Tractors under the brand name "Chetra" owe their fame and popularity among industrialists to the heavy caterpillar bulldozer T-11. It was this tractor that became the flagship in the production line of powerful bulldozer equipment, which is successfully used in production, in various industries.

The scope of the T-11 model is very extensive. It is widely used in exploration and development of oil and gas fields, mining, construction sites, as well as in the laying of new and repair of old roads.

This bulldozer is equally good at developing any category of soil, whether frozen or hard. Such operational qualities, plus safe and comfortable working conditions, made the machine popular, able to successfully compete with domestic and foreign counterparts.

The history of the creation of the bulldozer Chetra T-11

The decision to build a new, large tractor plant was made in 1971, and in January 1972, its construction began. Simultaneously with the construction, there was a recruitment for the team of tractor builders of the new enterprise, the Cheboksary Plant of Industrial Tractors or ChZTP.

Experienced specialists from such enterprises as ChTZ, PTZ, VgTZ, etc. were invited to leading positions. In the same 1972, recruitment began for ordinary positions, young people from different parts of the country were drawn to the new enterprise.

In December 1974, the first workshop of the plant began its work; components for the first tractor were manufactured on its premises. In 1975, on October 25, the technical control department accepted the first bulldozer of the ChZPT brand, the heavy T-330, whose power was 330 hp. This day is considered to be the birthday of the enterprise. In September 1982, the jubilee, 1000th tractor T-330 was manufactured.
Bulldozer T-330.
In 1985, the development of a line of new industrial machines of 50, 35 and 25 tons was ready. The first three bulldozers T-25.01 with a planetary gearbox were built. On its basis, a reclamation machine and a modification for pipe laying were created.

At the end of 1993, ChZPT was privatized and transformed into Promtractor OJSC.

In 1995, the T-35 and T-25 tractors went into the series, these machines were equipped with YaMZ diesel engines. Work began on bulldozers with a capacity of 240 and 280 hp, called the T-15 and T-20, in 1996.

The T-20 was assembled first in the winter of 1997, and in October 1999 the first production T-15. In the same 1999, the design of the T-11 began, it weighed 19 tons and its power reached 180 hp. The first bulldozer T-11 was manufactured in 2001, Sberbank took part in this project as an investor, and its mass production was launched in the same year.

In 2002, at the "Tractor Show", where new models of tractors were demonstrated, JSC "Promtractor" for the first time presented its products to the public under the brand name "CHETRA". In June 2005, the enterprise became part of the Tractor Plants LLC concern.

Technical characteristics of the bulldozer Chetra T-11

The T-11 bulldozer was designed to work in all climatic zones, the machine feels great both at -50 in the north and in southern latitudes at temperatures up to +50. Maintainability and ease of maintenance is ensured by the modular arrangement of tractor units and parts. Each module can be separately dismantled and transported to the repair shop, leaving a multi-ton machine in place.

The tractor was developed together with the German concern Sauer Danfoss, taking into account modern requirements, so the T-11 includes components and assemblies of domestic and foreign production.

Consider the bulldozer in more detail.

Tractor dimensions and weight:

  • Length - 6588 mm;
  • Width - 3854 mm;
  • Height - 3412 mm;
  • Base - 2616 mm;
  • Weight with ripper, blade and internal combustion engine, YaMZ / Cummins - 20785/19975 kg.

Chetra T-11 bulldozer engine

CHETRA T-11 is equipped with diesel engines of two different brands:

  • Domestic YaMZ-236ND2;
  • American Cummins QSB6,7-C204.

The Yaroslavl Motor Plant provided a V-shaped, four-stroke, six-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine. With an engine volume of a little more than 11 liters, its power was 136 (185) kW (hp), at an engine speed of 1900 rpm. Cylinders with a diameter of 130 mm and a piston stroke of 140 mm. Torque output at engine speeds of 1200-1400 rpm, approximately 883 Nm.

American machine builders supply a six-cylinder, four-stroke, supercharged, liquid-cooled in-line unit. Thanks to supercharging and other design features, it was possible to remove 137.5 (187) kW (hp) from a volume of 6.7 liters at a maximum of 2000 rpm. The ratio of cylinder diameter and piston stroke is 102/136.4 mm. Torque at rated engine speed of 1500 rpm, about 938 Nm.

The American diesel is slightly superior in performance to its Yaroslavl counterpart, it is also considered more reliable and economical. However, YaMZ is much easier to maintain and its repair is much cheaper, besides this, the Yaroslavl diesel engines have been tested more than once by the north and at the same time received mostly positive reviews. Therefore, it is not easy to give an unambiguous answer which engine is better, the main thing is that there is a choice.

