The BSZ block consists of semiconductor electronic components, this is clear from the name of the system.

Contact ignition system (carburetor)

The next task is to determine the moment of ignition. To do this, work with a distributor. Take the key to thirteen and make several rotations of the nut in the direction of unscrewing. Next, the algorithm is:

• Take a 12 volt lamp and connect two power wires to it.
• Connect one of them to the ground of the machine, and the second to one of the coil terminals (the one from which the secondary voltage comes out).
• Scroll the cover of the distributor. Turn until the lamp goes out.
• Put everything in the same position and use the car.

As a rule, such a setting of the ignition timing of the VAZ-2107 gives good results and helps to solve a number of problems, eliminate problems with starting, reduce fuel consumption and even improve the dynamics of the car.

Contactless (electronic) ignition, carburetor

Prepare the instrument for tuning. You will need keys (for eight, ten and thirteen), a Phillips screwdriver, a drill and a couple of self-tapping screws.

Pre-install the contactless system itself, consisting of the following elements:

Trambler. Start by replacing the distributor by lifting the cover of the latter (this is how you get access to the slider). Put the slider in a position that can be easily set during installation. It is desirable that the notch be on the block opposite the middle mark on the scale of the device.

Use a spanner thirteen to twist the mounting nut, and then dismantle the assembly. Now disconnect the central wire that combines the coil and distributor. Mount the contactless type sensor, and set the slider taking into account the mark made earlier. Expose the distributor housing along the notches. Put on the cover and return the wires to their place.

Coil. The next step is to move on to the ignition coil. Take the key for eight and twist the wires that are connected to the device. Now, with a ten key, discard the assembly from the car body.

Install a new coil, taking into account the position of contacts B and K.

Fix the coil and connect discarded and new wires to the contact group. Pay attention to the colors of the latter (as a rule, they are identical for the old and new devices). Attach a brown wire to clamp K, and a blue wire to B. Now connect the center wire.

• Switch. Start by choosing a location for this node. In the seven, the best point for mounting is between the headlight on the left side and the washer. In this area there is a flat area on which the device is placed. To get started, lean the switch, and mark the places for mounting. Then screw in the screws. Do not rush to twist the second fastener, put a black wire under it.

Ignition adjustment in static position:

Remember that the advance angle setting may not be enough often the carburetor itself needs to be adjusted. To do this, find a couple of screws. One of them you regulate the quality, and the other quantity. Also clean the carburetor from time to time.

Often on the forums there is a question of how to set the ignition on a VAZ-2107 with an injection engine. The answer in this case will be original in any way. The thing is that on a car with an injector, adjusting the ignition is the task of the ECU. At the same time, special sensors are engaged in collecting information. It is they who determine the moment of ignition, as well as other parameters, subsequently transmitting them to the main unit. All that is required of you is to ensure that the timing chain (belt) is correctly tensioned. If problems still appear, it is necessary to flush the injector with the replacement of failed nodes.
