Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, for Thy great blessings upon us; we glorify Thee, bless, thank Thee, sing and magnify Thy compassion, and slavishly cry out to Thee in love: O our Benefactor, glory to Thee.

Kontakion, tone 3

As a servant of indecency, having been honored with Your blessings and gifts, Master, we earnestly flow to You, giving thanks according to our strength, and glorifying You as the Benefactor and Creator, we cry out: Glory to You, All-Bountiful God. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Theotokos

Theotokos, Christian Helper, Your servants, having acquired Your intercession, cry out to You in gratitude: Rejoice, Most Pure Virgin Mother of God, and always deliver us from all our troubles with Your prayers, One who will soon intercede.

Prayer 1

We thank Thee, Lord our God, for all Thy good deeds, even from the first age to the present, in us, Thy unworthy servants (names), who were, known and unknown, about those revealed and unmanifested, even those who were in deed and in word: who loved us as and You deigned to give Your Only Begotten Son for us, making us worthy to be worthy of Your love. Grant with Your word wisdom and with Your fear inhale strength from Your power, and whether we have sinned, whether willingly or unwillingly, forgive and not impute, and keep our soul holy, and present it to Thy Throne, having a clear conscience, and the end is worthy of Thy love for mankind; and remember, O Lord, all who call upon Thy name in truth, remember all who desire good or evil against us: for all are men, and every man is in vain; We also pray to You, Lord, grant us Your great mercy.

Prayer 2

The Cathedral of Saints Angel and Archangel, with all the heavenly powers, sings to Thee and says: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, heaven and earth are filled with Thy glory. Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. Save me, Who art thou King on high, save me and sanctify me, Source of sanctification; For from You all creation is strengthened, To You countless warriors sing the Trisagion hymn. Unworthy of You, who sits in the unapproachable light, of whom all things are terrified, I pray: enlighten my mind, cleanse my heart, and open my lips, so that I may worthily sing to You: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, Lord, always, now, and ever and to endless ages of ages. Amen.

How often do they read prayers to saints and the Lord asking for help, guidance, and protection? How often do you thank God? Gratitude is a small price to pay for what we have, what the Lord has given us. Ungrateful people are no better than sinners; they do not appreciate God's mercy, which means they do not respect themselves and their surroundings. It seems to many that their life is boring and gray, there is no joy and happiness in it, and they have nothing to thank the Almighty for, but as soon as they read the prayer “Thanksgiving for every good deed of God,” everything around them will appear in a different light.

Words of gratitude are pleasant for everyone; this is how respect and recognition are expressed, this is how love is shown. For his labors, for his gifts to us, the Lord, like no one else, deserves that people read prayers of gratitude for every good deed of God. It doesn’t matter where you live or what language you speak, it is important that the words of gratitude come from the heart.

What do they thank the Lord for?

Before an important task, they ask God for blessings, they look for support in difficulties, healing in illnesses, protection from bad thoughts and enemies. But words of gratitude after completing a task or healing, at the end of the day, even if it did not bring joy, are said much less often. “Thanksgiving for every good deed of God” should be read not on special occasions, but constantly. And if thoughts arise that there is nothing to thank the Lord for, then you should think about this:

  • The Lord has given us life and soul;
  • He supported and watched over us, our ups and downs, protected us in difficulties and helped us overcome them, even when we didn’t ask;
  • For all awards and achievements we owe to Him;
  • His lessons and trials have made us who we are today;
  • Thanks to Him, we have family, friends, home, work and many other important components of our lives;
  • All our past, all knowledge and experience were given by the Lord.

Second prayer

The Cathedral of Saints Angel and Archangel, with all the heavenly powers, sings to Thee and says: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, heaven and earth are filled with Thy glory. Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. Amen.