Gearbox bulldozer Chetra T-11

Gearbox on the bulldozer T-11 planetary type and the ability to shift gears under load. The couplings run in oil and are characterized by their ability to transmit high torque values.

It provides the tractor with three speeds forward and the same number back, while the speed of movement is from 3.7 to 11 km / h forward and backward from 5 to 14.4. The box, together with the main gear and the matching gearbox, forms a single module installed in a special bore of the rear axle.

Transmission and chassis of the bulldozer Chetra T-11

The hydrostatic transmission was developed by the above-mentioned Sauer Danfoss company, especially for CHETRA brand bulldozers.

For reliable transmission of torque from the diesel engine to the gearbox, a torque converter is used, which is connected to the motor using an elastic coupling and a cardan drive.

The brakes are multi-disc clutches, closed permanently by spring force. Throughout the entire service life, they do not need to be adjusted, but cooled with oil under pressure.

The suspension on the tractor is semi-rigid, three-point. The remote swing axle of the bogies gives the bulldozer increased traction properties and reliable adhesion to the surface, and also protects the T-11 undercarriage from impact loads.

The guide wheels, and with them the support and track rollers, are equipped with self-tightening seals, the so-called "double cone" and a lifetime one-time lubrication. Each bulldozer track has two support rollers and six support ones.

Caterpillars of the T-11 tractor are prefabricated, each shoe has one grouser, and there is a seal in the hinge to delay lubrication.

The surface area on which the caterpillar rests is 2.668 m2, while the pressure on the ground does not exceed 0.76 kg/cm2.

  • The number of shoes in the caterpillar - 39 pieces;
  • Links with a step - 203 mm;
  • Grousers height - 65 mm;
  • The width of the shoes is 510 mm.

Steering and cab bulldozer Chetra T-11

The T-11 is controlled with the help of onboard clutches, multi-plate clutches that are hydraulically actuated. By disengaging (fully or partially) the left or right side clutch clutches, the bulldozer turns in the corresponding direction. Frictions are controlled from the control post, using two levers.

The tractor cab has double glazing, excellent visibility of all working areas and equipment. It is equipped with heating and forced ventilation systems, and, on request, with an air conditioning system.

The interior trim, the shape of the panels and controls have a modern design and are made of quality materials, and most importantly, they are located as conveniently as possible for the operator.

The gas pedal can be fixed in the selected position, providing the necessary engine speed. For the direction (forward, backward) and gear shifting, one lever is responsible. Two small levers to the left of the driver control the steering clutches. There are two separate levers for controlling the ripper and blade. All controls are accessible from the operator's seat, helping to reduce operator fatigue during shifts.

Hydraulics and attachments of the bulldozer Chetra T-11

The structure of the separate-aggregate system of the bulldozer T-11 includes:

  • Gear pump S1A6097, at engine speed of 1800 rpm, it produces a capacity of 163 l / min. Manufacturer, David Brown;
  • Four-section distributor from Bosch Rexton, three working sections, one valve;
  • Safety valve, operates at pressure over 200 MPa;
  • Welded hydraulic tank, capacity 85 l;
  • Hydraulic cylinders 5 pcs. 2 for raising and lowering the blade, 1 for turning the blade right and left, 2 for raising and lowering the ripper.

bulldozer equipment.

The high-capacity hemispherical blade provides the T-11 bulldozer with high productivity. The use of diagonal traction when transferring lateral loads from the blade to the left side member of the bulldozer gives the blade closer to the hood and the largest support force on the blade blade.

Ripper.

Depending on the required productivity, CHETRA bulldozers are equipped with rippers with one tooth, as well as with three or two teeth.

  • Type of ripper - multi-tooth / unregulated;
  • Number of teeth - 3/1;
  • Deepening - 640/530 mm;
  • Deepening force - 6.14 / 5.7 tons;
  • Pull-out force - 17.15 / 16 tons.

Modifications of the bulldozer Chetra T-11

T-11 bulldozers can be equipped with engines from two manufacturers and various attachments and weights. For example: T-11.02YaB is equipped with a YaMZ-236 diesel engine, and its mass is from 20.87 to 23.4 tons; T-11.02K with Commins diesel engine and weight from 20.4 to 23.4 tons.

Also, after the name, you can find additional letters that are written for easier identification, their designations:

  • M - low pressure on the ground;
  • C - the presence of hydrostatic transmission;
  • L - winch included;
  • P - with a rotary blade.

