On either side, the engine of the DT-75 tractor is closed by a hood from moisture and dirt. In its front part there are radiators (for water and oil), closed with a special curtain made of tarpaulin. In the rear of the engine there is a power transmission with a main clutch, a powerful cardan transmission (it is also a connecting one), a rear axle, a torque amplifier, a gearbox. The planetary increase in the moment of force on this tractor gives an increase of 25% in tractive effort in any of the gears, however, by reducing the speed of the machine. The manual transmission has 7 gears: the main gear is equipped with two bevel gears, and the side gear is equipped with two spur gears. A planetary swivel mechanism is built into the rear axle, and the entire structure, together with the box, is assembled in a single cast body: this made it possible to make a more rigid frame and ensure the transmission works in cleaner conditions. In the rear axle there is a pair of planetary rotary mechanisms (single-stage), equipped with a band brake.

The shaft that takes power for mounted implements in this tractor belongs to a dependent type: rotational power is transmitted to it through a gearbox mounted on the back wall of the transmission shell, from the main shaft in the moment of force increaser. To activate or deactivate the PTO, you do not need to leave the cab - the lever that activates it is located in the tractor driver's cab.
