What is the most powerful motorcycle. Rating of the most powerful motorcycles in the world

"Regio Design XXL Chopper" -- m the biggest bike ever

What is presented to your attention in these photographs was created in the country that gave the world the leading producers of steel stallions and their smaller brothers. These are not just big motorcycles, these are real creations of modern high-tech art.

This bike was created by an Italian named Fabio Reghiani. It was this man who first presented his miracle brainchild to everyone's attention.

The world's largest motorcycle is called the Regio Design XXL Chopper. You can't help but be proud of him, because quite recently at the Motor Bike Expo 2012 he had no competitors.

The largest motorcycle in the world was extremely quickly recognized as the most unique. The Commission of the Guinness World Records Foundation included it in the list of the most significant creations of mankind.

The bike is the largest motorcycle in the world, which is able to move, surprisingly, on its own.

Place of honor of the big Italian moto

The Guinness Book of Records awarded this huge chopper its due status only after the bike was able to independently travel a distance of 150 meters. Interestingly, the previous largest bike in the world had to travel a much shorter distance on its own.

The largest motorcycle in the world, the team of Fabio Reghiani, which has eight people, has been collecting for a long time. The designers worked hard on the creation of a giant motorcycle "Regio Design XXL Chopper" for about 7 months.

As a result of this hard work, other big motorcycles in the world were left far behind their creations.

Features of this huge Italian motorcycle

The length of the steel stallion from Reghiani was 9.75 m, and the height was 4.9 meters. At the same time, the width of the moto reaches 2.5 meters. The weight of this monster is amazing - 5.5 tons. The iron horse evokes a deep sense of amazement in everyone around. It makes you feel like a midget.

The bike is powered by an equally impressive internal combustion engine. The latter is represented by the Chevrolet V8, which has a volume of 5.7 liters and a power of 280 horses.

The largest motorcycle in the world has huge wheels that are driven using a three-speed gearbox.

Unfortunately, the Regio motorcycle is almost impossible to keep in balance while driving. Even when stationary, this monster can fall easily.

Huge bikes often face a similar problem. They are often equipped with two additional small wheels, similar to those that cling to children's bicycles. This is the only way to achieve balance.

The iron horse Regio Design XXL Chopper has confidently moved the Dream Big model from the leadership in the Guinness Book of Records. Once this largest motorcycle in the world, created by the Yankee Gregory Dunham, was striking in its height (about 3 meters) and length (6.2 m). Only in the engine did the previous record holder manage to outshine the Italian motor giant (8.2-liter unit).

If you love sports bikes and endless highways, you will probably be interested to know how much the most expensive motorcycle in the world costs. However, it is worth remembering that sometimes the price of bikes goes off scale, because they are not mass-produced and they come up with some kind of legend that adds several million to their value. In other cases, the high price is quite justified due to the expensive technological chips that were used during the production of the motorcycle.

In this selection, we have collected the 20 most expensive motorcycles of our time, which belong to both the first and second categories.

20 Kawasaki Ninja H2R

Price: 3,248,000 rubles

Kawasaki Photos

So, the cheapest bike among the most expensive was the Ninja H2R, which can be bought for just over three million rubles. Think?!

However, this motorcycle is not so easy to find, because it is produced in limited editions and is available only to those who know where to look. It is worth noting that the "Ninja" is equipped with 300 horsepower, which allows him to throw dust in the eyes of other road users. In a word, its price is quite justified.

11 Suzuki AEM Carbon Fiber Hayabusa

Price: 12 991 000 rubles

Suzuki Photos

It doesn’t cost anything to this bike to gain over 300 kilometers per hour, so for a long time it was widely known as the world’s fastest production motorcycle.

Its production was first launched in 1999, and almost ten years later (in 2008) it was updated and made even more expensive and attractive.

10 Ducati Testa Stretta NCR Macchia Nera

Price: 14,615,000 rubles

Ducati Photos

So, the top ten most expensive motorcycles in the world for 2019 are opened by Ducati Macchia Nera.

Naturally, for that kind of money, the Italians released a limited edition bike, tried to make it light enough (only 135 kilograms), and also equipped it with 185 horsepower.

Compared to many of the other bikes on our list, this may not seem like such a powerful indicator, but its performance is still on top.

9 Ducati Desmosedici D16RR NCR M16

Price: 15,265,000 rubles

Ducati Photos

Immediately another Ducati, but now a million rubles more expensive, ten kilograms heavier and 15 horsepower more powerful. Its body is made of titanium, avionics, aluminum and carbon fiber, which makes it quite strong and protected.

8 Ecosse Founder's Edition Ti XX

This Ecosse immediately hits the pocket of motorists not only because of its appearance, but also for its performance. The bike is equipped with an aluminum engine that puts out 228 horsepower to the rear wheel. What's more, the motorcycle manufacturer decided to lighten the weight and made the body of carbon fiber, which made it agile and pliable.