Song of praise of Saint Ambrose of Milan

We praise God to you, we confess the Lord to you, the whole earth magnifies your eternal Father. To You all the angels, to You the heavens and all the powers, to You the unceasing voices of the cherubim and seraphim cry: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts, the heavens and earth are full of the majesty of Your glory. To you is the glorious apostolic face, to you the prophetic number of praise, to you is praised by the bright martyr's army, to you throughout the entire universe the Holy Church confesses, the Father of incomprehensible majesty, the worship of your true and only begotten Son, and the Holy Comforter of the Spirit. You, the King of Glory Christ, You are the ever-present Son of the Father: You, having received man for the deliverance, did not disdain the Virgin’s womb. Having overcome the sting of death, you have opened the Kingdom of Heaven to believers. You are seated at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father, the Judge is trusting to come. We therefore ask you: help your servants, whom you have redeemed with your honest blood. Make it worthy to reign with Your saints in Your eternal glory. Save Thy people, O Lord, and bless Thy inheritance, I will correct and exalt them forever: we will bless Thee all the days, and we will praise Thy name forever and ever. Grant, Lord, that on this day we may be preserved without sin. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us: may Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trust in Thee: in Thee, O Lord, do we trust, that we may not be ashamed forever. Amen.

Prayer of thanksgiving for all the blessings of God, St. John of Kronstadt

God! What will I bring to You, how will I thank You for Your constant, greatest mercies to me and to the rest of Your people? For behold, every moment I am enlivened by Your Holy Spirit, every moment I breathe the air You diffuse, light, pleasant, healthy, strengthening - I am enlightened by Your joyful and life-giving light - spiritual and material; I feed on sweet and life-giving spiritual food and the same drink, the holy Mysteries of Your Body and Blood and material sweet food and drinks; You dress me with a bright, beautiful royal robe - with Yourself and material clothes, you cleanse my sins, heal and cleanse my many and fierce sinful passions; You take away my spiritual corruption in the power of Your immeasurable goodness, wisdom and strength, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit - the Spirit of holiness, grace; You give my soul truth, peace and joy, space, strength, boldness, courage, strength, and you endow my body with precious health; You teach my hands to fight and my fingers to fight with the invisible enemies of my salvation and bliss, with the enemies of the holiness and power of Your glory, with the spirits of wickedness in high places; You crown my deeds done in Your name with success. For all this I thank, glorify and bless Thy all-good, fatherly, all-powerful power, O God, our Savior, our Benefactor. But be known by Your other people as You appeared to me, O Lover of Mankind, so that they may know You, the Father of all, Your goodness, Your providence, Your wisdom and power, and glorify You, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Another prayer Saint John of Kronstadt

I thank Thee, Lord my God, for giving me existence, for giving me birth in the Christian faith, for the Most Pure Virgin Mary, Intercessor for the salvation of our race, for Thy saints praying for us, for the Guardian Angel, for public worship that supports us faith and virtue, for the Holy Scriptures, for the Holy Sacraments, and especially Your Body and Blood, for the mysterious grace-filled consolations, for the hope of receiving the Kingdom of Heaven and for all the blessings You have given me.

Prayer to the Most Holy Trinity, St. John of Kronstadt

O Trinity, our God! Simple Being, who created our soul in Your image, so that in You we have our life and peace! O Trinity, our Nourisher and Hope! Give us in You alone to always place our hope, in You alone to find life and peace. About the Trinity! You, like a mother, carry us all in Your arms and feed us all from Your hands, like the most tender mother! You will never forget us, for You Yourself said: even if a woman forgets her childhood, I will not forget to nourish, preserve, protect, deliver and save.

Thanksgiving for every good deed of God

It is advisable to read prayers of thanksgiving every day. Thank the Lord for every day you live, for the blessings sent down to you, for the great gift of health, for the happiness of your children. For everything you have at the moment, even if, from your point of view, it is not that much.

Saint Gregory the Theologian wrote: “The Lord thirsts to be thirsty, and fills those who want to drink; He accepts it as a good deed if they ask Him for a good deed. He is accessible and generously gives great gifts, giving with greater joy than others accept on their own. Just by not revealing a low soul, asking for what is unimportant and unworthy of the Giver.”

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we praise Thee, we praise Thee, we thank Thee, great for the sake of Thy glory. Lord the King of heaven, God the Father Almighty. Lord, Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Soul. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, take away the sins of the world, accept our prayer. Sit at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you are the only Holy One, You are the only Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.

I will bless You every day, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.

May Thy mercy be upon us, O Lord, as we trust in Thee.

Blessed art thou, Lord, teach me by thy justification (this is repeated three times).

Lord, you have been our refuge throughout all generations. Az said: Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul for those who have sinned against You. Lord, I have come to You, teach me to do Your will, for You are my God, for You are the source of life, in Your light we will see the sowing. Show Your mercy to those who lead You.