Operation of bulldozers Chetra T-11

The vast majority of machines of this class in our country work in the difficult conditions of the north, the Siberian and Far Eastern taiga. They develop oil and gas fields, as well as participate in the exploration of new ones. They lay oil and gas pipelines through wild uninhabited places where there are no roads or infrastructure. They work in gold mining, in the mines of eastern Siberia and on the river. Kolyma.

In such difficult conditions, the technique often works to the limit, and the advantages, as well as the disadvantages, quickly manifest themselves:

Advantages.

  • Adaptation of machines to the conditions of the north: engine preheating; additional, independent heater in the cabin, imported fuel filters with the function of fuel heating and water separation;
  • Modular design of components and systems, which increases maintainability and ease of maintenance;
  • Reliable YaMZ and Commins diesel engines;
  • Comfortable working conditions for the operator.

Chetra T-11 performs the trick.

Flaws.

  • Most often there are problems with hydraulics, after 2-3 thousand hours of operation;
  • Problems in the operation of the transmission (again, in terms of hydraulics);
  • In general, they are inferior in terms of reliability and operating time to well-known foreign analogues.
  • No longer track life.

Conclusion

In general, the car is not bad, although it is inferior in reliability to some foreign analogues. In the CHETRA brand, which is not unimportant for the domestic engineering industry, the manufacturer paid considerable attention to operator comfort. Also in the design as a whole, modern design solutions and technologies are applied. Of course, there are a lot of flaws that the plant has yet to fix, but in general, CHETRA is moving in the right direction.

In terms of price, bulldozers of this brand are cheaper than famous analogues from abroad by about 1.5 times. This is a significant advantage over competitors in favor of CHETRA in the domestic market.

In the secondary market, the price of the T-11 bulldozer can range from 800-900 thousand for a machine in working order produced in the early 2000s, up to 4.5 million for a 4-5-year-old refurbished copy. Brand new T-11s can be purchased for 5.5-6.7 million rubles.

As we have repeatedly mentioned in this section, we supply tractors and bulldozers of the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant and all special vehicles mounted on their basis, but we are also able to supply spare parts for machines of other manufacturers, including the Chetra brand. Our goal has always been maximum coverage of the Russian market of special equipment in terms of working with a variety of customer requests. With many years of work in this market, strong ties are established with machine builders, information is accumulated about similar machines.

The line of bulldozers "Chetra" and the place of the T-11 model in it

The machine-building plant of Promtractor OJSC in Cheboksary is a well-known manufacturer that produces caterpillar tractors of models from T-9 (diesel power 150 hp, machine weight 17-20 tons) to T-40 (diesel power 590 hp, weight tractor 65 tons). The T-9 model with the YaMZ-236-NB-2 or Cummins engine is slightly less than the T10M (B10M) ChTZ in terms of its characteristics and capabilities, and the T-40 Chetra is one of the seven most powerful tractors in Russia.

The T-11 model, which follows the T-9 in the Chetra model range, approximately corresponds in terms of characteristics to the B11 ChTZ model (diesel 190 hp, 10th traction class with hydromechanical transmission). The T-11 tractor with the designation “-Ya” in the model name is equipped with the Yaroslavl diesel YaMZ-236-ND-2 (185 hp), has a mass of 20.3 - 23 tons, can work with various types of dumps (swivel from mechanics or hydraulics) and three types of rippers - one-, three- and seven-tooth.

Eg, version of the machine T-11.02YA BR-1- this is a bulldozer with the aforementioned Russian diesel engine, a hemispherical blade (rather large: blade capacity - 5.6 m 3) and a ripper with 1 tooth (maximum penetration into the soil - 640 mm).

Imported developers and components

JSC "Promtractor" in the development of its designs actively uses imported units and components (European and American): for example, the transmission was developed by order of this enterprise by the German company Sauer Danfoss. The final drives with brakes, the pump drive gearbox for it were developed by the design bureau of OAO Promtractor. Other import units besides Cummins diesel:

  • radiators AKG (Germany);
  • David Brown helical gear oil pump;
  • Fleetguard diesel fuel filters with various advanced features compared to "regular" filters;
  • hydraulics Bosch - Rexroth, etc.

The capabilities of the T-11 and the requirements for a modern bulldozer

Bulldozer T-11 "Chetra" can carry out the planning of sites and routes, develop soils, carry out earthmoving, construct embankments, move building materials, and be used in logging operations. One of the main functions of the bulldozer, as always, is the development of solid soils by a scarifier (if the soils, for example, are rocky - with a single tooth, to apply the maximum effort of the machine) and the subsequent selection of the waste rock with a rotary blade.

