How to remove the heater core

How to fix a leaking heater core

If the radiator of the VAZ 2107 heater or another classic Zhiguli model is leaking, then there are several ways to fix the problem:

  • apply special additives;
  • repair the old heat exchanger.

The part itself must be immersed in a bucket of water. If there are no air bubbles, then the repair was successful. Otherwise, the soldering is repeated or the part is simply replaced with a new one.

The pressure in the radiator when checking the tightness should not be more than 1 kgf / cm².

How to install a heat exchanger