Song of the Lord Jesus Christ:

The only begotten Son and the Word of God, immortal, and willing for our salvation to be incarnate from the Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, immutably made man, crucified Christ God, trampling death by death, the only one of the Holy Trinity, glorified to the Father and the Holy Spirit, save us.

In Your Kingdom, remember us, O Lord, when You come to Your Kingdom.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for for them is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are those who cry, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

Blessed ones are merciful, for they will receive mercy.

Blessed are those who are pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for these shall be called sons of God.

Blessed is the expulsion of truth for the sake of them, for those are the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are you when they revile you, and destroy you, and say all sorts of evil things against you for lying to Me.

Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is abundant in heaven.

The Lord shepherds me and will deprive me of nothing. In a green place, there they settled me, on the calm water they raised me. Convert my soul, guide me on the paths of righteousness, for Your name’s sake. Even if I walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your club will comfort me. Thou hast prepared a table before me to resist those who are cold against me: Thou hast anointed my head with oil, and Thy cup makes me drunken, like a mighty one. And Thy mercy will marry me all the days of my life, and let us dwell in the house of the Lord for the length of days.

Prayer of gratitude to the guardian angel.

Having thanked and glorified my Lord, the One God of the Orthodox Jesus Christ for His beneficence, I appeal to you, holy angel of Christ, Divine warrior. I appeal with a prayer of gratitude, I thank you for your mercy towards me and for your intercession for me before the face of the Lord. Be glorified in the Lord, angel!

A short version of a prayer of gratitude to the guardian angel.

Having glorified the Lord, I pay tribute to you, my guardian angel. Glorious be you in the Lord! Amen.

Prayer of thanksgiving, by St. John of Kronstadt, read after healing from an illness.

Glory to Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Father Without Beginning, who alone heals every ailment and every illness among people, for You have had mercy on me, a sinner, and delivered me from my illness, not allowing it to develop and kill me according to my sins. Grant me from now on, Master, the strength to firmly do Your will for the salvation of my damned soul and for Your glory with Your Originless Father and Your Consubstantial Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayers of thanksgiving for Holy Communion.

Glory to You, God. Glory to You, God. Glory to You, God.

Prayer of thanksgiving, 1st

I thank you, Lord, my God, for you have not rejected me as a sinner, but have made me worthy to be a partaker of your holy things. I thank You, for You have vouchsafed me, who is unworthy, to partake of Your Most Pure and Heavenly Gifts. But the Lord, the Lover of Mankind, for our sake, died and rose again, and granted us this terrible and life-giving Sacrament for the benefit and sanctification of our souls and bodies, grant this to me for the healing of soul and body, for the driving away of all that is resistant, for the enlightenment of the eyes of my heart , into the peace of my spiritual strength, into unashamed faith, into unfeigned love, into the fulfillment of wisdom, into the observance of Thy commandments, into the application of Thy Divine grace and the appropriation of Thy Kingdom; Yes, we preserve them in Your shrine, I always remember Your grace, and I live not for myself, but for You, our Master and Benefactor; and thus having gone from this life to the hope of the eternal life, I will achieve everlasting peace, where those who celebrate the unceasing voice and endless sweetness, who behold the ineffable kindness of Your face. For You are the true desire and the inexpressible joy of those who love You, Christ our God, and all creation sings to You forever. Amen.

Prayer 2, St. Basil the Great

Master Christ God, King of the ages, and Creator of all, I thank Thee for all the good things He has given me, and for the communion of Thy most pure and life-giving Mysteries. I pray to Thee, O Kinder and Lover of Mankind: keep me under Thy roof, and in the shadow of Thy wing; and grant me with a clear conscience, even until my last breath, to worthily partake of Your holy things, for the remission of sins and eternal life. For You are the living bread, the source of holiness, the Giver of good things, and we send up glory to You, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer 3, Simeon Metaphrastus

Having given me flesh by Your will, fire and scorch the unworthy, do not scorch me, my Creator; rather, go into my mouth, into all my parts, into my womb, into my heart. The thorns of all my sins fell. Cleanse your soul, sanctify your thoughts. Confirm the compositions with the bones together. Enlighten the simple five of feelings. Fill me with Thy fear. Cover me always, keep me, and save me from every deed and word of the soul. Cleanse and wash and adorn me; Fertilize, enlighten, and enlighten me. Show me Your village of the one Spirit, and not to anyone the village of sin. Yes, like Your house, the entrance of communion, like fire, every evildoer, every passion flees from me. I offer prayer books to You, all the saints, the orders of the disembodied, Your Forerunner, the wise Apostles, and to this Your undefiled, pure Mother, graciously accept their prayers, my Christ, and make Your servant a son of light. For You are the sanctification and the only one of ours, the Good One, of souls and lordship; and like unto You, like God and the Master, we send all glory every day.