7 Legendary British Vintage Black

Indian Motorcycle Photos

The Legendary British Vintage Black is a classic motorcycle produced in a limited edition of 33 pieces back in 1948.

The bike has 250cc and at one time was considered the fastest production motorcycle in the world. Now it is a rarity for true connoisseurs of motorsport.

6 Dodge Tomahawk V10 Superbike

Price: 35,725,000 rubles

Apart from being one of the most expensive bikes in the world, it is quite hard to find because it is very rare. The Dodge Tomahawk V10 is what brutal bikes of the future should look like - huge, shiny and very fast.

The weight of the motorcycle reaches more than 680 kilograms, it accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds, and its maximum speed is (attention!) 645 kilometers per hour.

Unfortunately, at the moment this Dodge is not intended for road traffic, because it is a concept bike. However, perhaps when the future comes and somewhere in the world it will be possible to safely accelerate to such speeds, the company will start mass production of the model.

5 Harley Davidson Cosmic Starship

Price: 97,433,000 rubles

Photo Harley Davidson

So, the top five most expensive motorcycles in the world are opened by the space Harley Davidson, which was hand-painted by the famous artist Jack Armstrong.

That is why the bike is so expensive, because some of Jack's paintings are sold for more than three million dollars. That's what hype is.

4 Yamaha BMS Chopper

Price: 194,866,000 rubles

Yamaha Photos

This is no longer a bike, but a real work of art that is not intended for the road. The BMS Chopper is a collectible bike that should sit in the home of some wealthy biker and fill the space with its aesthetic.

Despite the fact that Yamaha is equipped with a 1700 cc engine, its main feature is the design. So, almost the entire body of the bike is covered with 24 carat gold.

3 Ecosse ES1 Spirit

Price: 233,839,000 rubles

Ecosse Photos

In third place on the list of the most expensive bikes is the limited edition titanium ES1 Spirit. The maximum speed of this bike is 370 kilometers per hour, but it is not entirely clear what causes such a price.

By the way, if you suddenly want to buy this bike, you will have to complete a two-week driving course at Ecosse headquarters.

2 1949 E90 AJS Porcupine

Price: 454,688,000 rubles

If it seemed to you that it could not be more expensive, you are mistaken. Almost half a billion rubles is worth this bike, which was produced in the middle of the last century in a limited edition of four pieces.

The cost of the bike is still so high because in 1949 the legendary racer Leslie Graham won the world championship in motorcycle racing on it.

1 Neiman Marcus Limited Edition Fighter

Price: 714 509 000 rubles

The most expensive bike in the world is this Neiman Marcus. Its manufacturer was the American network of luxury department stores Neiman Marcus, which until then had nothing to do with mechanical engineering. The company produced a motorcycle in a single copy and decided to put it up for auction for only 7,150,000 rubles.

However, the final price of this bike has risen to unprecedented heights, making it the most expensive ever. It looks the most epic!

Even in the most accurate measurements, there may be a hypothetical error. It may be scanty and, according to its principle, in practical terms, it is not so important technically, but its existence will nevertheless be known for sure, which for the idealists themselves, let's say, can become a serious obstacle.

We all understand that any technique loves accuracy. It is certainly required in the technical calculations of vehicles, and in their specific production. No less important here is the accuracy in providing the technical characteristics of this vehicle, namely, what are the dimensions of the car, how much does it weigh, what is its power and what is the torque. It's just the latter that most often causes problems.

Very often, if not to say almost always, the declared power of the automaker is striking (or rather, from the one measured on the dyno), and in the direction of overestimation of the first. It may initially seem that selfish manufacturers are trying to inflate these numbers in order to raise the value of their equipment compared to the same competitors. But in reality this is far from the case. It's just that when conducting factory testing, so many variable values \u200b\u200bare taken into account that it is very, very difficult to track them all on a conventional dynamometer, or it (the dynamometer) is simply not able to show them.

One of the many American automotive sites did their research on a dynamometer, on the power setting of motorcycles in 2015, based on which he concluded that there was an approximate discrepancy between their measurements and factory power measurements. Further, they compiled a detailed report-rating of ten of the past year 2015.

Before we start exploring this final list, we want to make a small footnote.

The presented figures are typical for motorcycle models created specifically for the American market. In European and even more so in Japanese bike models, this power may differ slightly.

Power has been measured based on independently made tests.

