Fallout 4 power armor coloring. Power armor modification

Fallout 4 power armor coloring. Power armor modification

Fallout 4 Power Armor provides powerful protection against all types of damage. This walking steel fortress requires a significant amount of resources and time to modify all components. But a few small, effective changes can be made easily, and in this guide we'll show you how.

How to change the color of Power Armor

Before you can change the color of your Power Armor, you need to find the Hot Rod Magazines. After this, the new custom Power Armor paint will become available.

  • You can change the color at the Power Armor service station
  • Approach the station in armor and get out of it by holding down the E button
  • Select Use->[Armor Piece]->No Material Modification->Flame Hot Rod Paint
  • Painting all armor pieces the Hot Rod Flame color will increase Agility by 1.
  • Painting is free.

How to get different paint schemes

Preface...

About power armor

Power armor- the most powerful type of armor in Fallout 4. A character in power armor turns into a “mini-tank”, capable of fighting against an entire army alone.

In addition to increasing protective characteristics, power armor also provides unique capabilities - for example, the ability to safely fall from great heights.

Some facts:

  • Just like other items, there are many modifications for power armor;
  • You can enter buildings while wearing power armor;
  • Power armor remains where you left it, you cannot “put” it in your inventory;
  • To use power armor you need a special “charger”.
Power armor can be found throughout the Commonwealth, mostly in old military bases.

Proper power armor significantly reduces the damage dealt to you. However, unlike regular armor, elements of power armor can take damage, which reduces the overall level of protection.

Power armor, in whatever condition it's in, increases the damage of your melee attacks, increases your maximum load capacity, prevents fall damage, and, if you're also wearing a helmet, allows you to stay underwater longer.

To get out of the power armor, hold [E].

If, at the time of depletion of the used nuclear block, you happen to have another similar block with you, the replacement will be made automatically. Otherwise, you will either have to find a new nuclear unit to restore the functionality of the power armor, or leave the suit.

Nuclear blocks can be pulled out of old generators or purchased from traders.

Power armor elements

Power armor consists of two main parts - a frame and a set of armored elements.

Each piece of armor attached to a frame increases your Damage Resistance, but a Power Armor Frame can be used even if there are no pieces on it. Such a frame will still protect you from fall damage, provide increased melee damage, and also allow you to carry more weight.

Armor elements may be damaged. When you are wearing Power Armor, the status of the armor pieces is displayed on the suit icon on the left side of the screen. Elements painted red have received significant damage and must be replaced. If any section is empty, this means that the corresponding element is either missing or completely destroyed and must be replaced.

You can also find out the status of an armor item by selecting it in the “Clothing” section of the “Items” (Prev) tab or on the power armor workshop screen.

To attach or remove an element of armor from the frame, select it in the “Clothing” section on the “Items” tab.

You can also add or remove armor pieces by using the Power Armor Workshop, or by approaching your Power Armor and pressing [R] to bring up the item transfer menu.

Power Armor Repair

You can repair damaged armor pieces at any power armor workshop. If you have the required components, select the damaged item on the Items page and press [Space]. If you don't have the required components, select an item and press [Space] to see which components are required.

Modifications for power armor

In the Power Armor Workshop, you can also install and remove modifications for Power Armor. Modifications can increase damage resistance, change the color of armor, reduce energy consumption, and also add bonuses to parameters and temporary effects.

In the future, you can put on the frame:

  • Power armor helmet
  • Power Armor Torso
  • Right Arm of Power Armor
  • Left arm of power armor
  • Right leg of power armor
  • Left leg of power armor

Power Armor Marker

If you get out of the power armor, a marker will automatically appear on the map showing the location of the armor. The marker marks only the set of power armor that you used last time. You will have to look for previous sets yourself.

Nuclear blocks

Nuclear blocks (Fusion Core) - power armor works on nuclear blocks. The charge of the nuclear unit is reduced when performing the following actions:

  • acceleration;
  • powerful attacks;
  • using VATS
Once the Nuke is depleted, your movement speed will be reduced and you will be unable to perform powerful attacks or use VATS.

About the location of nuclear blocks

Nuclear blocks can be found everywhere. There is also a map on which many things are marked, including the location of nuclear blocks. Here is the map itself - in order to leave only the locations of nuclear blocks, you should cross out everything except FUSION CORE. Happy searching!