May Thy Holy Body, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, be unto me for eternal life, and Thy Honest Blood for the remission of sins: may this thanksgiving be unto me joy, health and gladness; at Thy terrible and second coming, vouchsafe me, a sinner, to the right hand of Thy glory, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother and all the saints.

Prayer 5, to the Most Holy Theotokos

Most Holy Lady Theotokos, light of my darkened soul, hope, protection, refuge, consolation, joy, I thank Thee, for Thou hast vouchsafed me, unworthy, to be a partaker of the Most Pure Body and Honest Blood of Thy Son. But She who gave birth to the true Light, enlighten my intelligent eyes of the heart; You who gave birth to the Source of immortality, revive me, killed by sin; Even the merciful Mother of God, have mercy on me, and give me tenderness and contrition in my heart, and humility in my thoughts, and appeal in the captivity of my thoughts; and grant me, until my last breath, to receive consecration of the most pure Mysteries without condemnation, for the healing of soul and body. And give me tears of repentance and confession, to sing and praise Thee all the days of my life, for Thou art blessed and glorified forever. Amen.

Now do You let Your servant go, O Master, according to Your word, in peace: for my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all people, a light for the revelation of tongues and the glory of Your people Israel.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (three times).

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.

Lord, have mercy (three times).

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven! Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as it is in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors; and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Troparion of St. John Chrysostom, tone 8

With your lips, like the lordship of a fire, shining grace, enlighten the universe: do not gain the love of money and the treasures of the world, showing us the height of humility, but chastising with your words, Father John Chrysostom, pray to the Word of Christ God to save our souls.

Glory: You have received Divine grace from heaven, and through your lips you have taught us all to worship the one God in the Trinity. All-blessed John Chrysostom, Reverend, we worthily praise you: you are a mentor, as if you are manifesting the Divine.

Troparion to Basil the Great, tone 1:

Thy message went out into the whole earth, as if it had received your word, which thou hast divinely taught, thou hast clarified the nature of beings, thou hast adorned human customs, the royal priesthood, reverend father, pray to Christ God that our souls may be saved.

Glory: You have appeared as an unshakable foundation for the church, giving to all inconspicuous dominion by man, sealing with your commands, the unappearing Reverend Basil.

And now: The intercession of Christians is not shameful, the intercession to the Creator is immutable, do not despise the voices of sinful prayers, but advance, as the Good One, to the aid of us who faithfully call Thee: hasten to prayer, and strive to supplicate, ever interceding, the Mother of God, who honor Thee.

Whom have we received from God above divine grace, O glorious Gregory, and whom we strengthen with strength, who thou hast deigned to walk in the gospel, from whom thou hast most blessedly received from Christ the recompense of labor: pray unto him that he may save our souls.

Glory: You appeared to the Chief to be the shepherd of Christ, the monks of the succession, Father Gregory, instructing the heavenly fence, and from there you taught the flock of Christ with His commandment: now you rejoice with them, and rejoice in the heavenly roofs.

Lord, have mercy (12 times). Slava: And now:

We magnify Thee, the most honorable Cherub and the most glorious without comparison, the Seraphim, who gave birth to God the Word without corruption, the real Mother of God.

Thanksgiving for every good deed of God.

Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, for Thy great good deeds upon us; we glorify Thee, bless, thank Thee, sing and magnify Thy compassion, and slavishly cry out to Thee in love: O our Benefactor, glory to Thee.

Theotokos, Christian Helper, Your servants, having acquired Your intercession, cry out to You in gratitude: Rejoice, Most Pure Virgin Mother of God, and always deliver us from all our troubles with Your prayers, One who will soon intercede.

Main prayers: Lord's Prayer, Jesus Prayer

All Christians remember God throughout the day, some do it in vain, some consciously call on the Creator. Thanksgiving for God's blessings is a set of prayers, akathists and prayers written by saints or a sincere appeal in one's own words to the Creator, spoken in faith and joy.

When reading, making petitions to the saints, believers first of all ask for health, help in solving family problems and much more, and few people put thanksgiving first.