10. Yamaha R1 and R1M - 186.4 HP at 12.000 thousand rpm

Just a few months ago, it only took “only” 179 hp to make this list. Then the input 10th place in the ranking was occupied by Motus of the MST-R model. Times have changed! Now the minimum wage for a bike top is 186 hp. and which the Yamaha R1 model motorcycle has, leaving behind the same Motus and thereby shifting down the 2015 specification, i.e. the motorcycle models are the Aprilia RSV4 and the old 1199 Ducati Panigale which tested 181 hp. The experienced fighter motorcycle of the GSX-R1000 model with its 182.4 hp could not stand the competition.

Given such a huge investment in this firm, one could hope for a higher figure than the one that turned out.

9. BMW S1000RR - 190.4 HP at 12.500 thousand rpm

Quite recently, the previous model HP4 (derived from the S1000RR) could only be content with the last place in the table. The new basic road version of 2015 has tightened up, its capabilities have grown today, up to the same 190 hp. It is noteworthy that the year before last, sportbikes with a similar one could only count on sixth place in the ranking. This is what we mean by how fast the technologies of internal combustion engines of new generations are moving forward.

8. Suzuki Hayabusa - 194.4 hp at 9.500 thousand rpm

Just as Americans themselves are accustomed to powerful V8 engines in their cars, so it has become customary for the Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle to take its horsepower from a 1,300 cc engine. "The old horse will not spoil the furrow," says one old saying. This saying can be applied to the Hayabusa sportbike model this time as well. Until now, this old man gives heat! His measurements on the dino showed a result very close to 200 hp, which was only 5.6 "horses" short of it.

Such power of the bike directly indicates that those that were originally used on Hayabusa motorcycle models were far ahead of their time. Without any major modifications, Japanese engineers today manage to steadily increase the power of their superbike.

7. Ducati 1199 Panigale R and Superleggera - 194.4 HP at 11.250 thousand rpm

The old 1199 Panigale may have left our ranking list, but the homologated R version of it is still on the list, along with another super-expensive model like the Superleggera, which shares the same engine specification with said version. The same power output as V-Twin's Hayabusa sportbike, which is 100 k.c. less, a remarkable achievement, it must be said.

6. Ducati 1299 Panigale and Panigale S - 194.4 HP at 10.500 thousand rpm

Look friends, what some 100 cubes are capable of. The previous base model 1199 Panigale developed and carried “only” 181 hp, and in 2015 a few additional cubes raise its power to 194.4 hp. With the increased volume, the revolutions themselves also decreased, at which they reached 750 rpm, when compared with those of the Superleggera model motobikes or with the R version.

5. MV Agusta F4, F4R, F4RR and F4RC - 197.1 HP at 13.600 thousand rpm

You and I must marvel at the company's achievement with the MV Agusta in making the F4 engine so powerful and amazing. Without some 3 (three) horses, almost 200 horsepower! And all this despite the fact that we have a simple 998-cc base design, which, by the way, can hardly be called the latest in modern times. In 2016, it should be replaced by a completely new four-cylinder engine. What does it mean? We are confident that "Agusta" will be able to overcome the power limit of 200 hp. in its sports motorcycle line.

4. Kawasaki Ninja H2 - 197.1 HP at 11.000 thousand rpm

The power of the Kawasaki H2 sportbike, as it turned out, exactly matched the one declared by the manufacturer - 197 hp. The track model of the H2R showed how, when it should not meet the principles of limiting environmental emissions. Nevertheless, all the same, such a motorcycle will not be released on the road. But the H2 model is all right with environmental friendliness, this is one of the “greenest” sportbikes on the market. And at the same time one of the most powerful.

3. Yamaha V-Max - 197.4 HP at 9.000 thousand rpm

Another motorcycle legend, the V-Max model. Despite its very strange roots in the intricacies of which there are clear signs of incest, this sportbike model shows quite good results over and over again. Its huge 1.679 cc engine easily produces 197.4 hp. at 9.000 thousand rpm. The Americans received such indicators during their tests-measurements. In terms of torque, this 1.6 liter generally surpassed all other rivals by a whole head.

The only negative of this V-Max model, which is logical, is that it is excessively heavy.

2. Aprilia RSV4 RR, RSV4 RF (Model 2016) - 198.5 HP at 13.000 thousand rpm

Most recently, the Aprilia had a “modest” 181 hp engine, but the latest tuning for the 2016 model year motorcycle has made a serious improvement in it. The result is 198.5 hp, the most powerful serial liter that is sold in America at the moment.

It is surprising, but true, why so few people buy such a technological masterpiece.(?)

1. Kawasaki ZX-14R (ZZR1400) - 207.9 HP at 10.000 thousand rpm

It was number one last time and remains so to this day. This did not cause any particular problems for the ZX-14R sportbike, 2016 will show in the future whether the hegemony of this sportbike will continue in the future.

