necessary to take into account the fact that the sensor cools down more slowly than the coil, which means that the heating can be switched on again after 15-60 seconds, depending on the temperature in the cabin.
Headlights fog up. A typical problem for the optics of this model. To eliminate it, it is necessary to remove the ventilation cap on the headlight housing and turn on the high beam for a few minutes. After sweating and evaporation of condensate, the cap must be reinstalled.

Lifan X60 2019 went on sale at the beginning of 2017, after an unscheduled restyling. To the surprise of the public, the Chinese manufacturer managed to update its Lifan X 60 model several times in two years. What, in fact, is a world record, no company is ready to boast of such a successful work.
In appearance, a lot of steps have been taken that are visible to the naked eye. In general, even the Lifan X60 photos show a more presentable design, with bright and premium elements.
Gradually, the concern began to move away from traditional trends in the Chinese industry, and is approaching the leading European competitors in terms of equipment and design. In addition, the car receives improved characteristics in the technical part and in terms of technological equipment.
Design Lifan X60 was developed in the early stages in a joint studio located in Austria. The leading designers of such giants as Opel and Volkswagen sweated over the new look. But, at the same time, as we can see, there are no obvious similarities.
It turned out quite a unique style, and in accordance with their own family image. Compared to its predecessor, you can still notice the absence of such deep gaps between parts, as was the case in the previous generation. Getting into the salon, of course, all the impressions received from the outside disappear somewhere. One thing can only be distinguished from the interior of the Lifan X60 2019, in general, the assembly and the quality of the material have improved. Design, in principle, without significant changes, because the “pulled up” panel has remained.
As we remember, in the cabin with the doors closed, there were huge gaps between the uprights, now this is not there, everything is hermetically sealed and fitted everywhere, which cannot but rejoice.
The instrument panel is small, but already made from a completely visual console, that is, there is no longer a mechanical “tidy”. Perhaps it will be offered in the “base”, but it is extremely unlikely, since only full visualization has already been announced for next year. From what space style will appear when a fully digital panel with three huge “wells” imitated as “mechanics” looks at the driver.
The steering column is the same, if you do not take into account the appearance of a small rib at the gathering of a three-digit figure. By saturation with options without changes. Even the pillow has a pleasant profile and rollers, which is felt great in corners, and from the photo of the Lifan salon it is noticeable that, in general, there is somehow more space, although the dimensions have not changed much.
Behind the space allows you to fit three tall riders without any problems. The tunnel does not stick out, the floors are low, there is a lot of space up to the front seats, so that the comfort of the rear passengers is ensured. Backs with a pleasant profile, while moving, the back is at a slight angle, which has a positive effect on comfort.
The luggage compartment is also pleasing, since for all the transformations and updates, it was not possible to reduce its volume, the same 450 liters with the correct geometry.

The Lifan X60 received technical specifications in the same plane, with the exception of a redesigned suspension, which has become much softer and more pleasant, although it has not changed at all in a constructive way. The platform is the same front-wheel drive, all-wheel drive is still not available on the domestic market.
But even without it, off-road capabilities are not bad, high ground clearance (clearance), overall dimensions, the engine, in principle, allows you to somehow go to the dacha along a terrible mud road.