Why and why Christians should thank God

In his letter to the Thessalonians in chapter 5:16-18, the Apostle Paul clearly defined the state of Christian behavior:

  • rejoice;
  • pray without ceasing;
  • give thanks for everything.

Here Paul gives the answer why Christians should do this, for this is God's will for those who recognize themselves as followers of Jesus Christ.

Articles about prayers of thanksgiving:

The sequence of this instruction is interesting. When you wake up, rejoice, be filled with God’s presence, and only after that begin prayer, constantly thanking God for everything:

  • morning awakening;
  • health;
  • food;
  • relatives and friends;
  • for a roof over our heads and many such important things in our lives that have become familiar that we no longer value them.

Some may argue that there is little reason for joy and thanksgiving during these difficult times, but true joy lies in the promises of Jesus Christ, salvation and eternal life.

Important! It’s easy to give thanks when you are loved and have everything, but to thank God at the moment when worldly joys have evaporated, this is faith.

Every doctor will say that a person who knows how to rejoice gets sick less and lives longer, while skeptics are more likely to become depressed, experience fear and anger, which cause illness. According to a study by Boston University professor Bernard Fix, among cancer patients there are 2 times more people dissatisfied with life than people who know how to rejoice and thank God for all his blessings.

Read also articles about Christian virtues:

Continuous prayer is constant communication with the Creator, being in His presence and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Prayer can be compared to spiritual breathing. Try not to breathe for several minutes, without breathing a person dies, without prayer he loses spiritual life and protection.

The main purpose of prayer is constant communication with God

In unceasing prayer, which in itself is a gift that brings us closer to the Almighty God, we acquire strength and courage to walk through life, overcoming adversity and illness. Morning prayer and thanksgiving work miracles that can heal illness and solve problems.

Reading thanksgiving for all God's blessings, we can find exactly the prayer in which our gratitude will be expressed in a specific situation, the main thing is to do this with a pure, grateful heart and faith.

What happens during Thanksgiving

The Apostle Paul emphasizes that we must give thanks in everything. In giving thanks for every good deed of God, Christians should remember how they lived in darkness, without Light and hope. Only in a world where there is the authority of Jesus Christ does love, kindness and His wonderful grace to hear and answer prayers live.

Important! Ingratitude is often the root of all problems, because having, not seeing, losing, we begin to cry out to Jesus.

When believers give thanks for every good deed in God's prayer, they open the doors to a new world where there is no place for Satan and his atrocities.

During regular reading of the Orthodox prayer book and thanksgiving for every good deed of God, blessings come, and happiness, independent of anything, fills the house. In times of illness, sadness, and disappointment, Christians must learn to say one word, “Thank you.” Rejoicing, praying and giving thanks is the will of God, which contains the secret of victory over Satan.

Ingratitude is a sin

In Romans 1:21-22, the Apostle Paul calls those who, knowing God, do not thank Him, are fools. In the story of the lepers, we read that of the ten who were healed, only one returned to thank Jesus (Luke 7:11-18).

Continuous prayer is constant communication with the Creator

In 2 Timothy 3:1-5, among other vices, the Apostle Paul calls ingratitude a sign of the end of peace on earth.

Articles on the Orthodox understanding of sin:

Pride is the main quality of character; it does not allow a person to recognize the power of the Creator, His help in achievements. It is difficult for a proud person to ask and thank someone for something.

Psalm 49:23 says that a person who gives praise and thanksgiving to the Most High prepares the way for God's good deeds.

Troparion, tone 4

Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, for Thy great good deeds upon us; we glorify Thee, bless, thank Thee, sing and magnify Thy compassion, and slavishly cry out to Thee in love: O our Benefactor, glory to Thee.

Kontakion, tone 3

As the servants of indecency, having been vouchsafed, O Master, we diligently flow to You, we offer thanksgiving according to our strength, and to You, as the Benefactor and Creator, we cry out: glory to You, All-Bountiful God.

Unworthy of you, who sits in the unapproachable light, whom everyone is terrified of, I pray: enlighten my mind, cleanse my heart, and open my lips, so that I may worthily sing to you: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, Lord, always, now, and ever, and in endless centuries of centuries. Amen.