Equipment when found

The higher the character's level, the better the power armor he gets.
That is, it won’t be possible to assemble a T-51 or T-60 at a low character level right away.

All power armor configurations (with some exceptions) are random in nature, so in the same place you can find word armor that will not have one of the parts - for example, a leg or several parts at once...

This package is missing:
Power armor helmet
Both arms of power armor
Left leg of power armor

T-45 power armor

TTX SArmor T-45 slightly higher than SArmor Raiders. Repairs and upgrades are the same price as SArmor Raiders.

The very first Power armor which will come to you along the storyline. Immediately from Vault 111 we follow in Freedom Museum and complete quests Preston Garvey. The armor will be on the roof.

Afterwards you will get into adventures.
Where to find: Go east from Vault 111 to the Robotics Disposal Ground. Here you will find several batteries and a “Fat Man”, that is, a “tactical hand-held nuclear grenade launcher”.

On southeast of this place, on the way to the USAF Satellite Station Olivia among the debris there will also be Power Armor itself.

Also Part of the T-45 armor can be found underwater, at the site of a rotorcraft crash in Covenant Lake.

Where to find: Heading from Vault 111 southeast to Red Rocket Red Rocket (where the Dog companion is located). In the north of the lake there will be debris.

Important: Radiation levels are high, be careful. Dive and find what you are looking for.

More parts of the T-45 armor (torso and helmet) can be found, if you move to southeast of the lake and reach the shipyard Irish Pride Industries Shipyard. Another rotorcraft crashed here, and among its wreckage there will be pieces of armor.

Another power armor frame can be found on one of the plates in the Revere Beach Satellite Dish location (Get ready to face the onslaught of super mutants). Sometimes you can find Fat Man there too.

T-51 power armor

Average of all types SArmor t-51 in terms of performance characteristics a little better than SBronya T-45. Repairs and upgrades cost a little more than SArmor T-45. T-51 difficult to find fully equipped if you are below level 20.

Can be found on the Towable Trailer near the Airport. She will stand in a cage. You will need to hack the terminal.

Additionally:

This armor can be found south of Vault 111. Get to Fort Haganah in the east and find Fiddler's Green Trailer Estates. Lots of ghouls await you here.

Then hack the terminal, take the key from the safe and open the trailer. Power armor will be inside.

T-60 power armor

A little better than T-45 And T-51, and just a little worse than X-01.

Found in the storyline when upon initiation into the Knights of the Brotherhood of Steel you will be given Power Armor T-60(Painted in Brotherhood of Steel colors) .
The T-60 is difficult to find in full configuration if you are below level 25-30.

National Guard training ground

You can also find an incomplete set in the bunker (on which there are two turrets) next to the location "National Guard training ground"

South Boston military outpost

Another set of T-60 Armor can be found around "South Boston Military Outpost".

Adds new power armor that many are familiar with from the concept art from the Fallout 4 art book.
Institute Power Armor now in the Commonwealth, where it should be.
This model of power armor is called I-01 (Institute). The characteristics of the I-01 are similar to the T-60.
The new power armor can be modified in the same way as other types of power armor, but there are no paint options.

You can find it in the place where your main character will sooner or later encounter Kellogg. You just need to climb higher... On the roof of the main building of Fort Hagen, parts of this power armor will be located in a metal box. It will be difficult to miss them.
For those who are in a hurry to get it: open ~ and enter “help I-01 4” where we select the desired base ID.
xx 000F99 - I-01 Left hand;
xx 000F9A - I-01 Right hand;
xx 000F9B - I-01 Left leg;
xx 000F9C - I-01 Right leg;
xx 000F9E - I-01 Torso.

It is noteworthy that the power armor does not have a helmet as such. The power armor body is designed in such a way that the head and body fit into a single structure. Nevertheless, given that, according to the standard, the frame of power armor has a slot for a helmet, it can be equipped with a helmet from any other power armor. On a full set of Institute power armor, the foreign helmet will be visible as the frontal part on the top of I-01's hull. However, of course this will not have a negative impact on the gameplay.

I became interested. The fact is that I love the Brotherhood of Steel and don’t want to be a knight at most.

I have been looking for quest triggers for a long time and found them and now I will tell you how to get all the bonuses from all factions with the exception of only 2: the Institute color scheme for power armor, and the status of Defender of the Brotherhood of Steel and bonuses of this rank.

