Each Aston Martin Lagonda will be assembled by hand at the company's facility in Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK.

But the car turned out to be much more expensive than assumptions. On the website of the British dealership H.R.Owen, the base price for the Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf was published - 696 thousand pounds, and this is more than a million US dollars, which is equivalent to 980,000 euros.

If the numbers are correct, the Lagona Taraf will cost three times the price of the Bentley Mulsanne and twice the price of the Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB. True, this information was later removed from the site, but Autocar journalists assure that it is reliable. A total of 200 copies of the sedan will be produced.

At a private event in Dubai, Aston Martin showed the public the new sedan for the first time. As it became known, the car eventually received the name Lagonda Taraf (Aston Martin is not mentioned in the official name). The creators do not exclude that it will get to other markets, where it will be called differently.

The Lagonda Taraf sedan is built on the VH platform. The manufacturer does not share technical specifications. According to preliminary data, the car is driven by a V12 engine with a volume of 5.9 liters. It develops about 565 hp. and is paired with a six-speed automatic. The spurt to 100 km/h takes about 5 s.

In terms of size, the car is close to the Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan - the overall length of the model is 5,396.5 mm, and the wheelbase is 3,189.

Initially, the manufacturer published only a single teaser of the model, and later official photos of the novelty appeared. They clearly show that the car's designers drew inspiration from the 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda, on the appearance of which William Towns worked. And the large vertical grille and narrow lighting fixtures are reminiscent of those on the concept SUV mentioned above.

The interior of Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf really reigns real luxury. Journalists from Car and Driver suggest that the leather used in the interior trim is covered with gold. But the front panel of the car with the center console, instrument panel and steering wheel are taken from the four-door Rapide S.
