Cordiant has launched three new technologies for all-steel truck tires on the market, which distinguish the Cordiant Professional brand from other competitors, which sometimes do not take into account the harsh Russian operating conditions.

The first of them - SMART-COR technology - allowed to significantly increase the mileage resource, and thus, truck tires meet the requirements of carriers to the maximum when working on "long shoulders". The essence of the technology is the use of a special rubber compound with active carbon black-polymer interaction centers and the use of mixtures containing silica, as well as new types of polymers, in the breaker layers. All this provides increased tire wear resistance and, as a result, a long service life.

The second technology, called STEEL-COR, also makes it possible to increase strength and reliability - especially for this, Cordiant created a new U-shaped side structure, reinforced with a metal cord side tape.

Finally, STONE-COR technology uses a new 3D geometry to prevent stones from getting stuck and improve the efficiency of tread cleaning from dirt. The running part of the tire tread contains a large number of sipes, special knife slots. They are made at half the height of the blocks, which gives them additional functionality. These tread elements in contact with the road surface form a plurality of edges. At the same time, the depth of the slot allows the blocks to deviate under the influence of the load, which increases the size of the contact patch and allows the tread to better dampen shocks from road bumps.

Effective stone protection

Designed primarily for drainage, the longitudinal grooves, due to the presence of additional elements in their design, also perform other functions. In particular, special protrusions prevent stones from getting stuck in the tread, which minimizes the risk of mechanical damage to them. This noticeably increases tire life on bad roads.

Reinforced sidewalls

This model is characterized by high carrying capacity even for its category. To a large extent, they are provided by the design of the sidewalls. They contain an additional steel cord. In addition to increasing the load-bearing capacity of the tire, it gives the sidewalls an elliptical shape under load, providing a more even distribution of pressure over other load-bearing elements, as well as over the contact patch. In addition to increasing load capacity, this improves the tread's abrasion resistance.

Saves fuel

Using this tire can significantly reduce fuel costs. Savings are achieved by reducing rolling resistance. This was the result of the use of several technical solutions. One of them is the very rigid structure of the frame and sidewalls, which, thanks to their all-metal construction, are extremely resistant to deformation. Another factor is the tread design.