From the very beginning, we follow the Minutemen's quests and capture the castle with all the settlements. For better effect, you can develop settlements (5 people with 80% happiness is enough), then Minutemen will start walking around the community and helping you in battles. It is important to understand that the institute will not attack the castle until you tell Preston: “I have made a decision. The Institute is our enemy,” this phrase is a trigger that cancels quests for all other factions.

After “leveling up” the Minutemen, go on the main mission (ATTENTION!!!) before killing Kellogg. At this moment, the Brotherhood of Steel arrives and then you can go on their quests. Do everything indiscriminately, and it’s better not to encounter them before they arrive (the reward for the quest to find the paladin Brandis changes; if you complete the quest after the arrival of the brotherhood, you will receive a unique legendary armor). Complete all additional tasks including (Except repetitive ones).

We move along the plot until the moment of meeting with the Underground, and then attention. As soon as you decrypt the hunter's chip - there is no need to take it to Virgil, complete every single subway quest. Firstly, until you give the chip and receive the data, the “Jackpot” quest chain is available, after which Mechanic Tom will start selling you armored suits. Secondly, the quests Boston Night (1-2), List of the Killed (1-2), and Ranolf Station (1-6), 11 Mila quests from Tom, and the quest to capture Mercer Station from PAM.

Now that the Underground is completely ours, we can act.

After handing over the codes to Virgil, we take them directly to the Brotherhood and go to the Institute. We complete the first quest there (Closed Institution) and persuade Doctor Lee to return to the brotherhood.

After we talked with Dr. Lee, we can teleport between the institute and any location without fear of ruining relations with anyone.

ATTENTION(!!!) Do not give away the virus with the recording! In general, don’t talk to her until the “Mass Fusion” quest.

We go to the subway and take the quest from Desdemona “Underground and Undercover.” We carry it out until the item “Continue to work with father” appears. Be sure to complete the item to equip the synths with weapons.

After which we carry out the institute’s quests until the moment “The Battle for Bunker Hill”.

Here is my personal advice: Bunker Hill itself, as well as the Mass Fusion building, should be cleared to the maximum. In Bunker Hill, complete all the quests, and simply clear Mass Fusion of the raiders and pick up all the holotapes that are there, including the password on the upper floors. There are also unique boots that prevent damage from falling. But this is a separate topic.

We warn the Underground about Bunker Hill and go there as soon as we meet the hunter, talk to him and then shoot him in the back, kill him and leave from there to the “Father”. We say that there was an ambush and go with him to the council. After the advice, access to the task “Mass Fusion” and “Discord” opens. We take x6-88 as our partners, complete the “Discord” task, and wander around the Commonwealth with our partner until we reach maximum relations and his perk, respectively. Don't forget to pick up the Journal from the Institute and buy legendary items in their store, then it will be too late.

After which we warn the Brotherhood about “Mass Fusion”. At this point, Engram will not ask you for the virus, but will simply go to Mass Fusion.

As soon as we get into the rotorcraft to fly to the building, the “Institute” becomes our enemy (and the mission underground and undercover fails), so as soon as we leave the Mass Fusion building, we go to the subway and talk with Desdemna, they say that you should go to the Minutemen and asked them for help. So we do, we go to the castle and tell Preston that the Institute and I are now enemies.

He will tell us to go to Strugers and give him the virus, but for the script to work, we need to submit the task to Ingram. So we do, we turn in the Mass Fusion task and fly to Strudgers, give the Virus and immediately talk to him again. He makes us a copy of the virus, and with this copy we head to the Brotherhood.

At this moment the castle will be attacked, but we are NOT (!!!) going to defend it! As soon as we defend the castle, the final Minutemen quest will begin and then the Brotherhood quests will disappear!

We go through all the quests of the Brotherhood until the moment “Strategic Thinking”, as soon as the elder gives it to us, we don’t talk to anyone else from the brotherhood.

Now having the status of a Paladin and having completed Dance's quest, having received the approval of x6-88 and his perk and safely leaving him at the Institute, having completed all the quests of the Underground, we go and defend the castle. After defending the castle, the trigger is triggered and all the Brotherhood's quests in the story are canceled, and we can forget about the war between the Underground and the Brotherhood. We go to the Institute, give it a shout, turn on the evacuation and that’s it. We get our ending.

Description:
This mod adds new offline paint options to Fallout 4 for all variants of the game's Power Armor. New types of modifications do not affect or replace game ones.

