For the first time, the new Audi A7 from 2019 was presented in October this year. In terms of design, this is a classic class of Liftbacks from the premium segment. The main trump card of the novelty is conciseness, sophistication, a combination of the classic style of a sedan and a dynamic coupe.
If, according to external indicators, the car demonstrates a spectacular modern style, in terms of technical parameters, a lot was taken from the older model, namely the A8.

The rear of the car, even looking at the photo, demonstrates a spectacular appearance, there is enough sporty character, muscularity and more pragmatic urban stampings. Of the innovations, it is worth highlighting the appearance of a single line of rear optics, most likely, in the future, Audi models will be more unique.
Even now, there is a certain way out of the general geometry, a large number of non-characteristic stampings. Therefore, a large number of updates in this model are veiled.
Interior
The new Audi A7 opens a new chapter in the history of interior design. Although most of the changes were copied from the older modification, more precisely the A8 model, several design points are unique here. For example, one can note a wide rib on the instrument panel, a slightly tweaked shape of the seats.
But, otherwise, yes, the car inside still demonstrates a general character, when updates with a deep meaning will get here, it is not known. Perhaps in the restyling, which will be available closer to 2020, we will see how seriously the company will take the introduction of a new style.
The speedometer panel is distinguished only by a huge divided monitor unit. Where each circuit is responsible for a specific option and function. I am glad that they are trying to move away from the classics in the form of mechanical “wells”, which are no longer acceptable in the premium segment, taking into account modern fashion and the requirements of the public.
The steering column, despite the common recognizable contour, remained unique. Still, designers sometimes manage to create some part of the car that is hard to forget, in our case, this is the steering wheel. Not only has it improved in shape, which is barely visible from the photos, but it has a big update in terms of available options.
The center console is more pragmatic and probably resembles the style of the Bavarians, because even there they are trying to somehow highlight this particular zone. The new Audi is distinguished by the presence of two huge monitors at once, which are spread over the entire panel.
Management is likely to be convenient, as now they prefer rotated torpedoes. Much attention is now paid to the driver and his comfort. Finally, they got rid of levers and keys, the only exception can be the gearshift lever, and it is designed in the right style.
The structure of the seats, and in general the comfort of the cabin, is very well thought out. Here the point is not even that the free space has increased, but rather that the design policy itself has changed.
In front, the backrests received slightly different pillows, and this is in addition to the fact that the number of adjustments was increased by an order of magnitude. At the back, a classic style was created from two decorated armchairs, in the middle there was a tunnel.
It is clear that premium cars are no longer provided for three riders. Here, attention was focused on the comfort of two passengers, so that all options are at hand.
Technical indicators
Specifications are currently represented by only one gasoline unit. 340 hp engine has 3.0 liters of working volume, as well as 500 Nm. moment. As standard, the engine is equipped with a classic "mild hybrid" system, which allows you to be in traffic jams, as well as at speeds from 60 to 150 km. turn off the motor.
Paired with this unit, only a 7-speed robot is equipped, the transmission is all-wheel drive, equipped with two clutches from the “quad ultra” series. The technology allows you to completely transfer all the power only to the rear wheels. The dynamics of the car, perhaps, will not be bad, given such a powerful unit.
In any case, the new generation Audi A7 from German automakers gets 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds. The maximum possibilities are equal to 250 km / h. It is worth noting that the declared consumption in combined mode is only 6.8 liters.
As for the "cart" for the 2019 Audi A7, here is a new modular platform, for which material such as steel was mainly used, with only about 15% aluminum for surface details. Suspension is fully independent, as expected in this segment. Moreover, the manufacturer offers several modes of operation at once.

The official presentation of the Audi A7 Sportback 2019 is scheduled for November this year. Sales in Russia are not yet scheduled, most likely it will be the second quarter of next year.

