  • Replacement of parts subject to natural wear, including drive belts, wiper blades, clutch disc, brake pads, discs, tires;
  • Damage to the paintwork of the body and chassis parts resulting from external influences, including as a result of the mechanical impact of road surface elements (crushed stone, gravel, sand, etc.) and as a result of exposure to chemically active substances (salt, anti-icing reagents, plant juice etc.) atmospheric phenomena, waste products of birds and animals.

It is forbidden to open seals, labels or stickers available on instrumentation, electrical equipment, fuel injection systems and the engine, because. this will void the warranty.

Quite often, friends and relatives ask me a question about the guarantee. Like, then you were going to go through everything, and you won’t go beyond the operating regulations. Is there any reason? What does this guarantee of yours give, except for the hassle of visiting the dealer once every few months? I decided to go the other way. Everything is quite simple: open the service book of the car and read what it says about the warranty.

Parts and assemblies with a limited warranty.
Time or mileage limit, whichever comes first:

In the end, everyone chooses for himself: keep the warranty and follow the manufacturer's strict rules for servicing the Patriot, or service the car yourself and not use the warranty. How do you like the situation when a four-month-old Patriot stops at 2200 km and does not go any more? Right on the move, the engine speed drops, traction disappears and the “Check Engine” light comes on - that's it, we've arrived. That is how the owner began his story, which he had to evacuate to the service.

But the problem is not only that a brand new car has stopped starting and moving. The trouble is different: the dealer refused to service it as a warranty one. Not only did the owner find out about its condition after receiving the car at the AvtoGermes technical center (Varshavskoe shosse, 125) (every day the employees asked to “call back tomorrow”), but in the end he found out that he would have to pay for repairs himself. And this, we repeat, despite the fact that his Patriot did not even have time to survive the first MOT, which is carried out at 2500 km.

Theoretically, this is possible if we are talking about a breach of warranty obligations on the part of the consumer, caused, for example, by improper operation of the vehicle. But what was reported does not fall under any logical explanation - it turns out that the Patriot refused to go because of the pieces of iron thrown by the car owner into the engine cylinders!

How high is the "professionalism" of the "Hermes" mechanics, if they could not come up with a more absurd reason to refuse a guarantee? Nevertheless, according to Andrey Ivanov, the head of the repair shop, a washer was found in one engine cylinder, and a grover in the other. That's because her driver mocked her beloved "swallow"!

But the last “teapot” knows that if the most microscopic foreign body penetrated the cylinders, it would roar and make unpleasant mechanical sounds almost immediately. And it would have ended with the most severe bullying in the cylinders, after which the engine caught a “wedge”. Exit - at best, overhaul, at worst - replacement.

However, AutoGermes happily reported that they had successfully removed the grover bolts, and the engine was running like clockwork. You just have to pay for repairs, because under the guarantee the motors do not sleeve, as, however, they do not change, and even more so after they are purposefully destroyed. At the same time, the servicemen could not show the cylinder block, crushed to smithereens, limiting themselves to photographs, which show carefully placed pieces of iron in a pristine cylinder.

It seems that the problem lurked in something else: according to independent experts, most likely -. Probably a glitch in the brain and initiated the engine shutdown, putting the car into emergency mode. Perhaps the service workers did not even understand the reason for the failure of the power unit, but simply reset the error or, at worst, reflashed the software. Be that as it may, they refused to give the UAZ Patriot to its rightful owner without paying for the services rendered.

The protagonist in the person of Andrei Ivanov refrained from commenting on the AvtoVzglyad portal. After that, we asked the employees of the official representative office of UAZ-Sollers to at least somehow explain the situation (the dumbfounded car owner sent his application there, where he was told that they would notify him of the answer no sooner than in 10 days). But there, your correspondent was told that they would be able to give an objective assessment of what was happening only after they fully understood the situation.

But the president of the Society of Consumers of Automotive Equipment of Russia, Anton Nedzvetsky, confirmed to the AvtoVzglyad portal that in this case the dealer violated the Law of the Russian Federation "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and the "Rules for the provision of services (performance of work) for the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles", approved Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of April 11, 2001 N 290 (as amended on January 23, 2007).

If the dealer considered that the case was not covered by the warranty, he was obliged to notify the customer about the need for a quality check and, moreover, to invite the car owner to personally participate in it.

In the end, the managers of the technical center were obliged to give a reasoned refusal to repair the car under the warranty agreement, which, of course, was not done in our case. And the consumer had the right to demand an examination.

It was possible to carry out paid repairs only with the consent of the consumer, having concluded a written agreement with him on the performance of these works (clause 15 of the Rules), and not to put the client before the fact that they have already been completed. Since the work was performed without the consent of the consumer, on the basis of Article 16 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights", he can. If the car is not returned, you should contact the police with a statement about arbitrariness.

At the time of the publication, we nevertheless received a comment from the representative office of the brand, where we confirmed that Avtogermes LLC unlawfully denied the client a warranty repair.

This indicates gross violations of the manufacturer's warranty policy. The cost of evacuating the car in the amount of 8500 rubles and the cost of warranty work in the amount of 300 rubles (diagnostics, checking and charging the battery, removing a foreign object located between the engine case and glow plugs) are fully compensated to the client. Employees of the dealer center are suspended from work until they undergo unscheduled training and recertification.

As Ekaterina Kalinskaya, official representative of UAZ-Sollers, told the AvtoVzglyad portal, “the manufacturer pays great attention to the customer-oriented policy of the dealer network, therefore the fact of each customer complaint has a direct impact on the certification of the dealer center and the preservation of the dealer contract.”

Note that justice has triumphed solely due to the repeated intervention of the editorial board in the conflict. , although the final version of the cause of the breakdown still sounded like a glitch in the operation of the control unit. Faults caused by reasons:

  • low-quality fuel;

  • on transmission, engine and electrical/electronic units in which liquid or traces of liquid will be found;
  • on the oil seals of the transmission, engine and brake mechanisms (hydraulics), if during disassembly large amounts of dirt, plants, clay, etc. are found in them;
  • on the axle shaft of the rear axle, parts of gearboxes and front wheel drives of vehicles with self-locking and forced differentials installed in the corresponding axles, not provided by the manufacturer;