Update: 1.1a (Translation)
* The mod itself has not been updated. The translation has been completely revised. Download the updated.esp from the additional link.
- Errors and inaccuracies in translation have been corrected, there are no longer “Paints tagged with FO4WarTags or FO4WTLS”, there are normal names for the color of armor. Important!!! Bethesda made the vanilla decals for the arms and legs “mirror”, that is, one texture for the left and right sides, in this mod there are additional textures for the left and right sides (marked with numbers 1 and 2). To paint armor correctly, you need to use one number on the paint for the left side, and another number on the right side. It's very easy - when painting, just look to see if the corresponding name for the armor appears at the top or not. Has it appeared? BINGO!!! you did everything right!!!

Update: 1.1
- The mod has been reworked so that the names of armor parts are displayed correctly. This should lead to confusion as to what paints to apply to the arms and legs. This means that the paints for the right and left parts of Power Armor will display the names when applied correctly.
- New paints have been added for the following Power Armor variants: T-45: Minutemen, T-51: Underground, T-60: Elite Brotherhood Soldier and Gunnery Commander, X-01: “Victory” of the Vault and Institute.
- Now there will be a correct application of paint.
- One of the Strelkov commanders may be wearing a fully upgraded T-60 set, be careful!
- Added new jetpacks for each faction. I made it so that each jetpack can be applied to any Power Armor without any problems.
- Added an optional file that adds a level list for Shooters. The main mod is required, replace the file.

Update: 1.0.3
- Minor edits to spec maps for the T-60 armor.
- Now the mod itself includes 3 autonomous Jetpacks for different types of armor with the ability to apply a unique coloring in different versions, thanks to the author of ThirdStorm, each jetpack with its own design ("Death from Heaven", "Red Fury" and "Green Machine").

Update: 1.0.2
- All mod files are now packed in .b2a format, if you previously installed the previous version, you will have to completely delete all mod files.
- Files are now saved in DXT1 format with corresponding mipmaps.
- Adjusted the wear effect in special texture maps to be a little more friendly with ENB mods that have low amounts of brightness.

More details:
1. There are 16 color variations in total for each type of Power Armor, which have 2 color options with unique designs for the body and helmet to choose from.
2. All armor pieces will have a scuffed effect that has been handcrafted with appropriate texture normal maps to give each piece a realistic look.
3. Optional optional coloring option for the Jetpack, with its own unique stickers and textures.
4. The legs and arms of the Power Armor will have individual textures, so there will be no repeating symmetrical paint jobs in the Power Armor set.
5. These skins do not have any special overlays or attributes attached to them, so can be used with mods that contain the material attributes of Power Armor.
6. Texture quality in 2K and 4K quality.
7. 3 autonomous Jetpacks with the ability to modify a unique coloring.

How to use and where to find:
1. As usual, at the Power Armor service station you will find all the paint options.
2. There are options for right and left limbs. Green shades. Red shades.
3. Important!!! Bethesda made the vanilla decals for the arms and legs “mirror”, that is, one texture for the left and right sides, in this mod there are additional textures for the left and right sides (marked with numbers 1 and 2) To paint the armor correctly you need to use one number for the left side on the paint, respectively, on the right another. It's very easy - when painting, just look to see if the corresponding name for the armor appears at the top or not. appeared? BINGO!!! you did everything right!!!
4. Pay special attention to the limbs when adding colors. Make sure distinguished names and numbers match.
5. RECOMMENDED: I use textures from this mod" Black Titanium Power Armor Frame ", a very nice black Power Armor frame.

Question: Why are the numbers and inscriptions on the legs and arms different when I applied them?
Answer: To paint armor correctly, you need to use one number on the paint for the left side, and another number on the right side, respectively.

Requirements:
Fallout 4

When upgrading from 1.0.2 to 1.1:
- If you installed optional unique textures for the Jetpack, then delete the files pajetpack1_s.dds and pajetpack1_d.dds along the path Data/textures/actors/powerarmor
- Install the new version 1.1

Installation:(can be done manually or through NMM manager)
1. In the archive of the main mod, from the Data folder, take the file FALLOUT4WT.esp, FALLOUT4WT - Textures.ba2, FALLOUT4WT - Main.ba2 and place it in the Data folder in the game and activate it.
2. Download the file with the updated translation from the additional link.esp and install it on top of the main mod, replacing the file.
3. Using the additional link, you can download the “level sheets for shooters” option and install it.