We can say that a modern bulldozer is required:

  • the most efficient use of the mass of the machine during bulldozing, which is expressed in the design of the bulldozer mounted tool, its long-stroke cylinders;
  • smooth gear shifting under load, smooth adjustment of traction force depending on the traction resistance encountered (this is the responsibility of the hydromechanical transmission, which is present on all Chetra machines, and its control);
  • a set of universal bulldozer-ripping tools, in addition - trailers and winches;
  • comfortable ergonomic cabin with joysticks, with a maximum glass area for visibility, but sealed, with air conditioning, heater, ROPS - FOPS protection system;
  • small specific pressure of the tracks on the ground;
  • undercarriage (wheels, rollers, caterpillars), which requires not very time-consuming maintenance.

Our spare parts for bulldozers "ChTZ" and "Chetra"

For tractors and bulldozers of the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, we supply a very large amount of spare parts to our customers and keep an extensive catalog on the site - details of all components: from forks and gear shifting rollers to cab windows and cords sealing them, from cart frames to bulldozer equipment braces. We are ready to supply all the same for Chetra bulldozers:

  • spare parts for the Yaroslavl diesel engine YaMZ-236-ND-2 and the air, oil, fuel supply systems serving it;
  • components of a hydromechanical transmission with a planetary gearbox, side clutches, brakes;
  • spare parts for bulldozer, ripper, trailer equipment;
  • cabin equipment;
  • definitely - everything related to the caterpillar track: from track and support rollers to the bearing housings of the final drives.

Over time, in the process of working with different series and models of machines, experience and understanding of features: what is the difference, for example, between track rollers and track idlers for ChTZ and Chetra, what are self-clamping seals of the “double cone” type, which are considered a big plus in the design of the Chetra chassis. Otherwise, for machines from different manufacturers for the same functions, especially for tractors of the same traction class, many similar nodes: for example, torque converter, planetary gearbox, dozer blade design on long-stroke cylinders, etc.

Bulldozer T-1101, tractor T-11.01, T-11.02, CHETRA T11 have a high productivity and can be used in industrial, oil and gas, hydraulic engineering, road construction and mining to perform various types of work, including the development of frozen soils.

According to experts, the T 11 bulldozer is indispensable in road construction due to its power, maneuverability and reliability, it is widely used in various fields, including urban planning, as is done in Cheboksary. They also note that original and high-quality Chetra spare parts are always available for a Russian-made bulldozer (for example, Optcenter is an official dealer).

In 2011, tests of the CHETRA 11 series bulldozer with hydrostatic transmission (HST), which was developed on the basis of Sauer Danfoss hydraulic machines, were completed. The T11C bulldozer, in comparison with bulldozers with hydromechanical transmission, due to better maneuverability, with greater accuracy and efficiency, performs complex earthmoving work even in confined spaces.

Bullodzer is equipped with different engine models:

  • YaMZ-236ND-2 136 kW (185 hp) - four-stroke six-cylinder V-shaped diesel engine without turbocharging (Chetra with the index "I"),
  • QSB 6.7-C204 137 kW (187 hp) Cummins four-stroke six-cylinder in-line turbocharged diesel engine (Chetra "K")

Transmission– planetary, powershift, with 345 mm oil-immersed clutches with high torque transfer capability, providing three forward and three reverse gears.

Description of the bulldozer running system:

Suspension Chetra: three-point semi-rigid with a remote swing axle of the bogies. 6 track rollers, 2 carrier rollers and idlers with one-time lubrication for life with self-locking double cone seals.

Bulldozer caterpillars are prefabricated, with a link pitch of 203mm, the number of shoes on each side, 39, a base of 2616mm, with one grouser and a seal to retain liquid lubricant in the hinge. Track tension is easily adjusted with a grease gun. The area of the supporting surface is 2.668 m2, the ground pressure is 0.76 / 0.75 kgf/cm2.

The tractor is equipped with the following loosening and bulldozer equipment:

  • Blade type: hemispherical, swivel (mechanical), straight, swivel (hydraulic).
  • Ripper: one-, three-, seven-tooth.

The catalog of parts and assembly units (spare parts) of the Chetra tractor is a reference tool for making requests and calculating spare parts, intended for employees of enterprises and farms involved in the operation and repair of tractors and bulldozers. The catalog contains detailed specifications of assembly units and parts, grouped according to their design and functional features.

In connection with the constant work on improving the T-11 tractors, which increases its reliability and improves operating conditions, changes may be made to the design that are not reflected in this publication.