The ZX-14R sportbike model, known in Europe as the ZZR1400 model, may be a throwback from the point of view of the passing "battles" of the maximum speeds of the Blackbird / Busa / ZX-12R motorbike model, the turn of the present millennium, but no one doubts its effectiveness No.

Power is not the most important thing in a motorcycle. So it is quite possible that the most of all there are may not show the most impressive results on the motorcycle track. But nevertheless, an additional 10 horses can always come in handy on straight sections, where it will be difficult to find equal ZX-14R sportbikes.

And it goes without saying that Kawasaki motorcycle owners are the only ones who can officially say or claim today that they own a production bike with more than 200 hp. As they say, a trifle, but nice! See you friends.

Translated just like that, for fun, with minor cuts.

Size matters?

Size is a moot point. The answer to the question about the meaning of size may be different, depending on your choice - “bigger is better”, “small is beautiful” or “the main thing is skill”.

But when it comes to bikes and their weight in particular, the generally accepted statement is usually “less is more”. Bike builders will constantly brag about a 17-gram weight reduction in some invisible component deep inside the engine, but you will never see statements like “look, our bike is heavier than everyone else!”.

Unfortunately, trying to select the ten lightest bikes on the current market will result in a top list consisting of a list of scooters or mopeds. So instead we made a list of "fatties".

So, who is in the top 10 heaviest bikes on the current market?

10. Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special - 385 kg

A loaded 385 kg Road Glide weighs the same as a Penguin AGM-119B anti-ship missile or about the weight of an adult Caribbean leatherback turtle.

9. Honda F6B - 385 kg

Matching the Road Glide in weight, the F6B weighs just as much as the 1968 Porsche 909 Bergspyder. Which, by the way, also had a horizontally opposed engine about the same size as Honda's, albeit with eight cylinders and 275 horses, not six pots with 118 horsepower.

8. Victory Vision Tour - 386 kg

The Victory Vision Tour is only a tad heavier than both of the bikes above it, though it's worth noting that the Victory only lists dry weights, while the others list curb weights. If the curb weight figures were available, then the bike would have fairly moved up the list. But even a dry 386 kg is the same as the weight of a 12-inch naval gun shell from the First World War.

7. Harley-Davidson CVO Street Glide - 395 kg

The gleaming £28,630 CVO Street Glide stands out from its less ostentatious brethren in part for its brash looks and in part for its ridiculously powerful sound system with a pair of 300-watt amps. So it makes sense that it weighs the same as the AeroDream One, the world's craziest £399,000 iPod music dock that's as shiny, loud and not exactly practical as a Harley , you need to climb the stairs).

6. Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic - 399 kg

Not the biggest surprise, but there are several Harleys in the Top. Slightly less than 400 kg, the Electra Glide Ultra Classic turned out to be exactly equal in weight to one blade of the Mi-26 propeller, the world's largest mass-produced helicopter. In fairness, we must not forget that the helicopter has eight such blades, but again it weighs 28 tons and can carry another 20 tons of cargo. Which will fit 50 pieces of Electra Glide Ultra Classic.

5. Kawasaki VN1700 Voyager - 406 kg

We've finally crossed the 400-pound mark, and this time it's not a Harley. While the Ultra Classic in 6th place is equal in weight to one helicopter blade, the VN1700 Voyager weighs as much as an entire helicopter. In fact, 406 kg is the curb weight of not only the Voyager, but also the Hughes 269A, the classic light training helicopter used by the US Army in the 60-80s.

4. Indian Roadmaster - 408 kg

Another non-Harley, Indian's heaviest vehicle, is equal in weight to the RD-0110, the engine for the third stage of the Soyuz launch vehicle. Indian is not as fast and powerful (298 kilonewtons from a rocket engine), but much more convenient.

3. Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited - 414 kg

The Roadmaster may be as heavy as a rocket engine, but the Harley Ultra Limited weighs as much as an entire aircraft. In fact. 414 kg is the mass of the Genesis space probe [disputed point, could not be verified], which flew 1.5 million km towards the Sun and collected samples of the solar wind between 2001 and 2004. Unfortunately, when returning to Earth, the probe's parachute failed and it crashed into Earth at 311 km/h - apparently as fast as the Ultra Limited under the same conditions.

2. Honda Goldwing - 421 kg

Surely you assumed that the Gold Wing would appear on this list? The question was only in what position of Top he would be. As it turned out, 421 kg curb weight is not enough for first place. This is the weight of a Pratt & Whitney PW100 turboprop.

1. Harley CVO Road Glide Ultra - 439 kg

And the biggest of all the big ones is, of course, the Harley again. The curb CVO is the heaviest bike in the company's range (with a similarly hefty £29,130 price tag). 439 kg is about 70 stone [probably only the British will understand the scale], as much as he weighed at his peak