The Audi A7 Sportback is built on the modular platform of the flagship sedan, and the body is made of 20 percent aluminum (the remaining 80% steel), so that the sportback, excluding the driver, weighs only 1,695 kg (weight of a car with a three-liter diesel engine and a CVT). For comparison, the weight of a Mercedes CLS with a diesel engine of the same volume is 1,815 kg.
The range of powertrains for the Audi A7 Sportback is represented by two petrol and two diesel six-cylinder engines. Gasoline engines are a 2.8-liter 204-horsepower unit with which the car accelerates from standstill to hundreds in 8.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km / h. The second is a 3.0-liter engine with a mechanical supercharger with a capacity of 300 hp. With it, the A7 starts up to a hundred in 5.6 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The 3.0-liter diesel power unit is available in two versions: 204 and 245 hp. The latter develops a maximum torque of 500 Nm, available in the range from 1,400 to 3,250 rpm. A 245-horsepower diesel engine is able to accelerate the Audi A7 in 6.5 seconds, and the maximum speed of the novelty with such an engine is limited to the same 250 km / h.
With the exception of the most modest diesel, all engines on the Audi A7 Sportback are aggregated with a 7-speed S-tronic robotic transmission with two clutches and a Quattro all-wheel drive system. A 204-horsepower diesel engine is offered in tandem with the Multitronic CVT. Such a machine can be either front-wheel drive (in this case, the maximum torque is 400 Nm), or with all-wheel drive (maximum torque 450 Nm).
The list of options for the Audi A7 Sportback includes alloy wheels with a diameter of 18 to 20 inches, 11 body colors, a 6.5- or 8-inch MMI LCD screen instead of the standard 5-inch, adaptive cruise control, an MMI touch system capable of handwriting recognition, blind spot detection, Bang & Olufsen 15-speaker 1,300-watt audio system, and more.
European sales of the Audi A7 Sportback started after its world debut at the August Motor Show in Moscow 2010. Prices for a novelty in Russia today start at 3,620,000 rubles, and the most expensive modification of the model will cost 4,070,000 rubles.

The basic front-wheel drive modification of the hatchback is now replaced by the “robot” S tronic instead of the previous variator, and a 320-horsepower three-liter turbocharged diesel engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic.
Sales of the new Audi A7 Sportback 2019 on the Russian market began in the fall, today for a five-door with a gasoline engine with a capacity of 249 forces they ask from 3,620,000 rubles, and for a 333-horsepower modification, at least 4,070,000 rubles will have to be paid.

The most unpleasant thing is that in this class there are also mechanical seat adjustments. Yes, different seating options are offered: comfortable, sporty and S-version, but somehow this does not fit the class. Of course, you can order power adjustments as an option, but it's still frustrating, Mercedes doesn't do that.
The rear sofa for three passengers will please them with separate climate control, a 12V socket and two USB ports. 4-zone climate control is optional, a small touch screen will appear at the back, on which everything is configured.
The driver gets a 4-spoke or 3-spoke steering wheel, depending on the configuration. The base is 4-spoke with lower chrome-plated spokes and control buttons for the dashboard and multimedia. Petals and heating are installed separately.
The dashboard of the Audi A7 2018-2019 is fully digital - a 12.3-inch display that mimics analog gauges, displays navigation data and whatever.
The dashboard has changed dramatically, its two-level design with glossy, silver or wooden inserts attracts the eye. Two displays flaunt in the center: a 10.1-inch MMI touch response on top and an 8.6-inch one at the back. The top one is responsible for multimedia and navigation, and the bottom one is for climate control. The touch screen cannot be accidentally pressed, pressing is taken into account with a slight pressure.
Navigation The MMI navigation plus displays 3D images using Google Earth services. The lower display supports handwriting mode.
The tunnel got a new small gear selector made of aluminum with leather lining. Behind it are the buttons for the electronic parking brake, and on the right is a cover, under which there are cup holders.
Decorative inserts throughout the interior of the new Audi A7 can be replaced with others, firstly, different aluminum options, and secondly, different wooden inserts:

In the cabin, LED contour lighting technology is optional, which illuminates various interior details in any of 30 colors. So far, the manufacturer installs only one gasoline engine on the liftback. The 3-liter turbocharged TFSI engine produces 340 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 500 H * m of torque at 1370 rpm.
The engine of the Audi A7 Sportback is paired with a 7-speed S-Tronic robot that transmits torque to all wheels via quattro ultra. Suspension comfort
The car is built on a platform that includes a double-lever design in front and a multi-link rear. She delivers comfort, but this is not the limit. You can put a sports suspension with an underestimation of 10 mm, it is possible with adaptive shock absorbers.
The coolest option is a pneumatic adaptive chassis for 140,000 rubles. Cylinders deliver much more pleasant sensations than springs.
Comfort depends not only on the chassis, it is also affected by high-quality sound insulation, albeit related to the cabin. A double-glazed window is installed here, as on its predecessor, but due to improved sound insulation and aerodynamics, the car has become much quieter.
Optionally installs adaptive steering, which changes the steering rack ratios, adjusting the steering stiffness and the number of revolutions from lock to lock to the driving style.