Prayer of thanksgiving for all God's blessings, St. John of Kronstadt

Song of praise in the likeness of the psalms of David (from the works of St. John of Kronstadt)

The Lord is my being; The Lord is deliverance from eternal death; The Lord is my eternal belly; The Lord is my purification and deliverance from many sins and my sanctification; The Lord is strength in my weakness, space in my distress, hope in my cowardice and despondency; The Lord is light in my darkness, peace in my confusion; The Lord is an intercessor in my temptations. He is my thinking, my desire, my activity; He is the light of soul and body, food, drink, my robe, my shield, my weapon. Everything is for me Lord!

Thanksgiving for the love of God and prayer for an increase in love for God

Merciful, merciful, humane and good God! I thank You, Lover of Mankind, from the depths of my heart for Your great, inexpressible, fatherly love with which You, loving God and Father, have always loved me. You care about me, you hear my prayer, you number my tears, you see my sighs, you know all my sorrow. You gave me Your beloved Son through His incarnation, through the Holy Gospel He taught and comforted me, through His example you showed me the path and rule of holy life, through His suffering and death you redeemed me from eternal death, through His ascension into heaven you opened paradise to me and prepared a place in heaven. You enlightened me with Your Holy Spirit, sanctified me, comforted me, strengthened me, taught me and gave me joy, and through Him you confirmed me in the childhood of God and eternal inheritance. You not only showed me great benefits, but also gave me Yourself with Your beloved Son and Holy Spirit. How can I sufficiently thank You for this great love? Grant me such a heart that I will never forget Your love. Never let her fade away in my heart. Inflame my heart, enlighten my mind, sanctify my will, rejoice my memory and unite me with You forever!

Thanksgiving for God's help in danger and preservation from harm

My God, I thank You that You have established my feet in Your paths, so that my steps do not stray. You have shown me Your wondrous mercy, You have preserved me like the apple of your eye, in the shadow of Your wings you have hidden me from the enemies of my soul who surround me. What shall I repay to the Lord for all his good deeds to me? Blessed be O Lord, my God, who alone works miracles, and blessed be Thy holy name forever, and may the whole earth be filled with Thy glory! Amen.

You will never forget us, for You Yourself said: even if a woman forgets her childhood, I will not forget you - to nourish, preserve, protect, deliver and save

Song of praise to St. Ambrose of Milan

Amen.

Prayer of thanksgiving for all God's blessings, St. John of Kronstadt

God! What will I bring to You, how will I thank You for Your constant, greatest mercies to me and to the rest of Your people? For behold, every moment I am enlivened by Your Holy Spirit, every moment I breathe the air You have diffused, light, pleasant, healthy, strengthening, I am enlightened by Your joyful and life-giving light - spiritual and material; I feed on sweet and life-giving spiritual food and the same drink, the holy Mysteries of Your Body and Blood and material sweet food and drinks; You dress me with a bright, beautiful royal robe - with Yourself and material clothes, you cleanse my sins, heal and cleanse my many and fierce sinful passions; You take away my spiritual corruption in the power of Your immeasurable goodness, wisdom and strength, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit - the Spirit of holiness, grace; You give my soul truth, peace and joy, space, strength, boldness, courage, strength, and you endow my body with precious health; You teach my hands to fight and my fingers to fight with the invisible enemies of my salvation and bliss, with the enemies of the holiness and power of Your glory, with the spirits of wickedness in high places; You crown my deeds done in Your name with success. Amen.

Prayer of St. John of Kronstadt

Glory to You, Almighty King, that You do not leave me in the darkness of the devil, but always send Your light into my darkness. You are my Lamp, Lord, and enlighten my darkness. My Lord, Lord Jesus Christ! My speedy, swift, unashamed Intercessor! I thank You with all my heart that You graciously listened to me: when I, in darkness, crampedness and flames of the enemy, cried out to You - you quickly, sovereignly, graciously delivered me from my enemies and gave my heart space, lightness, light! Oh, Master, how I suffered from the machinations of the enemy, how timely You showed me help and how obvious Your almighty help was! I praise Your goodness, benevolent Master, hope of the desperate; I praise You that You did not disgrace my face in the end, but mercifully delivered me from the darkness and dishonor of hell. How, after this, can I ever despair of Your hearing and mercy on me, the damned? I will, I will always call on Your sweetest name, my Savior; But You, O innumerable Grace, as always, here and before, save me according to Your immeasurable compassion, for Your name is the Lover of Mankind and the Savior!
